When the client requests to enter the target living room, the client may send a living room entry request to the living server, where the living room entry request may include living room information of the target living room and account information of a user account requesting to enter the target living room, where the living room information may be used to indicate the target living room, for example, may be information such as a living room account. The live broadcast server can add the user account into the target live broadcast room based on the live broadcast room entrance request to become the audience terminal in the target live broadcast room, and send the live broadcast data of the target live broadcast room to the audience terminal of the target live broadcast room, so that the audience terminal of the target live broadcast room can display the live broadcast interface of the target live broadcast room based on the live broadcast data. As can be seen from the above, in the embodiment of the present application, by displaying the live broadcast interface of the target live broadcast room, the live broadcast interface includes the live broadcast picture of the anchor account and the online account display area corresponding to the online account, where the online account and the anchor account are in an online state, and the online account display area is used for displaying related information of the online account; responding to a preset live broadcast event, and displaying gift presentation prompt information based on a connecting account display area; and presenting the target gift to the online account in response to a gift-presentation operation for presenting the prompt information to the gift. In this way, through responding to the preset live broadcast event which occurs in the target live broadcast room, the gift presentation prompt information is displayed based on the online account display area, so that the target gift can be presented to the online account in response to the gift presentation operation of the gift presentation prompt information, the live broadcast interaction mode can be enriched, the flow of presenting the gift to the online account in the live broadcast online scene is simplified, and the live broadcast interaction efficiency is further improved.
