Wegen des großen Querschnitts dieser "Abschlämm­leitung" sind strahlenförmig vom Zentrum des Dampferzeugerge­häuses ausgehende Trennbleche vorgesehen, die sektorförmige Teilleitungen bilden. Jede der zwölf Teilleitungen ist über ein Ventil an eine gemeinsame Ringleitung angeschlossen. Dadurch soll der Reinigungsvorgang wirtschaftlicher gemacht werden, weil man sich zwischen einem Optimum an Reinigung und einer Ersparnis an Reinigungsflüssigkeit je nach Bedarf entscheiden kann. Voraussetzung dafür ist jedoch ein großer baulicher Aufwand.
