Definitions
- This disclosure relates to ships.
- Patent Document 1 proposes that steering target lights be constructed using optical fiber or the like, since steering target lights are installed at a high altitude and maintenance work is difficult.
- the present disclosure therefore aims to provide a ship that makes it easy to perform maintenance on high-altitude lights installed at high altitudes.
- a vessel according to one aspect of the present disclosure facilitates maintenance work on high-altitude lights.
- FIG. 1 is a side view of a vessel.
- FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the high-altitude light holding equipment.
- FIG. 1 is a side view of the ship 100.
- the propulsion direction of the ship 100 (to the right on the paper in FIG. 1 ) will be referred to as the "forward" direction
- the direction opposite to the propulsion direction of the ship 100 (to the left on the paper in FIG. 1 ) will be referred to as the "aft" direction.
- the ship 100 according to this embodiment is a liquefied gas carrier that transports liquefied gas such as liquefied hydrogen or liquefied natural gas.
- the ship 100 is not limited to a liquefied gas carrier.
- the watercraft 100 comprises a hull 10, a high-altitude light 30, and a high-altitude light holding device 50. These components will be described in order below.
- the work scaffold 52 is a scaffolding on which workers perform maintenance work such as replacing the high-altitude light 30.
- the work scaffold 52 has a flat upper surface and is located at the top of the base mast 51. In this embodiment, the work scaffold 52 is located at the top of the base mast 51, but the work scaffold 52 may also be located below the top of the base mast 51. For example, when the area of the base mast 51 is divided into three equal parts in the vertical direction, the work scaffold 52 may be located in the uppermost area.
- the movable post 53 is a rod-shaped member, and its cross-sectional area is constant regardless of its vertical position. Furthermore, the movable post 53 is thinner than the base mast 51. In other words, the cross-sectional area of the movable post 53 is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the smallest part of the base mast 51. Furthermore, the movable post 53 has a smaller weight per unit length in the axial direction than the base mast 51. In other words, the movable post 53 is lighter than the base mast 51. Furthermore, the movable post 53 may be made of a material with a lower specific gravity than the base mast 51.
- the high-altitude light holding equipment 50 of this embodiment does not increase the height of the mast and install the high-altitude light 30 on the mast, but rather combines the base mast 51 with a movable post 53 and installs the high-altitude light 30 on the movable post 53.
- This allows the height of the base mast 51 to be reduced, and the base mast 51 does not require excessive strength.
- the high-altitude light holding equipment 50 can be made lighter and manufacturing costs can be reduced.
- the movable post 53 is thinner than the base mast 51 and the position of the work scaffolding 52 is also lower, the movable post 53 and work scaffolding 52 do not obstruct the operator's view.
- the movable post 53 in this embodiment is movable in the vertical direction relative to the work scaffold 52.
- the portion of the movable post 53 that holds the high-altitude light 30 is movable in the vertical direction relative to the work scaffold 52. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2(b), when performing maintenance on the high-altitude light 30, the movable post 53 can be moved downward to position the high-altitude light 30 near the work scaffold 52. This allows workers to perform maintenance on the high-altitude light 30 from the work scaffold 52, thereby facilitating maintenance work on the high-altitude light 30.
- the movable post 53 is not limited to being movable in the vertical direction relative to the work scaffold 52; for example, it may be a retractable type that can be tilted using the work scaffold 52 as a fulcrum, or a telescopic type that can be extended and retracted in the vertical direction. Even with this type of movable post 53, the portion that holds the high-altitude light 30 can be moved in the vertical direction relative to the work scaffold 52.
- the central axis 56 of the movable post 53 is located at a different horizontal position from the central axis 57 of the base mast 51.
- the movable post 53 and the base mast 51 are not located on the same axis. If the horizontal positions of the central axis 56 of the movable post 53 and the central axis 57 of the base mast 51 were the same, it would be necessary to form the base mast 51 so that the movable post 53 could be inserted therein, which would complicate the structure of the high altitude light holding equipment 50. Therefore, according to this embodiment, the structure of the high altitude light holding equipment 50 can be simplified. However, when viewed from the front, the central axis 56 of the movable post 53 and the central axis 57 of the base mast 51 may also be the same.
- the axial dimension (length) of the movable post 53 is not limited. However, if the axial dimension of the movable post 53 is 30% or more of the axial dimension of the base mast 51, the movable post 53 can hold the high-altitude light 30 at a sufficiently high position. Furthermore, if the axial dimension of the movable post 53 is 80% or less of the axial dimension of the base mast 51, a movable post 53 can be formed that is not excessively heavy.
- the drive device 54 is a device that drives the movable post 53 in the vertical direction relative to the base mast 51.
- the drive device 54 may be an electric device including a motor. Since the high-altitude light holding equipment 50 of this embodiment includes the drive device 54, the burden on workers for maintenance work on the high-altitude lights 30 can be reduced. However, the high-altitude light holding equipment 50 does not include the drive device 54, and the movable post 53 may be moved in the vertical direction manually.
- the high-altitude light holding equipment 50 may be configured so that the height position of the high-altitude light 30 can be adjusted by remotely operating the drive unit 54 from the wheelhouse 16, etc.
- the high-altitude light holding equipment 50 may also include a control device that adjusts the height position of the high-altitude light 30.
- the control device may acquire the draft position of the hull 10 using a draft gauge installed on the hull 10, and adjust the height position of the high-altitude light 30 based on the acquired draft position so that the high-altitude light 30 is positioned on a straight line connecting the monitoring position of the wheelhouse 16 and the forward horizon.
- the first item disclosed in this specification is a vessel comprising a hull, a high-altitude light installed on the hull, and a high-altitude light holding equipment that holds the high-altitude light, the high-altitude light holding equipment including a base mast extending upward from the hull, a work scaffolding located on top of the base mast, and a movable post that holds the high-altitude light and whose portion that holds the high-altitude light is movable in the vertical direction relative to the work scaffolding.
- the movable post when performing maintenance on the high-altitude light, the movable post can be moved downward, allowing the worker to perform maintenance on the high-altitude light from the work scaffold, making maintenance work on the high-altitude light easier.
- the second item disclosed in this specification is the vessel described in the first item, in which the hull includes a wheelhouse where the operator steers the vessel, the high light is a steering target light, and the high light holding equipment is located forward of the wheelhouse and holds the high light at a position lower than the wheelhouse.
- This configuration makes it easy to perform maintenance work on the steering target light.
- the third item disclosed in this specification is the vessel described in the second item, in which the wheelhouse and the high-altitude light holding equipment are located in the bow area forward of the cargo area that accommodates cargo in the hull.
- the high-altitude light holding equipment that holds the high-altitude lights needs to be increased; however, as mentioned above, the high-altitude light holding equipment can be made to reduce the height of the base mast by combining a base mast and a movable post. This reduces the manufacturing costs of the high-altitude light holding equipment.
- the work platform is set up at a low position, high-altitude lights can be installed at a high position without obstructing the operator's view.
- the fourth item disclosed in this specification is a vessel described in any one of the first to third items, in which the base mast and the movable post have central axes whose horizontal positions are different from each other.
- This configuration simplifies the structure of the high-altitude light holding equipment, as there is no need to form a base mast so that the movable post can be inserted inside.
- the fifth item disclosed in this specification is a vessel described in any one of the first to fourth items, in which the high-altitude light holding equipment includes a drive device that drives the movable post in the vertical direction relative to the base mast.
- This configuration reduces the burden on workers performing maintenance work on high-altitude lights. It also makes it easy to adjust the height position of high-altitude lights.

Description

<船体>
