Description

The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.

To this end, in the jewel which it concerns, of the type comprising a rod passing through a hole made in the ear lobe and carrying, at its free end, a jewel coming to be applied against the lobe, the rod passing through and supports a part which, pressed against the posterior face of the ear lobe, has a lower part facing outwards, in the shape of an arc, emphasizing the edge of the ear lobe and wearing jewelry.

The jewelry worn by the arc-shaped part of this piece can be made up of diamonds, stones or pearls, and can be identical to, or different from, the jewel mounted at the end of the rod and coming to bear against the lobe of the ear.

This ear jewel has a very pleasant appearance because, visually, there is complete independence between the jewel placed on the ear lobe and the jewels underlining it, the means of fixing the latter being completely invisible.

In addition to the decorative and dressed aspect of this complex jewel, it should be noted that this solution allows to have two jewels in one, since there is the possibility of wearing either the only jewel integral with the stem, which is placed on the lobe, that is, in combination, the jewel placed on the lobe and the jewels emphasizing the lower base of the lobe, when you want a more complete and more dressed jewel.

Advantageously, the part of the part carrying the jewelry emphasizing the ear lobe is in the form of an oblong plate in which are formed a plurality of holes each of which is the diameter of the rod.

The choice of the hole to be crossed by the rod allows the height and inclination of the arch to be adjusted, depending on the shape of the ear lobe to be fitted, so that the arch bearing the jewels is naturally positioned by gravity, bordering the area to be decorated,

whatever the inclination of the latter.

The various holes in the oblong plate carrying the arc can be closed with a material such as a film of synthetic material.

When the jewel is first put in place, the jeweler determines which hole is best suited for the jewel to position itself as best as possible, and only drills this hole. The fact that the other holes remain closed facilitates the subsequent fitting of the jewel by the same person wearing it.

In order to allow easier positioning and removal of the plate carrying the jewel support arch, the two vertical edges of the latter have transverse ridges.

The piece supporting the jewelry emphasizing the ear lobe may have a general S-shaped profile, the end of one branch of which carries the jewelry support arch and the other branch of which is pressed against the posterior face of the ear lobe.

This shape is advantageous because the jewelry support plate perfectly matches the ear lobe, and also because it occurs, after the plate has passed through the rod, but before the bolt is put in place, self-wedging of the plate relative to the rod, which avoids losing the jewel.

Anyway, the invention will be clearly understood with the aid of the description which follows with reference to the appended schematic drawing representing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of this ear jewel:

fig. 1 is a side view of this piece of jewelry mounted on one ear;

fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view on an enlarged scale, along line 2-2 of FIG. 1;

fig. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the various constituent elements of this jewel;

fig. 4 to 7 are four very schematic views showing the positioning of this jewel on ear lobes of different shapes.

The jewel shown in the drawing comprises a rod (2) at one end of which is mounted a jewel (3) consisting of a pearl. The other end of the rod (2) is intended to cooperate, after crossing a hole (4) formed in the lobe (5) of an ear, with an element (6) in the form of a lock, located on the side of the posterior side of the lobe.

This jewel also comprises a part (7) constituted by a plate (8) of oblong shape, carrying, at its lower end and turned towards the outside, an arc (9) on which are mounted four diamonds (10). In the plate (8) are provided a number of holes (12), each the diameter of the rod (2). The rod (2) is intended to pass through one of the holes (12) the plate (8), before engagement of its free end in the latch (6). As shown in particular in FIG. 2, the part (7) has an S-shaped profile, the end of one branch of which is equipped with the arch (9), and the other branch of which has a hanger corresponding to that of the rear face of the ear lobe (5).

The two lateral edges of the plate (8) are provided with ridges (13) facilitating its gripping.

The plurality of holes (12) is justified so as to allow the adaptation of a standard type of jewelry to ears of different shapes. Indeed, it is important that the part (7) is automatically potionized under the effect of gravity while perfectly emphasizing the lobe of the wearer's ear, so that the fixing means remain invisible.

Figs. 4 to 7 correspond to the mounting of this jewel on four ears of different shapes. In the case of figs. 4 and 5, where they are relatively short ear lobes, the arch (9) carrying the diamonds

(10) should be tilted slightly backwards. Therefore, the rod (2) passes through a hole (12) disposed laterally behind. In the case of the ear shown diagrammatically in FIG. 6, the lobe has good symmetry, so that the rod (2) passes through a hole (12) formed centrally in the plate (8). In the case of the ear shown schematically in 5 fig. 7, the lobe presents a return towards the front requiring an inclination in this direction of the arc (9) carrying the brilliants (10).

As indicated previously, after adaptation of the jewel to an individual, the unused holes (12) remain closed by a film of synthetic material or the like.

As is apparent from the above, the invention brings a great improvement to the existing technique, by providing a piece of jewelry of simple design, extremely elegant, and allowing the user to wear it either in the form of a single piece of jewelry placed on the ear lobe, either in the form of a piece of jewelry placed on the ear lobe in combination with jewelry highlighting the ear lobe.

Ear jewel comprising a rod (2) passing through a hole in the ear lobe and carrying, at its free end, a jewel (3) which comes to bear against the lobe, characterized in that the rod (2) crosses and supports a part (8) which, pressed against the posterior face of the ear lobe, comprises a lower part (9) turned outwards, in the shape of an arc, emphasizing the edge of the lobe of the ear and wearing jewelry (10). 2. Jewel according to claim 1, characterized in that the part (8) of the piece carrying the jewelry (10) emphasizing the ear lobe is in the form of an oblong plate in which are formed a plurality of holes (12) each of which is the diameter of the rod (2). 2 3. Jewel according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the part (7) supporting the jewelry (10) emphasizing the ear lobe has a general S-shaped profile whose end of a branch carries the arch (9) jewel support and the other branch of which is pressed against the posterior face of the ear lobe. There are two main types of ear jewelry, namely those that are attached to the ear by pinching it, such as earrings, and those that are attached to the ear by crossing a hole in it. Currently, the jewelry of the second type cited most often includes a rod at one end of which is fixed the jewel itself, which is constituted by a diamond, a stone, a pearl or the like, this rod passing through a hole in the lobe. of the ear, so that the jewel rests on the latter, its free end cooperating on the rear face of the ear lobe with a piece forming a lock. This type of ear jewelry has, however, the disadvantage, due to its discretion, of not dressing the lower part of the earlobe sufficiently, as is the case with an earring for example.
