Description

무선 통신 시스템에서 채널 상태 정보 보고를 수행하는 방법 및 장치
본 개시는 무선 통신 시스템에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게 무선 통신 시스템에서 채널 상태 정보(channel state information, CSI) 보고를 수행하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다.
이동 통신 시스템은 사용자의 활동성을 보장하면서 음성 서비스를 제공하기 위해 개발되었다. 그러나 이동통신 시스템은 음성뿐 아니라 데이터 서비스까지 영역을 확장하였으며, 현재에는 폭발적인 트래픽의 증가로 인하여 자원의 부족 현상이 야기되고 사용자들이 보다 고속의 서비스에 대한 요구하므로, 보다 발전된 이동 통신 시스템이 요구되고 있다.
차세대 이동 통신 시스템의 요구 조건은 크게 폭발적인 데이터 트래픽의 수용, 사용자 당 전송률의 획기적인 증가, 대폭 증가된 연결 디바이스 개수의 수용, 매우 낮은 단대단 지연(End-to-End Latency), 고에너지 효율을 지원할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위하여 이중 연결성(Dual Connectivity), 대규모 다중 입출력(Massive MIMO: Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output), 전이중(In-band Full Duplex), 비직교 다중접속(NOMA: Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access), 초광대역(Super wideband) 지원, 단말 네트워킹(Device Networking) 등 다양한 기술들이 연구되고 있다.
본 개시의 기술적 과제는, 무선 통신 시스템에서 무선 통신 시스템에서 채널 상태 정보(channel state information, CSI) 보고를 수행하는 방법 및 장치를 제공하는 것이다.

시스템 일반
더욱 많은 통신 기기들이 더욱 큰 통신 용량을 요구하게 됨에 따라, 기존의 무선 액세스 기술(radio access technology, RAT)에 비해 향상된 모바일 브로드밴드(mobile broadband) 통신에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 또한 다수의 기기 및 사물들을 연결하여 언제 어디서나 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 매시브(massive) MTC(machine type communications) 역시 차세대 통신에서 고려될 주요 이슈 중 하나이다. 뿐만 아니라 신뢰도(reliability) 및 지연(latency)에 민감한 서비스/단말을 고려한 통신 시스템 디자인이 논의되고 있다. 이와 같이 eMBB(enhanced mobile broadband communication), Mmtc(massive MTC), URLLC (utra-reliable and low latency communication) 등을 고려한 차세대 RAT의 도입이 논의되고 있으며, 본 개시에서는 편의상 해당 기술을 NR이라고 부른다. NR은 5G RAT의 일례를 나타낸 표현이다.
전술한, NR 시스템은 LTE(long term evolution)의 후속 기술로서, 고성능, 저지연, 고가용성 등의 특성을 가지는 새로운 클린-슬래이트(clean-slate) 형태의 이동 통신 시스템이다. NR 시스템의 경우, 1GHz 미만의 저주파 대역에서부터 1GHz~10GHz의 중간 주파 대역, 24GHz 이상의 고주파(밀리미터파) 대역 등 사용 가능한 모든 스펙트럼 자원을 활용할 수 있다. NR 시스템의 기반기술을 기초로 6G 이동 통신 시스템(이하, 6G 시스템)이 개발되고 있다.
6G 시스템은 (i) 디바이스 당 매우 높은 데이터 속도, (ii) 매우 많은 수의 연결된 디바이스들, (iii) 글로벌 연결성(global connectivity), (iv) 매우 낮은 지연, (v) 배터리-프리(battery-free) IoT(internet of things) 디바이스들의 에너지 소비를 낮추고, (vi) 초고신뢰성 연결, (vii) 머신 러닝 능력을 가지는 연결된 지능 등에 목적이 있다. 6G 시스템의 비전은 지능형 연결(intelligent connectivity), 심층 연결(deep connectivity), 홀로그램 연결(holographic connectivity), 유비쿼터스 연결(ubiquitous connectivity)과 같은 4가지 측면일 수 있다.
NR 시스템 및 6G 시스템을 포함하는 새로운 RAT 시스템(이하, 차세대 RAT 시스템)은 OFDM 전송 방식 또는 이와 유사한 전송 방식을 사용한다. 차세대 RAT 시스템은 LTE의 OFDM 파라미터들과는 다른 OFDM 파라미터들을 따를 수 있다. 또는 차세대 RAT 시스템은 기존의 LTE/LTE-A의 뉴머롤로지(numerology)를 그대로 따르나 더 큰 시스템 대역폭(예를 들어, 100MHz)를 지원할 수 있다. 또는 하나의 셀이 복수 개의 numerology들을 지원할 수도 있다. 즉, 서로 다른 numerology로 동작하는 하는 단말들이 하나의 셀 안에서 공존할 수 있다.
numerology는 주파수 도메인에서 하나의 서브캐리어 간격(subcarrier spacing)에 대응한다. 참조 서브캐리어 간격(reference subcarrier spacing)을 정수 N으로 스케일링(scaling)함으로써, 상이한 numerology가 정의될 수 있다.
도 1은 본 개시가 적용될 수 있는 무선 통신 시스템의 구조를 예시한다.
도 1을 참조하면, NG-RAN은 NG-RA(NG-Radio Access) 사용자 평면(즉, 새로운 AS(access stratum) 서브계층/PDCP(packet data convergence protocol)/RLC(radio link control)/MAC/PHY) 및 UE에 대한 제어 평면(RRC) 프로토콜 종단을 제공하는 gNB들로 구성된다. 상기 gNB는 Xn 인터페이스를 통해 상호 연결된다. 상기 gNB는 또한, NG 인터페이스를 통해 NGC(New Generation Core)로 연결된다. 보다 구체적으로는, 상기 gNB는 N2 인터페이스를 통해 AMF(Access and Mobility Management Function)로, N3 인터페이스를 통해 UPF(User Plane Function)로 연결된다.
도 2는 본 개시가 적용될 수 있는 무선 통신 시스템에서 프레임 구조를 예시한다.
차세대 RAT 시스템은 다수의 뉴머롤로지(numerology)들을 지원할 수 있다. 여기서, numerology는 서브캐리어 간격(subcarrier spacing)과 순환 전치(cyclic prefix, CP) 오버헤드에 의해 정의될 수 있다. 이때, 다수의 서브캐리어 간격은 기본(참조) 서브캐리어 간격을 정수 N(또는, μ)으로 스케일링(scaling) 함으로써 유도될 수 있다. 또한, 매우 높은 반송파 주파수에서 매우 낮은 서브캐리어 간격을 이용하지 않는다고 가정될지라도, 이용되는 numerology는 주파수 대역과 독립적으로 선택될 수 있다. 또한, 차세대 RAT 시스템에서는 다수의 numerology에 따른 다양한 프레임 구조들이 지원될 수 있다.
이하, 차세대 RAT 시스템에서 고려될 수 있는 OFDM numerology 및 프레임 구조를 살펴본다. 차세대 RAT 시스템에서 지원되는 다수의 OFDM numerology들은 아래 표 1과 같이 정의될 수 있다.

차세대 RAT 시스템은 다양한 5G/6G 서비스들을 지원하기 위한 다수의 numerology(또는 서브캐리어 간격(subcarrier spacing, SCS)를 지원한다. 예를 들어, SCS가 15kHz인 경우, 전통적인 셀룰러 밴드들에서의 넓은 영역(wide area)를 지원하며, SCS가 30kHz/60kHz인 경우, 밀집한-도시(dense-urban), 더 낮은 지연(lower latency) 및 더 넓은 캐리어 대역폭(wider carrier bandwidth)를 지원하며, SCS가 60kHz 또는 그보다 높은 경우, 위상 잡음(phase noise)를 극복하기 위해 24.25GHz보다 큰 대역폭을 지원한다. 표 1에는 설명되어 있지 않지만, 6G 시스템의 경우 480kHz/960kHz의 SCS가 추가적으로 지원 가능할 수 있다.
차세대 RAT 시스템의 주파수 밴드(frequency band)는 다양한 타입의 주파수 범위(frequency range)(예를 들어, FR1, FR2 등)로 정의된다. 예를 들어, FR1, FR2는 아래 표 2와 같이 구성될 수 있다. 또한, FR2는 밀리미터 웨이브(millimeter wave, mmW)를 의미할 수 있다.

차세대 RAT 시스템에서의 프레임 구조(frame structure)와 관련하여, 시간 도메인의 다양한 필드의 크기는 Tc=1/(Δfmax·Nf)의 시간 단위의 배수로 표현된다. 여기에서, Δfmax=480·103 Hz이고, Nf=4096 이다. 하향링크(downlink) 및 상향링크(uplink) 전송은 Tf=1/(ΔfmaxNf/100)·Tc=10ms의 구간을 가지는 무선 프레임(radio frame)으로 구성(organized)된다. 여기에서, 무선 프레임은 각각 Tsf=(ΔfmaxNf/1000)·Tc=1ms의 구간을 가지는 10 개의 서브프레임(subframe)들로 구성된다. 이 경우, 상향링크에 대한 한 세트의 프레임들 및 하향링크에 대한 한 세트의 프레임들이 존재할 수 있다.
또한, 단말로부터의 상향링크 프레임 번호 i에서의 전송은 해당 단말에서의 해당 하향링크 프레임의 시작보다 TTA=(NTA+NTA,offset)Tc 이전에 시작해야 한다. 서브캐리어 간격 구성 μ 에 대하여, 슬롯(slot)들은 서브프레임 내에서 ns μ∈{0,..., Nslot subframe,μ-1} 의 증가하는 순서로 번호가 매겨지고, 무선 프레임 내에서 ns,f μ∈{0,..., Nslot frame,μ-1} 의 증가하는 순서로 번호가 매겨진다. 하나의 슬롯은 Nsymb slot의 연속하는 OFDM 심볼들로 구성되고, Nsymb slot는, CP에 따라 결정된다. 서브프레임에서 슬롯 ns μ의 시작은 동일 서브프레임에서 OFDM 심볼 ns μNsymb slot의 시작과 시간적으로 정렬된다. 모든 단말이 동시에 송신 및 수신을 할 수 있는 것은 아니며, 이는 하향링크 슬롯(downlink slot) 또는 상향링크 슬롯(uplink slot)의 모든 OFDM 심볼들이 이용될 수는 없다는 것을 의미한다.
표 3은 일반 CP에서 슬롯 별 OFDM 심볼의 개수(Nsymb slot), 무선 프레임 별 슬롯의 개수(Nslot frame,μ), 서브프레임 별 슬롯의 개수(Nslot subframe,μ)를 나타내며, 표 4는 확장 CP에서 슬롯 별 OFDM 심볼의 개수, 무선 프레임 별 슬롯의 개수, 서브프레임 별 슬롯의 개수를 나타낸다.

도 2는, μ=2인 경우(SCS가 60kHz)의 일례로서, 표 3을 참고하면 1 서브프레임(subframe)은 4개의 슬롯(slot)들을 포함할 수 있다. 도 2에 도시된 1 subframe={1,2,4} slot은 일례로서, 1 subframe에 포함될 수 있는 slot(들)의 개수는 표 3 또는 표 4와 같이 정의된다. 또한, 미니 슬롯(mini-slot)은 2, 4 또는 7 심볼들을 포함하거나 그 보다 더 많은 또는 더 적은 심볼들을 포함할 수 있다.
차세대 RAT 시스템에서의 물리 자원(physical resource)과 관련하여, 안테나 포트(antenna port), 자원 그리드(resource grid), 자원 요소(resource element), 자원 블록(resource block), 캐리어 파트(carrier part) 등이 고려될 수 있다. 이하, 차세대 RAT 시스템에서 고려될 수 있는 상기 물리 자원들에 대해 구체적으로 살펴본다.
먼저, 안테나 포트와 관련하여, 안테나 포트는 안테나 포트 상의 심볼이 운반되는 채널이 동일한 안테나 포트 상의 다른 심볼이 운반되는 채널로부터 추론될 수 있도록 정의된다. 하나의 안테나 포트 상의 심볼이 운반되는 채널의 광범위 특성(large-scale property)이 다른 안테나 포트 상의 심볼이 운반되는 채널로부터 유추될 수 있는 경우, 2 개의 안테나 포트는 QC/QCL(quasi co-located 혹은 quasi co-location) 관계에 있다고 할 수 있다. 여기서, 상기 광범위 특성은 지연 확산(Delay spread), 도플러 확산(Doppler spread), 주파수 쉬프트(Frequency shift), 평균 수신 파워(Average received power), 수신 타이밍(Received Timing) 중 하나 이상을 포함한다.
도 3은 본 개시가 적용될 수 있는 무선 통신 시스템에서 자원 그리드(resource grid)를 예시한다.
도 3을 참조하면, 자원 그리드가 주파수 도메인 상으로 NRB μNsc RB 서브캐리어들로 구성되고, 하나의 서브프레임이 14·2μ OFDM 심볼들로 구성되는 것을 예시적으로 기술하나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 차세대 RAT 시스템에서, 전송되는 신호(transmitted signal)는 NRB μNsc RB 서브캐리어들로 구성되는 하나 또는 그 이상의 자원 그리드들 및 2μNsymb (μ)의 OFDM 심볼들에 의해 설명된다. 여기서, NRB μ≤NRB max,μ이다. 상기 NRB max,μ는 최대 전송 대역폭을 나타내고, 이는, numerology들 뿐만 아니라 상향링크와 하향링크 간에도 달라질 수 있다. 이 경우, μ 및 안테나 포트 p 별로 하나의 자원 그리드가 설정될 수 있다. μ 및 안테나 포트 p에 대한 자원 그리드의 각 요소는 자원 요소(resource element)로 지칭되며, 인덱스 쌍 (k,l')에 의해 고유적으로 식별된다. 여기에서, k=0,...,NRB μNsc RB-1 는 주파수 도메인 상의 인덱스이고, l'=0,...,2μNsymb (μ)-1 는 서브프레임 내에서 심볼의 위치를 지칭한다. 슬롯에서 자원 요소를 지칭할 때에는, 인덱스 쌍 (k,l) 이 이용된다. 여기서, l=0,...,Nsymb μ-1 이다. μ 및 안테나 포트 p에 대한 자원 요소 (k,l')는 복소 값(complex value) ak,l' (p,μ)에 해당한다. 혼동(confusion)될 위험이 없는 경우 혹은 특정 안테나 포트 또는 numerology가 특정되지 않은 경우에는, 인덱스들 p 및 μ는 드롭(drop)될 수 있으며, 그 결과 복소 값은 ak,l' (p) 또는 ak,l' 이 될 수 있다. 또한, 자원 블록(resource block, RB)은 주파수 도메인 상의 Nsc RB=12 연속적인 서브캐리어들로 정의된다.
포인트(point) A는 자원 블록 그리드의 공통 조건 포인트(common reference point)로서 역할을 하며 다음과 같이 획득된다.
- 프라이머리 셀(PCell: Primary Cell) 다운링크에 대한 offsetToPointA는 초기 셀 선택을 위해 단말에 의해 사용된 SS/PBCH block과 겹치는 가장 낮은 자원 블록의 가장 낮은 서브 캐리어와 point A 간의 주파수 오프셋을 나타낸다. FR1에 대해 15kHz 서브캐리어 간격 및 FR2에 대해 60kHz 서브캐리어 간격을 가정한 리소스 블록 단위(unit)들로 표현된다.
- absoluteFrequencyPointA는 ARFCN(absolute radio-frequency channel number)에서와 같이 표현된 point A의 주파수-위치를 나타낸다.
공통 자원 블록(common resource block)들은 서브캐리어 간격 설정 μ에 대한 주파수 도메인에서 0부터 위쪽으로 numbering된다. 서브캐리어 간격 설정 μ에 대한 공통 자원 블록 0의 subcarrier 0의 중심은 'point A'와 일치한다. 주파수 도메인에서 공통 자원 블록 번호 nCRB μ 와 서브캐리어 간격 설정 μ에 대한 자원 요소(k,l)와의 관계는 아래 수학식 1과 같이 주어진다.
수학식 1에서, k는 k=0이 point A를 중심으로 하는 서브캐리어에 해당하도록 point A에 상대적으로 정의된다. 물리 자원 블록들은 대역폭 파트(BWP: bandwidth part) 내에서 0부터 NBWP,i size,μ-1까지 번호가 매겨지고, i는 BWP의 번호이다. BWP i에서 물리 자원 블록 nPRB 와 공통 자원 블록 nCRB 간의 관계는 아래 수학식 2에 의해 주어진다.
NBWP,i start,μ는 BWP가 공통 자원 블록 0에 상대적으로 시작하는 공통 자원 블록이다.
도 4는 본 개시가 적용될 수 있는 무선 통신 시스템에서 물리 자원 블록(physical resource block)을 예시한다. 그리고, 도 5는 본 개시가 적용될 수 있는 무선 통신 시스템에서 슬롯 구조를 예시한다.
도 4 및 도 5를 참조하면, 슬롯은 시간 도메인에서 복수의 심볼을 포함한다. 예를 들어, 보통 CP의 경우 하나의 슬롯이 7개의 심볼을 포함하나, 확장 CP의 경우 하나의 슬롯이 6개의 심볼을 포함한다.
반송파는 주파수 도메인에서 복수의 부반송파를 포함한다. RB(Resource Block)는 주파수 도메인에서 복수(예를 들어, 12)의 연속한 부반송파로 정의된다. BWP(Bandwidth Part)는 주파수 도메인에서 복수의 연속한 (물리) 자원 블록으로 정의되며, 하나의 numerology(예를 들어, SCS, CP 길이 등)에 대응될 수 있다. 반송파는 최대 N개(예를 들어, 5개)의 BWP를 포함할 수 있다. 데이터 통신은 활성화된 BWP를 통해서 수행되며, 하나의 단말한테는 하나의 BWP만 활성화될 수 있다. 자원 그리드에서 각각의 요소는 자원요소(RE: Resource Element)로 지칭되며, 하나의 복소 심볼이 매핑될 수 있다.
차세대 RAT 시스템은 하나의 컴포넌트 캐리어(component carrier, CC) 당 최대 400 MHz까지 지원될 수 있다. 이러한 광대역 CC(wideband CC)에서 동작하는 단말이 항상 CC 전체에 대한 무선 주파수(radio frequency, RF) 칩(chip)를 켜둔 채로 동작한다면 단말 배터리 소모가 커질 수 있다. 혹은 하나의 광대역 CC 내에 동작하는 여러 활용 케이스들(예를 들어, eMBB, URLLC, Mmtc, V2X 등)을 고려할 때 해당 CC 내에 주파수 대역 별로 서로 다른 numerology(예를 들어, 서브캐리어 간격 등)가 지원될 수 있다. 혹은 단말 별로 최대 대역폭에 대한 능력(capability)이 다를 수 있다. 이를 고려하여 기지국은 광대역 CC의 전체 대역폭이 아닌 일부 대역폭에서만 동작하도록 단말에게 지시할 수 있으며, 해당 일부 대역폭을 편의상 대역폭 부분(bandwidth part, BWP)로 정의한다. BWP는 주파수 축 상에서 연속한 RB들로 구성될 수 있으며, 하나의 numerology(예를 들어, 서브캐리어 간격, CP 길이, 슬롯/미니-슬롯 구간)에 대응될 수 있다.
한편, 기지국은 단말에게 설정된 하나의 CC 내에서도 다수의 BWP를 설정할 수 있다. 예를 들어, PDCCH 모니터링 슬롯에서는 상대적으로 작은 주파수 도메인을 차지하는 BWP를 설정하고, PDCCH에서 지시하는 PDSCH는 그보다 큰 BWP 상에 스케줄링될 수 있다.
혹은, 특정 BWP에 UE 들이 몰리는 경우 로드 밸런싱(load balancing)을 위해 일부 단말들을 다른 BWP로 설정할 수 있다. 혹은, 이웃 셀 간의 주파수 도메인 셀간 간섭 제거(frequency domain inter-cell interference cancellation) 등을 고려하여 전체 대역폭 중 가운데 일부 스펙트럼(spectrum)을 배제하고 양쪽 BWP들을 동일 슬롯 내에서도 설정할 수 있다. 즉, 기지국은 광대역 CC와 연관된(association) 단말에게 적어도 하나의 DL/UL BWP를 설정할 수 있다.
기지국은 특정 시점에 설정된 DL/UL BWP(들) 중 적어도 하나의 DL/UL BWP를 (L1 시그널링 또는 MAC CE(Control Element) 또는 RRC 시그널링 등에 의해) 활성화시킬 수 있다. 또한, 기지국은 다른 설정된 DL/UL BWP로 스위칭을 (L1 시그널링 또는 MAC CE 또는 RRC 시그널링 등에 의해) 지시할 수 있다. 또는, 타이머 기반으로 타이머 값이 만료되면 정해진 DL/UL BWP로 스위칭될 수도 있다. 이때, 활성화된 DL/UL BWP를 활성(active) DL/UL BWP로 정의한다. 하지만, 단말이 초기 접속(initial access) 과정을 수행하는 중이거나, 혹은 RRC 연결이 셋업(set up)되기 전 등의 상황에서는 DL/UL BWP에 대한 설정을 수신하지 못할 수 있으므로, 이러한 상황에서 단말이 가정하는 DL/UL BWP는 최초 활성 DL/UL BWP라고 정의한다.
도 6은 본 개시가 적용될 수 있는 무선 통신 시스템에서 이용되는 물리 채널들 및 이들을 이용한 일반적인 신호 송수신 방법을 예시한다.
무선 통신 시스템에서 단말은 기지국으로부터 하향링크(downlink)를 통해 정보를 수신하고, 단말은 기지국으로 상향링크(uplink)를 통해 정보를 전송한다. 기지국과 단말이 송수신하는 정보는 데이터 및 다양한 제어 정보를 포함하고, 이들이 송수신 하는 정보의 종류/용도에 따라 다양한 물리 채널이 존재한다.
도 6의 제2 노드는 DSS(dynamic spectrum sharing)을 지원하여 6G 기술이 구현되는 노드 뿐만 아니라 6G 이전의 무선통신(예: 5G, 4G) 기술이 구현되는 노드 모두에게 연결을 제공할 수 있다. 즉, 도 6의 제1 노드는 6G 기술이 구현되거나 6G 이전의 무선통신(예: 5G, 4G) 기술이 구현될 수도 있다. 또한, 제1 노드 및/또는 제2 노드는 non-overlapping full duplex 모드 뿐만 아니라 full duplex 모드를 지원할 수 있다.
도 6에서는 설명의 간략화를 위해 제1 노드와 제2 노드를 각각 단말과 기지국으로 가정하고, 단말(110) 및 기지국(120)이 데이터를 송신 및/또는 수신하는 동작 및 이에 앞서 수행되는 동작들을 예시한다. 다만, 도 6의 동작은 단말과 기지국 간의 동작으로 한정되지 않고, 제1 노드와 제2 노드 간의 동작으로 해석될 수 있다. 또한, 도 6에서는 단말(110) 및 기지국(120) 간의 직접적인 무선 신호의 송수신 동작을 예시하지만, 단말(110) 및 기지국(120) 간의 하나 이상의 중간 포인트가 존재하고, 하나 이상의 중간 포인트를 경유하여 무선 신호가 송수신될 수 있다.
도 6을 참고하면, 101 단계에서, 단말(110) 및 기지국(120)은 동기화를 수행한다. 예를 들어, 단말(110)은 초기 셀 탐색(initial cell search) 동작을 수행한다. 구체적으로, 단말(110)은 기지국(120)으로부터 미리 정의된 규칙에 따라 송신되는 적어도 하나의 기지국 연결을 위한 동기 신호를 검출할 수 있다. 여기서, 동기 신호는 구조 또는 용도에 따라 분류되는 복수의 동기 신호들(예: 제1 동기 신호 (예를 들어, 프라이머리 동기 신호), 제2 동기 신호 (예를 들어, 세컨더리 동기 신호), 등)을 포함할 수 있다. 이를 통해, 단말(110)은 기지국(120)의 무선신호 전송을 구성하는 단위(예를 들어, 프레임, 서브프레임, 슬롯 및/또는 심볼)의 경계(boundary)를 확인하고, 기지국(120)에 대한 정보(예: 셀 식별자)를 획득할 수 있다.

105 단계에서, 단말(110) 및 기지국(120)은 랜덤 액세스 절차를 수행한다. 단말(110)은 시스템 정보를 통해 획득된 기지국(120)의 랜덤 액세스 절차를 위한 채널에 관련된 정보(예: 채널 위치, 채널 구조, 지원되는 프리앰블의 구조 등)에 기반하여 랜덤 액세스 절차를 위한 적어도 하나의 메시지(예: 랜덤 액세스 프리앰블, RAR(random access response) 메시지 등)을 송신 및/또는 수신할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 단말(110)은 랜덤 액세스 절차를 위한 채널을 통해 제1 메시지(예: 프리앰블, MSG1)을 송신하고, 제2 메시지(예: RAR 메시지, MSG2)를 수신하고, 제2 메시지에 포함되는 스케줄링 정보를 이용하여 단말(110)에 관련된 정보(예: 식별 정보)를 포함하는 제3 메시지(예: MSG3)를 기지국(120)에게 송신하고, 경쟁 해소(contention resolution) 및/또는 연결 설정을 위한 제4 메시지(예: MSG4)를 수신할 수 있다. 다른 예로, 제1 메시지와 제3 메시지는 하나의 메시지로서, 또는 제2 메시지와 제4 메시지는 하나의 메시지로서 송신 및 수신될 수 있다.

DCI format 1_0은 하나의 DL 셀에서 PDSCH의 스케줄링을 위해 사용된다. DCI format 1_0에 포함된 정보는 C-RNTI 또는 CS-RNTI 또는 MCS-C-RNTI에 의해 CRC 스크램블링되어 전송된다.
DCI format 1_1은 하나의 셀에서 PDSCH의 스케줄링을 위해 사용된다. DCI format 1_1에 포함되는 정보는 C-RNTI 또는 CS-RNTI 또는 MCS-C-RNTI에 의해 CRC 스크램블링되어 전송된다.
DCI format 1_2는 하나의 셀에서 PDSCH의 스케줄링을 위해 사용된다. DCI format 1_2에 포함되는 정보는 C-RNTI 또는 CS-RNTI 또는 MCS-C-RNTI에 의해 CRC 스크램블링되어 전송된다.
준-동일 위치(QCL: Quasi-Co Location)
안테나 포트는 안테나 포트 상의 심볼이 운반되는 채널이 동일한 안테나 포트 상의 다른 심볼이 운반되는 채널로부터 추론될 수 있도록 정의된다. 하나의 안테나 포트 상의 심볼이 운반되는 채널의 특성(property)이 다른 안테나 포트 상의 심볼이 운반되는 채널로부터 유추될 수 있는 경우, 2 개의 안테나 포트는 QC/QCL(quasi co-located 혹은 quasi co-location) 관계에 있다고 할 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 채널 특성은 지연 확산(Delay spread), 도플러 확산(Doppler spread), 주파수/도플러 쉬프트(Frequency/Doppler shift), 평균 수신 파워(Average received power), 수신 타이밍/평균지연(Received Timing / average delay), 공간 수신 파라미터(Spatial Rx parameter) 중 하나 이상을 포함한다. 여기서 공간 수신 파라미터(Spatial Rx parameter)는 도달 각도(angle of arrival)과 같은 공간적인 (수신) 채널 특성 파라미터를 의미한다.
단말은 해당 단말 및 주어진 serving cell에 대해 의도된 DCI를 가지는 검출된 PDCCH에 따라 PDSCH를 디코딩하기 위해, 상위 계층 파라미터 PDSCH-Config 내 M 개까지의 TCI-State 설정의 리스트로 설정될 수 있다. 상기 M은 UE 능력(capability)에 의존한다.
각각의 TCI-State는 하나 또는 두 개의 DL 참조 신호와 PDSCH의 DM-RS 포트 사이의 quasi co-location 관계를 설정하기 위한 파라미터를 포함한다.
Quasi co-location 관계는 첫 번째 DL RS에 대한 상위 계층 파라미터 qcl-Type1과 두 번째 DL RS에 대한 qcl-Type2 (설정된 경우)로 설정된다. 두 개의 DL RS의 경우, reference가 동일한 DL RS 또는 서로 다른 DL RS인지에 관계없이 QCL type은 동일하지 않다.
각 DL RS에 대응하는 quasi co-location 타입(type)은 QCL-Info의 higher layer parameter qcl-Type에 의해 주어지며, 다음 값 중 하나를 취할 수 있다:
- 'QCL-TypeA': {Doppler shift, Doppler spread, average delay, delay spread}
- 'QCL-TypeB': {Doppler shift, Doppler spread}
- 'QCL-TypeC': {Doppler shift, average delay}
- 'QCL-TypeD': {Spatial Rx parameter}
예를 들어, 목표 안테나 포트(target antenna port)가 특정 NZP CSI-RS 인 경우, 해당 NZP CSI-RS 안테나 포트(들)은 QCL-Type A관점에서는 특정 TRS와, QCL-Type D관점에서는 특정 SSB과 QCL되었다고 지시/설정될 수 있다. 이러한 지시/설정을 받은 단말은 QCL-TypeA TRS에서 측정된 Doppler, delay값을 이용해서 해당 NZP CSI-RS를 수신하고, QCL-TypeD SSB 수신에 사용된 수신 빔을 해당 NZP CSI-RS 수신에 적용할 수 있다.
UE는 8개까지의 TCI state들을 DCI 필드 'Transmission Configuration Indication'의 코드포인트(codepoint)에 매핑하기 위해 사용되는 MAC CE 시그널링에 의한 활성 명령(activation command)을 수신할 수 있다.
CSI 관련 동작
NR(New Radio) 시스템에서, CSI-RS(channel state information-reference signal)은 시간 및/또는 주파수 트래킹(time/frequency tracking), CSI 계산(computation), L1(layer 1)-RSRP(reference signal received power) 계산(computation) 및 이동성(mobility)를 위해 사용된다. 여기서, CSI computation은 CSI 획득(acquisition)과 관련되며, L1-RSRP computation은 빔 관리(beam management, BM)와 관련된다.
CSI(channel state information)은 단말과 안테나 포트 사이에 형성되는 무선 채널(혹은 링크라고도 함)의 품질을 나타낼 수 있는 정보를 통칭한다.
- 상기와 같은 CSI-RS의 용도 중 하나를 수행하기 위해, 단말(예: user equipment, UE)은 CSI와 관련된 설정(configuration) 정보를 RRC(radio resource control) signaling을 통해 기지국(예: general Node B, gNB)으로부터 수신한다.
상기 CSI와 관련된 configuration 정보는 CSI-IM(interference management) 자원(resource) 관련 정보, CSI 측정 설정(measurement configuration) 관련 정보, CSI 자원 설정(resource configuration) 관련 정보, CSI-RS 자원(resource) 관련 정보 또는 CSI 보고 설정(report configuration) 관련 정보 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
i) CSI-IM 자원 관련 정보는 CSI-IM 자원 정보(resource information), CSI-IM 자원 세트 정보(resource set information) 등을 포함할 수 있다. CSI-IM resource set은 CSI-IM resource set ID(identifier)에 의해 식별되며, 하나의 resource set은 적어도 하나의 CSI-IM resource를 포함한다. 각각의 CSI-IM resource는 CSI-IM resource ID에 의해 식별된다.
ii) CSI resource configuration 관련 정보는 CSI-ResourceConfig IE로 표현될 수 있다. CSI resource configuration 관련 정보는 NZP(non zero power) CSI-RS resource set, CSI-IM resource set 또는 CSI-SSB resource set 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 그룹을 정의한다. 즉, 상기 CSI resource configuration 관련 정보는 CSI-RS resource set list를 포함하며, 상기 CSI-RS resource set list는 NZP CSI-RS resource set list, CSI-IM resource set list 또는 CSI-SSB resource set list 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. CSI-RS resource set은 CSI-RS resource set ID에 의해 식별되고, 하나의 resource set은 적어도 하나의 CSI-RS resource를 포함한다. 각각의 CSI-RS resource는 CSI-RS resource ID에 의해 식별된다.
NZP CSI-RS resource set 별로 CSI-RS의 용도를 나타내는 parameter들(예: BM 관련 'repetition' parameter, tracking 관련 'trs-Info' parameter)이 설정될 수 있다.
또한, CSI 보고에 대하여 측정 자원(measurement resource)이 설정될 수 있다. 예를 들어, CSI 보고 설정을 통해 해당 측정 자원이 설정될 수 있다. 여기서, 측정 자원은 채널 측정을 위한 자원(예를 들어, CMR(channel measurement resource)), 간섭 측정을 위한 자원(예를 들어, IMR(interference measurement resource))을 포함할 수 있다. 측정 자원으로 설정되는 RS 자원(예를 들어, CSI-RS 자원, SSB 자원 등)은 CSI 보고에 대한 설정에 기반하는 측정 기회(들)에 위치할 수 있다.
iii) CSI 보고 설정(report configuration) 관련 정보는 시간 영역 행동(time domain behavior)을 나타내는 보고 설정 타입(reportConfigType) parameter 및 보고하기 위한 CSI 관련 quantity를 나타내는 보고량(reportQuantity) parameter를 포함한다. 상기 시간 영역 동작(time domain behavior)은 periodic, aperiodic 또는 semi-persistent일 수 있다.
- 단말은 상기 CSI와 관련된 configuration 정보에 기초하여 CSI를 측정(measurement)한다.
상기 CSI 측정은 (1) 단말의 CSI-RS 수신 과정과, (2) 수신된 CSI-RS를 통해 CSI를 계산(computation)하는 과정을 포함할 수 있으며, 이에 대하여 구체적인 설명은 후술한다.
CSI-RS는 higher layer parameter CSI-RS-ResourceMapping에 의해 시간(time) 및 주파수(frequency) 영역에서 CSI-RS resource의 RE(resource element) 매핑이 설정된다.
- 단말은 상기 측정된 CSI를 기지국으로 보고(report)한다.
여기서, CSI-ReportConfig의 quantity가 'none(또는 No report)'로 설정된 경우, 상기 단말은 상기 report를 생략할 수 있다. 다만, 상기 quantity가 'none(또는 No report)'로 설정된 경우에도 상기 단말은 기지국으로 report를 할 수도 있다. 상기 quantity가 'none'으로 설정된 경우는 aperiodic TRS를 trigger하는 경우 또는 repetition이 설정된 경우이다. 여기서, repetition이 'ON'으로 설정된 경우에만 상기 단말의 report를 생략할 수 있다.
인공지능(aritifical intelligence, AI) / 머신러닝(machine learning, ML) 관련 동작
본 개시에서 설명되는 차세대 RAT 시스템에 대하여 AI/ML이 도입/적용될 수 있다.
통신에 AI를 도입하면 실시간 데이터 전송이 간소화되고 향상될 수 있다. AI는 수많은 분석을 사용하여 복잡한 대상 작업이 수행되는 방식을 결정할 수 있다. 즉, AI는 효율성을 높이고 처리 지연을 줄일 수 있다. 핸드 오버, 네트워크 선택, 자원 스케쥴링과 같은 시간 소모적인 작업은 AI를 사용함으로써 즉시 수행될 수 있다. AI는 M2M, 기계-대-인간 및 인간-대-기계 통신에서도 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다. 또한, AI는 BCI(Brain Computer Interface)에서 신속한 통신이 될 수 있다. AI 기반 통신 시스템은 메타 물질, 지능형 구조, 지능형 네트워크, 지능형 장치, 지능형 인지 라디오(radio), 자체 유지 무선 네트워크 및 머신 러닝에 의해 지원될 수 있다.
이하에서는 AI/ML 동작을 위한 기능적 프레임워크(functional framework)를 설명한다.
이하, 보다 구체적인 AI(또는 AI/ML)의 설명을 위해 용어들을 다음과 같이 정의할 수 있다.
- 데이터 수집(Data collection): AI 모델 훈련(model training), 데이터 분석 및 추론(inference)을 위한 기반으로서, 네트워크 노드, 관리 개체(management entity) 또는 단말 등에서 수집된 데이터
- AI 모델(Model): 입력들의 집합을 기반으로, 예측 정보 및/또는 결정 파라미터들을 포함하는 출력들의 집합을 생성하는 AI 기술을 적용한 데이터 기반 알고리즘(data driven algorithm)
- AI/ML 훈련(Training): 데이터를 가장 잘 표시하고 추론을 위해 훈련된 AI/ML 모델을 획득하는 기능들과 패턴들을 학습(learning)함으로써 AI 모델을 훈련하는 온라인(online) 또는 오프라인(offline) 프로세스
- AI/ML 추론(Inference): 훈련된 AI 모델을 이용하여 수집된 데이터와 AI 모델에 기반하여 예측하거나 결정을 유도하는 프로세스
AI/ML 모델에 대한 LCM (Life Cycle Management) (즉, 모델 훈련, 모델 배포, 모델 추론, 모델 모니터링, 모델 업데이트 등) 절차는 기능(functionality) 기반 LCM과 모델 기반 LCM으로 구분될 수 있다. Functionality 기반 LCM에서 AI/ML 모델은 네트워크에서 식별되지 않을 수 있으며, 네트워크는 AI/ML functionality의 활성/비활성/폴백/스위칭을 지시할수 있다. 모델-ID(identifier) 기반 LCM에서 AI/ML 모델은 네트워크에서 식별될 수 있으며, 네트워크/단말은 모델 ID를 통해 AI/ML 모델을 활성/비활성/선택/스위치할 수 있다.
도 7에서는 Functionality 기반 LCM과 모델 기반 LCM 모두에 관련된 일반적인 기능적 아키텍처를 예시한다. 도 7에서 예시된 일부의 기능 또는 일부 데이터/정보/명령 흐름(즉, 화살표)은 생략될 수 있다.
도 7을 참조하면, 일반적인 functional framework는 데이터 수집 (Data Collection) function (10), 모델 훈련 (Model Training) 기능(20), 관리(Management) 기능(30), 추론(Inference) 기능(40), 모델 저장(Model Storage) 기능(50)을 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
Data Collection 기능(10)은 Model Training 기능(20), Management 기능(30), Inference 기능(40)에 입력 데이터를 제공하는 기능이다. Data collection 기능(10)은 원데이터(raw data)를 기반으로 데이터 준비(data preparation)를 수행하고, data preparation를 통해 가공된 입력 데이터를 제공할 수 있다. 원데이터(raw data)의 예로서, 단말들 또는 다른 네트워크 개체(network entity)로부터의 수신 데이터/측정 데이터, AI/ML 모델의 추론/출력 등이 포함될 수 있다. Data Collection 기능(10)은 단일의 개체(예를 들어, 단말, 네트워크 노드 등)에 의해 수행될 수도 있지만 복수의 개체들에 의해 수행될 수도 있다.
여기서, 훈련 데이터(Training Data)(11)는 AI/ML Model Training 기능 (20)을 위한 입력으로 필요한 데이터를 지칭한다. 모니터링 데이터(Monitoring data)(12)는 AI/ML 모델 또는 AI/ML 기능의 Management (30)을 위한 입력으로서 필요한 데이터를 지칭한다. 추론 데이터(Inference Data)(13)는 AI/ML Inference 기능(30)을 위한 입력으로서 필요한 데이터를 지칭한다.
Model Training 기능(20)은 AI/ML 모델 테스트 절차의 일부로 사용할 수 있는 모델 성능 메트릭(metric)을 생성할 수 있는 AI/ML 모델 훈련(model training), 검증(validation) 및 테스트(test)를 수행하는 기능이다. Model Training 기능(20)은 필요한 경우 Data Collection 기능(10)으로부터 전달된 Training Data(11)를 기반으로 데이터 준비(예: data pre-processing 및 cleaning, forming 및 transformation)를 수행할 수 있다.
훈련된(trained)/업데이트된(updated) 모델(21): Model Storage 기능(50)이 있는 경우, 훈련, 검증 및 테스트된 AI/ML 모델을 Model Storage 기능(50)에 전달하거나 모델의 업데이트된 버전을 Model Storage 기능(50)에 전달하는 데 사용된다.
Management 기능(30)은 AI/ML 모델 또는 AI/ML 기능의 운영을 감독하는 기능이다. 또한, Management 기능(30)은 Data Collection 기능(10)으로부터 수신한 데이터(즉, Monitoring Data(12)) 및/또는 Inference 기능(40)으로부터 수신한 데이터(즉, 추론 출력(Inference Output)(41))를 기반으로 적절한 추론 동작을 보장하기 위한 결정을 수행할 수도 있다.
관리 지시(Management Instruction) (32)는 Inference 기능(40)을 관리하기 위해 입력으로 필요한 정보이다. 관련 정보는 AI/ML 모델 또는 AI/ML 기반 기능의 선택/(비)활성화/전환을 포함할 수 있으며, 또한 non-AI/ML 동작으로의 폴백(즉, 추론 프로세스에 의존하지 않음) 등이 포함될 수 있다.
모델 전송/전달 요청(Model Transfer/Delivery Request) (33)은 Model Storage (50)에게 모델(들)을 요청하기 위해 사용될 수 있다.

Inference 기능(40)은 Data Collection (10)에 의해 제공된 데이터(즉, Inference Data(13))를 입력으로 사용하여 AI/ML 모델 또는 AI/ML 기능을 적용하는 과정으로부터 출력을 제공하는 기능이다. Data Collection (10)에 의해 전달된 Inference Data (13)를 기반으로 데이터 준비(예: 데이터 전처리 및 정리, 형식화 및 변환)를 수행할 수도 있다. Inference 기능(40)은 필요한 경우 Data Collection 기능(10)에 의해 제공하는 Inference Data(13)를 기반으로 데이터 준비(예: data pre-processing 및 cleaning, forming 및 transformation)를 수행할 수도 있다.
추론 출력(Inference Output)(41)은 AI/ML 모델 또는 AI/ML 기능의 성능을 모니터링하기 위해 Management 기능(30)에서 사용되는 데이터이다. Inference Output (41)은 Inference 기능(30)에 의해 생성된 AI/ML 모델의 추론 출력을 포함할 수도 있으며, 추론 출력의 세부 정보는 사용 사례에 따라 다를 수 있다.
Model Storage 기능(50)은 Inference 기능(40)을 수행하는 데 사용할 수 있는 학습/업데이트된 모델을 저장하는 기능이다. 도 7에서 예시된 Model Storage 기능(50)은 프로토콜 종료, 모델 전송/전달 및 관련 프로세스에 적용 가능한 경우 참조 지점(있는 경우)으로 사용될 수 있다. 또한, Model Storage 기능(50)은 하나의 예시이며 실제 Al/ML 모델의 저장 위치를 제한하는 것을 의도하는 것은 아니고, 생략될 수도 있다.
모델 전송/전달(Model Transfer/Delivery) (51)은 AI/ML 모델을 추론 기능에 전달하기 위해 사용된다.
복수의 노드 사이의 AI/ML function의 능력의(capable) 여부에 따라 협력레벨을 다음과 같이 정의할 수 있으며, 하기 복수의 레벨의 결합 혹은 어느 하나의 레벨의 분리로 인한 변형도 가능하다.
Cat 0a) 협력이 없는 프레임워크(No collaboration framework): AI/ML 알고리즘은 순수 구현 기반이며 무선 인터페이스 변경이 필요하지 않는다.
Cat 0b) 이 레벨은 효율적인 구현 기반 AI/ML 알고리즘에 맞추어 수정된 무선 인터페이스를 수반하지만 협력은 없는 프레임워크에 해당한다.
Cat 1) 각 노드의 AI/ML 알고리즘을 개선하기 위한 노드 간 지원이 수반된다. 예를 들어, 이는 특정 노드가 다른 노드 (훈련, 적응 등을 위해)로부터 지원을 받는 경우에 적용되며, 그 반대의 경우도 마찬가지이다. 이 레벨에서는 네트워크 노드 간의 모델 교환이 필요하지 않는다.
Cat 2) 복수의 노드 간의 공동 AI/ML 작업이 수행될 수 있다. 이 레벨은 AI/ML 모델 명령 또는 네트워크 노드 간의 교환이 필요하다.
도 7은 AI/ML 모델에 대한 전반적인 기능적인 프레임워크를 예시하기 위한 도면에 해당하며, 도 7에 예시된 모든 기능들 및/또는 모든 데이터/정보/명령 신호들이 특정 노드 내에서 수행되지 않고 일부만이 수행될 수도 있다.
Al/ML 모델은 훈련 및/또는 추론이 하나의 노드에서 수행되는지 복수의 노드에서 공동으로/순차적으로 수행되는지 등에 따라 One-side model과 Two-side model로 구분될 수 있다.
One-side model은 전적으로 하나의 노드(예: 단말 또는 네트워크)에 의해 추론이 수행되는 AI/ML 모델을 의미할 수 있다. 여기서, AI/ML 모델의 훈련도 하나의 노드에 의해 전적으로 수행될 수 있다. AI/ML 모델의 훈련과 추론이 동일한 노드에 의해 수행될 수도 있으며, AI/ML 모델의 훈련과 추론은 각각 다른 노드에 의해 수행될 수도 있다.
Two-side model은 복수의 노드 (예: 단말 및 네트워크)에서 공동의(joint) 추론이 수행되는 AI/ML 모델을 의미할 수 있다. Joint 추론은 복수의 노드에 걸쳐 공동으로 추론이 수행되는 것을 의미하며, 예를 들어, 제1 노드에 의해 추론의 제1 부분이 수행되고, 제2 노드에 의해 추론의 나머지 부분이 수행될 수 있다. Two-side model은 AI/ML 모델의 훈련 방식에 따라 다음과 같이 여러가지 타입으로 구분될 수 있다.
- 첫번째 타입: 하나의 노드에서 AI/ML 모델이 훈련될 수 있다. 이 경우, 공동의(joint) 훈련이 수행될 수 있다. 이후 훈련된 모델은 다른 노드/개체로 배포될 수 있다.
- 두번째 타입: 복수의 노드/개체 (예: 네트워크 및 단말)에서 각각 AI/ML 모델의 공동(joint) 훈련이 수행될 수 있다. 공동(jointly) 훈련은 모델 생성(예를 들어, CSI 생성 부분)과 모델 재구축(CSI를 서브-활용케이스 별로 CSI 압축)이 전방 활성(forward activation), 역방향 그래디언트(backward gradient)에 대한 동일한 루프에서 훈련된다는 것을 의미할 수 있다. 이 타입에서 공동(joint) 훈련은 동시의(simultaneous) 훈련(즉, 모델 생성 훈련과 모델 재구축 훈련이 동시 수행)과 순차적(sequential) 훈련(즉, 모델 생성 훈련 이후에 모델 재구축 훈련 수행)을 모두 포함할 수 있다.
- 세번째 타입: 복수의 노드 (예: 네트워크 및 단말)에서 각각 AI/ML 모델의 개별(separate) 훈련이 수행될 수 있다. 개별(separate) 훈련은 어느 하나의 노드에서 순차적으로 훈련이 시작되어 다른 노드에서 이어 훈련이 수행되는 것을 의미할 수 있다. 이 경우, 제1 노드가 먼저 AI/ML 모델을 수행하고, 훈련 데이터를 제2 노드에게 공유하면, 제2 노드는 공유된 훈련 데이터를 이용하여 AI/ML 모델을 수행할 수 있다. 예를 들어, CSI 생성 부분에 대한 훈련은 단말에 의해 수행되고, CSI 재구축은 네트워크에 의해 수행될 수 있다.
후술하는 본 개시에서 기술하는 동작은 별도의 언급이 없더라도 (즉, AI/ML 모델에 의한/기반한/위한 등의 명시적인 언급이 없더라도) 아래 도 8과 같이 AI/ML 모델에 기반하여 본 개시에서 제안하는 동작이 설명/해석될 수 있다.
또한, 본 개시의 설명에서 특별히 한정하지 않는 한, AI/ML 모델은 하나의 노드에 의해 추론이 전적으로 수행되는 One-side model 또는 복수의 노드에서 공동의(joint) 추론이 수행되는 Two-side model에 해당할 수 있다.
1 단계: 후술하는 본 개시의 설명에서 특정 노드 (예: 단말, 네트워크 등)와 다른 노드 간의 시그널링(예: 정보/데이터/채널/신호 등) 또는 시그널링의 집합은, 별도의 언급이 없더라도, AI/ML 모델에 기반한 동작을 수행하기 위해 이용되는 1 단계의 시그널링 또는 시그널링의 집합으로 해석될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도 7의 AI/ML 모델의 훈련(즉, 생성 및/또는 재구축)을 위해 훈련 데이터에 해당하거나 또는 AI/ML 모델의 추론을 위해 이용하여 추론 데이터에 해당하거나 또는 AI/ML 모델에 대한 피드백 등에 해당할 수 있다. 만약, 본 개시에서 AI/ML 모델에 기반한 동작에 선행하여 노드 간의 시그널링이 필요하지 않은 경우, 1 단계는 생략될 수 있다. 본 개시에서 One-side model이 이용되는 경우, 본 개시에서의 단방향/양방향의 시그널링 (집합)이 1 단계의 시그널링에 해당될 수 있다. 또한, 본 개시에서 Two-side model이 이용되는 경우, 본 개시에서의 단방향/양방향의 시그널링이 1 단계의 시그널링에 해당될 수 있으며, 또한 반복적인 시그널링 동작이 1 단계의 시그널링에 해당될 수도 있다.
예를 들어, AI/ML 모델 기반 BM(beam management)에 있어서, 기지국에 의해 AI/ML 모델에 기반하여 품질이 양호한 빔(들)이 예측(즉, 추론)되는 경우, 기지국은 단말로부터 다수 빔들에 대한 품질/세기 정보를 수신할 수 있다. 또한, 단말에 의해 AI/ML 모델에 기반하여 품질이 양호한 빔(들)을 예측(즉, 추론)되는 경우, 단말은 기지국으로부터 다수의 빔들을 수신할 수 있다.
2 단계: 후술하는 본 개시의 설명에서 특정 노드 (예: 단말, 네트워크 등)에서의 동작 (예: 계산, 선택, 예측 등) 또는 복수의 노드 (예: 단말, 네트워크 등)에서의 공동의 동작 (예: 계산, 선택, 예측 등)은 별도의 언급이 없더라도 AI/ML 모델의 기능적 프레임워크(functional framework)에서 하나 이상의 기능에 기반한 2 단계의 동작에 해당할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도 7의 AI/ML 모델의 훈련(즉, 생성 및/또는 재구축)에 해당하거나 또는 AI/ML 모델의 추론 등에 해당할 수 있다. One-side model이 이용되는 경우, 본 개시에서 단일의 노드에 의해 수행되는 동작이 2 단계의 동작에 해당될 수 있으며, 또한 Two-side model이 이용되는 경우, 본 개시에서의 복수의 노드에 의해 수행되는 공동의 동작이 2 단계의 동작에 해당될 수 있다.
예를 들어, AI/ML 모델 기반 BM에 있어서, 기지국은 단말로부터 수신한 다수 빔들에 대한 품질/세기 정보를 추론 데이터로 이용하여 AI/ML 모델에 기반하여 품질이 양호한 빔(들)을 예측(즉, 추론)할 수 있다. 또한, 단말은 기지국으로부터 수신한 다수 빔을 측정하고, 측정 결과를 추론 데이터로 이용하여 AI/ML 모델에 기반하여 품질이 양호한 빔(들)을 예측(즉, 추론)할 수 있다.
3 단계: 후술하는 본 개시의 설명에서 특정 노드 (예: 단말, 네트워크 등)와 다른 노드 간의 시그널링(예: 정보/데이터/채널/신호 등) 또는 시그널링의 집합은, 별도의 언급이 없더라도, AI/ML 모델에 기반한 동작으로 인하여(결과로서) 생성된 3 단계의 시그널링 또는 시그널링의 집합으로 해석될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도 7의 AI/ML 모델의 추론으로 인한 출력 등에 해당할 수 있다. 만약, 본 개시에서 AI/ML 모델에 기반한 동작에 따른 결과로서 노드 간의 시그널링이 필요하지 않은 경우, 3 단계는 생략될 수 있다. 본 개시에서 One-side model이 이용되는 경우, 본 개시에서의 단방향/양방향의 시그널링 (집합)이 3 단계의 시그널링에 해당될 수 있다. 또한, 본 개시에서 Two-side model이 이용되는 경우, 본 개시에서의 단방향/양방향의 시그널링이 3 단계의 시그널링에 해당될 수 있으며, 또한 반복적인 시그널링 동작이 3 단계의 시그널링에 해당될 수도 있다.
예를 들어, AI/ML 모델 기반 BM에 있어서, 기지국은 단말이 최적의 빔을 결정할 수 있도록 후보로서 AI/ML 모델에 기반하여 예측한 빔(들)을 단말에게 전송할 수 있다. 또한, 단말은 최적의 빔을 결정하기 위한 후보로서 기지국의 후보 빔 전송을 요구하기 위해, AI/ML 모델에 기반하여 예측한 빔(들)을 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다.
단말에 의해 개시되는 빔 보고(beam report)에서의 처리 시간(processing time)
무선 통신 시스템에서는, CSI 보고/피드백의 한 형태로 단말이 기지국에게 DL 참조 신호(예를 들어, SSB, CSI-RS 등)에 대한 측정값(예를 들어, 측정 전력)을 기반으로 하여 RSRP(예를 들어, L1-RSRP) 및/또는 SINR(예를 들어, L1-SINR)의 값을 보고하는 빔 보고가 지원될 수 있다. 즉, 해당 빔 보고는 CSI 측정 및 보고 설정에 대한 프레임워크를 활용하여 수행될 수 있다. 이와 관련하여, 기지국은 빔 보고를 위한 UL 자원 및 설정을 사전에 설정하여 단말에게 제공하며, 단말은 해당 설정을 기반으로 빔에 대한 정보를 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다.
무선 통신 시스템에서, 레이어 1(예를 들어, 물리(physical) 레이어)의 상향링크 제어 정보는 상위 레이어의 제어 정보에 비해 전달 지연 시간이 작은 장점이 있다. 일 예로, MAC-CE 또는 RRC 메시지를 통해 단말이 기지국에게 어떠한 정보를 전달하기 위해서는, 단말의 SR(scheduling request) 절차 및 (해당 SR에 기반하는) 기지국의 PUSCH 할당 절차가 필요할 수 있으며, 이에 따른 지연 시간 및 오버헤드가 존재할 수 있다. 또한, 일반적으로 상위 계층 정보일수록 정보를 해독하기 위해 필요한 시간(예를 들어, 디코딩 시간, 처리(processing) 시간)이 더 길 수 있다. 또한, 레이어 1의 UL 제어 정보를 송신하기 위해서는, UL 물리 채널 자원(예를 들어, PUCCH, PUSCH)이 해당 단말에게 (미리) 설정/할당될 필요가 있다. 즉, 네트워크(network, NW)(또는 기지국) 측면에서 단말(UE)가 많아질수록 각 단말마다 할당해주어야 하는 UL 자원량이 증가하므로, 전체적인 UL 자원 활용에 대한 오버헤드가 커질 수 있다.
따라서, 무선 통신 시스템에서는, 물리 계층의 동작 등을 위해 비교적 긴급하게 전달되어야 하는 정보(예를 들어, (PUSCH 할당을 위한) SR, (재전송을 위한) HARQ-ACK, (스케줄링, MCS, 프리코더 결정을 위한) CSI, (디지털/아날로그 빔 결정을 위한) 빔 정보)를 물리 계층 상향링크 제어 정보(uplink control information, UCI)로서 전달한다. 이와 같은 예시의 정보 중에서 SR을 제외하면, 네트워크(또는 기지국)이 단말의 정보 보고 시점을 결정/제어한다.
다만, 네트워크에 의해 개시/트리거되는 보고는 무선 채널이 급격히 변화할 가능성이 있는/높은 환경에서는 단말이 UCI를 빈번하게 송신하도록 설정/지시해야 하는 한계가 있다. 즉, 이러한 환경에서는 UCI 보고를 위한 UL 자원 오버헤드 및 관련 DL 측정 RS 오버헤드가 커지며, 단말의 빈번한 UL 송신에 의해 단말의 전력 소모도 커지는 문제점이 발생할 수 있다. 또한, 셀/TRP 커버리지 내에 단말의 수가 많을수록 단말마다 UL 자원이 할당되어야 하므로 UL 자원에 대한 오버헤드가 커진다.
전술한 바와 같은 네트워크에 의해 개시/트리거되는 보고의 한계를 극복하기 위해, 단말에 의해 개시/트리거되는 보고 방식 및/또는 이벤트 기반/트리거되는 보고 방식이 고려될 수 있다. 단말에 의해 개시/트리거되는 보고 방식 및/또는 이벤트 기반/트리거되는 보고 방식의 경우, 보고 여부 및/또는 시점은 단말에 의해 결정될 수 있다. 즉, 필요한 경우(예를 들어, 특정 이벤트가 발생하는 경우)에만 단말이 해당 보고(예를 들어, UCI 보고)를 수행하도록 하여, UL 자원 오버헤드 및 단말 전력 소모가 감소할 수 있다. 또한, 낮은 레이어(예를 들어, 레이어 1) 기반으로 정보를 보고하기 때문에 네트워크에게 신속한 보고를 수행할 수 있는 기술적 효과도 있다.
단말에 의해 개시/트리거되는 보고 방식과 관련하여, 빔 보고를 위한 특정 이벤트(event)를 정의하고, 단말이 이벤트의 발생 여부를 판단하여 해당 이벤트가 발생한 경우에만 빔 보고를 수행하는 방식이 고려될 수 있다. 설명의 명료성을 위하여, 본 개시에서는 해당 빔 보고 방식을 단말 개시 빔 보고(UE initiated beam report)로 지칭한다.
본 개시에서는 단말 개시 빔 보고 시, 해당 보고를 위한 처리 시간(예를 들어, CSI 처리 시간 Z, Z')을 적용/설정하기 위한 다양한 방법을 제안한다.
먼저, 기존의 CSI 보고(예를 들어, 네트워크에 의해 개시되는 CSI/빔 보고)를 위한 CSI 처리 시간 Z, Z'은 표 6과 같이 정의 및 이용될 수 있다. 또한, 표 7 및 표 8은 CSI 처리 시간 Z, Z'와 관련하여, CSI 계산 딜레이 요구 사항들을 예시한다.
여기서, Z 값 및 Z' 값은 비주기적(aperiodic, AP) CSI 보고에만 적용되는 값일 수 있다. 구체적으로, Z 값은 비주기적 CSI 보고를 트리거하는 UL 스케줄링 DCI의 수신 완료 시점부터 해당 비주기적 CSI 보고의 송신 시작 시점까지 단말이 CSI 처리에 필요한 최소 시간을 정의한다. 또한, Z' 값은 비주기적 측정(예를 들어, 비주기적 CMR/IMR 측정)의 마지막 시점부터 비주기적 CSI 보고의 송신 시작 시점까지 단말이 CSI 처리에 필요한 최소 시간을 정의한다.

기지국은 Z 값 및 Z' 값 이상이 되도록 시UL 채널의 시간 영역 자원을 스케줄링해야하며, 그렇지 않은 경우 단말은 CSI 처리를 위한 충분한 시간을 보장 받을 수 없으며, CSI 보고를 수행하지 못할 수 있다.
또한, Z' 값은 비주기적 CSI 보고에 대한 CSI 참조 자원(예를 들어, 슬롯)의 결정에 사용되며, 단말이 해당 CSI 계산을 위한 채널/간섭 측정을 수행할 수 있는 마지막 슬롯을 결정할 수 있다. 이와 같이 마지막 슬롯이 결정되더라도 해당 슬롯 내에서 뒷부분의 일부 심볼들이 측정에 사용되는 경우, 단말의 CSI 처리 시간이 부족할 수 있다.
이러한 점을 고려하여, 비주기적 CSI 보고의 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)으로 주기적 또는 반-지속적 CSI-RS가 설정된 경우, 비주기적 CSI 보고의 송신 시작 시점 - Z'(심볼) 이전에 측정이 종료되어야 하는 제한이 존재한다. 또한, 이러한 점을 고려하여, 비주기적 CSI 보고의 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)으로 비주기적 CSI-RS가 설정된 경우, 비주기적 CSI 보고의 송신 시작 시점 - Z'(심볼) 또는 그 이후에 비주기적 측정 자원이 설정되면 단말은 CSI 보고를 수행하지 못할 수 있다.
본 개시에서 제안하는 단말 개시 빔 보고의 경우, 다양한 방식들에 기반하여 해당 보고를 수행할 UL 채널이 설정/지시될 수 있으며, 그 중 다음과 같은 방식이 고려될 수 있다.
단말 개시 빔 보고를 위해 단말은 사전에 정의된 특정 이벤트의 만족/충족 여부를 판단하며(예를 들어, 이벤트 모니터링을 수행하며), 이를 기반으로 이벤트 만족/충족 여부를 (SR 또는 RACH를 통해) 보고할 수 있다. 또는 이벤트 발생 시, 단말은 빔 보고를 수행하기 스케줄링을 기지국에게 요청할 수 있다. 이후, 기지국이 비주기적 CSI 보고를 트리거하는 DCI를 통해 해당 빔 양(beam quantity) 보고를 위한 UL 채널을 스케줄링할 수 있으며, 단말은 해당 UL 채널을 통해 빔 양에 대한 보고를 수행할 수 있다. 일 예로, 단말에 의해 보고되는 빔 양은 CRI, SSB 인덱스, L1-RSRP, 및/또는 L1-SINR을 포함할 수 있다.
즉, 기지국은 단말로부터 이벤트 발생에 대한 보고를 받으면, 그 이후 과정은 기존의 비주기적 CSI 보고 방식과 유사할 수 있다. 다만, 단말 개시 빔 보고의 경우, 단말은 이벤트 모니터링을 수행하는 과정에서 이미 빔 양에 대한 계산을 완료했을 수 있다. 이는, 단말이 비주기적 CSI 보고를 트리거링하는 DCI를 수신한 후에 빔 양에 대한 계산을 수행하는 기존의 동작과는 차이가 있다.
예를 들어, 단말이 특정 빔 집합으로 구성된 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)의 L1-RSRP가 특정 값 이상이 되는지를 모니터링하고, 특정 값(예를 들어, 임계값) 보다 크거나 같은 경우에 해당 특정 빔 집합으로 구성된 측정 자원에서 L1-RSRP를 계산하여 보고하도록, 단말 개시 빔 보고가 설정될 수 있다. 이 경우, 이벤트 모니터링을 위한 측정 자원과 빔 양에 대한 계산을 위한 측정 자원이 동일하므로 이벤트 모니터링 과정에서 이미 빔 양에 대한 계산이 완료되었다.
따라서, 단말 개시 빔 보고의 경우, 단말은 기존의 비주기적 CSI 보고의 CSI 처리 시간보다 더 짧은 시간에 해당 보고에 대한 처리를 수행할 수 있다.
도 9는 본 개시의 실시예가 적용될 수 있는 2-단계 기반의 단말 개시 빔 보고를 예시한다.
도 9를 참조하면, 단말이 보고를 수행하는 잠재적 UL 채널은 이벤트 발생 유무에 대한 보고가 수행되는 채널과 빔 양에 대한 보고가 수행되는 채널로 구분될 수 있다. 또한, 설명의 편의를 위하여, 도 9에서는 측정 자원에 하나의 주기적 CSI-RS가 설정됨을 가정한다. 또한, 빔 양에 대한 보고가 비주기적인 것으로 설정되는 경우, 해당 보고를 트리거링하는 DCI가 이벤트 발생 유무에 대한 보고 이후에 기지국에 의해 단말에게 송신될 수 있다.
이하에서는, 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 처리 시간과 관련하여 단말이 해당 보고의 처리에 요구되는 최소 시간을 정의하는 값(예를 들어, 전술한 Z 값, Z' 값)을 설정/적용하는 방법들을 구체적인 예시들을 통해 설명한다.
실시예 1
본 실시예는 단말 개시 빔 보고에 대하여, 빔 양에 대한 보고를 트리거링하는 DCI와 해당 보고 간의 최소 시간(예를 들어, 전술한 Z 값)을 설정/적용하는 방안에 대한 것이다.
단말 개시 빔 보고의 경우, Z 값을 기존의 값(예를 들어, 표 6 내지 표 8에서 설명된 기-정의된 Z 값)보다 작게 설정하는 방식이 적용될 수 있다. 여기서, 기존의 값은 네트워크에 의해 개시되는 CSI/빔 보고에 대해 설정된 Z 값을 의미할 수 있다.
단말 개시 빔 보고의 경우, 단말은 DCI에 대한 디코딩을 완료한 후 미리 계산된(또는 미리 인코딩된) 빔 양에 대한 값/정보를 해당 DCI에 의해 스케줄링된 UL 채널을 통해 바로 기지국에게 보고/송신할 수 있다. 따라서, 이 경우, Z 값은 DCI의 디코딩에 필요한 시간(예를 들어, DCI 디코딩 시간) 정도만 고려하여 짧게 설정될 수 있거나, 단말은 Z 값의 적용을 받지 않을 수도 있다.
예를 들어, 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 새로운 Z 값은 기존의 Z 값을 이용하여 수학식 3과 같이 설정될 수 있다.
수학식 3에서, r1 값은 새로운 z 값의 세팅/설정을 위한 비율(ratio)에 대한 것으로, 1 보다 작은 값일 수 있다. 단말은 특정 후보 값들 중 하나를 선택하여 r1 값으로서 기지국에게 보고하거나, 직접 특정 값을 r1 값으로서 기지국에게 보고할 수도 있다. 또는, r1 값은 기지국에 의해 단말에게 설정/제공될 수도 있다.
예를 들어, 표 8을 참조하면, 서브캐리어 간격에 따라 빔 보고의 Z 값(예를 들어, Z3 값)의 결정 방식이 다를 수 있으며, 서브캐리어 간격이 15kHz, 30kHz인 경우 Z 값은 특정 값으로 고정되지만, 서브캐리어 간격이 60kHz 이상인 경우에는 Z 값은 min(Z1, X+KB)으로 결정될 수 있다. 이를 기반으로 하여, 본 실시예의 제안 방법을 적용할 때, 새로운 Z 값(예를 들어, 새로운 Z3 값)은 min(new Z1, X+KB)로 결정되며, 여기서 new Z1은 기존의 Z1 값을 기준으로 수학식 3을 적용하여 결정/계산될 수 있다. 또는, 단말 개시 빔 보고의 경우, 기존의 수식(예를 들어, min(Z1, X+KB)) 대신에 Z3 = Z1의 수식에 따라 결정될 수도 있다.
또한, 단말 개시 빔 보고에 대하여, 단말의 구현에 따라 기존의 Z 값을 이용할지, 또는 새로운 Z 값을 이용할지 상이할 수 있다. 따라서, 단말은 이와 관련하여, 자신이 이용할 Z 값(예를 들어, 기존의 Z 값 또는 새로운 Z 값)에 대한 정보를 단말의 능력 정보로서 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다. 또한, 단말은 새로운 Z 값을 위한 r1 값에 대한 정보도 능력 정보로서 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다.
실시예 2
본 실시예는 단말 개시 빔 보고에 대하여, 빔 양에 대한 보고를 위한 가장 최근의 측정(예를 들어, 채널/간섭 측정)과 해당 보고 간의 최소 시간(예를 들어, 전술한 Z' 값)을 설정/적용하는 방안에 대한 것이다.
(실시예 2-1)
전술한 바와 같이, 이미 이벤트 모니터링 단계에서 보고할 양(quantity)에 대한 계산이 완료된 경우, 단말은 기지국이 트리거한 비주기적 보고(예를 들어, 비주기적 빔/CSI 보고)에 설정된 비주기적 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)을 이용할 필요가 없다. 따라서, 기지국은 해당 비주기적 보고에 대해 비주기적 측정 자원을 설정하지 않거나, 설정된 경우에도 실제로는 해당 측정 자원을 송신하지 않을 수 있다. 추가적으로 또는 대안적으로, 해당 비주기적 보고에 비주기적 측정 자원이 설정된 경우에도, 단말은 해당 비주기적 측정 자원을 무시하고, 이용하지 않을 수 있다.
(실시예 2-2)
전술한 실시예 2-1의 경우, 빔 양에 대한 보고를 위한 UL 채널의 전송 시점이 늦어지는 경우(예를 들어, 이벤트 모니터링 시 빔 양에 대한 계산 시점과 해당 빔 양에 대한 보고를 위한 UL 채널의 전송 시점이 일정 기준을 초과하는 경우), 이벤트 모니터링 시에 계산된 보고 양은 효용성이 없을 수 있다(예를 들어, 구식(outdated)의 보고 양). 이러한 경우, 해당 비주기적 보고(예를 들어, 비주기적 빔/CSI 보고)에 설정된 비주기적 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)을 이용하여 보고 양에 대한 재계산을 수행하는 것이 필요할 수 있다.
이와 관련하여, Z' 값을 기존의 값(예를 들어, 표 6 내지 표 8에서 설명된 기-정의된 Z' 값)보다 작게 설정하는 방식이 적용될 수 있다. 여기서, 기존의 값은 네트워크에 의해 개시되는 CSI/빔 보고에 대해 설정된 Z' 값을 의미할 수 있다. 대안적으로, 이벤트 모니터링 단계에서 이미 보고 양에 대한 계산이 완료되었다면, 단말은 기지국이 트리거한 비주기적 보고에 설정된 비주기적 측정 자원을 이용할 필요가 없으며, 이 경우 단말은 Z' 값의 적용을 받지 않을 수 있다.
예를 들어, 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 새로운 Z' 값은 기존의 Z' 값을 이용하여 수학식 4와 같이 설정될 수 있다.
수학식 4에서, r2 값은 새로운 z' 값의 세팅/설정을 위한 비율(ratio)에 대한 것으로, 1 보다 작은 값일 수 있다. 단말은 특정 후보 값들 중 하나를 선택하여 r2 값으로서 기지국에게 보고하거나, 직접 특정 값을 r2 값으로서 기지국에게 보고할 수도 있다. 또는, r2 값은 기지국에 의해 단말에게 설정/제공될 수도 있다.
이와 관련하여, 수학식 3에서의 r1 값과 수학식 4에서의 r2 값은 구별되는 값으로서, 개별적으로 설정/보고될 수 있다. 일 예로, r1 값과 r2 값은 상이한 값 또는 동일한 값에 해당할 수 있다.
또한, 단말 개시 빔 보고에 대하여, 단말의 구현에 따라 기존의 Z' 값을 이용할지, 또는 새로운 Z' 값을 이용할지 상이할 수 있다. 따라서, 단말은 이와 관련하여, 자신이 이용할 Z' 값(예를 들어, 기존의 Z' 값 또는 새로운 Z' 값)에 대한 정보를 단말의 능력 정보로서 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다. 또한, 단말은 새로운 Z' 값을 위한 r2 값에 대한 정보도 능력 정보로서 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다.
또한, 본 실시예의 제안 방법들과 관련하여, 단말이 비주기적 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)을 이용하여 빔 양에 대한 계산을 수행하지 않은 경우에, 실시예 2-2의 방법이 적용될 수 있다. 또한, 단말이 비주기적 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)을 이용하지 않거나, 해당 비주기적 측정 자원이 기지국에 의해 설정되지 않은 경우에, 실시예 2-1의 방법이 적용될 수 있다.
실시예 3
본 실시예는 단말 개시 빔 보고와 관련하여, 이벤트 발생 유무에 대한 보고 이후 이벤트 발생 상황이 변경되는 경우의 동작 방안에 대한 것이다.
구체적으로, 단말이 이벤트 모니터링 단계에서 이미 빔 양에 대한 계산을 완료하고 이벤트가 발생한 것으로 보고 하였으나, 이후 빔 양에 대한 보고를 위해 빔 양에 대한 재계산을 수행할 때 이벤트가 발생하지 않는 것으로 상황이 변경될 수 있다. 이 경우, 단말은 이벤트 발생 유무에 대한 보고 시점과 다르게 이벤트 발생이 취소되었음을 나타내는 정보를 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다. 이벤트 발생이 취소되는 경우, 이와 관련된 빔 양에 대한 보고는 생략될 수 있다.
예를 들어, 해당 정보의 보고를 위하여, 보고 양(report quantity)(예를 들어, UCI/CSI/빔 양)의 하나의 유형으로 이벤트 취소 지시자(event cancellation indicator)(예를 들어, 1-비트)가 추가될 수 있다. 대안적으로, 단말은 기-결정된 비트 시퀀스(예를 들어, 모든 비트가 0으로 세팅된 비트 시퀀스)를 통해 해당 정보를 보고할 수도 있다.
또한, 단말 개시 빔 보고와 관련하여, 다중 CC(multi-component carrier)에 대한 단말 개시 빔 보고가 설정될 수 있으며, 단말은 이벤트가 발생한 CC 목록(CC list)를 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다. 이때, CC 목록은 비트맵(bitmap) 형식을 기반으로 구성될 수 있다. 일 예로, 단말 개시 빔 보고가 3개의 CC에 대해 설정되는 경우, 이벤트 발생의 보고는 3-비트의 비트맵을 기반으로 수행될 수 있다. 이와 관련하여, 단말이 모두 0 값으로 세팅된 CC 목록(예를 들어, 모든 CC에 대해 이벤트 발생이 없음)을 기지국에게 보고하면, 이를 기반으로 기지국은 해당 이벤트가 취소된 것으로 판단할 수 있다.
또한, 본 개시의 제안 방법과 관련하여, 2-단계 기반의 단말 개시 빔 보고에 대하여, 이벤트 발생 유무의 검증/검출(예를 들어, 이벤트 모니터링)을 위한 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)과 빔 양(beam quantity) 계산을 위한 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)이 다를 수 있다. 여기서, 이벤트 발생 유무의 검증/검출은 2-단계 기반의 단말 개시 빔 보고 중 1st 단계에 해당하고, 빔 양 계산은 2nd 단계에 해당한다.
예를 들어, 단말 개시 빔 보고와 관련된 이벤트(들)은 다음과 같이 정의될 수 있다.
- 이벤트 1: 현재 빔의 품질이 특정 임계값보다 나쁨/낮음
- 이벤트 2: L1-RSRP와 같은 적어도 하나의 신규 빔의 품질이 현재 빔보다 더 좋은/높은 임계값이 됨
- 이벤트 3: 신규 빔의 품질이 특정 임계값보다 좋음/높음
- 이벤트 4: 현재 빔의 품질이 임계값 1보다 나쁘고/낮고, 적어도 하나의 신규 빔의 품질이 임계값 2보다 좋음/높음
- 이벤트 7: L1-RSRP와 같은 적어도 하나의 신규 빔의 품질이 Q번째로 좋은 품질을 가진 활성화된 TCI 상태에서 도출된 RS보다 더 좋은/높은 임계값이 됨
전술한 이벤트(들)과 관련하여, 현재 빔(current beam)은 현재 사용하고 있는 빔을 의미하며, 이는 기지국이 단말에게 지시한 TCI 상태에 설정된 QCL 소스 RS 또는 해당 QCL 소스 RS와 QCL 관계인 SSB에 해당할 수 있다. 또한, 신규 빔(new beam)은 기지국이 단말에게 이벤트 검사(예를 들어, 이벤트 발생 여부 검출/모니터링)를 위해 별개로 설정될 수 있다.
예를 들어, 이벤트 1의 경우, 이벤트 모니터링을 위한 CMR이 현재 빔으로 설정되지만, 빔 양 계산을 위한 CMR은 현재 빔을 포함 또는 포함하지 않은 빔 집합(예를 들어, 빔 관리를 위한 CSI-RS, 또는 SSB)으로 설정될 수 있다. 이 경우, 이벤트 모니터링 단계에서 빔 양 계산이 수행되지 않으며 이벤트가 발생한 경우에 한하여, 빔 보고를 위한 빔 양 계산이 수행될 수 있다. 따라서, 이 경우, 단말은 기존의 비주기적 CSI 보고를 위한 기존의 Z 값 및 Z' 값을 이용하도록 설정/정의될 수 있으며, 2-단계 보고에 대한 CMR이 동일한 경우에는 전술한 실시예 1 및/또는 실시예 2를 이용하도록 설정/정의될 수 있다.
또한, 본 개시의 제안 방법들과 관련하여, 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위해 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)이 직접적으로 설정될 수 있으나, 그외에 현재 빔 등이 이벤트 모니터링/검증 및 빔 보고를 위한 측정 자원으로 사용될 수 있다. 일 예로, 기지국은 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 CSI 보고 설정 정보요소(CSI report config IE)에 측정 자원(예를 들어, CMR 및/또는 IMR)을 직접 설정할 수 있다.
도 10 및 도 11은 전술한 본 개시의 실시예들에 따른 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 단말 동작 및 기지국 동작을 예시한다.
도 10은 본 개시의 실시예에 따른 단말의 동작을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 10을 참조하면, 단말은 기지국으로부터 CSI 보고에 대한 설정을 수신할 수 있다(S1010).
예를 들어, 해당 CSI 보고에 대한 설정은 본 개시에서 전술한 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 설정 정보를 포함할 수 있다.
단말은 해당 CSI 보고와 관련된 이벤트의 검출 여부에 대한 제1 정보를 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다(S1020).
예를 들어, 해당 제1 정보의 보고는 본 개시에서 전술한 2-단계 기반의 단말 개시 빔 보고에서 1st 단계에 해당할 수 있다.
이벤트가 검출되는 경우, 단말은 해당 CSI 보고를 트리거링하는 하향링크 제어 정보(DCI)를 기지국으로부터 수신할 수 있다(S1030).
이때, 해당 하향링크 제어 정보는 해당 CSI 보고를 수행하기 위한 UL 채널/자원을 스케줄링하기 위한 정보를 포함할 수 있다.
단말은 하향링크 제어 정보를 통해 스케줄링된 UL 자원에서 해당 CSI 보고와 관련된 보고 양(report quantity)에 대한 제2 정보를 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다(S1040).
예를 들어, 해당 제2 정보의 보고는 본 개시에서 전술한 2-단계 기반의 단말 개시 빔 보고에서 2nd 단계에 해당할 수 있다.
해당 보고 양은 CSI 보고에 대한 설정을 기반으로 하는 측정 자원으로 설정된 참조 신호에 대한 전력 측정 값에 해당할 수 있다. 즉, 해당 보고 양은 상기 측정 자원에 대한 빔/공간 필터(예를 들어, CSI-RS 자원 지시자(CRI), SSB 인덱스(또는 SSB 자원 지시자))를 기반으로 하는 수신 전력 측정 값(예를 들어, L1-RSRP, L1-SINR 등)에 해당할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 본 개시를 기반으로 하는 측정에 있어서, 공간 필터는 (QCL 관계를 기반으로 하는) CSI-RS 자원의 인덱스/ID/지시자 또는 SSB 인덱스(또는 SSB 자원의 인덱스/ID/지시자) 중 적어도 하나와 관련될 수 있다.
이와 관련하여, 해당 CSI 보고의 처리 시간과 관련된 적어도 하나의 값(예를 들어, 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 Z 값, Z' 값)은, 단계 S1020에서의 이벤트 검출 시 보고 양에 대한 계산이 완료되었는지 여부를 기반으로 하여 세팅/설정/정의될 수 있다.
여기서, 상기 적어도 하나의 값은 단말 개시 빔 보고에 대한 단말의 처리(processing)를 위한 최소 시간과 관련된 값(들)에 해당할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 본 개시에 따라, 해당 CSI 보고의 처리 시간과 관련된 적어도 하나의 값은 단계 S1030에서의 하향링크 제어 정보의 수신 시점과 단계 S1040에서의 제2 정보의 보고 시점 간의 시간과 관련된 제1 값(예를 들어, 새로운 Z 값)을 포함할 수 있다(예를 들어, 실시예 1 참고). 이때, 보고 양에 대한 계산이 이벤트의 검출 시 완료되는 경우, 제1 값은 다른 CSI 보고 유형(예를 들어, 기지국에 의해 개시되는 CSI/빔 보고 유형)에 대해 기-정의된 제1 특정 값(예를 들어, 표 6 내지 표 8에 기반하는 기존의 Z 값)보다 작은 값으로 세팅될 수 있다.
해당 예시와 관련하여, 단말은 제1 값의 적용 여부, 기-정의된 제1 특정 값의 적용 여부, 제1 값의 세팅과 관련된 비율(예를 들어, 수학식 3의 r1 값) 중 적어도 하나에 대한 정보를 단말의 능력 정보로서 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다. 또한, 제1 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원과 제2 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원이 상이한 경우, 해당 CSI 보고의 처리는 기-정의된 제1 특정 값을 기반으로 할 수 있다. 또한, 제1 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원과 제2 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원이 동일한 경우, 해당 CSI 보고의 처리는 제1 값을 기반으로 할 수 있다.
다른 예를 들어, 본 개시에 따라, 해당 CSI 보고의 처리 시간과 관련된 적어도 하나의 값은 단계 S1040에서의 제2 정보의 보고를 위한 측정의 마지막 시점과 해당 제2 정보의 보고 시점 간의 시간과 관련된 제2 값(예를 들어, 새로운 Z' 값)을 포함할 수 있다(예를 들어, 실시예 2-2 참고). 이때, 보고 양에 대한 계산이 이벤트의 검출 시 완료되었지만, 보고 양에 대한 계산의 시점과 제2 정보의 보고 시점 간의 간격이 일정 기준을 초과하는 경우, 제2 값은 다른 CSI 보고 유형(예를 들어, 기지국에 의해 개시되는 CSI/빔 보고 유형)에 대해 기-정의된 제2 특정 값(예를 들어, 표 6 내지 표 8에 기반하는 기존의 Z' 값)보다 작은 값으로 세팅될 수 있다. 이 경우, 해당 제2 값은 보고 양에 대한 재계산을 위한 것일 수 있다.
해당 예시와 관련하여, 단말은 제2 값의 적용 여부, 기-정의된 제2 특정 값의 적용 여부, 제2 값의 세팅과 관련된 비율(예를 들어, 수학식 4의 r2 값) 중 적어도 하나에 대한 정보를 단말의 능력 정보로서 기지국에게 보고할 수 있다. 또한, 제1 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원과 제2 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원이 상이한 경우, 해당 CSI 보고의 처리는 기-정의된 제2 특정 값을 기반으로 할 수 있다. 또한, 제1 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원과 제2 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원이 동일한 경우, 해당 CSI 보고의 처리는 제2 값을 기반으로 할 수 있다.
또 다른 예를 들어, 본 개시에 따라, 보고 양에 대한 계산이 이벤트의 검출 시 완료되는 경우, 단계 S1040에서의 제2 정보의 보고를 위한 측정 자원은 단말에 의해 무시되며, 이용되지 않을 수 있다(예를 들어, 실시예 2-1 참고). 즉, 보고 양에 대한 계산이 이벤트의 검출 시 완료되는 경우, 단말은 제2 정보의 보고를 위해 보고 양에 대한 계산을 다시 수행하지 않을 수 있다.
또한, 본 개시에 따라, 단말이 이벤트가 검출됨을 기지국에게 보고한 후, 보고 양에 대한 (재)계산 시 이벤트 검출 조건이 미충족되는 경우, 해당 단말은 이벤트의 검출이 취소됨을 나타내는 정보를 기지국에게 송신할 수 있다(예를 들어, 실시예 3 참고). 예를 들어, CSI 보고가 다중 CC(carrier component)에 대해 설정되는 경우, 단계 S1020에서의 제1 정보는 각 CC에 대한 이벤트 검출 여부가 각 비트에 매핑되는 비트맵으로 구성될 수 있다. 이때, 이벤트의 검출이 취소됨을 나타내는 정보는 해당 비트맵의 모든 비트가 이벤트 검출 조건이 미충족됨을 나타내는 값(예를 들어, 0(zero))으로 세팅된 정보에 해당할 수 있다. 이와 관련하여, 단말이 이벤트가 검출됨을 보고한 후 보고 양에 대한 (재)계산 시 이벤트 검출 조건이 미충족되는 경우, 단말은 제2 정보의 보고(예를 들어, 빔 양에 대한 보고)는 생략될 수 있다.
도 10의 예시에서 설명하는 방법은 도 12의 제1 디바이스(100)에 의해서 수행될 수 있다. 즉, 도 10의 단말은 제1 디바이스(100)로 구현될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도 12의 제1 디바이스(100)의 하나 이상의 프로세서(102)는 하나 이상의 송수신기(106)를 통해, CSI 보고에 대한 설정을 수신하고, 해당 CSI 보고와 관련된 이벤트의 검출 여부에 대한 제1 정보를 보고하고, 이벤트가 검출되는 경우 해당 CSI 보고를 트리거링하는 하향링크 제어 정보를 수신하고, 하향링크 제어 정보에 의해 스케줄링되는 UL 자원에서 해당 CSI 보고와 관련된 보고 양에 대한 제2 정보를 보고하도록 설정될 수 있다.
나아가, 제1 디바이스(100)의 하나 이상의 메모리(104)는 하나 이상의 프로세서(102)에 의해서 실행되는 경우 도 10의 예시 또는 전술한 예시들에서 설명하는 방법을 수행하기 위한 명령들을 저장할 수 있다.
도 11은 본 개시의 실시예에 따른 기지국의 동작을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 11을 참조하면, 기지국은 단말에게 CSI 보고에 대한 설정을 송신할 수 있다(S1110).
예를 들어, 해당 CSI 보고에 대한 설정은 본 개시에서 전술한 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 설정 정보를 포함할 수 있다.
기지국은 해당 CSI 보고와 관련된 이벤트의 검출 여부에 대한 제1 정보를 단말로부터 수신할 수 있다(S1120).
예를 들어, 해당 제1 정보의 보고는 본 개시에서 전술한 2-단계 기반의 단말 개시 빔 보고에서 1st 단계에 해당할 수 있다.
이벤트가 검출된 경우, 기지국은 해당 CSI 보고를 트리거링하는 하향링크 제어 정보(DCI)를 단말에게 송신할 수 있다(S1130).
이때, 해당 하향링크 제어 정보는 해당 CSI 보고를 수행하기 위한 UL 채널/자원을 스케줄링하기 위한 정보를 포함할 수 있다.
기지국은 하향링크 제어 정보를 통해 스케줄링된 UL 자원에서 해당 CSI 보고와 관련된 보고 양(report quantity)에 대한 제2 정보를 단말로부터 수신할 수 있다(S1040).
예를 들어, 해당 제2 정보의 보고는 본 개시에서 전술한 2-단계 기반의 단말 개시 빔 보고에서 2nd 단계에 해당할 수 있다.

이와 관련하여, 해당 CSI 보고의 처리 시간과 관련된 적어도 하나의 값(예를 들어, 단말 개시 빔 보고를 위한 Z 값, Z' 값)은, 단계 S1020에서의 이벤트 검출 시 보고 양에 대한 계산이 완료되었는지 여부를 기반으로 하여 세팅/설정/정의될 수 있다. 여기서, 상기 적어도 하나의 값은 단말 개시 빔 보고에 대한 단말의 처리(processing)를 위한 최소 시간과 관련된 값(들)에 해당할 수 있다.
하향링크 제어 정보의 수신 시점과 제2 정보의 보고 시점 간의 시간과 관련된 제1 값, 제2 정보의 보고를 위한 측정의 마지막 시점과 제2 정보의 보고 시점 간의 시간과 관련된 제2 값, CSI 보고 유형, 단말의 능력 정보 보고, 측정 자원 간의 동일성 여부에 따른 값 적용, 이벤트 검출의 취소와 관련된 동작 등에 대한 구체적인 특징은 도 10을 참조한 설명과 동일하므로, 중복되는 설명은 생략한다.
도 11의 예시에서 설명하는 방법은 도 12의 제2 디바이스(200)에 의해서 수행될 수 있다. 즉, 도 11의 기지국은 제2 디바이스(200)로 구현될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 도 12의 제2 디바이스(200)의 하나 이상의 프로세서(202)는 하나 이상의 송수신기(206)를 통해, CSI 보고에 대한 설정을 송신하고, 해당 CSI 보고와 관련된 이벤트의 검출 여부에 대한 제1 정보를 수신하고, 이벤트가 검출된 경우 해당 CSI 보고를 트리거링하는 하향링크 제어 정보를 송신하고, 하향링크 제어 정보에 의해 스케줄링되는 UL 자원에서 해당 CSI 보고와 관련된 보고 양에 대한 제2 정보를 수신하도록 설정될 수 있다.
나아가, 제2 디바이스(200)의 하나 이상의 메모리(204)는 하나 이상의 프로세서(202)에 의해서 실행되는 경우 도 11의 예시 또는 전술한 예시들에서 설명하는 방법을 수행하기 위한 명령들을 저장할 수 있다.
본 개시의 제안 방법들은 빔 보고를 대표적인 예시로 하여 설명되었지만, CSI 보고(예를 들어, CRI, RI, PMI, CQI 보고 등)에 대해서도 확장하여 적용될 수 있다. 즉, 단말 개시 빔 보고 외에 단말 개시 CSI 보고가 지원되는 경우에도 본 개시에서 제안된 방법들이 활용될 수 있다. 또한, 새로운 무선 통신 기술(예를 들어, 6G 등)에서 CSI, 빔, 및/또는 그외의 UCI에 대한 계산/보고 시에도 본 개시에서 제안된 방법들이 활용될 수 있다.
또한, 본 개시의 제안 방법들에서 Z 값 및 Z' 값은 별도의 서브 인덱스(sub index) 없이 표현되었으나, 빔 보고의 경우 [Z, Z']은 [Z3, Z'3]으로 표현되는 점을 기반으로 하여, 단말 개시 빔 보고에 대한 Z 값 및 Z' 값은 Z3 값 및 Z'3 값을 의미할 수 있다. 이와 유사하게, 본 개시의 제안 방법들이 일반적인 CSI 보고에 적용되는 경우, 본 개시의 제안 방법들에서 전술한 Z 값 및 Z' 값은 Z1 값 및 Z'1 값을 의미할 수 있다.

또한, 본 개시의 제안 방법들에서, 단말이 특정 CSI 보고 또는 빔 보고에 대한 이벤트 발생 시 기지국에게 해당 CSI 보고 또는 빔 보고를 위한 UL 채널의 스케줄링을 요청하는 것은, 이벤트가 발생했음을 단말이 기지국에게 알리는 것으로 해석될 수 있다. 이때, 실제 UL 채널의 스케줄링 수행 여부는 기지국에 의해 판단될 수 있다.

본 개시에서 제안하는 방법은 3GPP LTE/LTE-A, 5G, 6G 시스템에 적용되는 예를 중심으로 설명하였으나, 3GPP LTE/LTE-A, 5G, 6G 시스템 이외에도 다양한 무선 통신 시스템에 적용하는 것이 가능하다.

Claims (19)

  1. 단말에 의해서, 채널 상태 정보(channel state information, CSI) 보고에 대한 설정을 수신하는 단계;
    상기 단말에 의해서, 상기 CSI 보고와 관련된 이벤트의 검출 여부에 대한 제1 정보를 보고하는 단계;
    상기 이벤트가 검출됨에 기초하여, 상기 단말에 의해서, 상기 CSI 보고를 트리거링하는 하향링크 제어 정보를 수신하는 단계; 및
    상기 단말에 의해서, 상기 하향링크 제어 정보를 통해 스케줄링된 상향링크 자원에서 상기 CSI 보고와 관련된 보고 양(report quantity)에 대한 제2 정보를 보고하는 단계를 포함하되,
    상기 보고 양은 상기 설정을 기반으로 하는 측정 자원으로 설정된 참조 신호에 대한 전력 측정값과 관련되며,
    상기 CSI 보고의 처리 시간과 관련된 적어도 하나의 값은, 상기 이벤트의 검출 시 상기 보고 양에 대한 계산 완료 여부를 기반으로 하여 세팅되는, 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 적어도 하나의 값은 상기 하향링크 제어 정보의 수신 시점과 상기 제2 정보의 보고 시점 간의 시간과 관련된 제1 값을 포함하며,

    상기 보고 양은 상기 설정을 기반으로 하는 측정 자원으로 설정된 참조 신호에 대한 전력 측정값과 관련되며,
    상기 CSI 보고의 처리 시간과 관련된 적어도 하나의 값은, 상기 이벤트의 검출 시 상기 보고 양에 대한 계산 완료 여부를 기반으로 하여 세팅되는, 장치.
  16. 기지국에 의해서, 채널 상태 정보(channel state information, CSI) 보고에 대한 설정을 송신하는 단계;
    상기 기지국에 의해서, 상기 CSI 보고와 관련된 이벤트의 검출 여부에 대한 제1 정보를 수신하는 단계;
    상기 이벤트가 검출됨에 기초하여, 상기 기지국에 의해서, 상기 CSI 보고를 트리거링하는 하향링크 제어 정보를 송신하는 단계; 및
    상기 기지국에 의해서, 상기 하향링크 제어 정보를 통해 스케줄링된 상향링크 자원에서 상기 CSI 보고와 관련된 보고 양(report quantity)에 대한 제2 정보를 수신하는 단계를 포함하되,

    상기 CSI 보고의 처리 시간과 관련된 적어도 하나의 값은, 상기 이벤트의 검출 시 상기 보고 양에 대한 계산 완료 여부를 기반으로 하여 세팅되는, 방법.
  17. 하나 이상의 송수신기(transceiver); 및
    상기 하나 이상의 송수신기와 연결된 하나 이상의 프로세서를 포함하고,
    상기 하나 이상의 프로세서는:
    상기 하나 이상의 송수신기를 통해, 채널 상태 정보(channel state information, CSI) 보고에 대한 설정을 송신하고;
    상기 하나 이상의 송수신기를 통해, 상기 CSI 보고와 관련된 이벤트의 검출 여부에 대한 제1 정보를 수신하고;
    상기 이벤트가 검출됨에 기초하여, 상기 하나 이상의 송수신기를 통해, 상기 CSI 보고를 트리거링하는 하향링크 제어 정보를 송신하고;
