Description
THIS INVENTION relates to a cover for a geyser and to a geyser having the cover.
According to the invention there is provided a cover for a geyser which includes a hinged flap.
The cover may have a body which defines an aperture in which the flap is located, the body and the flap having complementary hinge formations, and the flap being displaceable between open and closed positions.
The flap may have a securing means on its inner side for securing an electrical isolator thereto.
The flap may define a switch opening for providing, when an electrical isolator is secured to the inner side of the flap, access to a switch member of the isolator from the outer side of the flap. The switch member of the isolator may be accessible or extend through the switch opening. Further, the flap may define an indicator opening for an indicator of an electrical isolator when it is secured to the inner side of the flap.
The flap may have a frame or housing in which the isolator is
INE CRVE CVn SVE. Vr. receivable.
The body and the flap may have complementary fastening formations whereby the flap may be fastened to the body in its closed position.
Further according to the invention there is provided a geyser which has a cover that has a hinged flap.
The cover may have a body w hich defines an aperture in which the flap is located, the body and the flap having complementary hinge formations, and the flap being displaceable between open and closed positions.
The flap may have an electrical isolator secured to its inner side.
The flap may define a switch opening for providing access to a switch member of the isolator from the outer side of the flap.
The flap may define an indicator opening for an indicator of the isolator.
The body and the flap may have complementary fastening formations whereby the flap may be fastened to the body in its closed position.
The invention will now be described by way of a non-limiting, illustrative example with reference to the accompanying diagrammatic drawings, in which:-
Figure 1 shows a cover for a geyser in accordance with the invention with its flap closed; and
Figure 2 shows the cover of Figure 1 with its flap open.
Referring to the drawings, Figures 1 and 2 show a cover for a geyser (not shown), the cover being designated generally by reference numeral 10. The cover 10 has a flange 12 and a domed body 14. The body 14 has an aperture 16 (Figure 2) in which a flap 18 is located. The flap 18 is hingedly attached to the body 14 by means of projections 20 on the body 14 and pins 22 on the flap 18. Thus the flap 18 is pivotal between the closed position shown in Figure 1 and the open position shown in Figure 2.
The flap 18 may be fastened to the body 14, in its closed position by means of a recessed hole 24 in the flap 18 and a screw threaded socket formation 26 fast with the body 14. The flap 18 further has frame formations 28 on its undersurface for locating an isolator 30, which is secured thereto by a clamp 32. The flap 18 also has a switch opening 34 through which a switch member 36 of the isolator 30 projects, and an indicator opening 38 through which an energised indicator 40 of the isolator projects.
