Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner with a suction attachment and with a handle, wherein a handle and / or a suction tube and / or a suction unit is arranged to guide the suction attachment by means of the handle between them and with a lighting device for illuminating the working area in front of the suction attachment.
- Vacuum cleaners with lighting equipment are well known.
- a lamp is arranged in the suction attachment, see for example DE 103 53 456 A1 .
- the lamp is activated by switching on the supply voltage of the vacuum cleaner and the associated switching on the suction fan and this remains for the entire suction operation.
- this is not always necessary and therefore causes too high an energy consumption.
- either a difficult-to-reach switch would have to be arranged on the suction attachment or an additional line would have to be laid in a more accessible area.
- an illumination of the suction area is only possible if the vacuum cleaner is equipped with the corresponding suction unit.
- a vacuum cleaner is known in which a lamp is inserted by means of a retaining clip on the suction pipe.
- the lamp is powered by an exposed cable from the vacuum cleaner.
- the DE 202 02 690 U1 discloses a vacuum cleaner, which is designed as a so-called table vacuum cleaner or vehicle vacuum cleaner.
- a lighting device is arranged at a rear portion of the main housing. It is therefore unable to illuminate the work area in front of the suction attachment.
- the power button of the lighting is arranged on a handle.
- the invention thus raises the problem of disclosing a vacuum cleaner of the type mentioned, in which the lighting device with simple handling energy-saving and simple design.
- Patent claim 1 solved. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention will become apparent from the following subclaims.
- the illumination device is arranged in the handle and that arranged in or on the handle a receptacle for at least one accumulator or at least one battery for powering the illumination device and an operating device for switching on and / off the illumination device is.
- the handle is equipped with a self-sufficient lighting device that can be operated independently of a base unit and only if the operator desires.
- the operating device is designed as a button. This will make the user aware of the "being turned on” lighting. It is particularly advantageous if the switch is associated with a switching device which keeps the lighting device turned on for a predetermined period after releasing the button. For short switch-on times, a single press on the button is sufficient; for longer periods, a certain afterglow occurs with a slow extinction.
- a long-lasting and energy-saving lighting is achieved by the use of at least one light-emitting diode. It is advantageous if a driver circuit is used, with which the light-emitting diode is operated even with decreasing cell voltage of the battery or the accumulator with a constant current. As a result, a constant illuminance is achieved.
- the illumination device is assigned an optical device which generates a light cone directed into the bottom region in front of the suction attachment.
- the claimed lighting device is preferably used in a vacuum cleaner, which is formed with a suction pipe arranged between the suction and the suction pipe.
- FIGS. 2 to 4 show the handle 4 as a detail, being in FIG. 2 in perspective, in the FIG. 3 in a longitudinal section and in the FIG. 4 is shown in an exploded view.
- the handle 4 consists essentially of a handle portion 41, a hose connection piece 42 and a pipe connection piece 43.
- the hose connection piece 42 is rotatably mounted on the handle portion 41, he takes the suction hose 3 by means of a locking connection, not shown.
- the pipe connection piece 43 is rotatably connected to the handle part 41. He also has a locking receptacle 44, by means of which the suction tube 5 can be attached to the handle.
- the handle part 41 has an outer housing which consists of a handle upper part 45, a handle bottom part 46 and a cover 47. In the cover, a transparent disc 48 and a lid 49 are used, above the lid 49, a control knob 80 is arranged.
- the lighting device 8 is arranged under the cover 47.
- the lamp itself is designed as a light-emitting diode 81 and arranged on a circuit board 82.
- On this board 82 are also a switching device 83 and a driver circuit 84, whose function will be explained later.
- the board 82 has a rectangular cutout 85, in which a receiving drum 86 for three 1.5 volt AAA batteries or corresponding accumulators (both not shown) is used. These supply the power supply for the light-emitting diode 81 via the aforementioned circuits 83 and 84.
- the drum 86 can be removed after removal of the cover 49, so that batteries or accumulators can be exchanged.
- a lens 87 is arranged which focuses the emitted light and directs it through the transparent pane 48 to the position in front of the suction attachment 6.
- the lens 87 is held by a lens holder 88.

The invention thus raises the problem of disclosing a vacuum cleaner of the type mentioned, in which the lighting device with simple handling energy-saving and simple design.
Erfindungsgemäß wird dieses Problem durch einen Staubsauger mit den Merkmalen desAccording to the invention, this problem is solved by a vacuum cleaner with the features of
The achievable with the invention advantages result from the fact that the illumination device is arranged in the handle and that arranged in or on the handle a receptacle for at least one accumulator or at least one battery for powering the illumination device and an operating device for switching on and / off the illumination device is. As a result, the handle is equipped with a self-sufficient lighting device that can be operated independently of a base unit and only if the operator desires.
In an advantageous embodiment, the operating device is designed as a button. This will make the user aware of the "being turned on" lighting. It is particularly advantageous if the switch is associated with a switching device which keeps the lighting device turned on for a predetermined period after releasing the button. For short switch-on times, a single press on the button is sufficient; for longer periods, a certain afterglow occurs with a slow extinction.
A long-lasting and energy-saving lighting is achieved by the use of at least one light-emitting diode. It is advantageous if a driver circuit is used, with which the light-emitting diode is operated even with decreasing cell voltage of the battery or the accumulator with a constant current. As a result, a constant illuminance is achieved.
In order to enable a good illumination of the region to be sucked in front of the suction attachment, the illumination device is assigned an optical device which generates a light cone directed into the bottom region in front of the suction attachment.
The claimed lighting device is preferably used in a vacuum cleaner, which is formed with a suction pipe arranged between the suction and the suction pipe.

- the handle of the vacuum cleaner in different representations.
- In
FIG. 1 anoperable vacuum cleaner 1 is shown. It has abase housing 2 to which asuction hose 3, ahandle 4 and asuction tube 5, asuction attachment 6, here in the form of a simple floor nozzle, is connected. Thefloor nozzle 6 dissolves the dirt located on thefloor 7. This is then passed together with the sucked air through thesuction pipe 5 and thesuction hose 3 into the interior of thebase housing 2. There, the dirt is filtered out of the sucked air in a known manner. Thehandle 4 serves on the one hand to connect thesuction tube 5 andsuction hose 3, - On the other hand, it is provided for guiding and guiding the
suction attachment 6 over thesoil 7 to be processed. Like in theFIG. 1 can be seen, in thehandle 4, alighting device 8 is installed with which the operator can illuminate awork area 9 in front of thesuction attachment 6 when using thevacuum cleaner 1 in the described arrangement.
The
Release the
