Claims (4)

  1. Apparatus (1) for providing access to parking spaces (2), with which apparatus a blocking device (5), which is attached to holding apparatus (3), is provided in front of each parking space (2), and each blocking device (5) can be locked to and detached again from a locking device (8) arranged at each parking space (2) opposite the holding apparatus (3), each locking device (8) having apparatus for receiving a deposit, and there being provided a blocking unit (9) which can be controlled by an operating unit (13) and which co-operates with the locking device (8), characterised in that at least one electronic control device (10) is provided and, for each parking space (2), there is arranged a sensor (11), which is intended to detect the presence and the absence of a vehicle or object in a parking space (2), in that each sensor (11) and each blocking unit (9) is also operatively connected to the electronic control device (10), and in that each blocking unit (9) is controllable via the electronic control device (10) with the aid of the operating unit (13).
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that each sensor (11) is arranged on holding apparatus (3).
  3. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that each electronic control device (10) is located on holding apparatus (3).
  4. Method for providing access to parking spaces (2), with which method a blocking device (5), which is attached to holding apparatus (3), is provided in front of each parking space (2), and each blocking device (5) can be locked to and detached again from a locking device (8) arranged at each parking space (2) opposite the holding apparatus (3), each locking device (8) having apparatus for receiving a deposit, and there being provided a blocking unit (9) which can be controlled by an operating unit (13) and which co-operates with the locking device (8), characterised in that, with the aid of detection and control means, the deposit paid for using a parking space (2) is not released by the locking device (8) until the previously parked vehicle or the previously deposited object is no longer in the parking space (2).
