Description

디스플레이 장치 및 그 제어 방법
본 개시는 디스플레이 장치 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 디스플레이 장치와 셋톱 박스 및 외부 장치 간의 무선 통신 연결시 높은 신호 품질을 확보할 수 있는 디스플레이 장치 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것이다.
디스플레이 장치에 영상을 표시하기 위해 HDMI, USB, 유선 케이블(Cable) 등과 같은 인터페이스를 이용하여 유선으로 디스플레이 장치에 영상 데이터를 전송할 수 있다. 하지만, 유선을 이용하여 디스플레이 장치에 영상 데이터를 전송하는 방식은 심미적 측면이나 편의성 측면에서 사용자로부터 호응을 받지 못할 수 있다.
따라서, 셋톱 박스를 통해 무선으로 영상 데이터를 디스플레이 장치에 전송하는 방식이 점차 증가되고 있다.
한편, 디스플레이 장치와 셋톱 박스 및 외부 장치를 무선으로 연결할 때, 영상 데이터를 전송하기 위해서는 최소한의 전송률이 요구된다. 하지만, 다양한 외부 요인으로 인하여 디스플레이 장치와 셋톱 박스 또는 외부 장치 간의 신호가 최소 전송률을 만족하지 못하면, 디스플레이 장치는 셋톱 박스 또는 외부 장치로부터 영상 데이터를 원활하게 수신할 수 없는 어려움이 있다.
본 개시에 따른 일부 측면은 다음 설명에서 제시될 수 있고, 일부는 설명으로부터 명백해지거나, 제시된 실시 예를 실행하여 학습될 수 있다.

또한, 셋톱 박스(set-top box)(200)는 디스플레이 장치(100)에 연결되어 제1 외부 장치(10)로부터 입력되는 신호를 디스플레이 장치(100)에 전송하는 장치를 모두 지칭할 수 있다. 셋톱 박스(set-top box)(200)는 영상 제공 장치로 지칭될 수 있으며, 셋톱 박스(200) 이외에 셋톱 유닛(set-top unit), STB, STU 등으로 지칭될 수도 있다. 또한, 셋톱 박스(200)는 OC 박스, DVD 플레이어 등으로 구현될 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치(100)는 제1 안테나부(110)를 이용하여 제2 외부 장치(20)와 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 이 경우, 제2 외부 장치(20)는 외부 AP(Access Point)를 포함할 수 있다. 디스플레이 장치(100)는 무선 네트워크를 이용하여 제2 외부 장치(20)로부터 영상 데이터를 수신할 수 있다. 무선 네트워크는 LTE, LTE-A(LTE Advance), CDMA(code division multiple access), WCDMA(wideband CDMA), UMTS(universal mobile telecommunications system), WiBro(Wireless Broadband), 또는 GSM(Global System for Mobile Communications), WiFi(wireless fidelity), LiFi(light fidelity), 블루투스, 블루투스 저전력(BLE), 지그비(Zigbee), NFC(near field communication), 자력 시큐어 트랜스미션(Magnetic Secure Transmission), 라디오 프리퀀시(RF), 또는 보디 에어리어 네트워크(BAN) 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 무선통신 시스템이 WIFI를 사용하는 경우, 디스플레이 장치(100)는 외부 AP(Access Point)에 STA(WIFI Station) 모드로 연결되어 AP로부터 영상 데이터를 수신할 수 있다.
셋톱 박스(200)는 제1 외부 장치(10)와 유선 또는 무선으로 연결되고, 디스플레이 장치(100)에 구비된 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 디스플레이 장치(100)와 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 셋톱 박스(200)는 제1 외부 장치(10)로부터 영상 데이터를 입력받아 디스플레이 장치(100)에 전송할 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치(100)는 무선 네트워크를 이용하여 제2 외부 장치(20)로부터 영상 데이터를 수신하거나, 제1 외부 장치(10)에 연결된 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 무선으로 영상 데이터를 수신하여 디스플레이할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 디스플레이 장치(100)는 WIFI7을 이용하여 제2 외부 장치(20)로부터 영상 데이터를 수신하거나, 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 영상 데이터를 수신할 수 있다.
WIFI7은 기존의 WIFI와 대비하여 높은 데이터 전송률을 확보하기 위해, 높은 성능의 MCS(Modulation Coding Scheme)인 4K QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation)을 사용한다. WIFI7은 320MHz의 광대역폭을 적용하며, 다중 연결(MLO, Multi Link Operation)을 적용하여 WIFI6 대비 더 높은 WIFI 속도, 더 안정적인 WIFI 및 더 짧은 지연 시간을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, WIIF7은 MRU(Multi-Resource Unit) 기술을 기반으로 직교 주파수 분할 다중 접속(OFDMA, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access)의 효율성을 증대할 수 있다. 특히, WIFI7은 다중 연결(MLO)을 기반으로 기존의 WIFI와 대비하여 매우 높은 성능의 연결 속도를 제공할 수 있다.
기존의 WIFI는 2.4GHz 또는 5GHz 대역 중 하나의 대역만을 연결하여 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 하지만, WIFI7은 다중 연결(MLO)을 통해 2.4GHz, 5GHz 및 6GHz 대역을 동시에 연결할 수 있기 때문에 데이터 처리량이 증가하고, 지연 시간을 감소시킬 수 있다. 디스플레이 장치(100)는 다중 연결(MLO)을 이용하여 서로 다른 주파수 대역과 채널을 통해 동시에 데이터를 송수신할 수도 있다.
도 2는 본 개시의 다양한 실시 예에 따른 디스플레이 장치의 구성을 나타낸 블록도 이다.
도 2에 따르면, 디스플레이 장치(100)는 제1 안테나부(110), 제2 안테나부(120), 제1 RF(radio-frequency) 모듈(130), 제2 RF 모듈(140), 제1 스위칭부(150) 및 프로세서(160)를 포함한다. 이때, 제1 안테나부(110)는 제2 외부 장치(20)와 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 적어도 하나의 안테나를 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 디스플레이 장치(100)와 제2 외부 장치(20)가 WIFI7을 기반으로 무선으로 연결된 경우, 제1 안테나부(110)는 2.4GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나, 5GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나, 및 6GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 다만, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 제1 안테나부(110)는 다양한 주파수 대역으로 동작하는 임의의 개수의 안테나들을 포함할 수 있다.
제1 RF 모듈(130)은 제1 안테나부(110)를 이용하여 신호를 송수신하기 위한 구성이다. 제1 RF 모듈(130)은 제1 RF 회로로 지칭될 수 있다. 제1 RF 모듈(130)은 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 수신되는 신호를 처리하여 영상 데이터로 변환하거나, 제1 안테나부(110)를 이용하여 신호를 제2 외부 장치(20)에 송신할 수 있다. 이 경우, 제1 RF 모듈(130)은 트랜시버, PAM(power amp module), 주파수 필터, LNA(low noise amplifier) 등을 포함할 수 있다. 다만, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 제1 RF 모듈(130)은 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 수신되는 신호를 처리하거나, 제1 안테나부(110)를 이용하여 신호를 송신하기 위한 다양한 장치를 포함할 수 있다.
제2 안테나부(120)는 셋톱 박스(200)와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 구성이다. 제2 안테나부(120)는 셋톱 박스(200)와 신호를 송수신하기 위한 적어도 하나의 안테나를 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 디스플레이 장치(100)와 셋톱 박스(200)가 WIFI7을 통해 무선으로 연결된 경우, 제2 안테나부(120)는 2.4GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나, 5GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나, 및 6GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 다만, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 제2 안테나부(120)는 다양한 주파수 대역으로 동작하는 임의의 개수의 안테나들을 포함할 수 있다.
제2 RF 모듈(140)은 제2 안테나부(120)를 이용하여 신호를 송수신하기 위한 구성이다. 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 제2 RF 회로로 지칭될 수 있다. 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호를 처리하여 영상 데이터로 변환하거나, 제2 안테나부(120)를 이용하여 신호를 셋톱 박스(200)에 송신할 수 있다. 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 트랜시버, PAM(power amp module), 주파수 필터, LNA(low noise amplifier) 등을 포함할 수 있다. 다만, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호를 처리하거나, 제2 안테나부(120)를 이용하여 신호를 송신하기 위한 다양한 장치를 포함할 수 있다.
제1 스위칭부(150)는 제1 안테나부(110)를 제1 RF 모듈(130) 또는 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 선택적으로 연결시키기 위한 구성이다. 제1 스위칭부(150)는 제1 안테나부(110)에 포함된 각각의 안테나와 제1 RF 모듈(130) 또는 제2 RF 모듈(140) 사이에 배치된 적어도 하나의 스위치를 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제1 스위칭부(150)는 공지의 SPDT(Single Pole Double Throw)를 사용하여 구성될 수 있다.
프로세서(160)는 디스플레이 장치(100)의 각 구성과 연결되어 디스플레이 장치(100)의 동작을 전반적으로 제어하기 위한 구성이다. 프로세서(160)는 디지털 시그널 프로세서(digital signal processor(DSP)), 마이크로 프로세서(microprocessor), GPU(Graphics Processing Unit), AI(Artificial Intelligence) 프로세서, NPU (Neural Processing Unit) 등 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 적어도 하나의 프로세서로 구현될 수 있다. 다만, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 중앙처리장치(central processing unit(CPU)), MCU(Micro Controller Unit), MPU(micro processing unit), 컨트롤러(controller), 어플리케이션 프로세서(application processor(AP)), 또는 커뮤니케이션 프로세서(communication processor(CP)), ARM 프로세서 중 하나 또는 그 이상을 포함하거나, 해당 용어로 정의될 수 있다. 또한, 프로세서(160)는 프로세싱 알고리즘이 내장된 SoC(System on Chip), LSI(large scale integration)로 구현될 수도 있고, ASIC(application specific integrated circuit), FPGA(Field Programmable gate array) 형태로 구현될 수도 있다.
프로세서(160)는 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질(quality)을 식별한다. 프로세서(160)는 제1 RF 모듈(130)이 대기 상태이고, 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기설정된 기준치 이하이면, 제1 안테나부(110)가 셋톱 박스(200)와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되도록 제1 스위칭부(150)를 제어한다. 예를 들어, 제1 스위칭부(150)가 SPDT(Single Pole Double Throw)로 구현된 경우, 프로세서(160)는 제1 스위칭부(150)를 제어하여 제1 안테나부(110)와 제1 RF 모듈(130) 간의 연결을 해제하고, 제1 안테나부(110)를 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결시킬 수 있다.
이 경우, 프로세서(160)는 제1 RF 모듈(130)이 동작 상태이거나, 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기준치 이상이면, 제1 안테나부(110)와 제1 RF 모듈(130) 간의 연결 상태를 유지시킬 수 있다.
한편, 프로세서(160)는 신호의 전송률(Throughput), RSSI(수신 신호 강도, Received Signal Strength Indicator), SNR, 패킷 지연(Packet delay), 패킷 손실(Packet loss) 또는 Jitter 중 적어도 하나에 기초하여 신호의 품질을 식별할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 프로세서(160)는 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 전송률(Throughput)이 기설정된 최소 전송률 이하이면, 제1 안테나부(110)가 셋톱 박스(200)와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되도록 제1 스위칭부(150)를 제어할 수 있다. 프로세서(160)는 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 RSSI가 최소 강도 이하이면, 제1 안테나부(110)가 셋톱 박스(200)와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되도록 제1 스위칭부(150)를 제어할 수 있다. 다만, 본 개시에서는 신호의 전송률(Throughput)을 기준으로 설명한다.
여기서, 전송률(Throughput)은 단위 시간당 외부 장치 또는 셋톱 박스로부터 RF 모듈에 전송되는 신호의 양을 나타낸다. RSSI는 RF 모듈에서 수신된 신호의 강도, 수신 전파 신호의 세기 또는 신호의 세기를 나타낸다. RSSI의 경우 신호의 세기를 음수로 표현하며, 0에 가까울수록 신호의 세기가 강한 것을 나타낸다.
패킷 지연(Packet delay)은 송신 장치로부터 RF 모듈까지 신호가 전송되는데 걸리는 시간이 지연되는 것을 나타낸다. 패킷 손실(Packet loss)은 외부 장치 또는 셋톱 박스로부터 전송된 신호가 RF 모듈에서 수신되지 못하여 패킷이 손실되는 것을 나타낸다. SNR(신호대잡음비, Signal-to-noise ratio)은 외부 장치 또는 셋톱 박스로부터 RF 모듈에 전송되는 신호에 대한 노이즈 전력 대비 신호 전력 세기의 비율을 나타낸다.
Jitter는 외부 장치 또는 셋톱 박스로부터 RF 모듈에 전송되는 신호의 패킷 지연이 일정하지 않고, 불규칙적으로 변하는 상태를 나타낸다. Jitter는 외부 장치 또는 셋톱 박스로부터 RF 모듈에 전송되는 신호에서 패킷 간의 간격이 일정하지 않고, 셋톱 박스로부터 전송되는 신호가 RF 모듈에 늦게 도착하거나, 빨리 도착하는 상태를 나타낸다.
도 3은 본 개시의 다양한 실시 예에 따른 디스플레이 장치의 세부 구성을 설명하기 위한 도면 이다.
도 3에 따르면, 디스플레이 장치(100)는 제1 안테나부(110), 제2 안테나부(120), 제1 RF 모듈(130), 제2 RF 모듈(140), 제1 스위칭부(150), 프로세서(160), 제1 매칭부(310), 메모리(320), 디스플레이(330) 및 인터페이스(340)를 포함할 수 있다. 도 3에 도시된 구성 중 도 2에 도시된 구성과 중복되는 구성에 대해서는 자세한 설명을 생략하도록 한다.
제1 매칭부(310)는 제1 안테나부(110)에 대한 임피던스 매칭(Impedance Matching)을 수행하기 위한 구성이다. 제1 매칭부(310)는 제1 매칭 회로로 지칭될 수 있다. 제1 안테나부(110)가 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되면, 프로세서(160)는 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 전송되는 신호를 수신하기 위해 제1 안테나부(110)의 임피던스(Impedance)를 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 전송되는 신호의 주파수와 매칭(Matching)시킬 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치(100)는 다중 연결(MLO, Multi Link Operation) 또는 MIMO(다중입력 다중출력, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) 동작 등을 수행할 수도 있다. 디스플레이 장치(100)에서 제1 안테나부(110) 및 제2 안테나부(120)는 각각 2.4GHz, 5GHz 및 6GHz의 주파수 대역 중 어느 하나를 송수신하기 위한 적어도 하나의 안테나를 포함할 수 있다. 이 경우, 제1 안테나부(110) 및 제2 안테나부(120)는 동일한 주파수 대역(frequency band)의 신호를 송수신하거나, 대역폭의 차이가 크지 않은 유사 대역에서 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 일 실시 예에 따르면, 동일한 주파수 대역(frequency band)의 신호를 송수신하기 위한 적어도 하나의 안테나가 제1 안테나부(110)와 제2 안테나부(120)에 함께 포함될 수도 있다. 예를 들어, 제1 안테나부(110)가 2.4GHz, 5GHz 및 6GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나들을 포함하는 경우, 제2 안테나부(120)도 2.4GHz, 5GHz 및 6GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나들을 포함할 수 있다.
이때, 제1 안테나부(110) 및 제2 안테나부(120)에 동일한 주파수 대역의 안테나들이 함께 포함되는 경우, 제1 안테나부(110) 및 제2 안테나부(120)에 적용되는 주파수 대역폭(주파수의 범위)은 서로 다르기 때문에 제2 외부 장치(20)로부터 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 수신되는 신호와, 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 혼선을 방지할 수 있다. 하지만, 제1 안테나부(110) 및 제2 안테나부(120)에 적용된 주파수 대역폭의 차이가 있기 때문에 제1 안테나부(110) 및 제2 안테나부(120) 중 하나를 다이버시티 안테나로 구현하면, 다이버시티 안테나를 통해 송수신되는 신호의 전송률이 저하될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 프로세서(160)가 제1 안테나부(110)를 다이버시티 안테나로 사용하기 위해 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결하면, 제1 안테나부(110)와 제2 안테나부(120)의 주파수 대역폭에서 차이가 있기 때문에 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결된 제1 안테나부(110)의 전송률이 제2 안테나부(120)의 전송률에 비해 감소될 수 있다.
일 실시 예에 따르면, 프로세서(160)가 제1 안테나부(110)를 다이버시티 안테나로 사용하기 위해 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결하면, 제1 안테나부(110)로부터 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되는 배선과, 제2 안테나부(120)로부터 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되는 배선이 서로의 매칭에 영향을 주기 때문에 제1 안테나부(110)의 전송률과 제2 안테나부(120)의 전송률이 함께 감소될 수도 있다.
프로세서(160)는 제1 안테나부(110)에 대한 임피던스 매칭(Impedance Matching)을 수행하여 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 전송률을 증대할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제1 매칭부(310)는 제1 스위칭부(150)와 제2 RF 모듈(140) 사이에 배치될 수 있다. 제1 안테나부(110)가 셋톱 박스(200)와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 다이버시티 안테나로 동작하는 경우, 프로세서(160)는 제1 매칭부(310)를 제어하여 제1 안테나부(110)의 임피던스를 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 전송되는 신호의 주파수 또는 제2 RF 모듈(140)과 매칭(matching)시킬 수 있다. 이로 인해, 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 전송되는 신호를 제1 안테나부(110) 및 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신할 수 있다.
한편, 임피던스 매칭(Impedance Matching)은 전송선로나 전자 소자 사이에서 전달되는 신호의 임피던스를 조정하여 반사 신호를 최소화하고, 전송률을 증대하는 것을 나타낸다. 임피던스 매칭을 수행하면, 전력 또는 신호가 최대로 전달될 수 있기 때문에 신호의 전송률을 증대할 수 있다.
메모리(320)는 디스플레이 장치(100) 또는 프로세서(160)의 동작에 필요한 적어도 하나의 명령어, 데이터, 프로그램 등을 저장할 수 있다. 메모리(320)는 데이터 저장 용도에 따라 디스플레이 장치(100)에 임베디드된 메모리 형태로 구현되거나, 디스플레이 장치(100)에 탈부착 가능한 메모리 형태로 구현될 수도 있다. 예를 들어, 디스플레이 장치(100)의 구동을 위한 데이터의 경우 디스플레이 장치(100)에 임베디드된 메모리에 저장되고, 디스플레이 장치(100)의 확장 기능을 위한 데이터의 경우 디스플레이 장치(100)와 탈부착이 가능한 메모리에 저장될 수 있다.
한편, 디스플레이 장치(100)에 임베디드된 메모리의 경우 휘발성 메모리(예: DRAM(dynamic RAM), SRAM(static RAM), 또는 SDRAM(synchronous dynamic RAM) 등), 비휘발성 메모리(non-volatile Memory)(예: OTPROM(one time programmable ROM), PROM(programmable ROM), EPROM(erasable and programmable ROM), EEPROM(electrically erasable and programmable ROM), mask ROM, flash ROM, 플래시 메모리(예: NAND flash 또는 NOR flash 등), 하드 드라이브, 또는 솔리드 스테이트 드라이브(solid state drive(SSD)) 중 적어도 하나로 구현될 수 있다.
메모리(320)는 본 개시에 따른 다양한 동작들에서 생성되는 데이터를 저장하는 단일 메모리로 구현될 수 있다. 다만, 다른 실시 예에 따르면, 메모리(320)는 상이한 타입의 데이터를 각각 저장하거나, 상이한 단계에서 생성되는 데이터를 각각 저장하는 복수의 메모리를 포함하도록 구현될 수도 있다.
디스플레이(330)는 영상 컨텐츠를 디스플레이하기 위한 구성이다. 프로세서(160)는 제1 안테나부(110) 또는 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 영상 데이터가 수신되면, 수신된 영상 데이터를 디스플레이(330)에 나타낼 수 있다.
디스플레이(330)는 자발광 소자를 포함하는 디스플레이 또는, 비자발광 소자 및 백라이트를 포함하는 디스플레이로 구현될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 디스플레이(330)는 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diodes) 디스플레이, LED(Light Emitting Diodes), 마이크로 LED(micro LED), Mini LED, PDP(Plasma Display Panel), QD(Quantum dot) 디스플레이, QLED(Quantum dot light-emitting diodes) 등과 같은 다양한 형태의 디스플레이로 구현될 수 있다.
인터페이스(340)는 사용자 또는 외부 장치로부터 각종 데이터를 입력받기 위한 구성이다. 인터페이스(340)는 사용자 명령을 입력받을 수 있다. 인터페이스(340)는 조작 인터페이스 및 입출력 인터페이스 등을 포함할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 조작 인터페이스는 사용자 조작을 입력받기 위한 구성이다. 조작 인터페이스는 디스플레이 장치(100)의 본체에 구비된 각종 버튼, 터치 스크린 등을 포함할 수 있다. 사용자는 조작 인터페이스를 이용하여, 사용자 명령을 직접 디스플레이 장치(100)로 입력할 수 있다.
입출력 인터페이스는 각종 외부 신호를 입출력하기 위한 구성이다. 입출력 인터페이스는 각종 외부 메모리나 외부 소스(예를 들어, 웹 서버, 사용자 단말 장치 등)와 연결되어, 각종 데이터를 입력받을 수 있다. 입출력 인터페이스는 HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface), MHL (Mobile High- Definition Link), USB (Universal Serial Bus), USB C-type, DP(Display Port), 썬더볼트 (Thunderbolt), VGA(Video Graphics Array) 포트, RGB 포트, D-SUB(Dsubminiature) 및 DVI(Digital Visual Interface) 중 적어도 하나 이상의 인터페이스로 구현될 수 있다. 디스플레이 장치(100)는 입출력 인터페이스를 통해 연결된 외부 메모리나 외부 소스를 통해 사용자 명령 또는 신호를 수신할 수 있다.
한편, 본 개시에서는 외부 장치와 통신 하기 위한 통신 인터페이스로 와이파이 모듈 또는 RF 모듈인 것으로 설명하였으나, 이는 일 실시예에 불과할 뿐, 다른 통신 모듈을 더 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 통신 인터페이스는 블루투스 모듈, 적외선 통신 모듈 또는 기타 통신 모듈 중 적어도 하나의 모듈을 더 포함할 수 있다. 이 밖에, 통신 인터페이스는 지그비(zigbee), 3G(3rd Generation), 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project), LTE(Long Term Evolution), LTE-A(LTE Advanced), 4G(4th Generation), 5G(5th Generation)등과 같은 다양한 무선 통신 규격에 따라 통신을 수행하는 적어도 하나의 통신 칩을 포함할 수 있다. 그 밖에 디스플레이 장치는 무선 통신 모듈 이외에 유선 통신 모듈을 더 포함할 수 있다. 유선 통신 모듈은 예를 들어, LAN(Local Area Network) 모듈, 이더넷 모듈, 페어 케이블, 동축 케이블, 광섬유 케이블 또는 UWB(Ultra Wide-Band) 모듈 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.

프로세서(160)는 MLO(Multi Link Operation), MIMO(다중입력 다중출력, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) 등을 수행하여 디스플레이 장치(100)와 셋톱 박스(200) 및 제2 외부 장치(20) 간의 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 프로세서(160)는 제2 RF 모듈(140)을 제어하여 디스플레이 장치(100)와 셋톱 박스(200) 간의 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 또한, 프로세서(160)는 제1 RF 모듈(130)을 제어하여 외부의 AP(Access Point)에 STA(WIFI Station) 모드로 디스플레이 장치(100)를 연결하고, 제2 외부 장치(20)와 디스플레이 장치(100) 간의 신호를 송수신할 수 있다.
도 4를 참조하면, 제1 안테나부(110)는 제1 RF 모듈(130)과 전기적으로 연결될 수 있다. 프로세서(160)는 제1 RF 모듈(130)을 제어하여 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 제2 외부 장치(20)와 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 또한, 제2 안테나부(120)는 제2 RF 모듈(140)과 전기적으로 연결될 수 있다. 프로세서(160)는 제2 RF 모듈(140)을 제어하여 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 셋톱 박스(200)와 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 이 경우, 제1 안테나부(110)와 제2 RF 모듈(140) 사이의 연결이 차단되어 있는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

프로세서(160)는 디스플레이 장치(100)와 셋톱 박스(200) 간의 신호를 송수신하기 위한 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 지속적으로 동작시키지만, 제1 RF 모듈(130)은 제2 외부 장치(20)와 연결할 필요가 없는 경우, 전력 소비 최소화를 위하여 대기 상태로 변환시킬 수 있다. 이 경우, 프로세서(160)는 제1 안테나부(110)를 다이버시티 안테나로 활용하여 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 전송되는 신호의 수신 감도를 향상시키고, 셋톱 박스(200)와 디스플레이 장치(100) 간의 신호 전송 영역을 확장할 수 있다.
프로세서(160)는 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질을 식별할 수 있다. 프로세서(160)는 제1 RF 모듈(130)이 대기 상태이고, 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기설정된 기준치 이하이면, 제1 스위칭부(150)를 제어하여 제1 안테나부(110)를 다이버시티 안테나로 동작시킬 수 있다. 예를 들어, 프로세서(160)는 제1 RF 모듈(130)이 대기 상태일 때, 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 BER(Bit Error Rate)이 증가하여 전송률이 최소 전송률 이하이면, 제1 안테나부(110)를 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결하여 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 제2 RF 모듈(140)로 전송되는 신호의 전송률을 높일 수 있다.
프로세서(160)는 제1 RF 모듈(130)이 대기 상태이고 제2 안테나부(120)의 신호 품질이 기준치 이하이면, 제1 스위칭부(150)를 제어하여 제1 안테나부(110)와 제1 RF 모듈(130) 간의 연결을 해제(Off)하고, 제1 안테나부(110)를 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결시킬 수 있다.

한편, 도 4 및 도 5에 따르면, 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 PRX(PRX1, PRX2,...) 포트 및 DRX(DRX1, DRX2,...) 포트를 포함할 수 있다. PRX 포트는 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 전송되는 프라이머리(Primary) 신호를 수신하기 위한 구성이다. DRX 포트는 제1 안테나부(110)가 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되는 경우, 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 전송되는 다이버시티(Diversity) 신호를 수신하기 위한 구성이다.
예를 들어, 제1 안테나부(110)를 다이버시티 안테나로 동작시키기 위해 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결하면, 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신된 신호를 PRX 포트를 통해 입력받고, 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 수신된 신호를 DRX 포트를 통해 입력받을 수 있다. 이 경우, 프로세서(160)는 제2 RF 모듈(140)을 제어하여 PRX 포트를 통해 입력된 프라이머리(Primary) 신호와 DRX 포트를 통해 입력된 다이버시티(Diversity) 신호를 결합할 수 있다.
프로세서(160)는 선택 결합(Selective combining), 최대비 결합(Maximal ratio combining), 동일 이득 결합(Equal gain combining), 스위치 결합 방법(Switched combining method) 등을 이용하여 프라이머리(Primary) 신호와 다이버시티(Diversity) 신호를 결합할 수 있다. 선택 결합(Selective combining)은 입력된 여러 신호들 중에서 수신 파워가 가장 높은 신호를 선택하는 방법일 수 있다. 최대비 결합(Maximal ratio combining)은 RF 모듈에 입력된 각 신호를 미리 결정된 비율에 따라 결합하는 방법일 수 있다. 최대비 결합 방법의 경우에는 RF 모듈에 입력되는 신호를 결합하기 위한 비율을 결정하는 과정이 필요할 수 있다. 동일 이득 결합(Equal gain combining)은 RF 모듈에 입력된 신호들을 동일한 위상으로 결합하는 방법일 수 있다.
스위치 결합 방법(Switched combining method)은 RF 모듈에 입력된 신호 중 하나의 신호를 선택하고, 선택된 신호를 기준 신호값(예를 들어, 문턱값(Threshold level))과 비교하여 선택된 신호의 수신 파워가 기준 신호값(예를 들어, 문턱값(Threshold level))보다 작으면 다른 신호를 수신 신호로 결정하는 방법이다. 예를 들어, 스위치 결합 방법의 경우, 프로세서(160)는 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 입력된 프라이머리(Primary) 신호를 기준 신호값과 비교하여 프라이머리(Primary) 신호가 기준 신호값보다 크면, 프라이머리(Primary) 신호를 제2 RF 모듈(140)의 수신 신호로 결정하고, 프라이머리(Primary) 신호가 기준 신호값보다 작으면 다이버시티(Diversity) 신호를 제2 RF 모듈(140)의 수신 신호로 결정할 수 있다.
도 4 및 도 5에는 도시되지 않았지만, 제2 RF 모듈(140)은 프라이머리(Primary) 신호와 다이버시티(Diversity) 신호를 결합하기 위한 결합기를 포함할 수도 있다. 결합기는 RF 모듈에 입력되는 복수의 신호를 결합하여 한 개의 신호로 출력하기 위한 구성이다. 결합기는 신호 처리에 대한 공지 구성이므로 자세한 설명은 생략하도록 한다.
도 6 및 도 7은 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되는 배선에 의한 임피던스 영향을 감소시키는 동작을 설명하기 위한 도면이다. 구체적으로, 도 6 및 도 7은 제1 안테나부(110)로부터 제2 RF 모듈(140) 사이에 연결되는 배선이 제2 안테나부(120)와 제2 RF 모듈(140) 사이의 임피던스 매칭에 영향을 주는 경우, 배선에 의한 임피던스 영향을 감소시키는 동작을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 6에 따르면, 디스플레이 장치(100)는 제1 매칭부(310)와 제2 RF 모듈(140) 사이에 배치되는 제2 스위칭부(610)를 더 포함할 수 있다. 제2 스위칭부(610)는 제1 안테나부(110)로부터 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되는 배선을 선택적으로 연결 또는 차단시키기 위한 구성이다.

이 경우, 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되는 전송 선로의 길이가 길어지면, 전송 선로의 영향으로 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 대한 임피던스가 증가할 수 있다. 제2 안테나부(120) 및 제2 RF 모듈(140)과, 제2 안테나부(120)로부터 제2 RF 모듈(140) 사이의 전송 선로는 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 수신되는 신호에 최적화된 임피던스로 매칭된 것일 수 있다. 이때, 제1 안테나부(110)로부터 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되는 배선의 길이가 증가하면 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 대한 임피던스가 증가될 수 있다.
프로세서(160)는 제1 안테나부(110)가 제2 외부 장치(20)와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 제1 RF 모듈(130)에 연결되면, 제1 안테나부(110)로부터 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되는 배선을 차단(Off)시키도록 제2 스위칭부(610)를 제어할 수 있다.
도 8 내지 도 11은 본 개시의 다양한 실시 예에 따른 제1 안테나부 및 제2 안테나부를 선택적으로 다이버시티 안테나로 사용하는 동작을 설명하기 위한 도면들이다. 구체적으로, 도 8 내지 도 11은 제1 안테나부(110)를 다이버시티 안테나로 사용하거나, 제2 안테나부(120)를 다이버시티 안테나로 사용하는 동작을 설명하기 위한 도면들이다.

제3 스위칭부(810)는 제2 안테나부(120)를 제1 RF 모듈(130) 또는 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 선택적으로 연결시키기 위한 구성이다. 제3 스위칭부(810)는 제2 안테나부(120)에 포함된 각각의 안테나와 제1 RF 모듈(130) 및 제2 RF 모듈(140) 사이에 배치된 적어도 하나의 스위치를 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제3 스위칭부(810)는 공지의 SPDT(Single Pole Double Throw)를 사용하여 구성될 수 있다.
제2 매칭부(820)는 제2 안테나부(120)에 대한 임피던스 매칭(Impedance Matching)을 수행하기 위한 구성이다. 제2 매칭부(820)는 제2 매칭 회로로 지칭될 수 있다. 제2 안테나부(120)가 제1 RF 모듈(130)에 연결되면, 프로세서(160)는 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 제2 외부 장치(20)로부터 전송되는 신호를 수신하기 위해 제2 안테나부(120)의 임피던스(Impedance)를 제2 외부 장치(20)로부터 전송되는 신호의 주파수와 매칭(Matching)시킬 수 있다.

프로세서(160)는 제2 안테나부(120)가 셋톱 박스(200)와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결되면, 제2 안테나부(120)로부터 제1 RF 모듈(130)에 연결되는 배선을 차단(Off)시키도록 제4 스위칭부(1110)를 제어할 수 있다.
이와 같이, 본 개시에 따른 디스플레이 장치(100)는 셋톱 박스(200)로부터 제2 안테나부(120)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기준치 이하이면, 제1 안테나부(110)를 제2 RF 모듈(140)에 연결하여 셋톱박스(200)로부터 수신되는 신호의 품질을 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한, 본 개시에 따른 디스플레이 장치(100)는 제2 외부 장치(20)로부터 제1 안테나부(110)를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기준치 이하이면, 제2 안테나부(120)를 제1 RF 모듈(130)에 연결하여 제2 외부 장치(20)로부터 수신되는 신호의 품질을 향상시킬 수도 있다.
도 12 및 도 13은 본 개시의 다양한 실시 예에 따른 디스플레이 장치의 제어 방법을 설명하기 위한 흐름도이다. 구체적으로, 도 12는 제1 안테나부를 다이버시티 안테나로 동작시키는 방법을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 12에 따르면, 디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부를 이용하여 외부 장치와 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 제1 RF 모듈, 및 제2 안테나부를 이용하여 셋톱 박스와 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 제2 RF 모듈을 포함할 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치는 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질을 식별한다(S1210). 예를 들어, 디스플레이 장치가 셋톱 박스와 무선 네트워크를 통해 연결되면, 셋톱 박스로부터 디스플레이 장치로 전송되는 신호는 최소 전송률 이상을 만족해야 한다. 일 예로, 디스플레이 장치가 셋톱 박스와 8Kbit 영상 통신을 수행하기 위해서는 최소 300Mbps 이상의 전송률이 필요하다. 하지만, 셋톱 박스로부터 디스플레이 장치로 전송되는 신호의 세기는 디스플레이 장치와 셋톱 박스 간의 거리가 멀어질수록 감소한다. 셋톱 박스로부터 디스플레이 장치로 전송되는 신호와 거리의 관계는 아래의 [수학식 1]과 같이 나타낼 수 있다.
여기서, P는 디스플레이 장치에서 수신된 신호의 세기를 나타내는 전력값이고, k는 비례상수이다. d는 디스플레이 장치와 셋톱 박스 간의 거리이고, 는 셋톱 박스로부터 전송되는 신호의 크기를 나타내는 전력값이다.
디스플레이 장치와 셋톱 박스 간의 거리가 증가함에 따라 디스플레이 장치에서 수신된 신호의 세기가 감소하거나, 디스플레이 장치와 셋톱 박스 사이에 위치하는 방해물로 인하여 셋톱 박스로부터 디스플레이 장치로 전송되는 신호가 최소 전송률을 만족하지 못할 수 있다. 디스플레이 장치는 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호를 식별하고, 수신된 신호가 최소 전송률 이상인지를 식별할 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치는 제1 RF 모듈이 대기 상태인지 여부를 식별한다(S1220). 디스플레이 장치는 디스플레이 장치와 셋톱 박스 간의 신호를 송수신하기 위한 제2 RF 모듈은 지속적으로 동작시키지만, 제1 RF 모듈은 외부 장치와 연결할 필요가 없는 경우, 전력 소비 최소화를 위하여 대기 상태로 변환시킬 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치는 제1 RF 모듈이 대기 상태이고 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기설정된 기준치 이하이면, 제1 안테나부가 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하도록 제1 안테나부를 제2 RF 모듈에 연결시킨다(S1230). 예를 들어, 디스플레이 장치는 스위치를 제어하여 제1 안테나부와 제1 RF 모듈 간의 연결을 해제하고, 제1 안테나부를 제2 RF 모듈에 연결시킬 수 있다. 이 경우, 디스플레이 장치는 제1 RF 모듈이 동작 상태이거나, 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기준치 이상이면, 제1 안테나부와 제1 RF 모듈 간의 연결 상태를 유지시킬 수 있다.
또한, 디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부가 제2 RF 모듈에 연결되면, 제1 안테나부의 임피던스를 셋톱 박스로부터 수신되는 신호의 주파수와 매칭시킬 수 있다. 디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부가 제2 RF 모듈에 연결되면, 디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부를 통해 셋톱 박스로부터 전송되는 신호를 수신하기 위해 제1 안테나부의 임피던스(Impedance)를 셋톱 박스로부터 전송되는 신호의 주파수와 매칭(Matching)시킬 수 있다.
한편, 디스플레이 장치는 제1 RF 모듈이 동작 상태이고, 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기준치 이하인 경우, 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 사용자 명령이 입력되면, 제1 RF 모듈을 대기 상태로 전환할 수 있다. 또한, 디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부가 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하도록 제1 안테나부를 제2 RF 모듈에 연결시킬 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부가 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 제2 RF 모듈에 연결되면, 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호를 주기적으로 식별할 수 있다. 이 경우, 디스플레이 장치는 제2 안테나부의 신호 품질이 기준치 이상이면, 제1 안테나부와 제2 RF 모듈 간의 연결을 해제(Off)하고, 제1 안테나부를 제1 RF 모듈에 연결시킬 수 있다.
이 경우, 제1 안테나부 및 제2 안테나부는 동일한 주파수 대역(frequency band)의 신호를 송수신하거나, 대역폭의 차이가 크지 않은 유사 대역에서 신호를 송수신할 수 있다. 제1 안테나부 및 제2 안테나부가 동일한 주파수 대역에서 동작하는 경우, 제1 안테나부 및 제2 안테나부에 적용되는 주파수 대역폭(주파수의 범위)은 서로 다르기 때문에 외부 장치로부터 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호와, 셋톱 박스로부터 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 혼선을 방지할 수 있다.
제1 안테나부 및 제2 안테나부는 각각 2.4GHz, 5GHz 및 6GHz의 주파수 대역 중 어느 하나를 송수신하기 위한 적어도 하나의 안테나를 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제1 안테나부가 2.4GHz, 5GHz 및 6GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나들을 포함하는 경우, 제2 안테나부도 2.4GHz, 5GHz 및 6GHz 주파수 대역의 안테나들을 포함할 수 있다.
도 13은 제2 안테나부를 다이버시티 안테나로 동작시키는 방법을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 13에 따르면, 디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질을 식별할 수 있다(S1310). 예를 들어, 디스플레이 장치가 외부 장치와 제1 안테나를 통해 연결되면, 외부 장치로부터 제1 안테나를 통해 전송되는 신호는 최소 전송률 이상을 만족해야 한다. 하지만, 디스플레이 장치와 외부 장치 간의 거리가 멀어져서 디스플레이 장치에서 수신된 신호의 세기가 감소하거나, 디스플레이 장치와 외부 장치 사이에 위치하는 방해물 등의 간섭 요인으로 인하여 외부 장치로부터 디스플레이 장치로 전송되는 신호가 최소 전송률을 만족하지 못할 수 있다. 디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호를 식별하고, 수신된 신호가 최소 전송률 이상인지를 식별할 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치는 제2 RF 모듈이 대기 상태인지 여부를 식별할 수 있다(S1320). 디스플레이 장치는 전력 소비 최소화를 위하여 제1 RF 모듈 또는 제2 RF 모듈을 대기 상태로 변환시킬 수도 있다.
디스플레이 장치는 제2 RF 모듈이 대기 상태이고 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기준치 이하이면, 제2 안테나부가 외부 장치와의 무선 통신을 수행하도록 제2 안테나부를 제1 RF 모듈에 연결시킬 수 있다(S1330). 예를 들어, 디스플레이 장치는 스위치를 제어하여 제2 안테나부와 제2 RF 모듈 간의 연결을 해제하고, 제2 안테나부를 제1 RF 모듈에 연결시킬 수 있다. 이 경우, 디스플레이 장치는 제2 RF 모듈이 동작 상태이거나, 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 전송률이 최소 전송률 이상이면, 제2 안테나부와 제2 RF 모듈 간의 연결 상태를 유지시킬 수 있다.
또한, 디스플레이 장치는 제2 안테나부가 제1 RF 모듈에 연결되면, 제2 안테나부의 임피던스를 외부 장치로부터 수신되는 신호의 주파수와 매칭시킬 수 있다. 구체적으로, 디스플레이 장치는 제2 안테나부가 제1 RF 모듈에 연결되면, 제2 안테나부를 통해 외부 장치로부터 전송되는 신호를 수신하기 위해 제2 안테나부의 임피던스(Impedance)를 외부 장치로부터 전송되는 신호의 주파수와 매칭(Matching)시킬 수 있다.
한편, 디스플레이 장치는 제2 RF 모듈이 동작 상태이고, 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기준치 이하인 경우, 외부 장치와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 사용자 명령이 입력되면, 제2 RF 모듈을 대기 상태로 전환할 수 있다. 또한, 디스플레이 장치는 제2 안테나부가 외부 장치와의 무선 통신을 수행하도록 제2 안테나부를 제1 RF 모듈에 연결시킬 수 있다.
디스플레이 장치는 제2 안테나부가 외부 장치와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 제1 RF 모듈에 연결되면, 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호를 주기적으로 식별할 수 있다. 이 경우, 디스플레이 장치는 제1 안테나부의 신호 품질이 기준치 이상이면, 제2 안테나부와 제1 RF 모듈 간의 연결을 해제(Off)하고, 제2 안테나부를 제2 RF 모듈에 연결시킬 수 있다.
한편, 본 개시의 실시 예에 따르면, 이상에서 설명된 다양한 실시 예들은 기기(machine)(예: 컴퓨터)로 읽을 수 있는 저장 매체(machine-readable storage media)에 저장된 명령어를 포함하는 소프트웨어로 구현될 수 있다. 기기는, 저장 매체로부터 저장된 명령어를 호출하고, 호출된 명령어에 따라 동작이 가능한 장치로서, 개시된 실시 예들에 따른 디스플레이 장치를 포함할 수 있다. 명령이 프로세서에 의해 실행될 경우, 프로세서가 직접, 또는 프로세서의 제어 하에 다른 구성요소들을 이용하여 명령에 해당하는 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 명령은 컴파일러 또는 인터프리터에 의해 생성 또는 실행되는 코드를 포함할 수 있다. 기기로 읽을 수 있는 저장 매체는, 비일시적(non-transitory) 저장매체의 형태로 제공될 수 있다. 여기서, '비일시적'은 저장매체가 신호(signal)를 포함하지 않으며 실재(tangible)한다는 것을 의미할 뿐 데이터가 저장매체에 반영구적 또는 임시적으로 저장됨을 구분하지 않는다.

Claims (15)

  1. 디스플레이 장치에 있어서,
    외부 장치와 무선 통신을 수행하도록 구성된 제1 안테나부;
    상기 제1 안테나부를 통해 신호를 송수신하도록 구성된 제1 RF 회로;
    셋톱 박스와 무선 통신을 수행하도록 구성된 제2 안테나부;
    상기 제2 안테나부를 통해 신호를 송수신하도록 구성된 제2 RF 회로;
    상기 제1 안테나부를 제1 RF 회로 및 제2 RF 회로에 선택적으로 연결하도록 구성된 제1 스위치;
    인스트럭션들을 저장하는 메모리; 및
    상기 인스트럭션들을 실행하도록 구성된 적어도 하나의 프로세서;를 포함하며,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서는,
    상기 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질(quality)을 식별하고,
    상기 제1 RF 회로가 대기 상태이고 상기 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기설정된 기준치 이하이면, 상기 제1 안테나부가 상기 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 상기 제2 RF 회로에 연결되도록 상기 제1 스위치를 제어하는, 디스플레이 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 스위치와 제2 RF 회로 사이에 배치되고, 상기 셋톱 박스로부터 수신된 신호의 주파수와 대응하도록 상기 제1 안테나부의 임피던스를 제어하는 제1 매칭 회로를 더 포함하는, 디스플레이 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 매칭 회로와 상기 제2 RF 회로 사이에 배치되고, 상기 제1 안테나부로부터 제2 RF 회로에 연결되는 배선을 선택적으로 연결하도록 구성된 제2 스위치;를 더 포함하고,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서는,
    상기 제1 안테나부가 상기 제1 RF 회로에 연결되면, 상기 제1 안테나부로부터 상기 제2 RF 회로에 연결되는 배선을 분리(disconnect)하도록 상기 제2 스위치를 제어하는, 디스플레이 장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 셋톱 박스와 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 사용자 입력을 수신하도록 구성된 인터페이스;를 더 포함하고,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서는,
    상기 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신된 신호 품질이 미리 설정된 기준치 이하이고, 상기 인터페이스를 통해 사용자 입력이 수신되면, 상기 제1 RF 회로를 대기 상태로 전환하고, 상기 제1 안테나부가 상기 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 상기 제2 RF 회로에 연결되도록 상기 제1 스위치를 제어하는, 디스플레이 장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 안테나부를 제1 RF 회로 및 제2 RF 회로에 선택적으로 연결하도록 구성된 제3 스위치;를 더 포함하고,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서는,
    상기 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질(quality)을 식별하고, 상기 제2 RF 회로가 대기 상태이고, 상기 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 제2 기준치 이하이면, 상기 제2 안테나부가 상기 외부 장치와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 상기 제1 RF 회로에 연결되도록 상기 제3 스위치를 제어하는, 디스플레이 장치.
  6. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 제3 스위치와 제1 RF 회로 사이에 배치되고, 상기 외부 장치로부터 수신되는 신호의 주파수와 대응하도록 상기 제2 안테나부의 임피던스를 제어하는 제2 매칭 회로를 더 포함하는, 디스플레이 장치.
  7. 제6항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 매칭 회로와 상기 제1 RF 회로 사이에 배치되고, 상기 제2 안테나부로부터 제1 RF 회로에 연결되는 배선을 선택적으로 연결하도록 구성된 제4 스위치;를 더 포함하고,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서는,
    상기 제2 안테나부가 상기 제2 RF 회로에 연결되면, 상기 제2 안테나부로부터 상기 제1 RF 회로에 연결되는 배선을 분리(disconnect)하도록 상기 제4 스위치를 제어하는, 디스플레이 장치.
  8. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 외부 장치와 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 사용자 입력을 수신하도록 구성된 인터페이스;를 더 포함하고,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서는,
    상기 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신된 신호 품질이 제2 기준치 이하이고, 상기 인터페이스를 통해 사용자 입력이 수신되면, 상기 제2 RF 회로를 대기 상태로 전환하고, 상기 제2 안테나부가 상기 외부 장치와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위해 상기 제1 RF 회로에 연결되도록 상기 제3 스위치를 제어하는, 디스플레이 장치.
  9. 제1 안테나부를 통해 외부 장치와 무선 통신을 수행하도록 구성된 제1 RF 회로, 및 제2 안테나부를 통해 셋톱 박스와 무선 통신을 수행하도록 구성된 제2 RF 회로를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치의 제어 방법에 있어서,
    상기 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질(quality)을 식별하는 단계;
    상기 제1 RF 회로가 대기 상태인지 여부를 식별하는 단계; 및
    상기 제1 RF 회로가 대기 상태이고 상기 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기설정된 기준치 이하이면, 상기 제1 안테나부가 상기 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하도록 상기 제1 안테나부를 제2 RF 회로에 연결시키는 단계;를 포함하는, 제어 방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 안테나부를 제2 RF 회로에 연결시키는 단계는,
    상기 셋톱 박스로부터 수신되는 신호의 주파수와 대응하도록 상기 제1 안테나부의 임피던스를 제어하는 단계;를 포함하는, 제어 방법.
  11. 제9항에 있어서,
    상기 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하기 위한 사용자 입력을 수신하는 단계;를 더 포함하고,
    상기 제1 안테나부를 제2 RF 회로에 연결시키는 단계는,
    상기 제1 RF 회로가 대기 상태가 아니고, 상기 제2 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 기준치 이하이면, 상기 제1 RF 회로를 대기 상태로 전환하고, 상기 제1 안테나부가 상기 셋톱 박스와의 무선 통신을 수행하도록 상기 제1 안테나부를 제2 RF 회로에 연결시키는 단계;를 포함하는, 제어 방법.
  12. 제9항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질(quality)을 식별하는 단계;
    상기 제2 RF 회로가 대기 상태인지 여부를 식별하는 단계; 및
    상기 제2 RF 회로가 대기 상태이고 상기 제1 안테나부를 통해 수신되는 신호의 품질이 제2 기준치 이하이면, 상기 제2 안테나부가 상기 외부 장치와의 무선 통신을 수행하도록 상기 제2 안테나부를 제1 RF 회로에 연결시키는 단계;를 더 포함하는, 제어 방법.
  13. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 안테나부를 상기 제1 RF 회로에 연결시키는 단계는,
    상기 외부 장치로부터 수신되는 신호의 주파수와 대응하도록 상기 제2 안테나부의 임피던스를 제어하는 단계;를 포함하는, 제어 방법.

    상기 제어 방법은,
