SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A slot machine comprising: a symbol display device capable of rearranging a plurality of symbols; an image display device capable of displaying an image; and aE a controller said controller programmed to execute the processing of: (A) executing a game in which said plurality of symbols : are rearranged by said symbol display device after game media are BET in a number equal to or less than a previously set max imum number of BETs, and game media are paid out in a number according to the rearranged symbols or a combination thereof; (B) shiftingamode fromanon-insurancemodetoan insurance mode on condition that a predetermined number of game media is : inserted; (C) counting the number of games played after shifting . to said insurance mode, in said insurance mode; : oo (D) paying out a predetermined number of game media when the number of games counted in said processing (C) reaches a specific number; N (E) determining whether or not a predetermined bonus has been established during games which are executed after the number of games counted in said process (C) reaches a notice set value which is smaller than said predetermined number by a predetermined value until it reaches said predetermined number; and (F) performing payout of game media based on said bonus at the timing of payout of game media in said processing (D), when said bonus is determined to be established in said processing (E).
2. (A) executing a game in which a plurality of symbols are rearranged by said symbol display device capable of rearranging said plurality of symbols after game media are BET in a number equal to or less than a previously set maximum number of BETs, andgamemediaarepaidout inanumber according tothe rearranged symbols or a combination thereof; (B) shiftingamode fromanon-insurancemode to an insurance mode on condition that a predetermined number of game media is inserted; (C) counting the number of games played after shifting to said insurance mode, in said insurance mode; (D) paying out a predetermined number of game media when the number of games counted in said step (C) reaches a specific number; (E) determining whether or not a predetermined bonus has been established during games which are executed after the number of games counted in said process (C) reaches a notice set value which 1s smaller than said predetermined number by a predetermined value until it reaches said predetermined number; and (F) performing payout of game media based on said bonus at the timing of payout of game media in said step (D), when said bonus is determined to be established in said step (E).
7. A slot machine substantially as herein described with reference to the illustrated embodiments.
