Abstract

An office wireless communication system includes an input device such as a keyboard adapted to selectively input short messages with instructions for delivery of short messages to selected ones of a plurality of mobile communication units having message displays, a wireless TDMA transceiver adapted to communicate with the plurality of mobile communication units, a message center connected to the input device, and a processor in communication with the message center and connected to the wireless transceiver. The processor is adapted to provide the wireless transceiver with the short messages and instructions for transmitting each short message simultaneously to each of the selected ones of the plurality of mobile communication units.
