Abstract

First, one or more shortened steam injection pipes are placed inside a horizontal well, wherein the shortened steam injection pipes are provided with an external coupler and an internal sliding sleeve with one or more sets of nozzles placed on the external sleeve. Further, the inner sliding sleeve is moved inside the outer sleeve to overlap at least partially one or more sets of nozzles on the outer sleeve. Finally, the injected fluid is pumped through the nozzles of the shortened steam injection tubes into the formation. Additionally, a method is provided, including landing inside the near-stem section of the horizontal wellbore of the first and second pair of flow control suspensions and polished packer receiving sockets connected to an intermediate casing string cemented in the wellbore.
