Claims (8)
- A door closer (10) with an assembly of springs (14) subject to be tensioned upon opening the door, which assembly delivers the closing momentum required to close the door, and with a gear (20 to 28), between the assembly of springs (14) and the door for the purpose of influencing the power course, which changes with the opening angle of the door, whereby the gear (20 to 28), changing its ratio of transmission via the opening angle of the door, presents a first and a second toothed wheel (24, 28) meshing with each other and being formed by a circular toothed wheel rim respectively, and which, while the distance of the axes thereof remains the same, are supported in bearings eccentrically with regard to their centers (42, 44), and the first toothed wheel (28) being connected with a driven shaft (30) and the second toothed wheel (24) being connected, coaxially with regard to the pivotal point (38) thereof, with a toothed wheel (22) engaging in a toothed rack (20), that is coupled to the assembly of springs (14), whereby the rotational axis (32) of the driven shaft (30) extends through the pivotal point (40) of the first toothed wheel (28), all of the above is arranged such that the toothed wheels' (24, 28) eccentricity (e) resulting from the respective center (42, 44) of a toothed wheel (24, 28) and the pivotal point (38, 40), is point-symmetric to their pitch point (46).
- A door closer according to claim 1, characterized in that both toothed wheels (24, 28) present a structural shape corresponding to each other.
- A door closer according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the toothed wheels (24, 28) present standard toothing.
- A door closer according to any of the above claims, characterized in that for toothing according to DIN 867, the ratio of the degree of eccentricity and the base circle diameter does not exceed 0.137.
- A door closer according to any of the above claims, characterized in that it is executed as an overhead door closer with an active lever arm of force, changing through the rotation range, between an articulation point of the pivotable door leaf of the associated door and another articulation point outside the door leaf, which lever arm of force acts upon the driven shaft (30).
- A door closer according to claim 5, characterized in that the active lever arm of force is realised by a sliding track arm assembly.
- A door closer according to claim 5, characterized in that the active lever arm of force is realised by a knee lever assembly.
- A door closer according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it is executed as a floor spring, the driven shaft (30) thereof cooperating with the bearing of the doof leaf.
