- Table 5 shows the UL/DL operating bands defined by NR operating bands in Frequency Range1 (FR1).
- Table 6 is an example of the maximum number of RBs (N RB ) that can be set for each UE channel BW. According to Table 6, in order to support NB use cases based on 5G NR, a 3 MHz UE channel BW and the maximum number of RBs (N RB ) (15) that can be set at this time are defined, and the resource utilization ratio (or RU) (%) at this time is defined.

- the PSS/SSS transmission RBs may be transmitted in their entirety.
- the minimum PBCH transmission RBs may be 12 RBs including PSS/SSS.
- a "punctured" PBCH or PBCH transmission RB subset refers to a PBCH that is actually transmitted after puncturing is applied when transmitting by puncturing some of the PBCH transmission RBs. Therefore, 'punctured PBCH' and 'PBCH transmission RB subset' can be interpreted/applied as interchangeable.
- the base station/terminal can configure the PBCH transmission RB subset with 12 PRBs to 15 PRBs.
- methods for configuring the PBCH transmission RB subset with 12 PRBs and 15 PRBs, respectively, are specifically described.

- configuration #P2-3 may have an advantage over configuration #P2-4 in terms of PBCH reception performance.
- configurations #P2-1 and #P2-2 may be affected in terms of sync performance and measurement performance in situations where adjacent channel/frequency interference exists because the PSS/SSS is exposed to the band edge. If such interference is expected, configuration #P2-3 or configuration #2-4 may be considered. Configuration #P2-3 or configuration #2-4 may be intended to protect against adjacent channel/frequency band interference by placing the PSS/SSS further inside the channel BW. - n100 may also be included in the bands supporting the narrowband scenario.
- nRB 15 PRBs (with 15 kHz SCS), 12-PRB PBCH, finer sync raster
- GSM -> NR migration scenario (Currently GSM is being used, but a scenario in which NR transmission BW is gradually expanded to gradually switch to NR)
- - Scenario #2 is expected to be supported in at least n100 of the NR operating bands defined in TS 38.101-1.
- NR transmission BW can be a concept distinct from nRB.
- NR transmission BW can be used to distinguish it from nRB.
- narrowband scenario #2 it may be necessary to place 12-PRB PBCH or 20-PRB PBCH as close to the narrowband edge as possible due to the nature of the scenario.
- an additional sync raster may be supported at a location that takes into account adjacent channel environments, etc. The additional sync raster for n100 is described below with reference to FIGS. 10 and 11.
- Figure 10 illustrates an example of a sync raster according to an embodiment of the present specification.
- a frequency location related to scenario #2-1 may be 920.73 MHz.
- An additional sync raster may be supported at the frequency location.
- 10A may mean a minimum spacing (e.g., 100 kHz) between a legacy sync raster and a finer sync raster.
- 10B may mean a minimum spacing (e.g., 20 kHz) between a sync raster based on 12 PRB PBCH and a channel raster (15 PRB) defined/determined in units of 100 kHz.
- 10B may mean a minimum spacing that allows a sync raster to be arranged according to a subcarrier spacing (SCS) (e.g., 15 kHz) in relation to a channel raster.
- SCS subcarrier spacing
- Figure 11 illustrates another example of a sync raster according to an embodiment of the present specification.
- the frequency location related to scenario #2-2 may be 921.45 MHz.
- An additional sync raster may be supported at the frequency location.
- 11A may mean a minimum spacing (e.g., 100 kHz) between a legacy sync raster and a finer sync raster.
- 11B may mean a minimum spacing (e.g., 0 kHz) between a sync raster based on 20 PRB PBCH and a channel raster (25 PRB) defined/determined in units of 100 kHz.
- the narrowband channel BW may be smaller than the minimum bandwidth of the conventional CORESET#0 designed considering the general bandwidth.
- the CORESET#0 bandwidth may exceed the narrowband channel BW.
- the CORESET#0 bandwidth supported by the current NR standard is 24 PRB (4.32 MHz) based on 15 kHz SCS, it may exceed the narrowband channel BWs exemplified in Tables 6 and 7. To support such a scenario, the following two methods have been proposed.
- a new CORESET#0 having a small bandwidth within the narrowband channel BW can be defined.
- PDCCH can be transmitted based on the newly defined CORESET#0.
- Method #1 Example #1 In order to support 3 MHz channel bandwidth, 15-PRB transmission BW or 12-PRB transmission BW, the following CORESET#0 can be defined/supported.
- Method #1 Example #2 In order to support 5 MHz channel bandwidth, 20-PRB transmission BW, the following CORESET#0 can be defined/supported.
- the conventional CORESET#0 can be reused, but the PDCCH can be transmitted by excluding the resource area where RE is mapped beyond the narrowband channel BW. For example, puncturing (truncation) can be performed on RBs exceeding the narrowband channel BW (e.g., 3 MHz, 15 PRB). As a specific example, the frequency domain size, ) is 24, CORESET#0 can be obtained by puncturing the 9 highest numbered RBs among the 24 RBs.
- the base station can perform PDCCH RE mapping in the conventional manner specified in TS 38.213 for the entire conventional CORESET#0 bandwidth.
- the base station can transmit the PDCCH based on the PDCCH transmission RE/RB/REG/REG bundle/CCEs included in the narrowband channel BW.
- the meaning of "included” can include the meaning of "partially included” or "including all.”
- 24-PRB CORESET#0 defined in TS 38.213 Table 13-1 may be reused.
- PDCCH transmission RE/RB/REG/REG bundle/CCEs RE mapped outside the transmission BW (12 PRB or 15 PRB) may not be transmitted through puncturing/truncation, or even if transmitted, terminal reception may not be expected/requested.
- the highest/lowest 12 RBs (or the highest/lowest 9 RBs) among 24-PRBs may be punctured.
- the position of CORESET#0 can be defined/determined relative to SSB. Specifically, the relative position of CORESET#0 is defined /determined relative to SSB as shown in Table 8 below. can be determined by the parameters. That is, the interval between CORESET#0 and SSB is the offset parameter (RB offset) and It can be determined based on the parameter (subcarrier offset).
- the ssb-SubcarrierOffset parameter in the system information block e.g. MIB
- the ssb-SubcarrierOffset parameter can be indicated by an integer between 0 and 15. If the ssb-SubcarrierOffset parameter is not set, can be derived from the frequency difference between SS/PBCH block and Point A.
- the parameters may be defined based on one of the embodiments described below (e.g., method #A, method #B).
- the above Parameters can be defined based on SS/PBCH blocks in the same way as the conventional method (method #A).
- the above The parameters can be defined based on the SS/PBCH block after puncturing (method #B). Referring to FIG. 12 and FIG. 13 below, Describes Point A in relation to the parameters.
- Fig. 12 is a diagram exemplifying Point A according to the conventional method. Specifically, Fig. 12 exemplifies offsetToPointA.
- offsetToPoint A represents a frequency offset between Point A and the lowest subcarrier (subcarrier 0) of the lowest resource block (CRB #8) overlapping with the SS/PBCH block. is the lowest numbered subcarrier (subcarrier 0) of the SS/PBCH block and the common resource block ( ) represents the subcarrier offset between subcarrier 0 and subcarrier 0.
- the common resource block ( ) can be obtained from offsetToPointA. That is, the common resource block ( ) may be the lowest resource block overlapping with the SS/PBCH block based on offsetToPointA.
- Fig. 13 is a drawing illustrating Point A according to an embodiment of the present specification. The description overlapping with Fig. 12 is omitted.
- the SS/PBCH block after puncturing may be composed of 12 resource blocks.
- offsetToPoint A is the lowest resource block ( , CRB #12) represents the frequency offset between the lowest subcarrier (subcarrier 0).
- the relative positional relationship between SSB and CORESET#0 and the signaling method therefor can follow the conventional standard. That is, "the smallest RB index of the CORESET for Type0-PDCCH CSS set", "the first RB of the corresponding SS/PBCH block", etc. described in the above standard can be defined based on the SSB(PBCH)/CORESET #0 BW before puncturing.
- the offset in Table 8 can be defined based on the entire PBCH BW (before puncturing) and the entire CORESET#0 BW (before puncturing).
- first RB of the corresponding SS/PBCH block can be defined based on the PBCH transmission RB that is actually transmitted/received.
- the PBCH transmission RB that is actually transmitted/received can mean the RB after puncturing (or subset determination).
- the offset in Table 8 can be defined based on the punctured PBCH (i.e., SS/PBCH block after puncturing).
- the "first RB of the corresponding SS/PBCH block" may mean one of the following i) to iv).
- the RB offset value (offset in Table 8) can be defined as follows.
- the RB offset value can be 0. That is, the smallest RB index of the CRB that overlaps the smallest RB index (index of the first RB) of the punctured SSB can be aligned with the smallest RB index of CORESET#0.
- the RB offset value can be defined as follows.
- the RB offset value can be defined as a value such that the "highest" RB index of the CRB overlapping with the smallest RB index of the punctured SSB is aligned with the CORESET#0 smallest RB index.
- the RB offset value can be defined as a negative (-) value. Specifically, when the RB offset value is -4, the smallest RB index of the CRB that overlaps the smallest RB index of the punctured SSB can be aligned with the smallest RB index of CORESET#0.
- the above-described offset can be defined based on the smallest RB index by a different criterion from the non-punctured PBCH (method #A)/punctured PBCH (method #B).
- the above offset can be defined based on the smallest RB index among the RBs (or CRBs) defined within the maximum transmission BW or capable of DL reception. In this case, according to the offset value 0, the smallest RB index among the RBs (or CRBs) defined within the maximum transmission BW or capable of DL reception and the CORESET#0 smallest RB index can be aligned.
- Parameters for supporting the above methods can be indicated/set by broadcast signaling (e.g. MIB). These parameters can include some or all of the parameters, such as the applied method, Offset, etc., among the above methods.
- the highest RB index of CORESET#0 can be determined without separate signaling. For example, the highest RB index of CORESET#0 can be determined based on the biggest RB index (highest RB index) of the CRB that does not exceed the maximum transmission BW. For example, the highest RB index of CORESET#0 can be determined based on the biggest RB index (highest RB index) of the CRB that does not exceed the punctured PBCH BW.
- the highest RB index of CORESET#0 can be determined in units of RB/REG/REG bundle/CCE. If the highest RB index of CORESET#0 is composed in units of REG bundle/CCE, the total number of RBs of CORESET#0 can be limited to a multiple of the number of RBs constituting the REG bundle/CCE.
- the CORESET#0 highest RB index can be set via broadcast signaling.
- the base station can instruct/set one of the supportable CORESET#0 BW values predefined in the standard to the terminal based on broadcast signaling.
- the CORESET#0 BW supported in the narrowband can be a BWP size not supported by legacy terminals, and a new terminal supporting narrowband operation can be configured/implemented to mandatorily support the CORESET#0 BW size supported in the narrowband.
- the frequency position of CORESET#0 is determined by the Offset parameter.
- the value of Offset may vary depending on the Offset definition method #A/method #B/method #C.
- Offset definition method #A legacy method, based on PBCH BW before puncturing and CORESET#0 BW before puncturing. This is only for convenience of explanation, and the scope of application of the embodiments described below is not limited to method #A.
- the proposed methods below can be equally applied to the Offset definition method #B/method #C, with only the difference being the Offset value.
- 15-PRB CORESET#0 can be supported in narrowband scenarios except narrowband scenario#2-1.
- 15-PRB CORESET#0 can be supported by reusing the existing 24-PRB CORESET#0. That is, after PDCCH RE mapping is performed based on 24-PRB CORESET#0, PDCCH can be transmitted based on RE/RB/REG/REG bundle/CCEs within the frequency domain of 15-PRB CORESET#0. Due to the bandwidth difference between 24-PRB CORESET#0 and 15-PRB CORESET#0 before puncturing, the Offset can be set/defined/applied as a value in the range of 5 to -2 in all supportable scenarios.
- Offset parameter value 0 can be set as the Offset value of the CORESET#0 Table.
- one value can be set/instructed to the terminal based on the broadcast signaling of the base station.
- 12-PRB CORESET#0 can be supported.
- an arrangement that exactly aligns the smallest RB index of 12-PRB CORESET#0 with the smallest RB index of 12-PRB PBCH may have to be supported.
- the Offset parameter value of -4 and the K SSB value of 0 may have to be supported mandatorily.
- the Offset parameter value of 0 and the K SSB value of 0 may have to be supported mandatorily. This will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 15 to 17 below.
- Fig. 15 shows an example of a channel raster and a synchronization raster based on an embodiment of the present specification.
- the RB offset from the smallest RB index of 12 PRB CORESET#0 to the smallest RB index of the CRB overlapping the first RB of the SSB before puncturing (PBCH) can be -4.
- the RB offset from the smallest RB index of 12 PRB CORESET#0 to the smallest RB index of the CRB overlapping the first RB of the SSB after puncturing (PBCH) can be 0.
- the K SSB value can be 0.
- Fig. 16 illustrates another example of a channel raster and a synchronous raster based on an embodiment of the present specification.
- Fig. 17 illustrates another example of a channel raster and a synchronous raster based on an embodiment of the present specification.
- Offset parameter values and K SSB values may be additionally/optionally supported to provide network flexibility to the base station.
- the Offset parameter value -4 and the K SSB value 8 can be supported. Assuming the above method #B, the Offset parameter value 0 and the K SSB value 8 can be supported.
- the Offset parameter value -2 and the K SSB value 4 can be supported. Assuming the above method #B, the Offset parameter value 2 and the K SSB value 4 can be supported.
- the relative positions of SSB and CORESET#0 are determined by the offset parameter. is determined based on parameters. Therefore, the combination of channel raster and sync raster that can be supported for each NR operating band may be limited to cases where the spacing is a multiple of the subcarrier spacing. This will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 18 to 20 below.

- the valid sync raster range can mean a range from 'channel center frequency - 270 kHz (1.5 PRB)' to 'channel center frequency + 270 kHz (1.5 PRB)'.
- SCS subcarrier spacing
- the remaining four frequency positions are not allowed because their offset values are not multiples of the SCS (15 kHz).
- the offset values that allow CORESET#0 and 12-PRB PBCH (12 RB SS/PBCH block) to be placed at frequency positions based on the SCS are only 120 kHz (index 2) and 420 kHz (index 5), and the frequency positions based on the remaining offset values are not allowed because they are not placed at frequency positions based on the SCS.

Description

이와 같이 eMBB(enhanced mobile broadband communication), Mmtc(massive MTC), URLLC (Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communication) 등을 고려한 차세대 radio access technology 의 도입이 논의되고 있으며, 본 명세서에서는 편의상 해당 technology 를 NR 이라고 부른다.
NR(New Rat) 뉴머롤로지(Numerology) 및 프레임(frame) 구조
이하, NR 시스템에서 고려될 수 있는 OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 뉴머롤로지 및 프레임 구조를 살펴본다.
Nsize,μ
grid*NRB
Nsize,μ
Nsize,μ
- PCell 다운링크에 대한 offsetToPointA는 초기 셀 선택을 위해 UE에 의해 사용된 SS/PBCH 블록과 겹치는 가장 낮은 자원 블록의 가장 낮은 서브 캐리어와 point A 간의 주파수 오프셋을 나타내며, FR1에 대해 15kHz 서브캐리어 간격 및 FR2에 대해 60kHz 서브캐리어 간격을 가정한 리소스 블록 단위(unit)들로 표현되고;
- absoluteFrequencyPointA는 ARFCN(absolute radio-frequency channel number)에서와 같이 표현된 point A의 주파수-위치를 나타낸다.
(Bandwidth part, BWP)
한편, 단말이 상향링크를 통해 기지국에 송신하는 또는 단말이 기지국으로부터 수신하는 제어 정보는 하향링크/상향링크 ACK/NACK 신호, CQI(Channel Quality Indicator), PMI(Precoding Matrix 인덱스), RI(Rank Indicator) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
SSB(Synchronization Signal Block)
PBCH에는 폴라 코딩 및 QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying)이 적용된다. PBCH는 OFDM 심볼마다 데이터 RE와 DMRS(Demodulation Reference Signal) RE로 구성된다.
- For frequency range up to 3 GHz, L = 4
- For frequency range from 3GHz to 6 GHz, L = 8
- For frequency range from 6 GHz to 52.6 GHz, L = 64

i) 철도 무선 통신(railway mobile communication)
ii) 유틸리티/인프라 네트워크(utility/infrastructure network)
P2-1: Center 12 PRB (for PSS/SSS) + lower 3 PRB
구성#P2-2: Center 12 PRB (for PSS/SSS) + higher 3 PRB
구성#P2-3: Center 12 PRB (for PSS/SSS) + lower 2 PRB + higher 1 PRB
구성#P2-4: Center 12 PRB (for PSS/SSS) + higher 2 PRB + lower 1 PRB
이 경우, PBCH 전송 RB subset은 Center 12 PRB (for PSS/SSS) + lower 3 PRB를 포함할 수 있다.
이 경우, PBCH 전송 RB subset은 Center 12 PRB (for PSS/SSS) + lower 2 PRB + higher 1 PRB를 포함할 수 있다.
- RF channel BW = 3 MHz, nRB = 15 PRBs (with 15 kHz SCS), 12-PRB PBCH, finer sync raster
2-1: RF channel BW = 3 MHz, NR transmission BW = 12 PRBs (with 15 kHz SCS), 12-PRB PBCH, additional sync raster for 3 MHz
2-2: RF channel BW = 5 MHz, NR transmission BW = 20 PRBs (with 15 kHz SCS), 20-PRB PBCH, additional sync raster for 5 MHz
[방식#1] New CORESET#0 사용 방식
일 예로, 협대역 channel BW(예: 3 MHz, 15 PRB)를 초과하는 RB들에 puncturing(truncation)이 수행될 수 있다.
[방식#A]
즉, 위의 표준에서 기술한 "the smallest RB index of the CORESET for Type0-PDCCH CSS set", "the first RB of the corresponding SS/PBCH block" 등은 puncturing 전의 SSB(PBCH)/CORESET #0 BW를 기준으로 정의될 수 있다.
상술한 "the first RB of the corresponding SS/PBCH block"은 실제 전송/수신 되는 PBCH 전송 RB를 기준으로 정의될 수 있다.
즉, punctured PBCH (즉, SS/PBCH block after puncturing)를 기초로 표 8의 offset이 정의될 수 있다.
일 예로, 12-RB PBCH의 경우, 상기 "the first RB of the corresponding SS/PBCH block"은 다음 i) 내지 iv) 중 하나를 의미할 수 있다.
i)"the first RB of the corresponding "(actually) transmitted" SS/PBCH block"
ii)"the first RB of the corresponding SS/PBCH block after puncturing"
iii) "the first RB of the corresponding "non-punctured" SS/PBCH block",
iv) "the subcarrier number 48 of the corresponding SS/PBCH block"
즉, punctured SSB의 smallest RB index(first RB의 index)와 중첩(overlapping)되는 CRB의 smallest RB index는 CORESET#0의 smallest RB index와 정렬(align)될 수 있다.
BW and/or punctured PBCH BW
후술하는 방법들은 Offset 정의 방식#A(legacy 방식, puncturing 이전의 PBCH BW와 puncturing 되기 이전의 CORESET#0 BW 기준)를 중심으로 기술한다.
[Punctured 15-PRB CORESET#0
[New (non-punctured) 12-PRB CORESET#0
도 15를 참조하면, 12 PRB CORESET#0의 smallest RB index로부터 puncturing 전 SSB(PBCH)의 first RB와 중첩하는 CRB의 smallest RB index까지의 RB offset은 -4일 수 있다. 방식#B의 경우, 12 PRB CORESET#0의 smallest RB index로부터 puncturing 후 SSB(PBCH)의 first RB와 중첩하는 CRB의 smallest RB index까지의 RB offset은 0일 수 있다.
N * 600 kHz + M * 50 kHz + A kHz, N∈{1:4998}, M∈{1,3,5}, A=300
[1] N=1558, M=1, 3, 5
[2] N=1559, M=1, 3, 5
[3] N=1560, M=1, 3, 5
[4] N=1561, M=1, 3, 5
[5] N=1562, M=1, 3, 5
(1) 936,350 kHz (936.35 MHz), N=1560, M=1 / 간격: 0.25 MHz (250 kHz)
(2) 936,450 kHz (936.45 MHz), N=1560, M=3 / 간격: 0.15 MHz (150 kHz)
(3) 936,550 kHz (936.55 MHz), N=1560, M=5 / 간격: 0.05 MHz (50 kHz)
N * 600 kHz + M * 50 kHz + A kHz, N∈{1:4998}, M∈{1,3,5}, A=300
[1] N=1432, M=1, 3, 5
[2] N=1433, M=1, 3, 5
[3] N=1434, M=1, 3, 5
[4] N=1435, M=1, 3, 5
(1) 860,250 kHz (860.25 MHz), N=1433, M=3 / 간격: 0.35 MHz (350 kHz)
(2) 860,750 kHz (860.75 MHz), N=1434, M=1 / 간격: 0.15 MHz (150 kHz)
(3) 860,850 kHz (860.85 MHz), N=1434, M=3 / 간격: 0.25 MHz (250 kHz)
[Punctured 20-PRB CORESET#0
[Punctured 18-PRB CORESET#0
[New (non-punctured) 18-PRB CORESET#0
[New CORESET Table (TS 38.213 Table 13-0)
상기 Offset 값들은 앞서 설명한 바와 같이 Offset 정의 방식#A(legacy 방식, puncturing 이전의 PBCH BW와 puncturing 되기 이전의 CORESET#0 BW 기준)에 기반한 것이나, 제안하는 방법은 특정 Offset 값 정의 방식에 한정되지 않고 적용이 가능하다.
- Puncturing patterns of the 24-PRB CORESET#0
- (Additional) Offset for the same CORESET#0 size
- Number of symbols of CORESET#0 (예: 2 또는 3)
- Interleaved vs. non-interleaved CCE-to-REG mapping
- nshift control
일 예로, nshift와 관련된 파라미터는 nshift value (0 or half the CORESET#0 size before puncturing) 또는 or nshift offset value (to be added to the nshift offset value)을 나타낼 수 있다.
이 경우 특정 band는 n8/n26/n28 또는 n8/n26/n28/n100일 수 있다.
[PDCCH DMRS
PDCCH 전송 시에 PDCCH와 함께 puncturing/truncation/drop이 수행될 수 있다.
frequency position = N * 600 kHz + M * 50 kHz + 300 kHz,
1) 937.75 MHz = N(1562) * 600 kHz + M(5) * 50 kHz + 300 kHz = 937,750 kHz
5) 938.15 MHz = N(1563) * 600 kHz + M(1) * 50 kHz + 300 kHz = 938,150 kHz
6) 938.25 MHz = N(1563) * 600 kHz + M(3) * 50 kHz + 300 kHz = 938,250 kHz
