Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet ein Pessar, welches sowohl als Stütz- ssessar Verwendung finden kann, als auch in hervorragender Weise geeignet ist, als Okklusivpessar zu dienen.
Alle bisher bekannten Okklusivpessare leiden an drei Fehlern : dass sie nur von einer anderen sachkundigen Person mit Sicherheit in richtiger Lage eingeführt werden können und infolgedessen gewöhnlich wochenlang liegen bleiben müssen, dass sie nur unmittelbar nach der Einführung richtig liegen, in kürzester Zeit jedoch durch den Druck der Bauchpresse in unwirksame Lage gebracht werden und dass sie, weil die beutelförmige Membran ihre Öffnung der Gebärmutter zuwendet, zur Ansammlung und Zersetzung von Gebärmutter- sekret führen.
Diese Fehler sind bei dem vorliegenden Pessar vermieden, dadurch, dass einem mit einer Gummimembran überzogenen Verschlussring ein geschweifter Bügel hinzugefügt worden ist, der den Frauen das Selbsteinfthren des Pessars in richtiger Lage ermöglicht, indem der Bügel als Stützpunkt für den einführenden Finger dient und sich im hinteren Scheidengewölbe hinter der Gebärmutter einklemmt, wodurch das nachträgliche Kippen des Verschlussringes unmöglich wird.
Die Ansammlung und Zersetzung von Gebärmuttersekret wird in dem beutelförmigen Pessar verhütet, indem die Gummimembran in dem Sinne gespannt ist, dass die Kuppe des Beutels gegen die Gebärmutter, die Öffnung gegen den Scheideneingang zu gerichtet ist.
Es wird ganz besonderer Wert darauf gelegt, dass bei dem vorliegenden Pessar der Bügel, der den ringförmigen Verschlussring zwingt, seine Stellung quer zur Scheibenachse unverrückbar beizubehalten, seinen Ansatz bzw. Ausgangspunkt von der durch seine Lage im Körper der Frau als oberen gekennzeichneten Teil der Fläche des Ringes nimmt, und dass der Bügel seinen Stützpunkt an der hinteren Scheidewand findet.
Zur Veranschaulichung des Erfindungsgegenstandes dient die Zeichnung, und zwar zeigt Fig. 1 das Gestell des Pessars in Ansicht, Fig. 2 das mit einem Überzug versehene Gestell in Ansicht, Fig. 3 einen Schnitt durch Fig. 2 und Fig. 4 die Vorrichtung im Gebrauch. a ist ein federndes Gestell, das aus einem biegsamen Kern b aus geeignetem Material, welcher der Gestalt der inneren weiblichen Genitalien entsprechend geformt und mit einer Masse, wie Gummi oder dgl., überzogen ist, besteht.
Das ganze Gestell wird aus einem Ring c, dessen äusserer Rand sich beim Gebrauch an die Wände der Mutterscheide an- presst, und aus einem Bügel d gebildet, der so hinter den zapfenförmig in die Scheide vorspringenden Teil der Gebärmutter geschoben wird, dass hiedurch die ganze Vorrichtung unverschiebbar in der gewünschten Lage gehalten wird. e ist ein Gummiüberzug, der über das Gestell gestreift und entweder lose oder mit dem Gestell fest verbunden ist. In Fig. 4 ist die Gebärmutter mit I bezeichnet, das Pessar mit Il und die Scheide mit 111.
