Definitions
- the invention is concerned with ferrite core halves for the vertical deflection of electron beams in picture tubes, in particular with the attachment of wire guide rings on the ferrite core halves.
- wire guide rings which serve as stops or deflection points due to their shape when winding vertical deflection coils, are firmly connected to at least one edge of the respective ferrite core half.
- This connection is usually designed as an adhesive connection.
- connection of the ferrite core half and the wire guide ring is designed as a solvent diffusion bond.
- Ferrite core halves and wire guide rings connected in this way are realized, for example, in the deflector from Nokia, which bears the designation A 28-5 (460866761).
- This Connection ensures good adhesion of the wire guide ring to the ferrite core half.
- the solvent contains trichlorethylene. The health hazards that can arise from trichlorethylene, as well as the high expenditure on equipment associated with the use of trichlorethylene, need not be dealt with separately here.
- Tolerances between the ferrite core halves and wire guide rings are excluded in solvent dispersion bonding by the connection of ferrite core halves and wire guide rings being pressure-bonded, with a curing time of about 30 to 40 seconds being required.
- wire guide rings and ferrite core halves could also be carried out using two-component adhesives.
- These known adhesives (such as a standard polyurethane adhesive from Wevo, Stuttgart with the designation 801 T) are, on the one hand, very expensive and very expensive to process. In this context, it should only be pointed out that when using two-component adhesives, immense amounts of solvents are required to prevent the adhesive nozzle from sticking.
- Cyanoacrylates as adhesives for connecting wire guide rings to ferrite cores are also known.
- these adhesives for example the cyanoacrylate adhesive from Loctite, Ireland with the designation 380
- cyanoacrylate adhesives require very tight tolerances between the ferrite core and the wire guide ring if fast curing mixtures of this adhesive are used.
- Costs can be met and, moreover, these mixtures tend to penetrate into the porous ferrite core and thereby impair the strength of the adhesive connection itself.
- cyanoacrylate adhesives are used which are more viscous in their consistency and therefore harden more slowly.
- a curing time of about three to four minutes is required, depending on the tolerance between the wire guide ring and the ferrite core. Since the comparatively long curing time of cyanoacrylate adhesives also means that the contact pressure on the wire guide ring or the ferrite core must also act for a long time, large quantities of equipment are required to ensure the pressing times over a period of three to four minutes.
- the invention has for its object to provide a connection of wire guide rings with ferrite core halves, which does not require compliance with close tolerances between the wire guide ring and ferrite core, is physiologically harmless and allows extremely short curing times.
- the adhesive which connects the ferrite core halves and the wire guide rings to one another is a UV-curing adhesive, and in that the wire guide rings are formed from plastic which is transparent to ultraviolet light.
- the adhesive will cure very well even with a short exposure time.
- the adhesive In order to achieve a very good connection between the wire guide ring and the ferrite core half, the adhesive, based on the finished adhesive mixture, must have a weight percentage of 5 to 45 percent of other acrylates in addition to the base material urethane acrylate with a weight percentage between 30 and 50 percent. If these other acrylates are hydroxypropyl acrylate, isobornyl acrylate and methacrylate esters and these other acrylates each have a weight percentage of 5 to 15 percent based on the finished adhesive mixture, very good strength of the connection between wire guide rings and ferrite core halves can be achieved even during fast cycle times during curing. Even with large tolerances of up to 500 »m, optimum connection strength and curing time are achieved when the percentage by weight of the other acrylates in relation to the finished adhesive mixture is the same.
- FIG. 1 shows two ferrite core halves (1) which together form the conical ferrite core of a vertical deflection unit for picture tubes.
- a wire guide ring (3) is glued to the large half circumference (2) of each ferrite core half (1), the wire guide rings (3) covering almost the entire half circumference (2) of the ferrite core halves (1).
- the wire guide rings (3) are made of transparent polycarbonate.
- webs (4) are formed which later serve as deflection points for the vertical deflection coil winding (not shown) when the respective ferrite core half (1) is wound.
- the wire guide rings (3) are glued to the ferrite core halves (1), as shown in FIG. 2.
- the adhesive seam (5) is formed by a UV-curing adhesive, the composition of which is illustrated in the two tables below:
- the proportion of the other acrylates (hydroxypropyl acrylate, isobornyl acrylate and methacrylate ester) are contained in the finished adhesive mixture with approximately the same proportion. Maintaining this ratio between the other acrylates means that the adhesion of the wire guide rings 3 to the ferrite core halves 1 is particularly good. Even wire guide rings 3 and ferrite core halves 1, between which there are tolerances of up to 500 »m, are to be glued together.
Description
- Figur 1
- zwei Ferritkernhälften in Draufsicht, und
- Figur 2
- eine Ausblickvergrößerung entlang der Schnittkante A - A gemäß Figur 1.
