This invention relates to a container for mouth wash
Mouth wash is traditionally packaged in bottles of varying sizes, all of which are generally inconvenient to carry on one’s person.
It is known to provide mouth wash in powdered form in a sachet, and although convenient to carry on one’s person, it is necessary to have a separate container into which the powdered mouth wash may be poured so that it may ~ 15 be diluted with water in order to have a usable liquid mouth wash.
Object of the Invention
The object of the invention is to provide a container for mouth wash that at least partially minimises the above mentioned disadvantages.
It is another object of the invention to provide an alternate mouth wash container.
According to the present invention there is provided a sachet having mouth wash therein.. :
The sachet may be made from a low density polyethylene polymer or from polyethylene teraphthalate. Further, the inner walls of the sachet, defining the compartment in which the mouth wash is stored, may be lined in order to prevent the mouth wash from degrading the walls of the sachet.

The sachet may be of any convenient size to allow it to be carried on one’s person. It is envisaged in an embodiment of the invention that the sachet will have the dimensions of 70 mm by 100mm.
In an embodiment of the invention, the sachet may contain between 10g/m! to 20 g/ml of mouth wash, preferably 15g/ml of mouth wash.
It will be appreciated that any suitable mouth wash may be used in the sachet.
In an embodiment of the invention, the mouth wash may typically comprise one or more alcohols, flavourants, sorbitol, solubilizer and/or sweetner. ~The sachet may be manufactured according to methods known in the art and upon filling may be sealed by any known sealing method, such as heat welding.
According to a second aspect of the invention there is provided the use of a sachet for containing mouth wash.
According to a third aspect of the invention there is provided a pack containing a plurality of sachets having mouth wash therein. - Detailed description of the invention
An embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to Figure 1 which is a perspective view of the sachet containing the mouth wash according to the invention.
With reference to figure 1, there is provided a sachet 10 containing mouth wash 15, the sachet 10 being made from a low density polyethylene polymer.
It will be appreciated that the shape of the sachet 10 may differ without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
In use, it is envisaged that the sachet containing mouth wash may be sold in a pack or may be sold together with other dental products such as a toothbrush and/or toothpaste.
The applicant believes that the sachet may be used in the travel industry and/or in hospitals and the like, especially where HIV/AIDS is prevelant. The compact and small nature of the sachet also lends itself to being used for overseas travel.
The above is only one embodiment of the invention and it will be appreciated that many variants in detail are possible without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (15)
1. A sachet having mouth wash therein. oe
2. The sachet as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the sachet is made from a : low-density polyethylene polymer. :
3. The sachet as claimed in any one of Claims 1 or 2, wherein the sachet is made from polyethylene teraphthalate.
4. The sachet as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 3, wherein the sachet has inner walls.
5. The sachet as claimed in Claim 4, wherein the inner walls define a compartment in which the mouth wash is stored.
6. The sachet as claimed in any one of Claims 4 or 5, wherein the inner walls are lined in order to prevent the mouth wash from degrading the inner walls of the sachet. ‘
7. The sachet as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the sachet is of any convenient size to allow it to be carried on one’s person.
8. The sachet as claimed in Claim 7, wherein the size of the sachet is 70 mm by 100 mm.
9. The sachet as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the sachet contains between 10g/ml to 20 g/ml of mouth wash.
10. The sachet as claimed in Claim 9, wherein the sachet contains 15g/ml of mouth wash.
11. The sachet as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, wherein the sachet contains any suitable mouth wash.
12. The sachet as claimed in Claim 11, wherein the mouth wash comprises one or more alcohols, flavourants, sorbitol, solubilizer and/or sweetner.
13. Use of a sachet for containing mouth wash.
14. A pack containing a plurality of sachets each having mouth wash therein.
