Abstract
The invention relates to a steel strip or sheet comprising 0.03 – 0.12 C, 0.3 – 2.2 Mn, 0.01 – 0.1 Al, 0.0001 – 0.08 V, 0.01 – 0.10 Nb, 0.001 – 0.2 Ti, ≤ 0.60 Si, ≤ 0.4 Cr, ≤ 0.25 Ni, ≤ 0.2 Mo, ≤ 0.4 Cu, balance Fe apart from impurities, the microstructure comprising (in vol. %): polygonal ferrite (15 – 65), bainite and quasi polygonal ferrite (35– 85), pearlite (< 3), cementite (< 3), retained austenite (<1), and having a Yield strength of 250 – 700 MPa, a Hole expansion ratio (!) of ≥ 70 %,, a Tensile strength of 300 – 900 MPa, and a Total elongation of > 15 %, and the strip or sheet having a thickness of 2.0 – 6.5 mm. The invention also relates to a method of producing the strip or sheet.
