Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bilden Katheter oder Sonden, welche grofse Schmiegsamkeit besitzen und sich dauernd in den Leibeshöhlungen halten können, ohne auf irgend eine Art, befestigt werden zu müssen. Die kleinen, unter dem Namen Katheter bekannten Röhren sind weiter nichts als Sonden, welche in die Leibeshöhlungen eingebracht werden, um den Auslafs von Flüssigkeiten, deren Abflufs in normaler Weise nicht vor sich geht, zu ermöglichen. Die bis jetzt gebräuchlichen Sonden oder Katheter aus Gummi und Metall haben den Nachtheil, dafs sie befestigt werden müssen, z. B. wenn sie in die Harnblase eingeführt werden sollen, da sie anderenfalls durch die Zusammenziehung dieses Organs herausgetrieben werden. Die Gröfse der Sonden oder Katheter ist verschieden und richtet sich nach ihrer Gebrauchsbestimmung, so wird z.
