Ebenfalls drei der vier Halteeinrichtungen 3, rechts dargestellt, weisen eine Verriegelungsvorrichtung 8 zur Aufnahme des Schlüssels 7 einer Sperrvorrichtung 5 auf, wobei auch jede Verriegelungsvorrichtung 8 eine Einrichtung zur Aufnahme eines Pfandes aufweist. In der Zeichnung befinden sich die Sperrvorrichtungen 5 in der Sperrposition. Nach erfolgtem Besuch wird der Stellplatz 2 mit Hilfe der Bedieneinheit 13 vorläufig freigeschaltet. Bei diesem Vorgang, bei dem sich die erwähnte Person noch nicht am Stellplatz 2 befindet, wird die mit einer Antenne ausgestattete Steuerelektronik 10 in Bereitschaft versetzt, auf die Sperreinheit 9 so einzuwirken, dass ein Auslösen des Pfandes dann möglich ist, wenn der für den Stellplatz 2 zuständige Sensor 11 als Erkennungsmittel das Verlassen des Fahrzeuges erkannt hat. Es ist also notwendig, das Fahrzeug vom Stellplatz 2 wegzuführen, um dem Sensor 11 die Abgabe eines entsprechenden Signals an die als Steuerungsmittel vorgesehene Steuerelektronik 10 zu ermöglichen. Durch dieses Signal wird die Sperreinheit 9 von der Steuerelektronik 10 veranlasst, die Sperrposition aufzugeben, damit der Schlüssel 7 der Sperrvorrichtung 5 in die Verriegelungsvorrichtung 8 eingeführt und dort bei gleichzeitiger Freigabe des Pfandes verriegelt werden kann. Der Stellplatz 2 ist somit durch die Sperrvorrichtung 5 wieder abgesperrt und die Person hat ihr zuvor entrichtetes Pfand zurückerhalten.
Das eben beschriebene Ausführungsbeispiel empfiehlt sich dann, wenn auf eine Verkabelung der einzelnen Stellplatzsysteme verzichtet werden kann oder eine derartige Verkabelung nicht möglich ist. Dann ist auf jeden Fall jeweils eine Steuerelektronik 10 pro Stellplatz 2 erforderlich.
Ist eine Verkabelung der einzelnen beschriebenen Systeme möglich, kann pro Einrichtung 1 eine einzige Steuerelektronik 10 genügen, die bei entsprechender Programmierung alle Stellplätze 2 verwalten und steuern kann und die auch an einer beliebigen Stelle der Einrichtung 1 installierbar ist. Ebenso kann die Bedieneinheit 13 als tragbares oder fest installiertes Gerät vorgesehen sein.
Es ist auch möglich, die Verriegelungsvorrichtung 8 und die Sperreinheit 9 als eine einzige Baueinheit zu gestalten. Ebenso ist es denkbar, die Sperreinheit 9 der Verriegelungsvorrichtung 8 funktional zuzuordnen, so dass zwei Baueinheiten gebildet sind.
Schließlich bleibt es dem jeweiligen Anwendungsfall überlassen, wo pro Stellplatz 2 der jeweilige Sensor 11 anzuordnen ist.
