Der PKW fährt durch die offene Schranke 9 über die Rampe 10 auf den Zufahrtsweg 11 und auf diesem entlang, bis er die für ihn geöffnete Schranke 13 erreicht. An dieser biegt er in die Fahrgasse des betreffenden Blockes ein und fährt auf einen Stellplatz dieses Blockes. Verläßt er den Block, so registriert das die an dessen Ausgang angeordnete Lichtschranke 14. Die zentrale Steuerung kennt auf diese Weise die Belegung des Blockes.
Der Automat 15 zur Aufnahme des Parkscheines und die Schranke 16 dienen in üblicher Weise zur Prüfung der Entrichtung der Parkgebühr.

Claims (7)

  1. Car park having
    parking spaces (A-H) of differing size
    in each case for the vehicle sizes lying within a certain range,
    devices (6) for detecting the size of arriving vehicles, and
    devices (4; 5; 7; 9; 13) for guiding the vehicles to the designated parking spaces for the relevant vehicle size,
    characterized in that the last-mentioned devices are moveable, mechanical obstructions which forcibly guide the vehicles.
  2. Car park according to Claim 1, characterized in that the mechanical obstructions are barriers (4; 7; 9; 13) and/or moveable bollards.
  3. Car park according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that lanes of differing width are provided for parking spaces of differing size.
  4. Car park according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized by blocks (A-H) with parking spaces of the same size and with a lane of associated width.
  5. Car park according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the devices for detecting the size have receivers for data transmitted from the vehicle.
  6. Car park according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized by supplementary passing on of information to the driver about the position of the parking space.
  7. Car park according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized by a control system to the effect that if the parking spaces of the size provided for the vehicles are fully occupied, the said vehicles are guided to larger parking spaces.
