Auf dem Wertpapiersektor entstehen weiters auch Probleme dadurch, daß sich Farbkopiergeräte von immer besser werdender Qualität und Ausstattung verbreiten, die Kopien liefern, die insbesondere bei flüchtiger Betrachtung, wie sie im Geschäftsleben üblich ist, sich vom Original kaum unterscheiden lassen. Es werden daher vermehrt Anstrengungen unternommen, Verfahren zu entwickeln, die ein Kopieren von Wertpapieren unmöglich machen oder zumindest Kopien liefern, die sich in auffälliger Weise vom Original unterscheiden. So wurde schon vorgeschlagen (DE-OS 33 14 670), auf zumindest einen Teil der Oberfläche eines vertraulichen Dokumentes ein Material aufzutragen, das beim Belichten mit Illuminationslicht befähigt ist, Licht mit einer Wellenlänge zu emittieren, die verschieden ist von der Wellenlänge des Illuminationslichts. Es wird vorgeschlagen, bei einem Wertpapier der eingangs erwähnten Art, daß die durchsichtige Folie das Fenster ausfüllt bzw. an der Ober- und/oder Unterseite des Papieres, das Fenster überspannend, befestigt ist. Durch den erfindungsgemäßen Vorschlag wird erreicht, daß das Fenster als Öffnung bzw. offenes Fenster ausgebildet ist und die durchsichtige Folie eine Klarsichtfolie ist, die das Fenster ausfüllt, so daß die Oberfläche eben, d.h. auch an der Fensterkontur frei von einer Stufe ist. Die Folie schließt somit beidseits mit der Außenfläche des Papieres bündig ab. Dabei ist es jedoch auch möglich, die durchsichtige Folie an der Ober- und/oder Unterseite des Papieres so anzuordnen, daß die Folie das Fenster überspannt. Das Fenster ist solcherart zumindest von einer Seite her gegen den Zutritt von Schmutz verschlossen. Bei der Ausführungsform gemäß Fig. 2 ist das Fenster 2 sowohl an der Oberfläche als auch an der unteren Seite des Papieres 1 durch die Folie 3 bzw. ein transparentes Papier abgedeckt, die bzw. das mit dem Papier 1, z.B. durch Klebung, fest verbunden ist. Die Folie 3 bzw. das transparente Papier kann sich dabei auch über die gesamte Oberfläche des Papieres, d.h. bis zu den Papierrändern, erstrecken. Es ist auch möglich, das Fenster nur an einer Seite des Papieres durch eine Folie 3 bzw. eine Schicht aus transparentem Papier abzudecken. Diese Folie bzw. Claims (3)

  1. A security paper such as a bank note, cheque or the like, with at least one window (2) covered by a foil (3), which window penetrates the paper and is arranged as an opening or an open window, with the foil (3) being arranged translucently within the outline of the window, e.g. being a plastic foil, characterized in that the translucent foil (3) is a transparent foil which fills the window (2) and is attached to the upper and/or lower side of the paper (1) while traversing the window (2).
  2. A security paper as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that it is arranged as a two-layer sandwich made from a normal paper layer with a spared window and a second layer consisting of the transparent foil.
  3. A security paper as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the transparent foil is made from transparent paper.
