Abstract

The invention provides a system and a method for analyzing and diagnosing uplink signal noise based on a cable modem, wherein the system for analyzing and diagnosing the uplink signal noise comprises the following components: an uplink signal transmitting module; an uplink signal control module; and the signal acquisition and analysis module. The method for analyzing and diagnosing the noise of the uplink signal comprises the following steps: an uplink signal sending step; controlling an uplink signal; and signal acquisition and analysis. The invention effectively analyzes and diagnoses whether the uplink signal sent by the main control chip has the noise problem.

Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of signal analysis and diagnosis, and particularly relates to an uplink signal noise analysis and diagnosis system and method based on a cable modem.
Background
For a Cable Modem (CM) based on the docsis protocol, whether an uplink signal is normal or not can bring great influence on normal operation of equipment, normal use of a user and normal management of the equipment by an operator. Since the upstream signal is sent by a device and reaches a Cable Modem Terminal System (CMTS) of an operator through a coaxial Cable, the problem of upstream signal noise may occur before the Cable Modem sends out or in a transmission path, and the current Cable Modem lacks a means for diagnosing the upstream signal noise sent by itself, which makes it difficult to locate the problem generation location of the device where the upstream signal has the noise problem, and brings a great challenge to the operator to solve the problem of upstream signal noise.
Therefore, there is a need to design a system and a method for analyzing and diagnosing noise of an uplink signal based on a cable modem to solve the above existing technical problems.

When the signal acquisition analysis control module receives a state signal of starting noise analysis and diagnosis, the control signal sent to the uplink signal control module by the signal acquisition analysis control module is the first control signal; when the signal acquisition analysis control module receives the state signal of noise analysis diagnosis closing, the control signal sent to the uplink signal control module by the signal acquisition analysis control module is the second control signal.
Therefore, the working process of the whole uplink signal control module is as follows:

Referring to fig. 1, in the present embodiment, the signal acquisition and analysis module includes a Full-Band Capture coordinator (FBCT), and the Full-Band Capture coordinator is configured to receive the uplink test signal sent by the uplink signal control module and perform sampling analysis on the uplink test signal; and the full-band capturing coordinator is also used for sending the sampling analysis result to the signal acquisition analysis control module.
In this embodiment, the signal acquisition analysis control module is further configured to send out control data, wherein,

after the uplink signal control module sends the uplink test signal to the full-band capture coordinator, the full-band capture coordinator performs sampling analysis on the noise of the uplink test signal according to specific acquisition parameters and feeds back a sampling analysis result to the main control chip.
In summary, in this embodiment, for the uplink signal noise analysis and diagnosis system, the uplink signal noise analysis and diagnosis system may work in an active mode and a passive mode, specifically:
in an active mode, the signal acquisition and analysis control module starts a signal acquisition function (namely the signal acquisition and analysis control module sends the first control signal to the uplink signal control module), the full-band capture coordinator always receives an uplink test signal forwarded by the uplink signal control module, full-band scanning sampling analysis of the uplink test signal is carried out on the uplink test signal, a sampling analysis result is fed back to the signal acquisition and analysis control module, the signal acquisition and analysis control module analyzes and compares the sampling analysis result according to the fed-back sampling analysis result, if the problem that the uplink signal corresponding to the uplink test signal has noise interference is found, the found relevant result is sent to the main control chip, and a user and an operator are informed.
In a passive mode, the uplink signal noise analysis and diagnosis subsystem needs to wait for a start command from a user or an operator (the command can enable the main control chip to control the signal acquisition and analysis control module), the signal acquisition and analysis control module starts a signal acquisition function (the signal acquisition and analysis control module can send the first control signal to the uplink signal control module under the control of the main control chip), the full-band capture coordinator can receive an uplink test signal forwarded by the uplink signal control module at the moment and perform sampling analysis on the uplink test signal (control data configured by the main control chip can be sent to the full-band capture coordinator through the signal acquisition and analysis control module, the full-band capture coordinator performs sampling analysis on the uplink test signal according to relevant specific acquisition parameters contained in the control data), and a sampling analysis result is fed back to the signal acquisition and analysis control module, and according to the fed-back sampling analysis result, the signal acquisition analysis control module analyzes and compares the sampling analysis result, and if the problem that the uplink signal corresponding to the uplink test signal has noise interference is found, the found related result is sent to the main control chip and the user and the operator are informed.
