Description

調整システム
 本開示は、調整システムに関する。
 光ファイバネットワーク、特に通信事業者と光ノード(光端末)を結ぶアクセスネットワークの構築または保守において、光心線の接続が一定の頻度で行われる。光心線の接続は、ルート上の光ファイバケーブル同士を、1心もしくは1テープ心線ずつ繋ぐ。光心線の接続は、一般的に、作業員が現地に赴いて、視覚的に接続する心線を判別して、行われる。
 非特許文献1は、光ファイバ心線の番号の管理のために、光ファイバの着色や着色されたテープを用いることを開示する。作業者は、光ファイバにあらかじめ施された着色情報を目視で識別し、あらかじめ定められた線番ルールと照らし合わせて、接続すべき光ファイバ心線を特定して、接続する。
 しかしながら、作業者による接続作業は、負担が大きい。作業者が線番ルールを習熟するための研修に関するコスト、目視による判別に要する作業工程量の増加、作業者が健常な色覚機能を有することを確認する検査、ケーブルを着色する製造コストなどが発生する。また作業者によって接続された心線の確認、および誤りが生じた場合の是正などにおいても、負担が大きい。
 本開示は、上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、本開示の目的は、光ファイバネットワークの接続に関する負担を軽減可能な技術を提供することである。
 本開示の一態様の調整システムは、制御装置と、調整装置を備え、前記制御装置と前記調整装置は、複数の芯線を備える光ファイバで形成される伝送路と、制御信号を送信する制御路で通信し、前記制御装置は、前記複数の芯線の1の芯線で送信される光信号に試験光を合波する成端部と、前記試験光が合波された芯線の線番を、前記調整装置に送信する通信部を備え、前記調整装置は、前記制御装置から、前記試験光が合波された芯線の線番を受信する通信部と、前記伝送路の各芯線で送信される光信号を監視し、前記試験光を感知すると、前記試験光が検知された芯線のポート番号を特定する監視部と、前記光ファイバの芯線を識別する線番と、前記芯線に接続する前記監視部のポート番号を対応づける線番データを参照して、前記監視部が特定したポート番号から特定される線番と、前記通信部が受信した線番の一致を確認するコントローラを備える。
 本開示によれば、光ファイバネットワークの接続に関する負担を軽減可能な技術を提供することができる。

 以下、図面を参照して、本開示の実施の形態を説明する。図面の記載において同一部分には同一符号を付し説明を省略する。
 (調整システム)
 図1に示すように、本開示に係る調整システム1は、第1の調整装置10、第2の調整装置20、第3の調整装置30、第4の調整装置40、制御装置50および伝送装置60を備える。本開示において調整システム1が4つの調整装置を備える場合を説明するが、調整装置の数は1以上であれば良い。第1の調整装置10、第2の調整装置20、第3の調整装置30、および第4の調整装置40のうちの任意の1つの調整装置を、調整装置10として記載する場合がある。
 制御装置50、第1の調整装置10、第2の調整装置20、第3の調整装置30および第4の調整装置40は、伝送路2と、制御路3で、相互に通信可能に接続される。
 伝送路2は、各調整装置10に接続するユーザ端末に、光通信サービスを提供する。伝送路2は、複数の芯線を備える光ファイバで形成される。伝送路2は、FTTH(Fiber To The Home)サービスなどで利用されるシングルモード光ファイバなどで形成される。制御装置50から伝送路2に光信号が送信されると、第1の調整装置10、第2の調整装置20、第3の調整装置30および第4の調整装置40の順に、光信号が到達する。
 制御路3は、制御装置50、第1の調整装置10、第2の調整装置20、第3の調整装置30および第4の調整装置40間で、光通信サービスの提供のための制御信号を双方向に送受信する。制御路3は、有線または無線で接続される。制御路3は、調整システム1の安定性のため、2系統で通信可能に接続される。
 制御路3は、1以上の芯線を備える光ファイバで形成されても良い。その場合、調整装置10は、光ファイバを用いた光給電により、電力が供給されても良い。
 制御装置50は、伝送装置60と、光通信サービスを利用するユーザ端末との間の通信を中継する。制御装置50は、伝送装置60から受信した光信号を伝送路2に送出し、伝送路2から受信した光信号を伝送装置60に送出する。制御装置50と伝送装置60が電気信号を送受信する場合、制御装置50は、電気信号を光信号に変換したり、光信号を電気信号に変換したりする。
 本開示において制御装置50はさらに、伝送路2における光ファイバの接続に関する負担を軽減するために、伝送路2の各芯線に試験光を合波したり、制御装置50および各調整装置10における各ポートに接続される線番の情報を保有したりする。
 調整装置10は、制御装置50で合波された試験光を検知したり、調整装置10における各ポートに接続される線番の情報を保有したりする。また調整装置10の電力は、2系統で供給されることが好ましい。例えば調整装置10は、調整システム1の安定性のため、複数系統で、電力供給可能に構成されることが好ましい。調整装置10は、例えば、商用電力、風力または太陽光などの自然エネルギーを用いた発電、制御路3が光ファイバで形成される場合、制御路3からの給電光などのうち、調整装置10の設置環境にあわせて、2以上の電力供給方法を採用する。調整装置10の機能は、いわゆる光ノードに実装されても良い。
 (制御装置)
 図2に示すように、制御装置50は、成端部51、試験装置52、通信部53、送電部54、制御部55および線番データ56を備える。通信部53、制御部55および線番データ56は、一般的なコンピュータに実装されても良い。なお、図2の伝送路2内の芯線に付された番号1-4は、各芯線の線番である。
 本開示において、第1の調整装置10において、線番データ56の通りに各光ファイバが接続されているか否かを確認する場合を説明する。なお、光ファイバの接続状況は、光信号の進行順に確認される。具体的には、第1の調整装置10が、線番データ56の通りに各光ファイバが接続されることを確認した後、第2の調整装置20、第3の調整装置30および第4の調整装置40の順で、それぞれ確認する。
 成端部51は、伝送路2の経路上に設けられる。複数の芯線の1の芯線で送信される光信号に試験光を合波して、伝送路2に送出する。試験光は、調整装置10において線番データ56の通りに各光ファイバが接続されているか否かを確認するために用いられる。
 試験装置52は、制御部55からの指示に従って、制御部55から指定された線番の光ファイバに、試験光を送出する。
 通信部53は、調整装置10と通信するためのインタフェースである。通信部53は、制御部55からの指示に従って、試験光が合波された芯線の線番を、調整装置10に送信したり、試験光を合波した線番を通知したりする。通信部53は、制御部55からの指示に従って、線番データのうち、各調整装置10に関連する部分のデータを、その調整装置10に送信する。制御装置50と各調整装置10は、線番データ56のうち、対応する調整装置10に関するデータを共有する。
 送電部54は、調整システム1の仕様に従って、調整装置10に送電する。例えば送電部54は、制御路3が光ファイバで形成される場合、給電光を調整装置10に送信し、調整装置10に送電する。また送電部54は、制御装置50内に設けられても良いし、制御装置50外に設けられても良い。送電部54は、制御装置50と調整装置10のそれぞれに個別に設けられても良い。
 制御部55は、調整装置10への試験光の送信等を制御する。制御部55は、試験対象の線番に対して、試験光を送出するように試験装置52に指示する。制御部55は、試験対象の線番を、調整装置10に送信する。また制御部55は、線番データ56のうち、各調整装置10に関連する部分のデータを、その調整装置10と共有する指示を、通信部53に入力する。
 線番データ56は、制御装置50および各調整装置10における光ファイバの線番に関するデータである。線番データ56は、図3に示すように、制御装置50において、光ファイバの芯線を識別する線番と、芯線に接続する成端部51のポート番号を対応づける。線番データ56は、各調整装置10において、光ファイバの芯線を識別する線番と、芯線に接続する監視部11のポート番号を対応づける。
 線番データ56は、調整装置10における線番管理のマスターである。調整システム1における光ファイバの接続状況は、線番データ56に従う。
 (調整装置)
 図2を参照して、第1の調整装置10を説明する。なお、第2の調整装置20、第3の調整装置30、第4の調整装置40は、第1の調整装置10と同様の機能を有する。
 調整装置10は、監視部11、調整部12、収容部13、コントローラ16、受電部17および通信部18を備える。調整装置10において、監視部11、調整部12および収容部13は、伝送路2の経路上に設けられる。
 監視部11は、制御装置50から送信される光信号、または試験光が合波された光信号を受信する。図2において監視部11は、4つのポートを有する。4つのポートは、図2の上から順に、ポート番号1-4が与えられる。監視部11は、例えば、試験光の有する波長を分波するWDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing)光カプラと、分波された光を検知するフォトディテクタ(PD:Photo Detector)で形成されても良い。
 監視部11は、伝送路2の各芯線で送信される光信号を監視し、試験光を感知すると、試験光が検知された芯線のポート番号を特定する。監視部11は、各ポートにおいて、試験光を分波し受光することで、試験光を検知する。監視部11は、試験光を検知したポートのポート番号を、コントローラに通知する。
 調整部12は、監視部11が出力する光信号を受信する。調整部12は、監視部11側の各ポートに接続する各入力側ポートと、収容部13側の各ポートに接続する各出力側ポートを備える。本開示において調整部12は、4つの入力側ポートと、4つの出力側ポートを備える。4つの入力側ポートと4つの出力側ポートはそれぞれ、図2の上から順に、ポート番号1-4が与えられる。
 調整部12は、光クロスコネクト機能を有する。調整部12は、光クロスコネクト機能を実現するために、MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems)スイッチ、または熱光学光スイッチなどで形成される。
 調整部12は、各入力側ポートから入力された光信号を、4つの出力側ポートのいずれかに出力することにより、線番とポート番号との対応を変更する。具体的には、調整部12において、1つの入力側ポートは、監視部11から入力された光信号を、コントローラ16から指定された出力側ポートに光信号を入力する。例えば、制御装置50と調整装置10との間で、芯線の接続に誤りがあるなどにより、調整装置10における線番とポート番号の対応関係が、線番データ56と一致しない場合が考えられる。このような場合、調整部12が、線番データ56と一致するように、芯線の接続先のポートを切り替えることにより、芯線の接続の誤りを是正することができる。
 収容部13は、調整部12が出力する光信号を受信する。本開示において収容部13は、調整部12の出力側ポートのポート番号1-4に接続する4つのポートを有する。収容部13は、調整部12から受信した光信号を、第2の調整装置20に出力する。収容部13は、他の光ファイバ(図示せず)を介して、第2の調整装置以外の装置に、光信号を出力しても良い。
 受電部17は、制御装置50等に設けられる送電部54が供給する電力を受ける。受電部17は、調整装置10内の各部に電力を供給し、調整装置10の駆動を実現する。
 通信部18は、制御装置50から、試験光が合波された芯線の線番を受信する。通信部18は、受信した線番を、コントローラ16に通知する。また通信部18は、制御装置50から、調整装置10に関する線番データを受信し、コントローラ16が参照可能な記憶装置に記憶する。
 コントローラ16は、調整装置10を制御する。コントローラ16は、調整装置10に関する線番データを参照する。調整装置10に関する線番データは、図4に示すように、調整装置10において、光ファイバの芯線を識別する線番と、芯線に接続する監視部11のポート番号を対応づける。調整装置10に関する線番データは、調整装置10の記憶装置に記憶されても良いし、コントローラ16が参照可能な外部の記憶装置に記憶されても良い。
 コントローラ16は、監視部11が特定したポート番号から特定される線番と、通信部18が受信した線番の一致を確認する。例えば、制御装置50が線番1に試験光を合波し、監視部11が、ポート1で試験光を検知し、線番データがポート1と線番1を対応づける場合、コントローラ16は、制御装置50および調整装置10間で、線番1の芯線が正しく接続されていると確認する。
 コントローラ16は、監視部11が試験光を検知したとして特定したポート番号から、線番データを参照して特定される線番と、通信部18が、制御装置50から、試験光を合波したとして受信した線番が一致しない場合、調整部12に、所定の入力側ポートの光信号の出力先を、切り替えるように指示する。コントローラ16は、調整部12に、監視部11が特定したポート番号に接続する入力側ポートの出力先を、通信部18が受信した線番に対応するポート番号に対応する出力側ポートに指定する指示を送信する。
 例えば、図2に示す接続状態において、制御装置50が、図3に示す線番データ56を保持する場合を考える。線番データ56は、第1の調整装置10において、線番1の芯線が、監視部11のポート番号1のポートに接続する。線番2の芯線が、監視部11のポート番号2のポートに接続する。線番3の芯線が、監視部11のポート番号3のポートに接続する。線番4の芯線が、監視部11のポート番号4のポートに接続する。
 これに対し、図2に示す例において、線番1の芯線が、監視部11のポート番号4のポートに接続する。線番2の芯線が、監視部11のポート番号3のポートに接続する。線番3の芯線が、監視部11のポート番号1のポートに接続する。線番4の芯線が、監視部11のポート番号2のポートに接続する。
 制御装置50において、線番1に試験光が合波された場合、調整装置10の監視部11は、線番データ56に従うと、線番1に接続するポート番号1のポートで試験光を検知する。しかしながら、図2のような接続の場合、監視部11は、ポート番号4のポートで、試験光を検知する。
 そこでコントローラ16は、入力側において、ポート番号4の入力側ポートの芯線を、線番データ56で特定されるように、出力側において、ポート番号1のポートに接続するように、指示する。各芯線について同様の処理が繰り返されると、図2の調整部12内の実線で示すように、各入力側ポートと各出力側ポートが接続する。これによりコントローラ16は、制御装置50および調整装置10間における芯線の接続の誤りを検知し、是正することができる。
 図4を参照して、本開示に係る調整システム1の処理を説明する。
 ステップS1において制御装置50は、第1の調整装置10に、線番nから試験光を送信する。ステップS2において制御装置50は、試験光を送信した線番nを、第1の調整装置10に通知する。
 ステップS3において第1の調整装置10は、監視部11において試験光を検知したポート番号を特定する。ステップS4において第1の調整装置10は、線番データを参照して、ステップS3で特定したポート番号に対応する線番Xを特定する。
 ステップS5において第1の調整装置10は、ステップS4で特定した線番Xが、ステップS2で通知された線番nと一致するか否かを判定する。一致する場合、調整システム1は、制御装置50と第1の調整装置10との間で、試験対象の線番の芯線が正しく接続されていることを確認できる。一致しない場合、ステップS6において第1の調整装置10は、線番Xが線番nとなるように、調整部12において、芯線の接続先を調整する。
 図5に示す処理は、制御装置50および第1の調整装置10間を接続する各芯線について実行される。また、制御装置50と第1の調整装置10との間で、試験対象の各芯線が正しく接続されていることが確認されると、制御装置50と第2の調整装置20との間で、各芯線について図5の処理が行われる。制御装置50と第3の調整装置30との間、および制御装置50と第4の調整装置40との間で、各芯線について図5の処理が行われると、調整システム1は、線番データ56の通りに各芯線が接続されていることを確認できる。
 調整システム1は、制御装置50と調整装置10を接続する際、線番データ56に従わず、誤って芯線が接続されたとしても、線番データ56が定義するように、芯線の接続を是正することができる。なお、本開示において制御装置50と共有する線番データを基準に、芯線の接続先を調整する場合を説明するがこれに限らない。例えば、調整装置10は、調整部12による芯線の切り替え指示のログデータを保持し、所定のタイミングにおける接続状態を基準に、芯線の接続先を調整しても良い。
 調整システム1は、作業員が、制御装置50と調整装置10とを接続した後、その接続の正確性を確認し、また誤りがある場合に正しい接続に切り替えることができる。調整システム1は、光ファイバネットワークの接続に関する負担を軽減することができる。
 (変形例)
 図5を参照して、変形例に係る調整システム1aを説明する。変形例に係る調整システム1aは、図1に示す調整システム1と比べて、光ファイバの伝送路2aが、制御装置50aから、各調整装置10aを経由して、制御装置50aに戻るように形成され、ループ状に形成される点が異なる。
 伝送路2aは、右回り経路と左回り経路のそれぞれで、光信号を送信する。従って、変形例において、制御装置50aは、試験光を、右回りと左回りの両方向に送信する必要がある。
 図7に示すように、変形例に係る制御装置50aにおいて、成端部51は、右回りの経路で送信される光信号に、前記試験光を合波する第1の成端部51aと、左回りの経路で送信される光信号に、試験光を合波する第2の成端部51bを備える。第1の成端部51aは、第1の調整装置10a側に設けられる。第2の成端部51bは、第4の調整装置40a側に設けられる。
 図7に示すように、第1の調整装置10aは、伝送路2a上に、制御装置50a側から順に、第1の監視部11a、第1の調整部12a、収容部13a、第2の調整部12bおよび第2の監視部11bを、配置する。
 監視部11は、右回りの経路で送信される光信号を監視する第1の監視部11aと、左回りの経路で送信される光信号を監視する第2の監視部11bを備える。第1の監視部11aは、制御装置50a側に設けられる。第2の監視部11bは、第2の調整装置20a側に設けられる。
 調整部12は、右回りの経路で送信される光信号の送信先を調整する第1の調整部12aと、左回りの経路で送信される光信号の送信先を調整する第2の調整部12bを備える。第1の調整部12aは、第1の監視部11aと収容部13aの間に設けられる。第2の調整部12bは、第2の監視部11bと収容部13aの間に設けられる。
 変形例において制御装置50aの通信部53は、試験光を合波した線番のほか、その方向も、調整装置10に通知しても良い。例えば、第1の成端部51aが線番1に合波した場合、右回りで、線番1に合波したことを、第1の調整装置10aに送信する。その場合、第1の監視部11aが、試験波を検知する。第2の成端部51bが線番1に合波した場合、左回りで、線番1に合波したことを、第4の調整装置40aに送信する。その場合、第4の調整装置40aの左回りの試験光を検知する監視部(図示せず)が、試験光を検知する。
 変形例においては、伝送路2aがループ状に形成され、右回りと左回りの両方で光通信サービスを提供する場合でも、作業員が、制御装置50aと調整装置10aとを接続した後、その接続の正確性を確認し、また誤りがある場合に正しい接続に切り替えることができる。調整システム1aは、光ファイバネットワークの接続に関する負担を軽減することができる。
 変形例に係る調整システム1aは、伝送路2aがループ状に形成される場合を説明したが、図1のように、ループ状に形成されない場合にも導入されても良い。
 上記説明した本実施形態の各調整装置10および制御装置50はそれぞれ、例えば、CPU(Central Processing Unit、プロセッサ)901と、メモリ902と、ストレージ903(HDD:Hard Disk Drive、SSD:Solid State Drive)と、通信装置904と、入力装置905と、出力装置906とを備える汎用的なコンピュータシステムが用いられる。このコンピュータシステムにおいて、CPU901がメモリ902上にロードされたプログラムを実行することにより、各調整装置10および制御装置50のそれぞれの各機能が実現される。
 なお、各調整装置10および制御装置50はそれぞれ、1つのコンピュータで実装されてもよく、あるいは複数のコンピュータで実装されても良い。また各調整装置10および制御装置50はそれぞれ、コンピュータに実装される仮想マシンであっても良い。
 各調整装置10および制御装置50のそれぞれのプログラムは、HDD、SSD、USB(Universal Serial Bus)メモリ、CD (Compact Disc)、DVD (Digital Versatile Disc)などのコンピュータ読取り可能な記録媒体に記憶することも、ネットワークを介して配信することもできる。コンピュータ読取り可能な記録媒体は、例えば非一時的な(non-transitory)記録媒体である。
 なお、本開示は上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、その要旨の範囲内で数々の変形が可能である。

Claims (4)

  1.  制御装置と、調整装置を備え、
     前記制御装置と前記調整装置は、複数の芯線を備える光ファイバで形成される伝送路と、制御信号を送信する制御路で通信し、
     前記制御装置は、
     前記複数の芯線の1の芯線で送信される光信号に試験光を合波する成端部と、
     前記試験光が合波された芯線の線番を、前記調整装置に送信する通信部を備え、
     前記調整装置は、
     前記制御装置から、前記試験光が合波された芯線の線番を受信する通信部と、
     前記伝送路の各芯線で送信される光信号を監視し、前記試験光を感知すると、前記試験光が検知された芯線のポート番号を特定する監視部と、
     前記光ファイバの芯線を識別する線番と、前記芯線に接続する前記監視部のポート番号を対応づける線番データを参照して、前記監視部が特定したポート番号から特定される線番と、前記通信部が受信した線番の一致を確認するコントローラを備える
     調整システム。
  2.  前記調整装置は、さらに、
     前記監視部が出力する光信号を受信する調整部と、前記調整部が出力する光信号を受信する収容部を備え、
     前記調整部は、
     前記監視部側の各ポートに接続する各入力側ポートと、前記収容部側の各ポートに接続する各出力側ポートを備え、
     1つの入力側ポートは、前記監視部から入力された光信号を、前記コントローラから指定された出力側ポートに光信号を入力し、
     前記コントローラは、
     前記監視部が特定したポート番号から特定される線番と、前記通信部が受信した線番が一致しない場合、前記調整部に、前記監視部が特定したポート番号に接続する入力側ポートの出力先を、前記通信部が受信した線番に対応するポート番号に対応する出力側ポートに指定する指示を送信する
     請求項1に記載の調整システム。
  3.  前記制御装置と前記調整装置は、前記線番データのうち、前記調整装置に関するデータを共有する
     請求項1に記載の調整システム。
  4.  前記伝送路は、前記制御装置から、前記調整装置を経由して、前記制御装置に戻るように形成され、右回り経路と左回り経路のそれぞれで、光信号を送信し
     前記制御装置において、
     前記成端部は、前記右回りの経路で送信される光信号に、前記試験光を合波するとともに、前記左回りの経路で送信される光信号に、前記試験光を合波し、
     前記調整装置において、
     前記監視部は、前記右回りの経路で送信される光信号を監視するとともに、前記左回りの経路で送信される光信号を監視する
