In some embodiments, memory 260 is specifically configured to store drivers for tuner demodulator 210, communicator 220, detector 230, external device interface 240, video processor 270, display 275, audio processor 280, etc., and related data, such as external data (e.g., audio-visual data) received from the external device interface or user data (e.g., key information, voice information, touch information, etc.) received by the user interface.
In some embodiments, memory 260 specifically stores software and/or programs representing an Operating System (OS), which may include, for example: a kernel, middleware, an Application Programming Interface (API), and/or an application program. Illustratively, the kernel may control or manage system resources, as well as functions implemented by other programs (e.g., the middleware, APIs, or applications); at the same time, the kernel may provide an interface to allow middleware, APIs, or applications to access the controller to enable control or management of system resources.
A block diagram of the architectural configuration of the operating system in the memory of the display device 200 is illustrated in fig. 1D. The operating system architecture comprises an application layer, a middleware layer and a kernel layer from top to bottom.
The application layer, the application programs built in the system and the non-system-level application programs belong to the application layer. Is responsible for direct interaction with the user. The application layer may include a plurality of applications such as a setup application, a live application, a media center application, and the like. These application programs may be implemented as Web applications that execute based on a WebKit engine, and in particular may be developed and executed based on HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and JavaScript, typically to control operations or execution for a browser function module in a display device.
Here, HTML, which is called HyperText Markup Language (HyperText Markup Language), is a standard Markup Language for creating web pages, and describes the web pages by Markup tags, where the HTML tags are used to describe characters, graphics, animation, sound, tables, links, etc., and a browser reads an HTML document, interprets the content of the tags in the document, and displays the content in the form of web pages.
CSS, known as Cascading Style Sheets (Cascading Style Sheets), is a computer language used to represent the Style of HTML documents, and may be used to define Style structures, such as fonts, colors, locations, etc. The CSS style can be directly stored in the HTML webpage or a separate style file, so that the style in the webpage can be controlled.
JavaScript, a language applied to Web page programming, can be inserted into an HTML page and interpreted and executed by a browser. The interaction logic of the Web application is realized by JavaScript. The JavaScript can package a JavaScript extension interface through a browser, realize the communication with the kernel layer,
the middleware layer may provide some standardized interfaces to support the operation of various environments and systems. For example, the middleware layer may be implemented as multimedia and hypermedia information coding experts group (MHEG) middleware related to data broadcasting, DLNA middleware which is middleware related to communication with an external device, middleware which provides a browser environment in which each application program in the display device operates, and the like.
The kernel layer provides core system services, such as: file management, memory management, process management, network management, system security authority management and the like. The kernel layer may be implemented as a kernel based on various operating systems, for example, a kernel based on the Linux operating system.
The kernel layer also provides communication between system software and hardware, and provides device driver services for various hardware, such as: provide display driver for the display, provide camera driver for the camera, provide button driver for the remote controller, provide wiFi driver for the WIFI module, provide audio driver for audio output interface, provide power management drive for Power Management (PM) module etc..
A user interface 265 receives various user interactions. Specifically, it is used to transmit an input signal of a user to the controller 250 or transmit an output signal from the controller 250 to the user. For example, the remote controller 100A may transmit an input signal, such as a power switch signal, a channel selection signal, a volume adjustment signal, etc., input by the user to the user interface 265, and then the input signal is transferred to the controller 250 through the user interface 265; alternatively, the remote controller 100A may receive an output signal such as audio, video, or data output from the user interface 265 via the controller 250, and display the received output signal or output the received output signal in audio or vibration form.
In some embodiments, a user may enter user commands on a Graphical User Interface (GUI) displayed on the display 275, and the user interface 265 receives the user input commands through the GUI. Specifically, the user interface 265 may receive user input commands for controlling the position of a selector in the GUI to select different objects or items.
Alternatively, the user may input a user command by inputting a specific sound or gesture, and the user interface 265 receives the user input command by recognizing the sound or gesture through the sensor. The video processor 270 is configured to receive an external video signal, and perform video data processing such as decompression, decoding, scaling, noise reduction, frame rate conversion, resolution conversion, and image synthesis according to a standard codec protocol of the input signal, so as to obtain a video signal that is directly displayed or played on the display 275.
Illustratively, the video processor 270 includes a demultiplexing module, a video decoding module, an image synthesizing module, a frame rate conversion module, a display formatting module, and the like.
The demultiplexing module is configured to demultiplex an input audio/video data stream, where, for example, an input MPEG-2 stream (based on a compression standard of a digital storage media moving image and voice), the demultiplexing module demultiplexes the input audio/video data stream into a video signal and an audio signal.
And the video decoding module is used for processing the video signal after demultiplexing, including decoding, scaling and the like.
And the image synthesis module is used for carrying out superposition mixing processing on the GUI signal input by the user or generated by the user and the video image after the zooming processing by the graphic generator so as to generate an image signal for display.
The frame rate conversion module is configured to convert a frame rate of an input video, for example, convert a frame rate of an input 60Hz video into a frame rate of 120Hz or 240Hz, where a common format is implemented by using, for example, an interpolation frame method.
And a display formatting module for converting the signal output by the frame rate conversion module into a signal conforming to a display format of a display, such as converting the format of the signal output by the frame rate conversion module to output an RGB data signal.
A display 275 for receiving the image signal from the video processor 270 and displaying the video content, the image and the menu manipulation interface. The display video content may be from the video content in the broadcast signal received by the tuner-demodulator 210, or from the video content input by the communicator 220 or the external device interface 240. The display 275, while displaying a user manipulation interface UI generated in the display apparatus 200 and used to control the display apparatus 200.
For example, a user manipulates a selector in the interface UI that displays a plurality of items and indicates that the item is selected.
Items refer to visual objects displayed in respective presentation areas of a GUI in a display apparatus to represent corresponding contents such as icons, thumbnails, video clips, links, etc., which can provide a user with various conventional program contents received through data broadcasting, and various application and service contents set by a content manufacturer.
The presentation forms of items are often diverse. For example, the items may include text content and/or images for displaying thumbnails related to the text content, or video clips related to the text. As another example, the item may be text and/or an icon of an application.
The selector is used to indicate that any item has been selected, such as the object of focus. In one aspect, the items may be selected or controlled by controlling movement of a display focus object in the display apparatus according to an input of a user through the control device. On the other hand, the movement of items displayed in the display apparatus may be controlled according to the user's input through the control means to cause the focus object to select or control the items.
The form of identification of the selector is often diversified. For example, the position of the focus object may be implemented or identified by enlarging the item, by setting a background color of the item, or by changing a border line, size, color, transparency, outline, and/or font of the text or image of the focused item.
And, the display 275 may include a display screen assembly for presenting a picture and a driving assembly for driving the display of an image. Alternatively, a projection device and projection screen may be included, provided display 275 is a projection display.
The audio processor 280 is configured to receive an external audio signal, decompress and decode the received audio signal according to a standard codec protocol of the input signal, and perform audio data processing such as noise reduction, digital-to-analog conversion, and amplification processing to obtain an audio signal that can be played by the speaker 286.
Illustratively, audio processor 280 may support various audio formats. Such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4, Advanced Audio Coding (AAC), high efficiency AAC (HE-AAC), and the like.
The audio output interface 285 is used for receiving an audio signal output by the audio processor 280 under the control of the controller 250, and the audio output interface 285 may include a speaker 286 or an external sound output terminal 287, such as an earphone output terminal, for outputting to a generating device of an external device.
In other exemplary embodiments, video processor 270 may comprise one or more chips. Audio processor 280 may also comprise one or more chips.
And, in other exemplary embodiments, the video processor 270 and the audio processor 280 may be separate chips or may be integrated with the controller 250 in one or more chips.
And a power supply 290 for supplying power supply support to the display apparatus 200 from the power input from the external power source under the control of the controller 250. The power supply 290 may be a built-in power supply circuit installed inside the display apparatus 200 or may be a power supply installed outside the display apparatus 200.
In some embodiments, when a television program is watched in a live application, generally, one television program carries one path of video data, multiple paths of audio data in different languages, and multiple paths of subtitle data in different languages, so that the audio data in which language of the television program is played and the subtitle data in which language of the television program is displayed can be more suitable for the user's desire, and the user is prevented from manually switching the audio language and the subtitle language.
Generally, when a user purchases a display device (taking an intelligent electronic card as an example), the display device is started for the first time to operate, and the user is prompted to perform initial setting, that is, the user performs initial setting on the display device according to the user's own requirements, including menu language setting, country setting and the like, which means that the user subsequently provides functions for the display device, and when the language determination is inconsistent with the initial setting, the user operation is not facilitated.
For example, the menu language setting interface is shown in fig. 2A, and the interface is one of the initial setting interfaces after the display device is turned on, and the interface is used for setting the menu language. Wherein the interface displays a plurality of Language options in the menu, such as Language 1, Language 2, Language 3, Language 4, etc., each Language representing a Language, such as english, french, german, simplified chinese, etc. The user can select the menu Language through the remote controller, and the selected Language (such as Language 1) is used as the menu Language of the display device.
In general, a menu language set by a user is often a native language of the user, and since many countries such as europe have emerging markets and many native languages, there are many options in menu language options, for example, up to several tens of options. In order to shorten the search time of the user, the present invention may further divide each country into regions according to the geographic location, for example, the countries around the world are divided into a plurality of regions, and different regions correspond to different language lists, and taking an emerging market as an example, the specific division method may be as shown in table 1.

Each region in table 1 includes a plurality of countries, and different regions include different countries, and thus different regions correspond to different languages. The region is usually set according to the sales condition when the region is shipped from the factory, so that the user does not need to select the region, and the display device automatically displays the country and language corresponding to the region according to the region set by the factory. Assuming that a CIS (independent country complex) in the above-mentioned region is selected in the menu at the time of factory shipment, a menu language corresponding to the region is as shown in table 2.

Since the menu language list covers almost all the languages of each country in a region, the language spoken in each region can be covered as long as the subsequent other language list is consistent with the menu language list, and thus the menu language list can be applied to users of each country in the region.
Through the region division, some languages corresponding to the region where the user is located can be displayed in a targeted manner instead of all languages when the language list is displayed for the user, so that the searching process of the user can be reduced, and the efficiency of selecting the language by the user is improved.
The country setting interface is shown in fig. 2B, and is one of the initial setting interfaces after the display device is turned on, and the interface is used for setting a country. Where the interface displays a plurality of Country options, such as Country 1, Country 2, Country 3, Country 4, etc., each representing a Country, such as china, france, germany, uk, etc. The user can select the country through the remote controller, and the selected country (such as China) is set as the country of the user.
The country setting and the menu language setting are not in sequence.
After the above-mentioned a series of initial setting operations including menu language, country setting, etc. are completed, the initial setting information may be further stored in the non-volatile memory of the display device, so that corresponding playing configuration may be performed based on the initial setting information of the user during the use of the display device.
In some embodiments, a display device is provided that is capable of automatically keeping a menu language in which the display device is configured in an initial setting consistent with a play language at the time of program play to meet user expectations and avoid unnecessary manual switching.

The broadcast language of the broadcast program includes a broadcast language of audio data corresponding to the broadcast program and a display language of subtitle data.
In an example, the controller further includes a program language extracting module, which is configured to extract, when a broadcast program is played, one path of audio data corresponding to a language that is the same as the playing language determined by the language association module from multiple paths of audio data in different languages carried by the broadcast program, so as to play the broadcast program.
It can be seen from this embodiment that, by binding the initially set menu language with the playing language of the program, when the broadcast program is played, the audio data corresponding to the broadcast program is used to play the program using the audio data that is the same as the menu language, and since the menu language is usually selected by the user based on the native language, the menu language is often the most desirable playing language for the user. Therefore, the user can not only quickly select the language desired by the user to play the program, but also avoid unnecessary manual switching in each channel.
In some embodiments, a display device is provided, which can automatically associate a menu language configured in an initial setting with a preferred language set by a user to indicate a program playing language determined, so that the playing language at the time of playing the program is played based on the preferred language.

Since the user usually selects a language (e.g., native language) desired by the user as the menu language, and the desired playing language should be the same as the menu language, the program language setting module of this embodiment can associate the menu language set by the user with the preferred language when the indicated program playing language is determined, so that when the broadcast program is played, the playing language consistent with the preferred language when the indicated program playing language is determined can be selected first to play, and the user's desire is met.
The preferred languages include a first preferred language and a second preferred language; the first preferred language is configured to be the same as the selected menu language and the second preferred language is configured to be a language other than the selected menu language.
Based on the development of network technology, users can often view video resources from multiple countries, and because the languages corresponding to the video resources of different countries are different, the audio data language corresponding to the broadcast program viewed by the users may not include a menu language (i.e. the first preferred language). Therefore, the display device is usually preset with a second preferred language with stronger universality when the display device is shipped from the factory. Since English is common in countries such as Europe, the second preferred language may default to English. For example, when the user sets the menu language to "simplified chinese", the first preferred language of the broadcast program is also linked to "simplified chinese", and the second preferred language is "english".
For example, when a broadcast program is played in a live application, the display based on the user input is used to instruct the input of a broadcast program playing control menu, for example, a menu key on a remote controller is pressed, and as shown in fig. 3A, the program language setting interface is displayed. Wherein the program language setting interface may be displayed on one side of the current playing interface, wherein the interface may include but is not limited to: preferred audio tracks, alternative audio tracks, preferred subtitles, alternative subtitles, and digital teletext language, decoding language, etc.
The preferred audio track and the preferred subtitle in this embodiment may both correspond to the first preferred language, or may be set separately; the alternative audio track and the alternative subtitle both correspond to the second preferred language and can be set separately. Assuming that the menu language set by the user is german, the first preferred language is the same as the menu language, i.e., german, and the default second preferred language is english, the preferred audio track and the preferred subtitle shown in fig. 3A are both displayed in german, and the alternative audio track and the alternative subtitle are both displayed in english.
When the user selects a language option (e.g., preferred audio track) to be adjusted by controlling the selector through the remote controller, the corresponding language setting interface can be entered. The language setting interface is exemplarily shown in fig. 3B, wherein the program language setting interface is displayed as a language list of preferred tracks, which includes a plurality of languages corresponding to the region where the user is located, such as English (English), French (French), Spanish (Spanish), Portuguese (Portuguese), Arabic (Arabic), Russian (Russian), simplified Chinese (simplified Chinese), and the like. The user may control the selector via the remote control to select a desired language as the language of the preferred audio track, e.g. if the user selects english as the first language for the preferred audio track, the subsequent preferred audio track (i.e. the first preferred language) is changed from german to english.
Similarly, the preferred subtitles, and the alternate soundtrack and alternate subtitles may all be switched in the language setting in the manner described above. The program language setting module can enable a user to select the first preferred language and the second preferred language according to the user's desire, so that the setting of the preferred language is more flexible and more in line with the user's desire.
In some embodiments, there is provided a further display device capable of setting a preferred language indicating a time when a program broadcast language is determined and automatically setting the preferred language as a broadcast language of a broadcast program.

and the program language setting module is used for selecting and maintaining the program setting information of the preferred language for playing the broadcast program. The setting process of the preferred language may refer to fig. 3A and 3B, and unlike the second embodiment, the first preferred language may be any preferred language set by the user, and may not default to the menu language set by the user.
And the program language extraction module is used for automatically extracting one path of audio data corresponding to the language which is the same as the preferred language indicated in the program setting information from the multiple paths of audio data of different languages of the broadcast program so as to play the broadcast program.
In this embodiment, the preferred languages include a first preferred language and a second preferred language, and the priority of the first preferred language is higher than the priority of the second preferred language. Therefore, when the program language extraction module extracts a path of audio data corresponding to a language which is the same as the preferred language indicated in the program setting information, the specific process is as follows: when the multi-channel audio data of different languages of the broadcast program comprises the first preferred language, extracting one channel of audio data corresponding to the language same as the first preferred language; and when the multi-path audio data of different languages of the broadcast program does not comprise the first preferred language but comprises the second preferred language, extracting one path of audio data corresponding to the language same as the second preferred language.
When the program language determination module determines that the multiple language languages corresponding to the audio data of the broadcast program do not include the first preferred language (for example, the native language of the user), it may be further determined whether the language list includes a preset second language, so that the second language is used as the first playing language to play the audio content of the first video.
In this embodiment, the user can autonomously set the first preferred language and the second preferred language, so that the user's desire can be satisfied no matter the first preferred language or the second preferred language is played, and the viewing experience of the user is ensured.
In an embodiment, when the language corresponding to the audio data of the broadcast program does not include the preferred language, the audio data corresponding to a first channel of language in the multi-channel audio data of the current broadcast program may be played by default, and usually the audio data corresponding to the first channel of language is the audio data with the highest priority, and the priority ranking may be performed according to a PID number of a code stream.
Assuming that the audio data of the broadcast program can be sorted into { lan1, lan2, lan3, …, lan } by PID number in the code stream, if the first preferred language set by the user is lan1 and the second preferred language is lan2, where the first preferred language may be a menu language or another language set by the user, the selection flow of the playing language of the broadcast program is shown in fig. 4, which includes steps 401 to 406:
step 401, setting a first preferred language to be lan1 and setting a second preferred language to be lan2 by a user;
step 402, when broadcasting the broadcast program, judging whether the language list of the broadcast program contains a first preferred language lan1, if yes, turning to step 403, and if not, turning to step 404;
step 403, the broadcast program plays the audio data of the first preferred language lan 1;
step 404, judging whether the language list of the broadcast program contains a second preferred language lan2, if so, turning to step 405, and if not, turning to step 406;
step 405, the broadcast program playing audio data in the second preferred language lan 2;
step 406, the broadcast program plays the audio data in the sorted first language.
If the user changes the first preferred language to lan m and lan m is not in the list of { lan1, lan2, lan3, …, lan }, the broadcast program plays the second preferred language lan2 by default; thereafter the user modifies the second preferred language to lani, and lani is also not in the { lan1, lan2, lan3, …, lan } list, then the broadcast program plays lan1 by default in PID order. This rule works in the following cases: cutting a platform, plugging and unplugging a signal wire, cutting a channel, switching on and off, and the like.
For example, assume that the caption languages (e.g., eng, msa, zhou, and tam) corresponding to the current broadcast program TV1_ SD are sorted according to their PIDs, and the caption language lists are eng (PID: 0x 64), msa (PID: 0x 65), zho (PID: 0x 66), and tam (PID: 0x 67). If the first preferred language is msa, program TV1_ SD may play msa by default; if the first preferred language is not in the list, but the second preferred language tam is in the list, the program TV1_ SD may play tam by default; if neither the first preferred language nor the second preferred language is in the { eng, msa, zhoo, tam } list, then program TV1_ SD plays by default the highest priority (PID ordered first) eng. If the user does not want to see the caption corresponding to the eng, a certain path of msa, zhou and tam in the list can be selected temporarily for playing. The first preferred language and the second preferred language are set to be always effective under the conditions of channel switching, signal line plugging, channel switching, power on and power off and the like, and the temporarily selected language is only effective in the current channel and is ineffective after channel switching or power off.
In some embodiments, since the digital television standard in europe and other countries uses the DVB system, in order to reduce the development cost, these countries generally use the same television software. Countries and languages in europe are numerous, and even if the same program corresponds to a plurality of languages, for example, germany digital television programs may correspond to languages including german, english, and even dutch. In the existing playing process, a user needs to reset a playing language every time the user switches a channel, so that unnecessary setting operation is caused to the user, and the user operation experience is poor.
Aiming at the situation that the programs contain more playing languages, the method for selecting the program languages provided by the invention can be used for setting the overall effective expected language, so that the expected language of the current channel can be matched no matter which channel the display equipment is switched to, or the operation of switching on and off and the like is carried out, the user is not required to reset the playing language when switching the channel every time, and the setting process of the user is reduced.
Since the language lists contained in the programs via the channels are nearly identical in the same region, it is likely that a user setting a partial language of a certain channel is also desirable in another channel. Therefore, the user can record the self-expected playing language set by the user by setting a desired language, and if the language list of the new channel contains the desired language after switching channels, powering on and off and the like, the corresponding language is preferentially played. Therefore, the method and the device can acquire the expected language set by the user during the playing of the program and take the expected language as the primary basis for the selection of the subsequent language, thereby avoiding unnecessary setting operation of the user and improving the watching experience of the user.
In some embodiments, a display device is provided, which can set a desired language for indicating the playing of a program based on a user input, and automatically set the desired language as the playing language of a broadcast program after switching channels, so that the user can avoid resetting the playing language of the program after switching channels.

and the expected language setting module is used for responding to an expected language setting instruction input by a user and selecting and maintaining program setting information corresponding to an expected language when the first broadcast program is played by adopting audio or subtitle data of one path of language in the audio data of the first broadcast program. Here, the first broadcast program may be played in any audio or subtitle language carried by the first broadcast program, such as the preferred language when the first broadcast program is in accordance with the menu language or determined by the user's own language for playing the first broadcast program.
And the language selection module is used for responding to a switching instruction which is input by a user and used for switching from a first broadcast program to a second broadcast program, and selecting the language which is the same as the expected language as the playing language of the second broadcast program. The playing language includes a playing language of audio data corresponding to the broadcast program and a display language of subtitle data.
For example, fig. 5A to 5F exemplarily show a setting flow of a desired language.
When a broadcast program is played in the live application, for example, the broadcast program is played in the same language as the preferred language, and the display based on the user input is used to instruct the input of the broadcast program play control menu, for example, a menu key on a remote controller is pressed, as shown in fig. 5A, a play control menu interface is displayed. These include various setting options such as Picture (Picture), Sound (Sound), channel (Channels), Parental lock Control (Parental Control), Teletext (text), Subtitle (Subtitle), EPG (electronic program guide), Audio Language (Audio Language), and so on. In the embodiment, only the setting of the subtitle and audio languages is focused, and other setting items are not the improvement focus of the invention and are not detailed here.
The audio language and caption language of the currently broadcast program are typically agreed by default with the preferred language (e.g., the preferred language is automatically determined at the time of menu language determination, or set by the user at his or her discretion). As shown in fig. 5A, the caption language is Dutch (Dutch), and the audio language is Dutch (Dutch). The user can modify the broadcast language of the broadcast program by setting a desired language in the play control menu interface.
For example, as shown in fig. 5B, when the user moves the focus to a Subtitle (Subtitle) column, the user can control the display device to enter a desired language setting interface of the Subtitle language by clicking a remote controller confirmation button.
The desired language setting interface of the subtitle language is shown in fig. 5C, in which a list of languages is displayed, including a desired language closing option (Off), and selectable multiple languages, such as German (German), Dutch (Dutch), and English (English); the user can select a desired language such as German (German), and return to the play control menu interface after the user determines the desired language.
As shown in fig. 5D, at this time, the caption language in the menu interface is displayed as the desired language (German) set by the user, and the audio language is also before (Dutch); and then when the user can move the focus to a field of Audio Language (Audio Language), clicking a confirmation button of the remote controller to control a desired Language setting interface of the Audio Language of the display device.
The desired language setting interface for audio languages is shown in fig. 5E, in which a list of languages is displayed, including a desired language closing option (Off), and optionally a plurality of languages, such as German (German), Dutch (Dutch), and English (English); the user can select a desired language such as German (German), and return to the play control menu interface after the user determines the desired language.
It should be noted that the selectable multiple languages displayed in the interface for setting the desired language of the subtitle language and the interface for setting the desired language of the audio language are audio data and subtitle data in different languages carried in the current broadcast program. For example, if the first broadcast program carries audio data in german and dutch languages, then the desired language setting interface for the subtitle or audio language displays the german and dutch options; and the second broadcast program carries audio data of English and Dutch, and English and Dutch options are displayed in a desired language setting interface of the subtitle or audio language.
As shown in fig. 5F, at this time, the subtitle language in the play control menu interface is displayed as the desired language (German) set by the user, and the audio language is also the desired language (German) set by the user.
In one example, the language selection module is further configured to select the language with the same preferred language as the playing language of the second broadcast program when it is determined that the audio/subtitle data of the second broadcast program does not include audio/subtitle data corresponding to the language with the same desired language.
In one example, the preferred languages include a first preferred language and a second preferred language, the first preferred language having a higher priority than the second preferred language.
In one example, the language selection module selects a language identical to the preferred language as the broadcast language of the second broadcast program, and specifically includes: when the audio data of the second broadcast program comprises the audio data corresponding to the first preferred language, selecting the language same as the first preferred language as the playing language of the second broadcast program; and when the audio data of the second broadcast program does not include the audio data corresponding to the first preferred language but includes the audio data corresponding to the second preferred language, selecting the same language as the second preferred language as the playing language of the second broadcast program.
Because the audio data corresponding to the multiple languages of the broadcast program can be played according to the priority sequence, the priority sequence of the audio data of different languages can be changed after the user selects the playing language of the broadcast program through the expected language and the preferred language.
Specifically, when the language selection module selects the same language as the desired language as the play language of the second broadcast program, the priority of audio data corresponding to the desired language among audio data of the second broadcast program may be changed to the highest priority to control the display and the speaker to play the second broadcast program based on one path of audio data of the highest priority.
In some embodiments, another display device is provided, which can set a desired language for indicating the playing of a program based on a user input, and automatically set the desired language as the playing language of a first broadcast program after power-on after power-off and power-on again, so as to avoid language resetting after power-on of a user.
Specifically, some components in the display device may specifically perform the following operations:

and the expected language setting module is used for responding to an expected language setting instruction input by a user and selecting and maintaining program setting information corresponding to an expected language when the first broadcast program is played by adopting audio or subtitle data of the language in the audio data of the first broadcast program. Here, the first broadcast program may be played in any audio or subtitle language carried by the first broadcast program, such as the preferred language when the first broadcast program is in accordance with the menu language or determined by the user's own language for playing the first broadcast program.
And the language selection module is used for responding to a display equipment starting instruction triggered by a user after the display equipment is turned off, and selecting the language same as the expected language as the playing language of the first broadcast program after the display equipment is turned on. The display device may directly display the broadcast program after being turned on, or may enter the navigation homepage interface after being turned on, and then enter the broadcast program after being triggered by the user.
In one example, the desired language setting module is further configured to store the desired language in a designated space of a non-volatile memory of the display device; the language selection module is further configured to acquire the desired language from the designated space of the nonvolatile memory when responding to a display device power-on instruction triggered by a user after the display device is powered off.
Because the nonvolatile memory can not empty the content of the memory after being shut down, the relevant information of the expected language can be continuously reserved after being shut down and restarted, and the relevant information can be used as a basis for selecting the playing language of the first broadcast program after being started.
Because the audio data corresponding to the multiple languages of the broadcast program can be played according to the priority sequence, when the user selects the playing language of the broadcast program through the expected language and the preferred language, the priority sequence of the audio data of different languages can be changed. Specifically, when the language selection module selects the same language as the desired language as the playing language of the first broadcast program after the power-on, the priority of the audio data corresponding to the desired language in the audio data of the first broadcast program may be changed to the highest priority, so as to control the display and the speaker to play the first broadcast program based on one path of audio data with the highest priority.
In one example, the controller may prioritize the audio data according to PID numbers of streams of the audio data of the broadcast program. The language list of the current broadcast program is sorted by PID numbers in the code stream into { lan1, lan2, lan3, …, lan }, if the first preferred language set by the user is lan1, the second preferred language is lan2, no desired language is set, and the flow of selecting a specific program language is shown in fig. 6, which includes steps 601-605:
601, selecting a first preferred language lan1 as a playing language of a first broadcast program by adopting a specified strategy;
step 602, setting a desired language lan3 when playing the first broadcast program using the audio data corresponding to the first preferred language lan 1;
step 603, when switching to a second broadcast program or powering on to enter the second broadcast program after powering off, determining whether the language list of the second broadcast program includes the expected language lan3, if yes, turning to step 604, and if not, turning to step 605;
step 604, the second broadcast program plays the audio data in the desired language lan 3;
step 605, the second broadcast program is played, and a playing language matched with the specified policy is selected based on the preferred language.
The specific selection process of the specified policy in step 605 may refer to the processing flow shown in fig. 4, which is not described herein again.
If the user changes the desired language to lang, because the desired language lang is not in the list of { lan1, lan2, lan3, …, lan }, the broadcast program plays a preferred language matching the specified policy, for example, the first preferred language lan 1; if the user modifies the first preferred language to lan again, since the desired language lanj and the first preferred language lan are not in the list of { lan1, lan2, lan3, …, lan }, then the broadcast program plays the second preferred language lan2 that matches the specified policy; thereafter the user modifies the second preferred language to lani, and lani is also not in the list of lan1, lan2, lan3, …, lan, then the broadcast program plays by default the top-ranked language lan1 in the PID order. This rule works in the following cases: cutting a platform, plugging and unplugging a signal wire, cutting a channel, switching on and off, and the like.
For example, assume that the caption languages (e.g., eng, msa, zhou, and tam) corresponding to the current first broadcast program are sorted according to their PIDs, and the caption language lists are eng (PID: 0x 64), msa (PID: 0x 65), zho (PID: 0x 66), and tam (PID: 0x 67). If the first preferred language is msa, the first broadcast program can select msa as a playing language; if the user sets the desired language to zho while playing the first broadcast program, the default playing language is zho if the desired language zho is in the language list while continuing to play the first broadcast program or playing the second broadcast program after switching channels or after powering off and on again. If the desired language is not in the list, the matching of the first preferred language or the second preferred language may continue according to a specified policy, and if neither the first preferred language nor the second preferred language is in the { eng, msa, zhoo, tam } list, then the second broadcast program plays the language eng with the highest priority (PID-ordered first). The settings of the desired language, the first preferred language, and the second preferred language are always valid in the case of cutting a station, plugging a signal line, cutting a channel, turning on and off a machine, and the like.
In the above embodiment, the display device may obtain the desired language set by the user through the desired language setting module, and when a channel is switched or the display device is turned off and then turned on to enter other broadcast programs, the desired language may be first matched as the broadcast language, so that the language setting operation after channel change or power on/off of fewer users is avoided, and the user experience is improved.
For a specific embodiment of the method for selecting a playback language on the display device, reference may be made to the above-mentioned embodiment processed by each module in the display device, and details are not described here again.
While preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described, additional variations and modifications in those embodiments may occur to those skilled in the art once they learn of the basic inventive concepts. Therefore, it is intended that the appended claims be interpreted as including preferred embodiments and all such alterations and modifications as fall within the scope of the invention.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made in the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Thus, if such modifications and variations of the present invention fall within the scope of the claims of the present invention and their equivalents, the present invention is also intended to include such modifications and variations.

Claims (20)

1. A display device, comprising:
a tuning demodulator for receiving and decoding a broadcast program carried by a digital broadcast signal;
a controller coupled to the tuning demodulator, the controller comprising:
the system comprises an initial setting module, a language setting module and a language setting module, wherein the initial setting module is used for maintaining initial setting information comprising language setting, and the language setting comprises a specified menu language;
the menu control module is used for selecting a menu language specified by the language setting from a plurality of languages according to the language setting to control a display menu;
a preferred language setting module configured to select and maintain first setting information of a preferred language for playing a broadcast program; the preferred language is automatically determined upon determining the menu language;
a program language determination module configured to determine a broadcast language of the broadcast program in a language identical to the preferred language indicated in the first setting information.
2. The display device according to claim 1, wherein the broadcast language of the broadcast program includes a broadcast language of audio data corresponding to the broadcast program, a display language of subtitle data.
3. A method for determining a programming language in a display device, comprising:
maintaining initial setting information including language setting including a designated menu language;
selecting a menu language specified by the language setting from a plurality of languages according to the language setting to control a display menu;
selecting and maintaining first setting information of a preferred language for playing a broadcast program; the preferred language is automatically determined upon determining the menu language;
receiving and decoding a broadcast program carried by a digital broadcast signal, and determining a broadcast language of the broadcast program in the same language as a preferred language indicated in the first setting information.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein the broadcast language of the broadcast program comprises a broadcast language of audio data corresponding to the broadcast program and a display language of subtitle data.
5. A display device, comprising:
a tuner configured to receive a digital broadcast signal;
a decoder configured to decode a broadcast program carried by a digital broadcast signal;
a user interface configured to receive a user input;
the expected language setting module is configured to select one path of audio or subtitle language from multiple paths of audio or subtitle languages carried by the first broadcast program based on user input in the process of playing the first broadcast program, and the path of audio or subtitle language is used as second setting information of the expected language for playing the broadcast program;
a program language determination module configured to determine an audio or subtitle language for playing the second broadcast program in the same language as the desired language indicated in the second setting information when switching from the first broadcast program to the second broadcast program.
6. The display device according to claim 5, wherein the first broadcast program and the second broadcast program belong to two channels, respectively.
7. A method for determining a programming language in a display device, comprising:
receiving and decoding a broadcast program carried by a digital broadcast signal;
in the process of playing a first broadcast program, based on user input, selecting one path of audio or caption language from multiple paths of audio or caption languages carried by the first broadcast program, and using the one path of audio or caption language as second setting information of a desired language for playing the broadcast program;
when switching from the first broadcast program to the second broadcast program, an audio or caption language for playing the second broadcast program is determined in the same language as the desired language indicated in the second setting information.
8. The method of claim 7, wherein the first broadcast program and the second broadcast program belong to two channels, respectively.
9. A display device, comprising:
a display;
a tuner demodulator configured to receive and decode a broadcast program carried by a digital broadcast signal;
a user interface configured to receive a user input;
the power management module is used for at least controlling the power failure or power supply of the display so as to enable the display equipment to be in a power-off state or a power-on state;
a controller configured to;
in the process of playing the first broadcast program, responding to user input, selecting one path of audio or caption language from multiple paths of audio languages carried by the first broadcast program to play, and using the path of audio or caption language as second setting information of an expected language for playing the broadcast program;
after the second setting information is set, responding to the input of a user, and controlling the power supply management module to enable the display equipment to enter a power-off state from a power-on state;
responding to the input of the user again, and controlling the power supply management module to enable the display equipment to enter a power-on state from a power-off state; and displaying caption data carried by the broadcast program to be played and/or outputting audio data carried by the broadcast program to be played in the same language as the desired language indicated in the second setting information.
10. The display device according to claim 9, wherein the broadcast program to be played is a first broadcast program or another broadcast program.
11. A method for determining a programming language in a display device, comprising:
receiving and decoding a broadcast program carried by a digital broadcast signal;
in the process of playing the first broadcast program, responding to user input, selecting one path of audio or caption language from multiple paths of audio languages carried by the first broadcast program to play, and using the path of audio or caption language as second setting information of an expected language for playing the broadcast program;
after the second setting information is set, responding to the input of a user, and controlling the display equipment to enter a power-off state from a power-on state;
responding to the input of the user again, and controlling the display equipment to enter a power-on state from a power-off state; and displaying caption data carried by the broadcast program to be played and/or outputting audio data carried by the broadcast program to be played in the same language as the desired language indicated in the second setting information.
12. The method of claim 11, wherein the broadcast program to be played is a first broadcast program or another broadcast program.
13. A display device, comprising:
a tuner demodulator configured to receive and decode a broadcast program carried by a digital broadcast signal;
a controller coupled to the tuner, the controller comprising:
a menu control module configured to control a display menu according to a language type set in a language setting;
a preferred language setting module configured to select and maintain first setting information of a preferred language for playing a broadcast program; the preferred language is automatically determined upon determining the menu language, or a language is selected from a plurality of languages based on user input;
the expected language setting module is configured to select one path of audio or subtitle language from multiple paths of audio or subtitle languages carried by the first broadcast program based on user input in the process of playing the first broadcast program, and the path of audio or subtitle language is used as second setting information of the expected language for playing the broadcast program;
a program language determination module configured to:
when the first broadcast program is switched to the second broadcast program, when the fact that the expected language indicated in the second setting information is not included in the multi-channel audio or subtitle data of different languages carried by the second broadcast program is determined, the playing language of the second broadcast program is determined according to the language identical to the preferred language indicated in the first setting information.
14. The display device according to claim 1, wherein the broadcast language of the broadcast program includes a broadcast language of audio data corresponding to the broadcast program, a display language of subtitle data.
15. A method for determining a programming language in a display device, comprising:
controlling a display menu according to a language type set in the language setting;
selecting and maintaining first setting information of a preferred language for playing a broadcast program; the preferred language is automatically determined upon determining the menu language, or a language is selected from a plurality of languages based on user input;
in the process of playing a first broadcast program, based on user input, selecting one path of audio or caption language from multiple paths of audio or caption languages carried by the first broadcast program, and using the one path of audio or caption language as second setting information of a desired language for playing the broadcast program;
when the first broadcast program is switched to the second broadcast program, when the fact that the expected language indicated in the second setting information is not included in the multi-channel audio or subtitle data of different languages carried by the second broadcast program is determined, the playing language of the second broadcast program is determined according to the language identical to the preferred language indicated in the first setting information.
16. The method of claim 15, wherein the broadcast language of the broadcast program comprises a broadcast language of audio data corresponding to the broadcast program and a display language of subtitle data.
17. A display device, comprising:
a tuner configured to receive and decode a broadcast program carried by a digital broadcast signal;
a user interface configured to receive a user input;
a menu control module configured to control a display menu according to a language type set in a language setting;
a preferred language setting module configured to select and maintain first setting information of a preferred language for playing a broadcast program; the preferred language is automatically determined upon determining the menu language, or a language is selected from a plurality of languages based on user input;
the expected language setting module is configured to select one path of audio or subtitle language from multiple paths of audio or subtitle languages carried by the first broadcast program based on user input in the process of playing the first broadcast program, and the path of audio or subtitle language is used as second setting information of the expected language for playing the broadcast program;
a program language determination module configured to:
and when determining to execute the shutdown operation and execute the startup operation again, and when determining that the expected language indicated in the second setting information is not included in the multi-channel audio or subtitle data in different languages carried by the broadcast program to be played, determining the playing language of the broadcast program to be played in the same language as the preferred language indicated in the first setting information.

19. A method for determining a programming language in a display device, comprising:
controlling a display menu according to a language type set in the language setting;
selecting and maintaining first setting information of a preferred language for playing a broadcast program; the preferred language is automatically determined upon determining the menu language, or a language is selected from a plurality of languages based on user input;
in the process of playing a first channel program, based on user input, selecting one path of audio or caption language from multiple paths of audio or caption languages carried by the first broadcast program, and using the one path of audio or caption language as second setting information of a desired language for playing the broadcast program;
and when determining to execute the shutdown operation and execute the startup operation again, and when determining that the expected language indicated in the second setting information is not included in the multi-channel audio or subtitle data in different languages carried by the broadcast program to be played, determining the playing language of the broadcast program to be played in the same language as the preferred language indicated in the first setting information.
20. The method of claim 19, wherein the broadcast language of the broadcast program comprises a broadcast language of audio data corresponding to the broadcast program and a display language of subtitle data.
