Description

ll I | | I Specification : Incorporated Garage door opener
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to automatic control devices for garage doors, and more particularly to an incorporated garage door opener with a chargeable battery module integrated into the garage : door opener. -
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Nowadays, garage door openers are widely utilized for controlling and actuating to open and shut down garage doors automatically. Conventionally, a garage door opener includes a main controller and an actuating device. The main controller includes an actuating control circuit, a power supply and so on. The power supply of the garage door opener adopts DC (direct current) power. The power supply generally includes a transformer for accessing to mains supply, and then transferring the soning supply to direct current power with appropriate voltage for garage door actuation. In case of blackout of the mains supply, the power supply will fail to provide power to the garage door, and consequently the garage door cannot work.
Therefore, in the district blackout happens frequently, most garage door opener has a backup power supply, which usually is a battery module in a box. The backup battery module will provide power in case of the mains supply failure.
As shown in Fig. 1, a garage door opener 100 includes a main controller 10 and an actuating device 20, for controlling and driving a garage door 30. An actuating control circuit 12 in the main controller 10 outputs a signal for controlling the actuating device 20. The power of the actuating control circuit 12 is supplied by a power supply 14. The power supply 14 includes a transformer 16 connecting with mains supply. The transformer 16 transforms mains supply to direct current power suitable for the garage door 30. The power transformed by the transformer 16 is the primary supply of the garage door opener 100. The garage door opener 100 further includes a backup battery module 50 as a secondary supply. During blackout of the mains supply, the backup battery module 50 can be connected with the garage door opener and output power into the main controller 10.
This method uses battery as a backup power supply. When blackout happens, it takes time to equip battery module box. The garage door opener doesn’t work until the power supply is switched from the primary power to the battery. Additionally, when the consumer buys a garage door opener, a backup battery module box has to be bought together.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally provides an incorporated garage door opener with a chargeable battery module integrated into the garage door opener and acting as a primary power supply.
At least one embodiment of the present invention discloses an incorporated garage door opener which includes an actuating device with a driving mechanism for driving a garage door, a main controller with an actuating control circuit for controlling the actuating device, and a battery module integrated into the incorporated garage door opener. The actuating control circuit electrically connects with the driving mechanism. The battery module electrically connects with the driving mechanism and the actuating control circuit. The battery module is chargeable, when in operation, which acts as a primary power supply. Therefore, even during blackout of the mains supply the battery module can still provide power, and the incorporated garage door opener keeps working. The. incorporated garage door opener is particularly adapted to the districts where blackout happens frequently. : BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The main controller 210 comprising an actuating control circuit 212 and a battery module 60 electrically connecting with the actuating control circuit 212. The battery module 60 is . chargeable, which connects with a charger and then accesses to mains supply. The charger is accommodated into the main controller 210 together with the battery module 60. Alternatively, the charger is arranged in a plug connecting with the mains supply. The actuating device 220 comprises a driving mechanism 225. The driving mechanism 225 electrically connects with the actuating control circuit 212. The actuating control circuit 212 in the main controller 210 outputs a control signal for controlling the driving mechanism 225. : The charger connects with the mains supply for charging battery module 60. The battery module 60 outputs direct current power for the actuating control circuit 212. In normal condition, the battery module 60 provides power for the incorporated garage door opener 200 as a primary power supply. In case of blackout of the mains supply, the power deposited in the battery module 60 is continually provided to the incorporated garage door opener 200.
Referring to Fig. 3, an incorporated garage door opener 300 in accordance with second preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a main controller 310 and an actuating device 320 electrically connecting with the main controller 310. The main controller 310 . comprising an actuating control circuit 312. The actuating device 320 comprises a driving mechanism 325 and a battery module 60 electrically connecting with the driving mechanism 225.
The driving mechanism 325 electrically connects with the actuating control circuit 312. The actuating control circuit 312 in the main controller 310 outputs a control signal for controlling the driving mechanism 325. The battery module 60 is chargeable, which connects with a charger and then accesses to mains supply. The charger is accommodated into the actuating device 320 together with the battery module 60. Alternatively, the charger is arranged in a plug.
The charger connects with the mains supply for charging battery module 60. The battery module 60 outputs direct current power for the actuating device 320. In normal condition, the . battery module 60 provides power for the incorporated garage door opener 300 as a primary power supply. In case of blackout of the mains supply, the power deposited in the battery module 60 is continually provided to the incorporated garage door opener 300.
