Abstract

A data input device in a card lock system for transferring data between a key card issuing unit (10) and a card lock unit (70), the data input device (50) comprising a connector for connecting the data input device (50) to the card issuing unit (10) and to the card lock unit (70), means for setting input and output modes, means for entering a number specific to the card lock unit (70), means for receiving specified data from the key card issuing unit (10) and storing the data when the input mode is set, and means for transferring the specified data and the entered number specific to the card lock unit (70) to the card lock unit (70) when the output mode is set.
