Abstract

The present invention relates to cooling oils which are free of salt, alcohol, halohydrocarbons and halocarbons and have a low viscosity at low temperatures and which consist of mixtures of hexamethyldisiloxane and/or octamethyltrisiloxane and/or linear decamethyltetrasiloxane and/or octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane and/or decamethylcyclopentasiloxane.
