 ブリーザ構造を有するユニットにおいて、ブリーザ室へのオイル侵入量を減少させることが求められている。
 本発明のある態様におけるユニットは、
 モータが収容されるモータ収容室と、動力伝達機構が収容される動力伝達機構室と、を有するハウジングを有し、
 前記ハウジングは、呼吸部と連通するブリーザ室を有し、
 前記ブリーザ室は、前記モータ収容室内にブリーザ室入口とオイル戻し口とを有し、
 前記オイル戻し口は、前記モータのステータの外周面に対向する位置に配置されている。
 本発明のある態様によれば、ブリーザ室へのオイル侵入量を減少させることができる。

 始めに、本明細書における用語の定義を説明する。
 「ユニット」とは、「モータユニット」、「動力伝達装置」等とも呼ばれる。モータユニットは、少なくともモータを有するユニットである。動力伝達装置は、少なくとも動力伝達機構を有する装置であり、動力伝達機構は、例えば、歯車機構及び/又は差動歯車機構等である。モータ及び動力伝達機構を有する装置であるユニットは、モータユニット及び動力伝達装置の双方の概念に属する。
 「ハウジング」とは、モータ、ギア、インバータを収容するものである。ハウジングは1つ以上のケースから構成される。
 「モータ」とは、電動機機能及び/又は発電機機能を有する回転電機である。
 要素A(部品、部分等)に接続された要素B(部品、部分等)、要素A(部品、部分等)の下流に接続された要素B(部品、部分等)、要素A(部品、部分等)の上流に接続された要素B(部品、部分等)と述べられた場合、要素Aと要素Bとが動力伝達可能に接続されていることを意味する。動力の入力側が上流となり、動力の出力側が下流となる。また、要素Aと要素Bは、他の要素(クラッチ、他の歯車機構等)を介して接続されていても良い。
 「所定方向視においてオーバーラップ」とは、所定方向に複数の要素が並んでいることを意味し、「所定方向にオーバーラップ」と記載する場合と同義である。「所定方向」は、例えば、軸方向、径方向、重力方向、車両走行方向(車両前進方向、車両後進方向)等である。
 図面上において複数の要素(部品、部分等)が所定方向に並んでいることが図示されている場合は、明細書の説明において、所定方向視においてオーバーラップしていることを説明した文章があるとみなして良い。
 「所定方向視においてオーバーラップしていない」、「所定方向視においてオフセットしている」とは、所定方向に複数の要素が並んでいないことを意味し、「所定方向にオーバーラップしていない」、「所定方向にオフセットしている」と記載する場合と同義である。「所定方向」は、例えば、軸方向、径方向、重力方向、車両走行方向(車両前進方向、車両後進方向)等である。
 図面上において複数の要素(部品、部分等)が所定方向に並んでいないことが図示されている場合は、明細書の説明において、所定方向視においてオーバーラップしていないことを説明した文章があるとみなして良い。
 「所定方向視において要素A(部品、部分等)は要素B(部品、部分等)と要素C(部品、部分等)との間に位置する」とは、所定方向から観察した場合において、要素Aが要素Bと要素Cとの間にあることが観察できることを意味する。「所定方向」は、例えば、軸方向、径方向、重力方向、車両走行方向(車両前進方向、車両後進方向)等である。
 例えば、要素Bと要素Aと要素Cとが、この順で軸方向に沿って並んでいる場合は、径方向視において、要素Aは要素Bと要素Cとの間に位置しているといえる。図面上において、所定方向視において要素Aが要素Bと要素Cとの間にあることが図示されている場合は、明細書の説明において所定方向視において要素Aが要素Bと要素Cとの間にあることを説明した文章があるとみなして良い。
 軸方向視において、2つの要素(部品、部分等)がオーバーラップするとき、2つの要素は同軸である。
 「軸方向」とは、ユニットを構成する部品の回転軸の軸方向を意味する。「径方向」とは、ユニットを構成する部品の回転軸に直交する方向を意味する。部品は、例えば、モータ、歯車機構、差動歯車機構等である。
 以下、本実施形態について説明する。本実施形態では、車両に搭載されたユニット1を例に挙げて説明する。
 図1は、ユニット1を説明する図である。図1では、モータ2の回転軸Xに沿う断面を模式的に示している。図1では、動力伝達機構3を仮想線で記載してある。
 図2は、ブリーザ室7を説明する図である。図2は、後記する図3のA-A断面の模式図である。
 図3は、ブリーザ室7を説明する図である。図3は、図2のA-A矢視図である。なお、図3では、オイル供給部材6を仮想線で記載して、ブリーザ室7を露出させている。また、位置関係を把握し易くするために、支持部16とブリーザ室7を形成する壁部に、種類の異なるハッチングを付してある。
 図4は、ユニット1内のオイルOLの流れを説明する図である。図4は、図2のB-B断面の模式図である。なお、図4では、鉛直線VLを挟んだ右側の領域において、ステータ22の一部を破断して、支持壁111に形成されたオイル溝117を示している。
 また、これらの図面における「上下方向」とは、ユニット1が車両に搭載された状態を基準としたときの鉛直線VL方向を意味する。よって、「上側」と表記した場合には、鉛直線VL方向における「上側」を意味し、「下側」と表記した場合には、鉛直線VL方向における「下側」を意味する。
 図1に示すように、ユニット1は、モータ2と、モータ2の回転駆動力を伝達する動力伝達機構3と、モータ2の電力変換装置であるインバータ4と、を有する。動力伝達機構3は、モータ2と一体に回転する入力ギア31と、入力ギア31の回転を減速して出力ギア(図示せず)に伝達するカウンタギア32と、を有する。
 入力ギア31は、モータ2の回転軸Xと同軸であり、カウンタギア32は、モータ2の回転軸Xと平行な回転軸X1回りに回転する。なお、図1では、動力伝達機構3が1つのカウンタギア32を備える例を図示しているが、カウンタギア32は、入力ギア31と出力ギアとの間に複数介在しても良い。
 ユニット1では、モータ2の回転駆動力は、動力伝達機構3で減速されたのち、出力ギアから差動機構(図示せず)に出力される。差動機構に出力された回転駆動力は、ドライブシャフト(図示せず)を介して、左右の駆動輪(図示せず)に伝達される。
 図1に示すように、ユニット1のハウジングHSは、モータ2と、動力伝達機構3とを収容する。ハウジングHSは、例えば、モータ2を収容するモータケース10と、動力伝達機構3を収容するギアケース13と、を有する。モータケース10とギアケース13とは、回転軸X方向で接合されている。
 モータケース10は、ケース部材11と、回転軸X方向でケース部材11に接合されるカバー部材12と、を有する。
 ケース部材11は、回転軸Xを囲む支持壁部111を有する。支持壁部111は、回転軸Xに沿う向きに設けられている。支持壁部111の内側には、モータ2が収容される。支持壁部111の一端111a(軸方向の一方側)には、ギアケース13がボルト(図示せず)で連結されている。支持壁部111の他端111b(軸方向の他方側)には、カバー部材12がボルト(図示せず)で連結されている。
 支持壁部111の一端111a側には、モータ2と動力伝達機構3の間を内径側に延びる壁部113が設けられている。壁部113は、回転軸Xに直交する向きで設けられている。壁部113の回転軸Xと交差する領域に、開口113aが設けられている。壁部113の開口113aを、モータシャフト20が回転軸X方向に貫通している。
 壁部113では、モータ2側(図中、右側)の面に、開口113aを囲むモータ支持部114が設けられている。モータ支持部114は、モータ2側に延びる筒状を成している。
 モータ支持部114の内周には、ベアリングBmが支持されている。モータシャフト20の外周が、ベアリングBmを介してモータ支持部114で支持されている。
 また、壁部113では、動力伝達機構3側(図中、左側)の面には、カウンタギア支持部115が設けられている。カウンタギア支持部115は、回転軸X1を囲む筒状を成している。カウンタギア支持部115は、回転軸X1に沿ってモータ2と反対側に延びている。カウンタギア支持部115の内周には、ベアリングBgが支持されている。ベアリングBgは、カウンタギア32を支持している。
 ハウジングHSの内部に形成される空間は、壁部113によって、2つに区画される。壁部113からモータ2側の空間(図中、右側)が、モータ2を収容するモータ収容室Saである。壁部113から動力伝達機構3側の空間(図中、左側)が、動力伝達機構3を収容する動力伝達機構室Sbである。
 カバー部材12は、回転軸Xに直交する壁部120と、壁部120の外周を囲む周壁部121とを有する。周壁部121は、ケース部材11の支持壁部111の他端111bに回転軸X方向から接合されている。この状態においてケース部材11は、他端111b側の開口が、カバー部材12で塞がれている。
 カバー部材12の、壁部120におけるモータ2側の面に、モータ支持部125が設けられている。モータ支持部125は、筒状を成しており、回転軸Xを間隔を空けて囲む。
 モータ支持部125の内周には、ベアリングBmが支持されている。モータシャフト20の外周が、ベアリングBmを介してモータ支持部125で支持されている。
 モータ2は、モータシャフト20と、モータシャフト20に外挿された円筒状のロータ21と、ロータ21の外周を間隔を空けて囲むステータ22と、ステータ22に設けられたコイル23と、を有する。
 モータシャフト20の、ロータ21を挟んだ回転軸X方向における一方側と他方側に、ベアリングBm、Bmが外挿されている。モータシャフト20は、ベアリングBm、Bmを介して、モータケース10で回転可能に支持されている。
 ロータ21は、複数の珪素鋼板を積層して形成したものであり、珪素鋼板の各々は、モータシャフト20との相対回転が規制された状態で、モータシャフト20に外挿されている。モータシャフト20の回転軸X方向から見て、珪素鋼板はリング状を成しており、珪素鋼板の外周側では、図示しないN極とS極の磁石が、回転軸X周りの周方向に交互に設けられている。
 ロータ21の外周を囲むステータ22は、複数の電磁鋼板を積層して形成したものであり、ケース部材11の支持壁部111の内周に固定されている。
 ステータ22は、支持壁部111の内周に固定されたリング状のヨーク部221と、ヨーク部221の内周からロータ21側に突出するティース部222と、を有する。コイル23は、複数のティース部222に跨がって設けられている。
 モータシャフト20は、回転軸X方向において動力伝達機構室Sb側まで及んでいる。動力伝達機構室Sb内において、モータシャフト20の外周には、動力伝達機構3の入力ギア31がスプライン嵌合している。入力ギア31には動力伝達機構3のカウンタギア32が噛合している。これにより、モータシャフト20の回転が、入力ギア31からカウンタギア32に伝達されるようになっている。
 ケース部材11の支持壁部111の上部には、インバータ4が設けられている。
 インバータ4は、平滑コンデンサ、パワー半導体素子、ドライバ基板等を備えた本体部40と、本体部40から延びる配線41とを有する。配線41の接続端子は、端子台Tに接続されている。端子台Tは、後記するケース部材11の支持部16で支持されている。
 端子台Tには、モータ2側からバスバーBsが接続されている。バスバーBsは、端子台Tを介してインバータ4とモータ2のコイル23とを電気的に接続する。バスバーBsを介してインバータ4からモータ2のコイル23に電力が供給されると、ステータ22の周りに磁界が発生する。これにより、ロータ21とモータシャフト20とが、回転軸X回りに回転するようになっている。
 図1に示すように、ハウジングHS内には、モータ2の冷却及び動力伝達機構3の噛合部の潤滑のためのオイルOLが貯留されている。モータ2のロータ21と動力伝達機構3の回転によって、オイルOLが掻き上げられて飛散すると、ハウジングHS内の気圧が上昇することがある。そのため、ハウジングHSには、上昇した気圧を解放するための呼吸部5が設けられている。
 図1に示すように、ケース部材11は、支持壁部111の他端111b側の上部を覆う屋根部15を有する。呼吸部5は、屋根部15に設けられている。
 図2に示すように、屋根部15は、支持壁部111の一端111aと他端111bの間から上側に分岐して、他端111b側に延びている。回転軸X方向における屋根部15の端面15aには、カバー部材12がボルト(図示せず)で連結されている。
 図3に示すように、回転軸X方向から見て、屋根部15は、ケース部材11のうち、回転軸Xを通る水平線HLよりも上側、かつ、回転軸Xを通る鉛直線VLの一方側(図中、左側)に設けられている。
 図2に示すように、屋根部15は階段状に形成されている。屋根部15は、具体的には支持壁部111を覆う周壁151と、周壁151と支持部111とを接続する底壁152と、を有する。底壁152は、回転軸X方向における周壁151のカバー部材12と反対側の端部と、支持壁部111と、を接続する。
 また、屋根部15は、底壁152における支持壁部111との接続部に、回転軸X方向においてカバー部材12から離れる向きに膨出する膨出壁153を有する。
 底壁152は、回転軸Xに直交する向きに設けられている。底壁152には、回転軸X方向に貫通する貫通孔152aと、貫通孔152aを囲む筒状の支持部16が設けられている。支持部16は、底壁152のカバー部材12側の面152bから回転軸X方向に延びている。貫通孔152aには、前記した端子台Tが挿入されている。これにより、端子台Tは、支持部16で支持されるようになっている。
 また、底壁152には、支持部16の下側を回転軸X方向に延びるリブ17が設けられている。リブ17は、底壁152の面152bと、支持部16の下面162とに跨って設けられている。
 回転軸X方向におけるリブ17の先端面171は、支持部16の先端面161よりも底壁152側にオフセットしている。リブ17の先端面171は、支持壁部111の他端111bと回転軸X方向において同じ位置に設けられている。すなわち、先端面171と他端111bは面一に設けられている。
 図3に示すように、回転軸X方向から見て、リブ17は、水平線HLに平行な直線La向きに設けられている。直線La方向におけるリブ17の両端には、接続壁18、19がそれぞれ接続されている。接続壁18、19は、リブ17から下側に延びており、支持壁部111に接続されている。接続壁18、19の先端面は、リブ17の先端面171及び支持壁部111の他端111bと回転軸X方向において同じ位置に設けられ、面一になっている(図2参照)。
 これにより、回転軸X方向から見て、モータ収容室Saには、リブ17、接続壁18、19、及び支持壁部111で囲まれた空間が形成される。これらリブ17、接続壁18、19、及び支持壁部111で囲まれた空間には、呼吸部5が連通している。そのため、モータ収容室Saのうち、リブ17、接続壁18、19、及び支持壁部111で囲まれた空間が、ブリーザ室7を構成する。
 図2に示すように、ブリーザ室7は、リブ17、支持壁部111、及び接続壁18、19(図3参照)の先端面に開口した入口部7a(ブリーザ室入口)を有する。ブリーザ室7の入口部7aは、モータ収容室Saに位置していると共に、回転軸X方向におけるカバー部材12側(軸方向の他端側)に向けられている。
 ここで、モータ2の回転と動力伝達機構3の回転によるオイルOLの飛散量は、モータ2の方が少ない。ブリーザ室7の入口部7aは、モータ収容室Sa内に設けられ、さらに、回転軸X方向におけるカバー部材12側に向けられている。これによって、例えばブリーザ室7の入口部7aを動力伝達機構室Sb(図1参照)側に設ける場合よりも、ブリーザ室7に侵入するオイルOLの量を低減できる。
 ブリーザ室7は、上下方向におけるリブ17と支持壁部111との間の第1室71と、膨出壁153と支持壁部111との間の第2室72とから構成される。第1室71と第2室72は、回転軸X方向で連通している。
 呼吸部5は、屋根部15の膨出壁153に設けられている。
 呼吸部5は、本体部50と、本体部50に接続されたブリーザパイプ51と、ブリーザパイプ51が貫通する膨出壁153の貫通孔153aと、を有する。
 呼吸部5において、ブリーザパイプ51は、膨出壁153の上側から貫通孔153aを貫通して設けられている。ブリーザパイプ51の開口51aは、ブリーザ室7の第2室72内に露出している。
 なお、呼吸部5は、ブリーザパイプ51を有さなくても良く、例えば、ハウジングHSに形成された呼吸孔から構成されていても良い。また、呼吸部5は、例えば、ハウジングHSに形成された呼吸孔と、当該呼吸孔に設けられたフィルタと、から構成されていても良い。呼吸孔には、例えばハウジングHSに形成した貫通孔153aを用いることができる。
 図2に示すように、ブリーザ室7の第2室72には、ドレン孔8(オイル戻し口)が開口している。ドレン孔8は、支持壁部111を上下方向に貫通する貫通孔である。ドレン孔8は、上側でブリーザパイプ51及び貫通孔153aと間隔を空けて対向し、下側でステータ22の外周面22aと隙間CLを空けて対向している。
 前記したとおり、モータ2の回転と動力伝達機構3の回転によるオイルOLの飛散量は、モータ2の方が少ない。そのため、ドレン孔8をモータ収容室Sa内に設けることで、例えばドレン孔8を動力伝達機構室Sb(図1参照)側に設ける場合よりも、飛散したオイルOLがドレン孔8を逆流してブリーザ室7に侵入する量を低減できる。
 また、飛散したオイルOLは、非回転部材であるステータ22が遮蔽物となることで、ステータ22の外周側への移動が規制される。そこで、ドレン孔8をステータ22の外周面22aに対向した位置に設けることにより、飛散したオイルOLがドレン孔8に到達し難くなっている。これにより、飛散したオイルOLがドレン孔8を逆流してブリーザ室7へ侵入し難くなっている。
 ドレン孔8の下端には、オイル溝9が連絡している。オイル溝9は、支持壁部111の内周面111cを上側に窪ませて形成したものである。支持壁部111の内周面111cとステータ22の外周面22aとの隙間CLは、オイル溝9が形成された領域において、回転軸Xの径方向に局所的に拡大している。
 図4に示すように、オイル溝9は、支持壁部111の内周面111cに沿って設けられている。オイル溝9は、回転軸Xを通る水平線HLを上側から下側に横切る範囲に設けられている。オイル溝9は、上側の端部でドレン孔8を介してブリーザ室7と連通している。
 ブリーザ室7内に侵入したオイルOLは、ドレン孔8からオイル溝9を通って下側に移動し、最終的にモータ収容室Saの下部のオイル溜りOTに戻される。
 回転軸X方向から見て、ケース部材11の支持壁部111には、水平線HL方向から見てオイル溜りOTとオーバーラップする領域に、排出油路118が設けられている。排出油路118は、ストレーナSRを介してオイルポンプOPに接続されている。
 そのため、オイル溜りOTを構成するオイルOLは、排出油路118を介してオイルポンプOPで吸引される。オイルOLは、排出油路118からオイルポンプOPへ移動する際に、ストレーナSRで濾過される。
 オイルポンプOPには、吸引したオイルOLを送る油路119の一端が接続されている。油路119の他端は、ケース部材11に設けられた油孔Paに接続されている。
 油路119における一端と他端の間には、オイルフィルタF及びオイルクーラOCが介在している。そのため、オイルポンプOPで吸引されたオイルOLは、オイルフィルタF、オイルクーラOCを通ることで濾過、冷却されたのち、油孔Paに供給される。
 なお、油路119は、ケース部材11の内部に形成されたケース内油路であっても良いし、ケース部材11の外側に取り回された配管としても良い。また、油路119は、これらケース内油路と配管とを組み合わせたものであってもよい。
 図3に示すように、油孔Paは、ブリーザ室7を形成する壁部のうち、接続壁18と支持壁部111との接続部に設けられている。油孔Paには、内部に油路を有するオイル供給部材6(図中、仮想線参照)が接続されている。オイルポンプOP(図4参照)から油孔Paに供給されたオイルOLは、オイル供給部材6の油路を通って、所定の冷却領域へ送られるようになっている。

 図5に示すように、オイル供給部材6は、互いに平行な直線Lm1、Lm2に沿う向きに設けられた第1筒部61、第2筒部62と、第1筒部61と第2筒部62の端部同士を接続する第3筒部63と、を有する。第3筒部63は、直線Lm1、Lm2に直交する直線Lnに沿う向きに設けられている。これら第1筒部61、第2筒部62及び第3筒部63は、一体に形成されている。
 第1筒部61、第2筒部62および第3筒部63は、それぞれ内部が中空となっている。
 図6に示すように、第1筒部61の中空部610は、直線Lm1方向における第1筒部61の端面61aに開口している。第2筒部62の中空部620は、直線Lm2方向における第2筒部62の端面62aに開口している。
 図7に示すように、第1筒部61の中空部610は、直線Lm1方向に沿う向きに延びて、第3筒部63の中空部630に連絡している。第2筒部62の中空部620は、直線Lm2方向に沿う向きに延びて、第3筒部63の中空部630に連絡している。
 これら中空部610、620、630は、オイル供給部材6の内部に形成された一本の油路を形成している。
 第2筒部62には、中空部620と外部とを連通する油孔621、622が設けられている。油孔621、622は、直線Lm2方向における第3筒部63側と端面62a側に、それぞれ設けられている。
 図7に示すように、第3筒部63の中空部630は、直線Ln方向における一端630aで第1筒部61の中空部610に連絡し、他端630bで第2筒部62の中空部620に連絡している。
 図8に示すように、第3筒部63は、直線Lnに直交する断面視において矩形形状を成している。第3筒部63では、直線Lm2方向における中空部630を挟んだ一方側の側面63aと他方側の側面63bが、互いに平行に設けられている。また、第3筒部63では、一方側の側面63aと他方側の側面63bの端部同士を接続する上面63cと下面63dが互いに平行に設けられている。
 一方側の側面63aと他方側の側面63bは、直線Lm2に直交する平坦面である。上面63cと下面63dは、直線Lm2に沿う平坦面である。
 図7に示すように、第3筒部63には、中空部630と外部とを連通する油孔635が設けられている。油孔635は、直線Ln方向における第2筒部62側に設けられている。図8に示すように、油孔635は、他方側の側面63bに開口している。油孔635は、中空部630から離れるほど下面63dに近づく向きに傾斜している。
 図5に示すように、オイル供給部材6の第3筒部63には、蓋部64が設けられている。蓋部64は、第3筒部63と一体に形成されている。蓋部64は、第3筒部63の上面63cから上側に突出している。蓋部64は、直線Lm1、Lm2に平行な直線Lm4に直交する方向に延在する板状を成している。蓋部64は、直線Ln方向において、第1筒部61と油孔635の間の領域に設けられている。蓋部64には、直線Lm4が通る位置に、貫通孔640が形成されている。
 図6に示すように、蓋部64は、直線Lm4における一方側の裏面64aと他方側の表面64bと、を有する。裏面64aは、第3筒部63の一方側の側面63aと面一である。裏面64aと表面64bは、それぞれ直線Lm4に直交する平坦面である。裏面64aおよび表面64bは、直線Lm4方向から見た場合に略矩形を成している。
 また、図5に示すように、蓋部64は、直線Lm4方向に厚みを有しており、裏面64aと表面64bとの間には、側面64c、64d、64eが形成されている。
 側面64cは、直線Ln方向における第1筒部61側で、裏面64aと表面64bとを接続する。側面64dは、直線Ln方向における第2筒部62側で、裏面64aと表面64bとを接続する。また、側面64eは、裏面64a、表面64b、及び側面64c、64dを接続する。
 図6に示すように、蓋部64には、当該蓋部64を一部切欠いて形成した溝66が設けられている。溝66は、蓋部64の裏面64aと側面64dとに跨って設けられている。溝66は、蓋部64の側面64dに開口する第1の開口661と、裏面64aに開口する第2の開口662と、を有する。溝66は、蓋部64に設けられた開口部を構成する。
 溝66の溝長さL66は、前記した接続壁19の厚みT19(図3参照)よりも長く設定されている(L66>T19)。
 図5に示すように、蓋部64を表面64b側から見たとき、溝66は、露出しないようになっている。
 図5に示すように、第2筒部62と第3筒部63との接続部には、接続片65が設けられている。接続片65は、直線Ln方向において、第3筒部63から離れる向きに突出している。接続片65には、貫通孔650が形成されている。貫通孔650は、直線Lm2に平行な直線Lm3に沿う向きに設けられている。
 図5に示すように、オイル供給部材6では、蓋部64の貫通孔640と、接続片65の貫通孔650に、それぞれボルトB1、B2が挿入される。ボルトB1、B2は、ケース部材11に設けられたボルト穴Ba、Bb(図3参照)に螺入される。
 ここで、図3に示すように、回転軸X方向から見て、ボルト穴Baは、ブリーザ室7を形成する壁部のうち、接続壁19と支持壁部111との接続部に設けられている。ボルト穴Bbは、回転軸Xを通る鉛直線VLを挟んで、ボルト穴Baと反対側に設けられている。
 また、ケース部材11には、ブリーザ室7を形成する壁部に、座ぐり部152cが設けられている。座ぐり部152cは、接続壁18と支持壁部111との接続部を紙面奥側に窪ませて形成されている。座ぐり部152cは、油孔Paを囲むように設けられている。また、ケース部材11には、回転軸Xを通る鉛直線VL上に設けられた支持穴152dが設けられている。
 図7に示すように、オイル供給部材6は、第1筒部61が座ぐり部152cに挿入され、第2筒部62が支持穴152dに挿入される。これにより、第1筒部61の直線Lm1と第2筒部62の直線Lm2が、回転軸Xに沿う向きに配置される。第3筒部63の直線Lnは、回転軸Xの径方向に沿う向きに配置される。この状態において、第3筒部63は、ブリーザ室7を回転軸Xの径方向(図中、上下方向)に横切るように設けられる。
 この状態において、接続片65の貫通孔650とボルト穴Bbとが、直線Lm3上で同軸に配置される。また、図示は省略するが、蓋部64の貫通孔640(図5参照)とボルト穴Ba(図3参照)とが、直線Lm4(図5参照)上で同軸に配置される。ボルトB1、B2をそれぞれボルト穴Ba、Bbに螺入して締め込むことで、オイル供給部材6がケース部材11に固定される(図10参照)。
 これにより、ケース部材11の油孔Paと、オイル供給部材6の第1筒部61の中空部610と、第3筒部63の中空部630と、第2筒部62の中空部620とが連通する。そのため、オイルポンプOPから油孔Paへ供給されたオイルOLは、第1筒部61の中空部610から、第3筒部63の中空部630を通って、第2筒部62の中空部620に送られる。
 図8に示すように、第3筒部63には、油孔635が設けられている。そのため、第3筒部63の中空部630を通るオイルOLの一部は、油孔635からオイル供給部材6の外部に排出される。
 図10に示すように、油孔635から排出されたオイルOLは、自重により落下する。落下したオイルOLは、オイル供給部材6の下方に位置するモータ支持部125に支持されたベアリングBm(図1参照)を潤滑する。
 図9に示すように、オイル供給部材6をケース部材11に取り付けると、第2筒部62は、回転軸X方向において、モータ2のステータ22を他方側から一方側へ横切る範囲に配置される。
 この状態において、第2筒部62の油孔621は、回転軸X方向における他方側において、ステータ22の外周面22aと間隔を空けて対向する。第2筒部62の油孔622は、回転軸X方向における一方側において、ステータ22の外周面22aと間隔を空けて対向する。
 また、ケース部材11には、支持穴152dと支持壁部111の内周面111cとの間を一部切欠いて形成したスリット111dが設けられている。スリット111dは、回転軸X方向における一方側において、コイル23のコイルエンド23aと間隔を空けて対向する。
 第2筒部62の中空部620を流れるオイルOLの一部は、油孔621から噴射されてステータ22に到達する。ステータ22に到達したオイルOLは自重により落下してコイルエンド23bに到達する。オイルOLとの熱交換によって、ステータ22とコイルエンド23bが冷却される。
 また、第2筒部62の中空部620を流れるオイルOLの一部は、油孔621を越えて油孔622から噴射されてステータ22に到達する。オイルOLとの熱交換によって、ステータ22が冷却される。
 なお、本実施形態では、油孔622の開口面積を、油孔621の開口面積よりも大きくしている。油孔621よりも下流側に位置する油孔622は、圧力損失により噴射されるオイルOLの量が減少し易い。そこで、油孔622の開口面積を油孔621の開口面積よりも大きくすることで、油孔622から噴射されるオイルOLの量が減少することを低減している。
 図9に示すように、回転軸Xの径方向から見て、支持壁部111の内周面111cには、上下方向で油孔622と対向する位置に、オイル溝117が設けられている。
 図4に示すように、オイル溝117は、支持壁部111の内周面111cに沿って設けられ、回転軸X方向から見て円弧状を成している。オイル溝117は、ステータ22の外周面22aに対して、回転軸Xの径方向外側において、間隔を空けて対向している。オイル溝117は、回転軸X周りの周方向において、回転軸Xを通る水平線HLを上側から下側に横切る範囲に設けられている。オイル溝117の上端は、オイル供給部材6の近傍に設けられており、下端は前記した排出油路118の近傍に設けられている。
 図9に示すように、第2筒部62の油孔622から噴射されたオイルOLの一部は、オイル溝117に流入する。オイル溝117に流入したオイルOLは、ステータ22の外周面22aに接触しながら下側に落下する(図4参照)。オイルOLとの熱交換によって、ステータ22が冷却される。オイル溝117を通るオイルOLは、最終的にモータ収容室Saのオイル溜りOTに戻される。
 また、第2筒部62の中空部620を流れるオイルOLの一部は、油孔621、622を越えて端面62a側に到達する。端面62aに到達したオイルOLは、自重によりスリット111dを通過して、コイルエンド23aに到達する。オイルOLとの熱交換によって、コイルエンド23aが冷却される。
 図10に示すように、オイル供給部材6の第3筒部63には、蓋部64が設けられている。オイル供給部材6をケース部材11に取り付けると、回転軸X方向から見て、蓋部64が、ブリーザ室7(図中、破線参照)と重なる位置に配置される。
 具体的には、蓋部64は、側面64e側の領域が、リブ17と重なる。側面64c側の領域が、接続壁18と重なる。側面64d側の領域が、接続壁19と重なる。また、第3筒部63が、支持壁部111と重なる。
 図12に示すように、オイル供給部材6は、蓋部64の裏面64aが、リブ17の先端面171に回転軸X方向から当接し、第3筒部63の一方側の側面63aが支持壁部111の他端111bに回転軸X方向から当接している。なお、図示は省略するが、蓋部64の裏面64aは、接続壁18、19(図10参照)の先端面にも回転軸X方向から当接している。
 これにより、ブリーザ室7の入口部7aは、オイル供給部材6の蓋部64によって全面に亘って塞がれている。
 また、図12に示すように、上下方向において、蓋部64の側面64eは、前記した端子台Tの支持部16とオーバーラップして設けられている。
 ここで、図6に示すように、蓋部64には、裏面64aと側面64dとに跨る溝66が形成されている。前記したとおり、溝66の溝長さL66は、接続壁19の厚みT19(図3参照)よりも長く設定されている(L66>T19)。
 そのため、図10に示すように、回転軸X方向から見て、蓋部64でブリーザ室7を塞ぐと、溝66は、蓋部64における接続壁19と重なる部分に位置すると共に、一部がブリーザ室7内に及ぶようになっている。この状態において、ドレン孔8は、溝66よりも下側に位置するようになっている(図12参照)。
 図11に示すように、溝66は、側面64dに開口する第1の開口661が、回転軸Xと交差する方向を向いている。第1の開口661は、モータ収容室Saに面している。また、図12に示すように、裏面64aに開口する第2の開口662が、回転軸X方向を向いている。第2の開口662は、ブリーザ室7に面している。これにより、ブリーザ室7は、入口部7aが蓋部64で塞がれた状態であっても、溝66を介してモータ収容室Saとの連通が維持される。
 図13は、比較例に係るユニット100を説明する図である。図13では、蓋部64を有さないオイル供給部材600を例示している。
 図13に示すように、ケース部材11の内部は、モータ2の回転によってオイルOLが飛散することで気圧が上昇する。上昇した気圧は呼吸部5を介して解放される。そのため、ケース部材11の内部には、モータ収容室Sa側からブリーザ室7側に向かう空気Airの流れが発生する。ブリーザ室7の入口部7aは、回転軸X方向に開口しているため、ブリーザ室7に向かう空気Airの流れは、回転軸Xに沿う方向となる。この空気Airの流れに乗って、飛散したオイルOLもまた回転軸X方向に沿ってブリーザ室7側に移動する。
 図13に示すように、例えば蓋部64を備えないオイル供給部材600を有するユニット100の場合、回転軸X方向におけるブリーザ室7に向かう空気Airの流れに乗って、ブリーザ室7に多くのオイルOLが侵入する。
 ブリーザ室7に侵入したオイルOLは、呼吸部5の通気機能に影響を及ぼす可能性がある。例えば、ブリーザ室7に侵入したオイルOLは、車両の旋回時の遠心力等によって、回転軸X方向の一方側に偏ることで、呼吸部5のブリーザパイプ51の開口51a及び貫通孔153aを塞ぐ可能性がある(図中、仮想線参照)。この場合、呼吸部5は、通気機能が適切に発揮されない状態になる可能性がある。
 これに対して、本実施形態では、図12に示すように、オイル供給部材6に蓋部64を設けている。蓋部64は、ブリーザ室7の入口部7aを塞いでいる。図6に示すように、蓋部64には、裏面64aと側面64dとに跨る溝66が設けられている。
 そして、図11に示すように、蓋部64でブリーザ室7を塞いだ際に、溝66の第1の開口661が、回転軸Xと交差する方向を向き、第2の開口662が、回転軸X方向に向くようになっている。これにより、ブリーザ室7は、溝66を介してモータ収容室Saと連通している。溝66を通る空気は、第1の開口661側から第2の開口662側へと流れるようになっている。
 ここで、掻き上げられて飛散したオイルOLは、空気よりも重いため、空気よりも移動方向を急激に変化させることが難しい。
 そのため、溝66において、ブリーザ室7への入口となる第1の開口661を、回転軸Xと交差する方向に向けることで、回転軸X方向に移動するオイルOLが、第1の開口661を通る向きに変化する前に、蓋部64の表面64b、支持部16または底壁152等に衝突する(図12参照)。
 これにより、蓋部64は、ブリーザ室7へ空気Airを通流させつつ、オイルOLの侵入を低減できる。
 また、図12に示すように、上下方向から見て、蓋部64の側面64eは、端子台Tの支持部16とオーバーラップして設けられている。これにより、支持部16が遮蔽物となって、屋根部15の周壁151から滴下するオイルOLが、蓋部64とリブ17との間を通ってブリーザ室7に侵入することを低減している。
 また、本実施形態では、ブリーザ室7において、上下方向で呼吸部5と対向する位置に、ドレン孔8とオイル溝9を設けている。
 ここで、ステータ22の外周面22aと、支持壁部111の内周面111cとの隙間CLは狭い。そのため、ドレン孔8から排出されたオイルOLは、例えば表面張力等により、隙間CLに滞留することがある。そうすると、ドレン孔8からオイル溜りOT(図4参照)へ戻るオイル戻り速度が減少する可能性がある。
 そこで、支持壁部111の内周面111cにオイル溝9を形成し、当該オイル溝9をドレン孔8に連絡することで、ドレン孔8周りの領域における隙間CLを拡大させている。
 これにより、ドレン孔8から排出されたオイルOLは、隙間CLで滞留することが抑制されて、スムーズにオイル溜りOTへ戻ることができる。
 このように、本実施形態では、飛散したオイルOLの一部が、溝66の第1の開口661(図11参照)を通ってブリーザ室7に侵入したとしても、ドレン孔8とオイル溝9から速やかにブリーザ室7外に排出される。これにより、車両の旋回時などにおいても、呼吸部5の機能が維持される。
 また、本実施形態では、蓋部64をオイル供給部材6と一体に形成したものを例示したが、この態様に限定されない。例えば蓋部64は、オイル供給部材6とは別体に形成しても良い。なお、蓋部64をオイル供給部材6と一体とした方が、別体とするよりも蓋部64をケース部材11へ固定するボルト等が不要になるため、部品点数の削減、組付け工程を削減できる点で好ましい。
 以下、本発明のある態様におけるユニット1の例を列挙する。
(1)ユニット1は、モータ2が収容されるモータ収容室Saと、動力伝達機構3が収容される動力伝達機構室Sbと、を有するハウジングHSを有する。
 ハウジングHSは、呼吸部5と連通するブリーザ室7を有する。
 ブリーザ室7は、モータ収容室Sa内に、入口部7a(ブリーザ室入口)と、ドレン孔8(オイル戻し口)と、を有する。
 ドレン孔8は、モータ2のステータ22の外周面22aに対向する位置に配置されている。
 オイルOLの飛散量は、動力伝達機構室Sb内よりもモータ収容室Sa内の方が少ない。そこで、上記のように構成して、モータ収容室Sa内にブリーザ室7の入口部7aとドレン孔8を設けることにより、ブリーザ室7の入口部7a及びドレン孔8からのオイルOLの侵入量を減少させることができる。
 また、非回転部材であるステータ22が遮蔽物となることで、飛散したオイルOLは、ステータ22の外周側への移動が規制される。そこで、ステータ22の外周面22aに対向した位置にドレン孔8を設けることにより、飛散したオイルOLがドレン孔8に到達し難くなっている。
 これにより、ドレン孔8を逆流してブリーザ室7へ侵入するオイルOLの量(逆流量)をより減少させることができる。
(2)動力伝達機構室Sbは、モータ2の回転軸X方向の一端側に配置されている。
 ブリーザ室7の入口部7aは、モータ2の回転軸X方向の他端側に配置されている。
 このように構成して、オイルOLの飛散量の多い動力伝達機構室Sbと離れた側にブリーザ室7の入口部7aを向けることにより、ブリーザ室7へのオイルOLの侵入量を減少させることができる。
 なお、図2に示すように、ドレン孔8の位置の観点からすると、空きスペースの多いモータ2の端部(コイルエンド23b)近辺と比較して、モータ2のステータ22と、ハウジングHSの支持壁部111との間は、より狭い隙間CL(図2参照)となっており、空きスペースが少ない。
 そのため、空きスペースの少ないステータ22とハウジングHSの支持壁部111との間の領域には、飛散したオイルOLは侵入しにくい。
 そこで、ドレン孔8をブリーザ室7の入口部7aよりも空きスペースの少ない領域に配置したことにより、飛散したオイルOLはドレン孔8へ逆流し難くなっており、ドレン孔8からブリーザ室7へのオイルOLの逆流量を減少させることができる、という見方もできる。
(3)ブリーザ室7の入口部7aは、蓋部64により覆われている。
 蓋部64には、側面64dと裏面64aに開口する溝66(開口部)が設けられている。
 溝66の第1の開口661は、蓋部64の側面64dに開口している。溝66の第2の開口662は、蓋部64の裏面64aに開口している。
 ブリーザ室7は、溝66を介して、モータ収容室Saと連通している。
 このように構成して、蓋部64に溝66を形成することにより、ブリーザ室7の入口となる領域の面積を制限できる。これにより、ブリーザ室7へのオイルOLの侵入量を減少させることができる。
(4)ドレン孔8は、溝66よりも低い位置に配置されている。
 このように構成すると、重力を利用してブリーザ室7に溜まったオイルOLを効率的に排出できる。
(5)ステータ22へオイルOLの供給を行うオイル供給部材6を有する。
 蓋部64は、オイル供給部材6と一体に形成されている。
 例えば蓋部64をオイル供給部材6と別体とする場合、蓋部64を固定するための固定具(例えば、ボルト等)を別途用いることとなるため、部品点数及び組み立て工数が増加する。
 そこで、上記ように構成して、蓋部64をオイル供給部材6と一体とすることで、部品点数及び組み立て工数の削減に寄与できる。
(6)ハウジングHSは、モータ2を収容するケース部材11を有する。
 ケース部材11は、ステータ22の外周面22aと対向する支持壁部111を有する。
 支持壁部111の内周面111c(内壁面)には、ドレン孔8と連通し、ドレン孔8から重力方向下方に向かって延びるオイル溝9が形成されている。
 図2に示すように、ステータ22の外周面22aと、支持壁部111の内周面
111cとの隙間CLは狭い。そのため、ドレン孔8から排出されたオイルOLは、例えば表面張力等により、隙間CLに滞留することがある。そうすると、ドレン孔8からオイル溜りOT(図4参照)へ戻るオイル戻り速度が減少する可能性がある。
 そこで、上記のように構成して、支持壁部111の内周面111cにオイル溝9を形成することにより、支持壁部111の内周面111cとの隙間CLを拡大させることができる。これにより、ドレン孔8から排出されたオイルOLは、隙間CLで滞留することが抑制されて、スムーズにモータ収容室Sa内のオイル溜りOTへ戻ることができる。
(変形例)
 図14は、変形例に係る蓋部64Aを説明する図である。
 上記実施形態では、図6に示すように、ブリーザ室7への入口として、溝66の第1の開口661を蓋部64の側面64dに設けたものを例示した。しかしながら、この態様に限定されない。例えば、図14に示すように、第1の開口661が蓋部64Aの側面64cに開口し、第2の開口662が裏面64aに開口する溝66Aとしても良い。また、図示は省略するが、蓋部64に、溝66(図6参照)と、溝66A(図14参照)の2つの溝を設けてもよい。
 以上、本発明の実施形態について説明したが、上記実施形態は本発明の適用例の一つを示したものに過ぎず、本発明の技術的範囲を上記実施形態の具体的構成に限定する趣旨ではない。発明の技術的な思想の範囲内で、適宜変更可能である。

Claims (6)

  1.  モータが収容されるモータ収容室と、動力伝達機構が収容される動力伝達機構室と、を有するハウジングを有し、
     前記ハウジングは、呼吸部と連通するブリーザ室を有し、
     前記ブリーザ室は、前記モータ収容室内にブリーザ室入口とオイル戻し口とを有し、
     前記オイル戻し口は、前記モータのステータの外周面に対向する位置に配置されている、ユニット。
  2.  請求項1において、
     前記動力伝達機構室は、前記モータの軸方向一端側に配置されており、
     前記ブリーザ室入口は、前記モータの軸方向他端側に配置されている、ユニット。
  3.  請求項1において、
     前記ブリーザ室入口は、開口部を有する蓋部により覆われている、ユニット。
  4.  請求項3において、
     前記オイル戻し口は、前記蓋部の前記開口部よりも低い位置に配置されている、ユニット。
  5.  請求項3において、
     前記ステータへのオイル供給行うオイル供給部材を有し、
     前記蓋部は、前記オイル供給部材と一体に形成されている、ユニット。
  6.  請求項1において、
     前記ハウジングは、前記ステータの外周面と対向する内壁面に、前記オイル戻し口と連通し、前記オイル戻し口から重力方向下方に向かって延びるオイル溝が形成されている、ユニット。
