Description

이동체 충전장치 및 그 충전 제어방법
본 개시(disclosure)는 이동체를 충전하는 충전장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다.
전자 산업의 발전은 다양한 유형의 전자 장치들이 개발 및/또는 보급되고 있다. 상기 전자 장치에는 이동성을 요구하는 장치가 포함될 수 있다. 상기 이동성을 요구하는 전자 장치는, 예를 들어, 스마트 폰, 스마트 패드(태블릿), PDA와 같은 모바일 장치 외에 로봇 청소기와 같은 가전 제품이 포함될 수 있다.
상기 이동성이 요구되는 전자 장치는 구동에 필요한 전력을 공급하는 배터리를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 전자 장치에는, 예를 들어, 외부에서 공급되는 전류(이하 “충전 전류”라 칭함)에 의해 내부 전력을 차지하여 원 상태를 회복할 수 있는 충전 배터리가 사용될 수 있다. 이 경우, 상기 전자 장치는 필요시 충전장치와 접속하여 충전 배터리를 충전시킬 수 있어야 한다.
상기 충전 가능한 전자 장치는 충전 단자를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 충전 단자는 충전의 편의성을 고려하여 외부로 노출될 수 있다. 상기 외부로 노출되는 충전 단자는 도전 물질에 의해 단락이 발생할 수 있다.
본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른, 충전장치는, 전력 공급 회로와, 소정의 근거리 통신 방식을 기반으로 이동체와 통신하는 통신 회로와, 상기 이동체의 접속 단자와 실질적으로 맞닿아 충전 전류를 공급하도록 외부로 노출된 충전 단자를 포함하고, 상기 전력 공급 회로에 의해 공급되는 전력을 사용하여 상기 충전 전류를 출력하는 충전 회로와, 상기 충전 단자 주변에 자기장을 형성하고, 상기 자기장 내에서 객체의 움직임에 의한 내부 전류의 변화량을 검출하는 감지 회로와, 시각 정보 및/또는 청각 정보에 의한 알람을 출력하는 알람 회로 및 처리 회로를 포함하고, 상기 내부 전류의 변화량을 기초로 상기 객체의 접근을 안내하는 상기 알람을 출력하도록 상기 알람 회로를 제어하는 프로세서를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 객체는 상기 프로세서가 상기 통신 회로를 통해 위치를 식별할 수 있는 상기 이동체를 제외한 다른 도전체일 수 있다.
본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른, 충전장치에서 충전 단자의 손상을 방지하는 방법은, 상기 충전 단자의 입력 전압의 변화를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자의 단락 여부를 식별하는 동작과, 자기장 내에서 객체의 움직임에 따른 내부 전류 세기의 변화량을 기반으로 상기 충전 단자로 상기 객체의 접근을 식별하는 동작 및 상기 충전 단자의 단락 또는 상기 객체의 접근을 알리는 알람을 출력하는 동작을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 객체는 위치를 식별할 수 있는 상기 이동체가 아닌 다른 도전체일 수 있다.

본 개시의 다양한 실시예에 따르면, 이동체를 충전하기 위한 충전 장치가 상기 이동체가 아닌 객체에 의한 충전 단자의 단락 또는 상기 객체의 접근을 예측하고, 이를 근거로 상기 이동체의 충전을 제어함으로써, 시스템의 손상을 방지할 수 있다.
본 개시에서 이루고자 하는 기술적 과제는 앞에서 언급한 기술적 과제로 제한되지 않으며, 당해 기술분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의해 본 개시의 예시적 실시예로부터 앞에서 언급되지 않은 다른 기술적 과제들이 도출될 수 있다.

도 1a또는 도 1b를 참조하면, 충전 시스템(1)은 이동체(10) 또는 충전장치(20)를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 이동체(10)는 전기 구동력을 기반으로 자발적인 이동이 가능한 전자 장치일 수 있다. 상기 이동체(10)는, 예를 들면, 로봇 청소기일 수 있다. 상기 충전장치(20)는 상기 이동체(10)에서 소비될 전력을 충전하기 위한 전자 장치일 수 있다. 상기 충전장치(20)는 상기 로봇 청소기가 충전이 필요할 시에 안착할 수 있는 구조를 가질 수 있다.
상기 이동체(10)는 바닥면을 따라 이동하면서 바닥면을 청소할 수 있다. 상기 이동체(10)가 청소하는 바닥면은 피청소면이라고 할 수 있다. 상기 이동체(10)는 충전이 필요하거나, 집진통의 내부에 이물질이 가득차서 비워야 할 때, 상기 충전장치(20)에 도킹될 수 있다. 상기 충전장치(20)는 상기 이동체(10)가 안착될 수 있는 구조를 마련할 수 있다. 일 예로, 상기 충전장치(20)는 상기 이동체(10)가 안착되는 안착부를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 이동체(10)는 상기 충전장치(20)에 안착되어 상기 충전장치(20)에 의해 공급되는 충전 전류를 전달받기 위한 접속 단자(110)를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 충전장치(20)는 안착부에 안착된 상기 이동체(10)의 접속 단자(110)에 대면하도록 충전 단자(253)를 포함할 수 있다.
일 예에 따르면, 상기 충전장치(20)는 상기 이동체(10)에 내장된 배터리의 전력이 소모된 경우 배터리를 충전시키는 장치일 수 있다. 상기 충전장치(20)에 포함된 상기 충전 단자(253)는 상기 이동체(10)에 포함된 상기 접속 단자(110)와 같은 높이로 상기 충전장치(20)의 전면에 설치될 수 있다. 상기 충전장치(10)는 전원 코드에 의해 상용 전원(예: 110V 또는 220V)과 연결될 수 있다. 상기 충전 단자(253)는 상기 충전장치(20)가 사용하는 전원의 종류에 따라 형태가 결정될 수 있다. 일 예로, 가정에 주로 보급되는 상용 전원을 사용할 경우, 상기 충전장치(20)는 2개의 충전 단자를 포함할 수 있다.

상술한 구성으로, 접속 단자(110)가 충전 단자(253)에 접속되도록, 이동체(10)가 충전장치(20)에 접근하면, 상기 접속 단자(110)가 상기 충전 단자(253)에 접속되어 상기 이동체(10)에 구비된 배터리에 충전을 위한 전력이 공급될 수 있다.
상기 충전장치(20)에 마련된 충전 단자(253)는 외부로 노출되어 있을 경우, 도전 물질인 외부 객체(external object)(30)에 의해 단락이 발생할 수 있다. 상기 충전장치(20)는 상기 외부 객체(30)가 소정의 거리 이내로 접근하거나, 또는 상기 충전 단자(253)을 단락 시키는 지를 모니터링할 필요가 있다. 상기 충전장치(20)는, 상기 외부 객체(30)가 소정의 거리 이내로 접근하거나, 또는 충전 단자(253)를 단락 시키는 경우, 상기 이동체(10)에 대한 충전 시도를 제한할 필요가 있다.

상기 감지 회로(260)는 상기 충전 단자(253)의 단락을 판단하기 위한 단락 검출 신호 및/또는 상기 충전 단자(253)로 외부 객체(30)의 접근을 판단하기 위한 접근 검출 신호를 출력할 수 있다. 일 예로, 상기 감지 회로(260)는 상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 전압 변화를 근거로 상기 단락 검출 신호를 상기 프로세서(210)로 제공할 수 있다. 상기 감지 회로(260)는 자기장 내에서 상기 외부 객체(30)의 움직임 및/또는 이동에 의한 자기장의 변화량에 상응한 내부에서의 전류 세기의 변화량을 기초로 상기 접근 검출 신호를 상기 프로세서(210)로 제공할 수 있다.

일 예에 따르면, 상기 프로세서(210)는 이동체(10)의 충전을 위한 이벤트(이하 “충전 이벤트”라 칭함)의 발생에 응답하여 상기 이동체(10)에 대한 충전을 위한 전반적인 동작을 제어하도록 구성될 수 있다. 상기 프로세서(210)는 상기 통신 회로(220)를 통해 상기 이동체(10)와 통신 링크를 형성하고, 상기 형성된 통신 링크를 통해 상기 이동체(10)와의 신호 송수신을 수행하기 위한 제어를 수행할 수 있다.

상기 프로세서(210)는 상기 감지 회로(260)에 의해 측정된 충전 단자(253)에서의 전압 변화를 근거로 상기 충전 단자(253)가 외부 객체(30)에 의해 단락됨을 감지할 수 있다. 상기 프로세서(210)는, 상기 충전 단자(253)의 단락을 감지하면, 시스템을 리셋(reset)할 수 있다.

도 3 또는 도 4를 참조하면, 충전 회로(250)는 충전 전류 생성 회로(251) 또는 충전 단자(예: 도 1a 또는 도 1b의 충전 단자(253))를 포함할 수 있다. 감지 회로(260)는 판정 회로(261) 또는 공진 회로(263)를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 충전 전류 생성 회로(251)는 전력 공급 회로(예: 도 2의 전력 공급 회로(230))에서 공급되는 전력을 사용하여 이동체(예: 도 1a 또는 도 1b의 이동체(10))를 충전하기에 적합한 레벨의 충전 전류 (또는 충전 전압)을 생성할 수 있다.

Claims (15)

  1. 충전장치(20)에 있어서,
    전력 공급 회로(230);
    소정의 근거리 통신 방식을 기반으로 이동체(10)와 통신하는 통신 회로(220);
    상기 이동체(10)의 접속 단자(110)와 실질적으로 맞닿아 충전 전류를 공급하도록 외부로 노출된 충전 단자(253)를 포함하고, 상기 전력 공급 회로(230)에 의해 공급되는 전력을 사용하여 상기 충전 전류를 출력하는 충전 회로(250);
    상기 충전 단자(253) 주변에 자기장(magnetic field)을 형성하고, 상기 자기장 내에서 객체(object)(30)의 움직임에 의한 내부 전류의 변화량을 검출하는 감지 회로(260);
    시각 정보 및/또는 청각 정보에 의한 알람을 출력하는 알람 회로(270); 및
    처리 회로를 포함하고, 상기 내부 전류의 변화량을 기초로 상기 객체(30)의 접근을 안내하는 상기 알람을 출력하도록 상기 알람 회로(270)를 제어하는 프로세서(210)를 포함하되,
    여기서, 상기 객체(30)는 상기 프로세서(210)가 상기 통신 회로(220)를 통해 위치를 식별할 수 있는 상기 이동체(30)를 제외한 다른 도전체인, 충전장치(20).
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서(210)가,
    상기 내부 전류 세기의 변화량을 기초로 소정의 임계 거리 이내로 상기 객체(30)의 접근을 식별함에 응답하여 상기 알람을 출력하기 위하여 상기 알람 회로(270)를 제어하도록 구성된, 충전장치(20).
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락 여부에 따른 인터럽트 신호를 상기 프로세서(210)로 출력하도록 구성된 리셋 회로(2611)를 포함하는, 충전장치(20).
  4. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서(210)가, 상기 인터럽트 신호를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락을 감지하고, 이에 대응하여 상기 통신 회로(220)를 통해 상기 이동체(30)로 충전 동작을 중지할 것을 명령하도록 구성된, 충전장치(20).
  5. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서(210)가, 상기 인터럽트 신호를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락을 감지하고, 이에 대응하여 상기 충전 단자(253)를 통한 상기 충전 전류의 공급을 차단하도록 구성된, 충전장치(20).
  6. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서(210)가, 상기 인터럽트 신호를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(253)의 단락을 안내하는 상기 알람을 출력하기 위하여 상기 알람 회로(270)를 제어하도록 구성된, 충전장치(20).
  7. 제3항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 프로세서(210)가, 상기 인터럽트 신호를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락이 해제되었음을 감지하고, 이에 대응하여 상기 통신 회로(220)를 통해 상기 이동체(30)로 충전 동작을 재개할 것을 명령하도록 구성된, 충전장치(20).
  8. 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 감지 회로(260)는, 서로 상이한 방향을 지향하도록 자기장을 형성하고,
    다수의 공진 회로(2631, 2633)를 포함하는, 충전장치(20).
  9. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 감지 회로(260)가 상기 충전 회로(250)가 실장된 하우징에서 상기 이동체가 충전을 위하여 접근하는 전방 부분에 마련된, 충전장치(20).
  10. 충전장치(20)에서 충전 단자(253)의 손상을 방지하는 방법에 있어서,
    상기 충전 단자(253)의 입력 전압의 변화를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(253)의 단락 여부를 식별하는 동작(620);
    자기장 내에서 객체(30)의 움직임에 따른 내부 전류 세기의 변화량을 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(253)로 상기 객체(30)의 접근을 식별하는 동작(630); 및
    상기 충전 단자(253)의 단락 또는 상기 객체의 접근을 알리는 알람을 출력하는 동작을 포함하되,
    여기서, 상기 객체(30)는 위치를 식별할 수 있는 상기 이동체가 아닌 다른 도전체인, 방법.
  11. 제10항에 있어서,
    상기 알람을 출력하는 동작은,
    상기 내부 전류 세기의 변화량을 기초로 소정의 임계 거리 이내로 상기 객체(30)의 접근을 식별함에 응답하여 접근 알람을 출력하는 동작을 포함하는, 방법.
  12. 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 단락 여부를 식별하는 동작(620)은,
    상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락 여부에 따른 인터럽트 신호를 발생하는 동작;
    상기 인터럽트 신호를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락을 감지하고는 동작; 및
    상기 물리적인 단락의 감지에 대응하여 상기 이동체(10)로 충전 동작을 중지할 것을 명령하는 동작을 포함하는, 방법.
  13. 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 단락 여부를 식별하는 동작(620)은,
    상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락 여부에 따른 인터럽트 신호를 발생하는 동작;
    상기 인터럽트 신호를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(30)에서의 물리적인 단락을 감지하는 동작; 및
    상기 물리적인 단락의 감지에 대응하여 상기 충전 단자(253)를 통한 상기 이동체(10)로 공급할 충전 전류의 공급을 차단하는 동작을 포함하는, 방법.
  14. 제12항 또는 제13항에 있어서,
    상기 인터럽트 신호를 기반으로 상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락이 해제되었음을 감지하는 동작; 및
    상기 충전 단자(253)에서의 물리적인 단락이 해제에 대응하여 상기 이동체(10)로 충전 동작을 재개할 것을 명령하는 동작을 포함하는, 방법.
  15. 제10항 내지 제14항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    서로 상이한 다수의 방향에서 상기 객체(30)의 움직임을 감지하기 위한 자기장을 형성하는 동작을 포함하는, 방법.
