Abstract

A system for TV transmissions is secured where the effects of differential distortions of full TV signals are reduced. The emitted signal, by preset intervals, includes a test signal containing high frequency components at least on three medium levels of the videosignal. A test signal from a test signal detector (34) is intentified in an adequately equipped receiver after the demodulation from a demodulator of the received TV signals (20). Metering circuits (24) measure the distortions of the test signal of many different medium levels of the video signal, compute the agjustment required to reduce the distortion effect of every measured level of the signal and the adjustment are recorded into a memory of adress celles extracted from the demodulated signal by means of a filter (32). The recorded adjustments are fed to an interpolator (40) which further extracts adjustments for other medium levels of the videosignal, and the extracted corrections are applied to the TV signals subsequently received by a controllable adjustment circuit (38).
