Device for boiling liquids, in particular milk, especially for restaurants and households. The present invention relates to a device for boiling liquids, especially milk, especially for restaurants and households. The device according to the invention is characterized in that an open-topped vessel for receiving the liquid to be boiled, such as milk, is removable and partially immersed in a water bath located inside a hermetically sealable and heatable container, the lid of which is detachably attached is and carries a riser pipe, the lower end of which extends into (read the certain vessel to hold the liquid to be boiled almost to the bottom and is bent at the top to a spout,
the whole thing in such a way that the liquid is brought to the boil by heating the water bath, under the action of the steam pressure forming inside the closed container, it is pushed up through the riser pipe and can flow into a drain placed under the spout.
An example embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, partially in vertical section.
According to the drawing, the device has a water bath 1 containing loading container 2, which can be hermetically sealed by a removable lid 3 ble. Near the upper edge of the container 2 there are pivotable hooks 4, the lugs of which engage in the closed state of the container on a flange-like edge 5 of the lid 3 and the same with the interposition of a sealing ring 6, which is preferably made of soft rubber, against the edge of the Pull container 2. On the cover 3, a ventilation valve 7 is attached, which has a passage opening closed under the action of a spring by means of a ball.
In the water bath 1 is. a flat, open, cup-shaped vessel 8 partially submerged, which is provided with feet 9, which allow the water bath to access the underside of the vessel bottom. A riser pipe 10 penetrates the cover 3 and is attached to the same in such a way that the lower end of the riser pipe protrudes into the vessel 8, namely up to serves. Against its bottom, while the upper end of the tube 10 is bent over to form a spout 11, the outlet of which is directed downwards.
The bottom of the water bath contain the BelAltei: s '' is to be placed on a hot plate 1? set up. by processing the underside of the floor as flat as possible. According to the illustrated embodiment example. the hot plate 1 \? - electrically heatable and installed horizontally in the housing of a rechaud 13 which has a horizontal support surface 14 for placing a collecting vessel 15 to be placed under the spout 11.
In addition, the Reehaus 13 has a plug 16 for connecting an electrical feed cable and a switch 17 with a rheostat for setting the desired current intensity and for switching off.
The heating plate 12 is rigidly attached to a vertical column 18, the lower end of which is supported on one end of a balance beam 19 and is articulated with ben denel. The balance beam 19 is pivoted about a horizontal pin 20 in the rechaud 13 and carries a weight 21 at its other end, which is measured so that the hot plate 12 is moved upwards when the container 2 placed on it is removed, while, conversely, the weight 21 is pivoted upwards when the container 2 is placed on the hot plate.
In order to keep the column 18 and thus the plate 12 always parallel with these movements, one end of a link 22 is articulated to the column, the other end of which is mounted above the pivot 20 of the balance beam in a pin 23 so that it can be pivoted in the rechaud, such that the link runs parallel to the balance beam 19 ver, whereby a parallel guidance of the column 18 is guaranteed.
The movable contact element 24 of the switch 17 is connected to one end of the balance beam via a compression spring 25, and the arrangement is such that when the balance beam is pivoted as a result of placing or lifting the container 2 from the heating plate, the movable Contact element 24 in the manner of a toggle switch jumps into one or the other switching position by shifting the point of application of the compression spring 25 relative to the pivot point of the contact element 24 during the loading movement of the balance beam, until an unstable equilibrium position for the latter arises and is exceeded, which causes the contact element to tip over.
In addition, the switch 17 has one that can be reached from the outside of the rechaud. Operating lever 26, with the help of which the switch can be operated manually and independently of the position of the heating plate 12.
The use and operation of the device described is as follows: With the cover 3 removed, the vessel 8 is filled, for example, with the milk 27 to be boiled, whereupon the cover 3 is placed on the container 2 and this is hermetically sealed. The rechaud connected by means of a cable to a power source, for example the light current distribution network, is switched on afterwards, and the heat developing in the heating plate 13 is transferred through the bottom of the container 2 to the water bath 1 and from there through the walls of the vessel 8 the milk to be boiled 27.
Since the water boils at a maximum of 100 C, the milk can be heated above this temperature, as is otherwise sometimes the case, if the milk is directly in a vessel placed on a hot plate. The boiling point of milk is slightly below that of water, so that it is entirely possible to boil the milk in a water bath. Under the effect of the steam that forms above the liquid level when heated in the container 2, the pressure of which increases as the temperature rises, the milk 27 is pushed up through the ascending pipe 10 and flows through the spout 11 into a collecting vessel 15 placed below it, in weleheni the cooked llilell can be served.
If you lift the container 1 from the heat plate 1.2, the balance beam 19 automatically actuates the. Sehalter 17 and balance beam in this way the circuit.
To clean and refill the vessel 8, the same can be taken out of the water bath with the lid 3 removed.
When the l) eti-iellerei- ten container 2 is placed on the heating plate again, the circuit is automatically activated by means of the balance beam; back on -esehalt. The device described, which is mainly intended for restaurants, but is also suitable for use in the household, has the advantage that the milk does not get any cooking odor, etc., since it cannot be heated above 100 C and that it has its vitamin content does not lose.
In addition, over-boiling, that is, over-brothel of the milk when it is boiling, is excluded because it rises through the pipe 10 as it expands and reaches the receptacle 15 on.
The device described could also be equipped with a Queek silver rocker.
