Description

전자 장치와 그 동작 방법
본 개시는 사용자의 접근을 감지할 수 있는 전자 장치 및 그의 동작 방법에 관한 것이다.
인공지능 기술과 전자 기기 기술의 발전으로 스마트 홈 기기 시장이 더욱 성장하고 있다. 특히, 스마트 홈 기기들 중에서도 스크린이 탑재된 스마트 디스플레이 시장의 성장세가 두드러지게 나타난다. 스마트 디스플레이는, 현재 위치, 날씨, 날짜 등과 같은 사용자에게 유용한 정보를 시각적으로 제공할 수 있으며, 사용자 질의에도 즉각적으로 응답을 제공할 수 있고, 미디어 애플리케이션을 통해 다양한 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있다. 이러한 스마트 디스플레이가 다양한 화면 크기로 개발 및 생산되며 화면 크기가 점점 대형화됨에 따라, 스마트 디스플레이 기술을 기존의 TV(television) 기술에 접목시킨, 스마트 디스플레이의 기능을 제공하는 TV에 대한 개발도 함께 이루어지고 있다.
한편, 화면 크기가 크지 않은 스마트 디스플레이는 전력 소비가 크지 않으므로, 사용자가 언제든 스마트 디스플레이의 기능을 즉각적으로 사용할 수 있도록, 오랜 시간 화면이 켜진 상태를 유지할 수 있다. 그러나, 비교적 화면 크기가 큰 TV는 전력 소비가 매우 크다. 또한, 디스플레이이 패널 보증 기간을 고려하면, TV의 화면이 항상 켜진 상태를 유지하는 것은 비효율적일 수 있다.
본 개시의 일 실시예에서, 전자 장치는 하나 이상의 명령어(instruction)를 저장하는 메모리 및 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행하는 적어도 하나의 프로세서를 포함할 수 있다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에서, 적어도 하나의 프로세서가 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써, 전자 장치는 마이크를 통해 수신한 오디오가 기 설정된 조건에 대응되면, WiFi(wireless fidelity) CSI(channel state information)의 감지 범위 내의 사용자 존재를 식별할 수 있다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에서, 적어도 하나의 프로세서가 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써, 전자 장치는, WiFi CSI의 감지 범위 내 사용자 존재가 식별되면, 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 사용자가 존재하는지 식별할 수 있다.

본 개시의 일 실시예에 따르면, 모션 센서가 탑재되지 않은 TV도 기존에 탑재된 마이크와 스피커를 이용하여 사용자를 감지할 수 있다. 따라서, 추가적인 모션 센서를 필요로 하지 않으므로, 생산 비용이 절감되고, 전력 소비가 감소하고, 기기를 경량화할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 마이크를 통해 사람의 행동과 관련된 소리가 인식되는 경우 추가적으로 스피커에 의한 초음파를 사용하여 사용자가 TV 앞으로 온 것을 감지하고, 이에 따라 TV 화면을 자동으로 켜고 날씨나 일정, 메모 등 유용한 정보를 표시할 수 있다.
옆 집이나 윗 집 사람 소리, 밖에서 들리는 소음 등으로 인해, 사람 행동과 관련된 소리만으로 사용자를 감지하는 것은 부정확 할 수 있다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따르면, 주변 소리 뿐만 아니라 WiFi CSI 및 초음파를 함께 이용하여 보다 정확히 사용자를 감지할 수 있다. 또한, 사람 행동과 관련된 소리만으로 재실 여부를 판단하여 스피커에 전원을 인가하고 초음파를 발신하는 경우, 스피커의 수명을 단축시킬 수 있으며, 전원 인가 과정에서 파워 릴레이(power relay) 소음이 발생할 수 있다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따르면, 소리와 WiFi CSI를 함께 이용하여 재실 여부를 판단함으로써, 스피커에 전원을 인가하여 초음파를 발신하는 것을 최소화할 수 있다.

기기로 읽을 수 있는 저장매체는, 비일시적(non-transitory) 저장매체의 형태로 제공될 수 있다. 여기서, ‘비일시적 저장매체'는 실재(tangible)하는 장치이고, 신호(signal)(예: 전자기파)를 포함하지 않는다는 것을 의미할 뿐이며, 이 용어는 데이터가 저장매체에 반영구적으로 저장되는 경우와 임시적으로 저장되는 경우를 구분하지 않는다. 예로, '비일시적 저장매체'는 데이터가 임시적으로 저장되는 버퍼를 포함할 수 있다.

Claims (15)

  1. 전자 장치(1100)에 있어서,
    하나 이상의 명령어(instruction)를 저장하는 메모리(1120); 및
    적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)를 포함하고,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써, 상기 전자 장치는,
    마이크(1152)를 통해 수신한 오디오가 기 설정된 조건에 대응되면, WiFi(wireless fidelity) CSI(channel state information)의 감지 범위 내의 사용자 존재를 식별하고,
    상기 WiFi CSI의 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자 존재가 식별되면, 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 존재하는지 식별하는, 전자 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써 상기 전자 장치는,
    상기 수신한 오디오가 기 설정된 조건에 대응하고 상기 WiFi CSI의 감지 범위 내 사용자가 존재하면, 스피커(1164)를 통해 제1 세기의 초음파 신호를 출력하고,
    상기 출력된 제1 세기의 초음파 신호와 상기 마이크(1152)를 통해 입력되는 초음파 신호에 기초하여 상기 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 존재하는지 여부를 식별하는, 전자 장치.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써 상기 전자 장치는,
    상기 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 존재함에 기초하여, 사용자 존재에 대응한 화면을 출력하도록 제어하는, 전자 장치.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써 상기 전자 장치는,
    상기 WiFi CSI의 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 존재함에 기초하여, 기 설정된 값보다 전력 소비량이 적은 제1 상태에서 상기 기 설정된 값보다 전력 소비량이 많은 제2 상태로 변경되도록 제어하는, 전자 장치.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써 상기 전자 장치는,
    상기 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자의 부존재에 기초하여, 기 설정된 값보다 전력 소비량이 많은 제2 상태에서 상기 기 설정된 값보다 전력 소비량이 적은 제1 상태로 변경되도록 제어하는, 전자 장치.
  6. 제4항 또는 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 상태는, 스피커(1164) 또는 디스플레이(1162) 중 적어도 하나가 동작하지 않는 것에 기초하여 정상 상태의 전력 소비량보다 전력 소비량이 적은 상태이고,
    상기 제2 상태는, 상기 스피커(1164) 또는 상기 디스플레이(1162) 중 적어도 하나가 동작하는 것에 기초하여 상기 정상 상태의 전력 소비량보다 전력 소비량이 많은 상태를 포함하는, 전자 장치.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써 상기 전자 장치는,
    상기 마이크를 통해 수신한 오디오가 전자 장치의 주변 소리에 대응하면, 상기 주변 소리와 관련된 적어도 하나의 클래스에 기초하여 상기 주변 소리가 사람에 의한 소리인지 여부를 식별하는, 전자 장치.
  8. 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써 상기 전자 장치는,
    상기 WiFi CSI 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 부존재하고 상기 수신한 오디오의 크기가 임계값 이상이면, 스피커(1164)를 통해 제2 세기의 초음파 신호를 출력하고,
    상기 출력된 제2 세기의 초음파 신호 및 상기 마이크(1152)로 입력되는 초음파 신호를 이용하여, 초음파 기반의 제2 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자의 존재를 식별하고,
    상기 초음파 기반의 제2 감지 범위는 상기 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위보다 넓은, 전자 장치.
  9. 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써 상기 전자 장치는,
    상기 WiFi CSI 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 부존재하고 상기 수신한 오디오의 크기가 임계값 이상이면, 기 설정된 값보다 전력 소비량이 적은 제1 상태에서 상기 기 설정된 값보다 전력 소비량이 많은 제2 상태로 변경하는, 전자 장치.
  10. 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 프로세서(1110)가 상기 하나 이상의 명령어를 실행함으로써 상기 전자 장치는,
    상기 초음파 기반의 제2 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 존재함에 기초하여, 상기 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자의 존재 여부를 식별하는, 전자 장치
  11. 전자 장치(1100)의 동작 방법에 있어서,
    마이크(1152)를 통해 수신한 오디오가 기 설정된 조건에 대응되면, WiFi(wireless fidelity) CSI(channel state information)의 감지 범위 내의 사용자 존재를 식별하는 단계; 및
    상기 WiFi CSI의 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자 존재가 식별되면, 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 존재하는지 식별하는 단계를 포함하는, 방법.
  12. 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 존재하는지 식별하는 단계는,
    상기 수신한 오디오가 기 설정된 조건에 대응하고 상기 WiFi CSI의 감지 범위 내 사용자가 존재하면, 스피커(1164)를 통해 제1 세기의 초음파 신호를 출력하는 단계; 및
    상기 출력된 제1 세기의 초음파 신호와 상기 마이크(1152)를 통해 입력되는 초음파 신호에 기초하여 상기 초음파 기반의 제1 감지 범위 내 상기 사용자가 존재하는지 여부를 식별하는 단계를 포함하는, 방법.
  13. 제11항 또는 제12항에 있어서,
