Description
AUSTRALIA Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT A COMBINATION WIRELESS TRANSMITTER RECEIVER WITH A RETRACTABLE SPEAKER CORD ON A WRIST BAND The following statement is a full description of this invention, Including the best method of performing it known to me: I A COMBINATION WIRELESS TRANSMITTER RECEIVER WITH A RETRACTABLE SPEAKER CORD ON A WRIST BAND Wireless receiving and sending devices using 'Bluetooth' technology are common within the industry allowing the user freedom from a tangle of wires. Mobile phones are commonly sold with wireless devices that plug into the users ear to receive and send voice messages. Many users are happy with these devices 5 however many find that the permanent plug in one's ear is uncomfortable and unfashionable. The inventor of a combination wireless transmitter receiver with a retractable speaker cord on a wrist band has sought to solve these issues providing a comfortable, convenient and fashionable listening device that also ensures significantly reduced radiation levels that many mobile phones now emit. 10 Recent scientific studies have expressed health concerns for users of mobile phones particularly when the phone is held for long periods against the users head. Children are of particular concern as they often spend many hours talking to friends. It is the inventors desire to encourage safe mobile phone use with this invention which allows the phone to be kept in the child's pocket or bag. 15 The combination wireless transmitter receiver with a retractable speaker cord on a wrist band comprises of a speaker and cord that is housed as part of the wrist band and a wireless device paired to a media player or mobile phone. A microphone is located preferable on the opposite side of the retractable speaker 2 cord so that when the user is wearing the wrist band it can be held near the mouth to speak. The retractable speaker and cord housed within the band can be pulled out and placed between the user's fingers so that when a call is made or received an open 5 hand can be held to the ear in a fashionable and ordinary manner, the same way that mobile phones are held to the head but without the danger of increased radiation. The user hears the caller through the retractable speaker cord and speaks to the microphone within the wrist band while the phone remains in the users pocket or handbag. Upon completion of the call the user releases the 10 speaker held within two fingers so that the cord and the speaker automatically retracts back into the wrist band housing by means of a coiled spring. A combination wireless transmitter receiver with a retractable speaker cord attached to a wrist band can be better understood by viewing the following illustrations where; 15 FIGURE 1 is a sectional view of the combination wireless transmitter receiver with a retractable speaker cord attached to a wrist band. FIGURE 2 is side view of the combination wireless transmitter receiver with a retractable speaker cord attached to a wrist band.
3 FIGURE 3 is a mobile phone, a separate users hand with a combination wireless transmitter receiver and a retractable speaker cord on a wrist band. The extracted speaker cord is positioned between two fingers and a separate drawing shows a users head. 5 In FIGURE 1 a wrist band 1 is attached to a wireless transmitter receiver 2 In FIGURE 2 a speaker 3 and wire cord 4 is housed within the transmitter receiver 2. The wire cord 4 is tethered to a retractable spring coil 5. In FIGURE 3 a mobile phone 8, sends messages to a transmitter receiver 2 on a wrist band 1, on users arm hand 7. A speaker 3 is extracted on a cord 4 from the 10 transmitter receiver 2 and held by two fingers on a users hand 7. The users head 9 receives messages from a mobile phone 8 via the speaker 3 when the arm hand 7 is held near the head 9. When a mobile phone 8 call is received and paired to transmitter receiver 2 a vibrator 6 within the transmitter receiver 2 vibrates to inform the users arm hand 7 15 that an incoming message or phone call is waiting to be answered. To receive the mobile phone 8 call the speaker 3 is pulled from the housing within the transmitter receiver 2 unwinding a wire cord 4 from a spring coil 5. The speaker 3 is placed between two fingers of the arm hand 7 so that the users arm hand 7 can be held to the head 9, providing a safe distance and so prevent dangerous invisible radiation 10 that may emit from the mobile phone 8 or transmitter receiver 2.
4 The user hears the mobile phone 8 caller via the speaker 3 when the signal is wirelessly passed from the mobile phone 8 to the transmitter receiver 2 then wired via retractable cord 4 to the speaker 3 in the hand 7. To send voice messages back to the mobile phone 8 caller the user speaks to the 5 arm hand 7 where a microphone 11 is embedded into the wrist band 1, preferably on the opposite side of the transmitter receiver 2. An embedded wire in the wrist band I sends the voice response back to the transmitter receiver 2 which is then wirelessly sent to the paired mobile phone 8. Any radiation from either the mobile phone 8 or transmitter receiver 2 is welled distanced from the head 9 via the 10 extended wire cord 4 separating the speaker 3 and the transmitter receiver 2. The mobile phone 8 can remain in the users pocket or hand bag, away from the head 9. To end a mobile phone 8 call the user opens the fingers on hand 7 releasing the speaker 3 which automatically rewinds the wired cord 4 back into the housing of the transmitter receiver 2 on the wrist band I using the spring coil 5.
