- HARQ-ACK transmission timing for multiple PDSCHs is designated as slot #(n+K1)
- UCI transmitted in slot #(n+K1) includes HARQ-ACK responses for multiple PDSCHs.
- Whether the UE should perform spatial bundling for HARQ-ACK response can be configured (e.g., RRC/higher layer signaling) for each cell group.
- spatial bundling can be individually configured for each HARQ-ACK response transmitted over PUCCH and/or each HARQ-ACK response transmitted over PUSCH.
- Spatial bundling may be supported when the maximum number of TBs (or codewords) that can be received at a time (or scheduled via 1 DCI) in a corresponding serving cell is 2 (or more than 2) (e.g., when the upper layer parameter maxNrofCodeWordsScheduledByDCI corresponds to 2-TB). Meanwhile, more than four layers may be used for 2-TB transmission, and at most four layers may be used for 1-TB transmission. Consequently, when spatial bundling is configured for a corresponding cell group, spatial bundling may be performed for serving cells in which more than four layers among serving cells in the corresponding cell group are schedulable. On the corresponding serving cell, a UE that wishes to transmit a HARQ-ACK response via spatial bundling may generate the HARQ-ACK response by performing a (bit-wise) logical AND operation on the A/N bits for multiple TBs.
- the terminal performing spatial bundling can generate a single A/N bit by performing a logical AND operation on the first A/N bit for the first TB and the second A/N bit for the second TB.
- the terminal reports the ACK bit value to the base station, and if either TB is NACK, the terminal reports the NACK bit value to the base station.
- the terminal can generate a single A/N bit by performing a logical AND operation on the A/N bit for the 1-TB and the bit value 1. As a result, the terminal reports the A/N bit for the 1-TB to the base station as is.
- Each HARQ process is associated with a HARQ buffer of a MAC (Medium Access Control) layer.
- Each DL HARQ process manages state variables such as the number of transmissions of MAC PDUs (Physical Data Blocks) in the buffer, HARQ feedback for MAC PDUs in the buffer, and current redundancy version.
- MAC PDUs Physical Data Blocks
- Each HARQ process is distinguished by a HARQ process ID.
- Figure 6 illustrates a PUSCH transmission process.
- a terminal can detect a PDCCH in slot #n.
- the PDCCH includes uplink scheduling information (e.g., DCI format 0_0, 0_1).
- DCI format 0_0, 0_1 can include the following information.
- Frequency domain resource assignment Indicates the RB set allocated to PUSCH.
- Time domain resource assignment Slot offset K2, indicating the starting position (e.g. symbol index) and length (e.g. number of OFDM symbols) of PUSCH within the slot.
- the starting symbol and length can be indicated through SLIV (Start and Length Indicator Value) or can be indicated separately.
- the terminal can transmit PUSCH in slot #(n+K2) according to the scheduling information of slot #n.
- the PUSCH includes UL-SCH TB.
- SRS is a UL reference signal transmitted by the terminal and received by the base station.
- the base station can perform link adaptation, DL channel estimation using channel reciprocity characteristics, UL beam management, UL precoding, and/or UL measurement.
- the terminal can receive SRS configuration information (e.g., TS38.331 SRS-Config IE) provided by the base station and determine parameters for SRS transmission based on the information.
- SRS configuration consists of a list of SRS-Resources, SRS-PosResources, SRS-ResourceSets, and SRS-PosResourcesets, where SRS-ResourceSets and SRS-PosResourcesets each include a set of SRS-Resources and SRS-PosResources.
- Table 6 is an excerpt from the TS38.331 SRS-Config IE.
- SRS-ResourceSet SEQUENCE ⁇ srs-ResourceSetId SRS-ResourceSetId, srs-ResourceIdList SEQUENCE (SIZE(1..maxNrofSRS-ResourcesPerSet)) OF SRS-ResourceId resourceType CHOICE ⁇ aperiodic SEQUENCE ⁇ aperiodicSRS-ResourceTrigger INTEGER (1..maxNrofSRS-TriggerStates-1); csi-RS NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceId slotOffset INTEGER (1..32) ..., [[aperiodicSRS-ResourceTriggerList SEQUENCE (SIZE(1..maxNrofSRS-TriggerStates-2)) OF INTEGER (1..maxNrofSRS-TriggerStates-1) ]] ⁇ , semi-persistent SEQUENCE ⁇ associatedCSI-RS NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceId ...
- SRS can be divided into three resource types depending on the setting and transmission method of time resources.
- the terminal determines the location where the SRS resource is transmitted based on the configured period and offset of the SRS resource set by RRC, and if configured, transmits the SRS periodically without separate signaling.
- the terminal determines the location where the SRS resource is transmitted based on the configured period and offset of the SRS resource set by RRC, and then starts periodic transmission of the indicated SRS if the transmission of the SRS is activated by MAC CE. If deactivated by MAC CE, the terminal stops transmitting the SRS.
- the terminal For SRS with the resource type set to aperiodic, the terminal transmits the indicated SRS by reflecting the position of the offset set by RRC based on the time of reception of DCI indicating triggering for the corresponding SRS resource set.
- DCI (e.g., UL scheduling DCI such as DCI format 0_1, 0_2) includes an SRS resource indicator (SRI) and an SRS request.
- SRI SRS resource indicator
- the SRI field can indicate SRS resources set within the SRS resource set associated with the upper layer parameter 'usage'.
- 'spatialRelationInfo' can be set for each SRS resource, and its value can be one of ⁇ CRI, SSB, SRI ⁇ .
- the UE can determine a PUSCH transmission precoder based on the SRI, TPMI (Transmit Precoding Matrix Indicator) and transmission rank of the DCI.
- the TPMI is used to indicate a precoder to be applied across antenna ports, and corresponds to an SRS resource selected by the SRI when multiple SRS resources are configured. Or, when a single SRS resource is configured, the TPMI is used to indicate a precoder to be applied across antenna ports, and corresponds to the single SRS resource.
- a transmission precoder is selected from an uplink codebook having the same number of antenna ports as the upper layer parameter 'nrofSRS-Ports'.
- the UE When the upper layer in which the UE is set to 'codebook' is configured with the parameter 'txConfig', the UE is configured with at least one SRS resource.
- the SRI indicated in slot n is associated with the most recent transmission of the SRS resource identified by the SRI, where the SRS resource precedes the PDCCH carrying the SRI (i.e., slot n).
- the UE can determine the PUSCH precoder and transmission rank based on the wideband SRI, where the SRI is given by an SRS resource indicator in the DCI or by a higher layer parameter 'srs-ResourceIndicator'.
- the UE uses one or multiple SRS resources for SRS transmission, where the number of SRS resources can be configured for simultaneous transmission within the same RB based on the UE capability. Only one SRS port is configured for each SRS resource. Only one SRS resource can be configured with the higher layer parameter 'usage' set to 'nonCodebook'.
- the maximum number of SRS resources that can be configured for non-codebook based uplink transmission is 4.
- the SRI indicated in slot n is associated with the most recent transmission of the SRS resource identified by the SRI, where the SRS transmission precedes the PDCCH carrying the SRI (i.e., slot n).

- Time domain behavior of CSI reporting supports periodic, semi-persistent, and aperiodic.
- Periodic CSI reporting is performed on short PUCCH and long PUCCH.
- the periodicity and slot offset of periodic CSI reporting can be set to RRC, and refer to the CSI-ReportConfig IE.
- SP (semi-periodic) CSI reporting is performed on short PUCCH, long PUCCH, or PUSCH. In case of SP CSI on short/long PUCCH, the periodicity and slot offset are set to RRC, and CSI reporting is activated/deactivated by separate MAC CE/DCI.
- SP CSI reporting In case of SP CSI on PUSCH, the periodicity of SP CSI reporting is set to RRC, but the slot offset is not set to RRC, and SP CSI reporting is activated/deactivated by DCI (format 0_1).
- DCI format 0_1

- DCI format 0_1 includes a CSI request field and can activate/deactivate a specific configured SP-CSI trigger state.
- SP CSI reporting has the same or similar activation/deactivation mechanism as the data transmission mechanism on SPS PUSCH.

- the channel properties may include one or more of Delay spread, Doppler spread, Frequency/Doppler shift, Average received power, Received Timing/average delay, and Spatial RX parameters.
- a terminal may set a list of multiple TCI-State configurations via the upper layer parameter PDSCH-Config.
- Each TCI-State is associated with one or two DL reference signals and a QCL configuration parameter between the DM-RS port of the PDSCH.
- the QCL may include qcl-Type1 for the first DL RS and qcl-Type2 for the second DL RS.
- the QCL type may correspond to one of the following:
- Fig. 8 illustrates a multi-TRP transmission.
- groups of layers transmitting the same CW (codeword) (or TB) correspond to different TRPs.
- different CWs are transmitted through layer groups of different TRPs.
- TBs corresponding to CW #1 and CW #2 in the figure are the same. That is, CW #1 and CW #2 mean that the same TB is converted into different CWs through channel coding, etc. by different TRPs, respectively. Therefore, it can be viewed as an example of repeated transmission of the same TB.
- Fig. 8(b) compared to Fig.
- the code rate corresponding to the TB is high.
- the code rate can be adjusted or the modulation order of each CW can be adjusted by indicating different RV (redundancy version) values for encoded bits generated from the same TB depending on the channel environment.
- the same TB is repeatedly transmitted through different layer groups, and since each layer group is transmitted by different TRPs/panels, the data reception probability of the terminal can be increased.
- This is referred to as an SDM (Spatial Division Multiplexing)-based M-TRP URLLC transmission method.
- Layers belonging to different layer groups are transmitted through DMRS ports belonging to different DMRS CDM groups, respectively.
- multiple TRP related content has been explained based on the SDM (spatial division multiplexing) method using different layers, it can be extended and applied to the FDM (frequency division multiplexing) method based on different frequency domain resources (e.g., RB/PRB (set) etc.) and/or the TDM (time division multiplexing) method based on different time domain resources (e.g., slots, symbols, sub-symbols etc.).
- frequency domain resources e.g., RB/PRB (set) etc.
- TDM time division multiplexing
- DL MTRP-URLLC means that the same data/DCI is transmitted by multiple TRPs using different layer/time/frequency resources.
- TRP 1 transmits the same data/DCI in resource 1
- TRP 2 transmits the same data/DCI in resource 2.
- a UE configured with the DL MTRP-URLLC transmission method receives the same data/DCI using different layer/time/frequency resources.
- the UE is instructed by the base station which QCL RS/type (i.e., DL TCI state) to use in the layer/time/frequency resource that receives the same data/DCI.
- the UE is instructed which DL TCI state is used in resource 1 and which DL TCI state is used in resource 2. Since the UE receives the same data/DCI through both resource 1 and resource 2, it can achieve high reliability.
- These DL MTRP URLLCs can be applied to PDSCH/PDCCH.
- UL MTRP-URLLC means that multiple TRPs receive the same data/UCI from a UE using different layer/time/frequency resources.
- TRP 1 receives the same data/DCI from the UE on resource 1
- TRP 2 receives the same data/DCI from the UE on resource 2, and then shares the received data/DCI through the connected backhaul link between the TRPs.
- a UE configured with the UL MTRP-URLLC transmission method transmits the same data/UCI using different layer/time/frequency resources.
- the UE is instructed by the base station which Tx beam and which Tx power (i.e., UL TCI state) to use in the layer/time/frequency resource transmitting the same data/UCI.
- This UL MTRP URLLC can be applied to PUSCH/PUCCH.
- using (mapping) a specific TCI state (or TCI) when receiving data/DCI/UCI for a certain frequency/time/spatial resource can mean that, in the case of DL, a channel is estimated from DMRS using the QCL type and QCL RS indicated by the corresponding TCI state in the frequency/time/spatial resource, and data/DCI is received/demodulated with the estimated channel.
- DL a channel is estimated from DMRS using the QCL type and QCL RS indicated by the corresponding TCI state in the frequency/time/spatial resource, and data/DCI is received/demodulated with the estimated channel.
- UL it can mean that DMRS and data/UCI are transmitted/modulated using the Tx beam and/or Tx power indicated by the corresponding TCI state in the frequency/time/spatial resource.
- the above UL TCI state contains Tx beam or Tx power information of the UE, and may be set to the UE through other parameters such as spatial relation info instead of the TCI state.
- the UL TCI state may be directly indicated in the UL grant DCI, or may mean spatial relation info of an SRS resource indicated through the SRI field of the UL grant DCI. Or, it may mean an OL Tx power control parameter ( j: index for open loop parameters Po & alpha (maximum 32 parameter value sets per cell), q_d: index of DL RS resource for PL measurement (maximum 4 measurements per cell), l: closed loop power control process index (maximum 2 processes per cell) ) linked to the value indicated through the SRI field of the UL grant DCI.
- MTRP-eMBB means that different data is transmitted using different layers/time/frequency of Multiple TRPs, and a UE set to the MTRP-eMBB transmission method is instructed to multiple TCI states by DCI, and it is assumed that the data received using the QCL RS of each TCI state are different data.
- whether it is MTRP URLLC transmission/reception or MTRP eMBB transmission/reception can be identified by the UE by separately using the RNTI for MTRP-URLLC and the RNTI for MTRP-eMBB. That is, if the RNTI for URLLC is used for CRC masking of DCI, it is identified as URLLC transmission, and if the RNTI for eMBB is used for CRC masking of DCI, it is identified as eMBB transmission.
- the base station can set MTRP URLLC transmission/reception or MTRP eMBB transmission/reception to the UE through other new signaling.
- the proposed method is applied by assuming cooperative transmission/reception between 2 TRPs, but it can also be applied to a multi-TRP environment of 3 or more, and can be expanded to a multi-panel environment.
- Different TRPs can be recognized by the UE as different TCI states, and when the UE receives/transmits data/DCI/UCI using TCI state 1, it means that the data/DCI/UCI is received/transmitted from/to TRP 1.
- the proposals in this specification can be utilized in situations where MTRP performs cooperative transmission of PDCCH (repeated transmission or divided transmission of the same PDCCH), and some of the proposals can also be utilized in situations where MTRP performs cooperative transmission of PDSCH or cooperative reception of PUSCH/PUCCH.
- the meaning that multiple base stations (i.e. MTRP) repeatedly transmit the same PDCCH may mean that the same DCI is transmitted through multiple PDCCH candidates, and is the same as the meaning that multiple base stations repeatedly transmit the same DCI.
- the same DCI may mean two DCIs having the same DCI format/size/payload. Or, even if the payloads of the two DCIs are different, they may be referred to as the same DCI if the scheduling results are the same.
- the TDRA (time domain resource allocation) field of the DCI relatively determines the slot/symbol positions of data and the slot/symbol positions of A/N based on the reception time of the DCI, and if the DCI received at time n and the DCI received at time n+1 inform the UE of the same scheduling result, the TDRA fields of the two DCIs will be different, and as a result, the DCI payloads will inevitably be different.
- the number of repetitions R can be directly instructed by the base station to the UE or can be mutually agreed upon.
- the scheduling result of one DCI is a subset of the scheduling result of the other DCI, they can be said to be the same DCI.
- the same data is TDMed and repeatedly transmitted N times
- DCI 1 received before the first data indicates data repetition N times
- DCI 2 received after the first data and before the second data indicates data repetition N-1 times.
- the scheduling data of DCI 2 becomes a subset of the scheduling data of DCI 1, and since both DCIs are scheduling for the same data, they can also be said to be the same DCI in this case.
- the meaning that multiple base stations (i.e. MTRPs) divide and transmit the same PDCCH can mean, for example, that one DCI is transmitted through one PDCCH candidate, but some resources for which the PDCCH candidate is defined are transmitted by TRP 1 and the remaining resources are transmitted by TRP 2.
- TRP 1 and TRP 2 divide and transmit a PDCCH candidate corresponding to aggregation level m1+m2
- the PDCCH candidate is divided into PDCCH candidate 1 corresponding to aggregation level m1 and PDCCH candidate 2 corresponding to aggregation level m2
- TRP 1 transmits PDCCH candidate 1 and TRP 2 transmits PDCCH candidate 2 using different time/frequency resources.
- the UE After receiving PDCCH candidate 1 and PDCCH candidate 2, the UE generates a PDCCH candidate corresponding to aggregation level m1+m2 and attempts DCI decoding.
- the DCI payload (control information bits + CRC) is encoded through a channel encoder (e.g. polar encoder), and the resulting coded bits are divided and transmitted by two TRPs.
- the coded bits transmitted by each TRP may encode the entire DCI payload or only a part of the DCI payload.
- the DCI payload (control information bits + CRC) is divided into two (DCI 1 and DCI 2) and encoded through a channel encoder (e.g. polar encoder). After that, the two TRPs transmit the coded bits corresponding to DCI 1 and the coded bits corresponding to DCI 2, respectively.
- the PDCCH is transmitted repeatedly or dividedly, it can be understood that the PDCCH is transmitted multiple times over multiple Transmission Occasions (i.e., TOs), where TO means a specific time/frequency resource unit in which the PDCCH is transmitted.
- TO means a specific time/frequency resource unit in which the PDCCH is transmitted.
- TO can mean each slot
- the PDCCH is transmitted multiple times (in a specific slot) over RB sets 1, 2, 3, and 4
- TO can mean each RB set
- TO can mean each time/frequency resource.
- the TCI state used for DMRS channel estimation can be set differently for each TO, and it can be assumed that TOs with different TCI states are transmitted by different TRPs/panels.
- the PDCCH When multiple base stations transmit the PDCCH repeatedly or in divided portions, it means that the PDCCH is transmitted across multiple TOs, and the union of the TCI states set for the TOs consists of two or more TCI states.
- TCI states 1,2,3,4 may be set for TOs 1,2,3,4 respectively, which means that TRP i cooperatively transmitted the PDCCH in TO i.
- a UE when a UE repeatedly transmits the same PUSCH so that multiple base stations (i.e. MTRPs) can receive it, it may mean that the same data is transmitted through multiple PUSCHs, and each PUSCH may be transmitted while being optimized for a UL channel of a different TRP.
- PUSCH 1 when a UE repeatedly transmits the same data through PUSCH 1 and 2, PUSCH 1 is transmitted using UL TCI state 1 for TRP 1, and link adaptation such as precoder/MCS is also transmitted by scheduling a value optimized for the channel of TRP 1.
- PUSCH 2 is transmitted using UL TCI state 2 for TRP 2, and link adaptation such as precoder/MCS is also transmitted by scheduling a value optimized for the channel of TRP 2.
- PUSCH 1 and 2 that are repeatedly transmitted may be transmitted at different times and may be TDM, FDM, or SDM.
- the meaning that the UE divides the same PUSCH and transmits it so that multiple base stations (i.e. MTRPs) can receive it is that one data can be transmitted through one PUSCH, but the resources allocated to the PUSCH can be split and transmitted in an optimized manner on UL channels of different TRPs.
- the UE transmits the same data through a 10 symbol PUSCH, and the first 5 symbols are transmitted using UL TCI state 1 for TRP 1, and link adaptation such as precoder/MCS are also transmitted by scheduling values optimized for the channel of TRP 1.
- the remaining 5 symbols are transmitted using UL TCI state 2 for TRP 2, and link adaptation such as precoder/MCS are also transmitted by scheduling values optimized for the channel of TRP 2.
- one PUSCH is divided into time resources and transmission toward TRP 1 and transmission toward TRP 2 are performed in TDM, but it can also be transmitted in FDM/SDM manner.
- PUCCH can also be transmitted repeatedly by the UE for reception by multiple base stations (i.e. MTRP) or by dividing the same PUCCH.
- antenna structures can be broadly divided into three types depending on whether coherency between antenna ports can be maintained.
- Coherency can be maintained between some antenna ports among the total.
- Coherency can be maintained between all antenna ports.
- Fig. 9 illustrates an example of an 8Tx partial-coherent antenna configuration.
- the dotted lines represent coherent port groups.
- Ng is the number of coherent port groups.
- an antenna group may also mean an antenna panel.
- Fig. 10 illustrates another example of an antenna configuration corresponding to 8Tx Partial-coherent level 1. Specifically, compared to Fig. 9(a), Fig. 10 illustrates a case where port grouping is performed differently according to port index in Partial-coherent level 1.
- a coherent port group can be a set of ports where coherency is maintained from SRS transmission to PUSCH transmission.
- Each coherent port group can correspond to each panel.
- an associated SRS resource or SRS resource set can be individually configured for each coherent port group.
- NR supports 1, 2, 4, and 8 Tx uplink transmissions.
- it is physically challenging to place multiple transmit/receive antennas in a narrow space, and even if supported, there is a disadvantage in that it is very costly.
- it is necessary to support a more practical antenna layout, and therefore, it is necessary to consider 3 port Tx transmission.
- codebook-based or non-codebook-based uplink transmission can be considered to support it, and this specification proposes methods for codebook-based transmission in particular.
- Figure 11 is an example of the uplink 3Tx antenna layout of a terminal.
- the uplink 3Tx antenna ports (hereinafter referred to as ports) of the terminal can be largely divided into three types.
- X-pol cross-polarization
- antenna coherency in the case of the X-pol antenna, it can be configured as one panel, and in this case, in the case of two antenna ports, antenna coherency can be well maintained.
- antenna coherency or uplink coherent transmission means whether the phase difference between the antennas between SRS transmission and PUSCH transmission in the uplink transmission of the terminal can be maintained, so as to properly reflect the performance for a specific codebook, and in the case of the antenna coherency, it can be configured as a capability of the terminal.
- 3Tx uplink transmission (for codebook based UL), the following three levels of coherency are considered.
- Non-coherency When no port is capable of coherent transmission, i.e., when 1 port coherent transmission is possible.
- Proposal 1 in the case of partial coherent, it means a case where a 2-port group forms a coherent group, such as the same antenna group (e.g., dotted line), as in the second and third in Fig. 11, and the other ports are non-coherent with the group.
- a 2-port group forms a coherent group, such as the same antenna group (e.g., dotted line), as in the second and third in Fig. 11, and the other ports are non-coherent with the group.
- At least some of the following options can be used to configure the 3Tx Full coherent codebook.
- the codebook according to Opt 1 can be composed as follows.
- Equation 1 b is a vector where b ⁇ C 2 ⁇ 1 and is generated based on the UL 2Tx codebook.
- b can be generated as in Equation 2.
- the codebook normalize factor is omitted for convenience of explanation.
- b can be based on mathematical expression 3, and in order to maintain orthogonality, a codebook in the form of mathematical expression 4 can be configured.
- the values of x and y can be composed/determined by subsets of, for example, ⁇ 1, j, -1, -j ⁇ .
- rank 3 expansion is not possible due to the lack of UL 2Tx dimension. Therefore, by borrowing a layer orthogonal projection method for rank 1 codebook, for example, House-holder transform based approach or Given's rotation based approach or Gram-Schmidt method, the layer orthogonality procedure can be used to configure the codebook by extending the given rank 1 codebook to rank 2/3.
- the terminal and the base station must know the codebook configuration method, and for this purpose, the layer orthogonality procedure must be defined in the standard.
- Mathematical expression 5 assumes an oversampling factor of 1, so the total codebook size is 3. In order to increase codebook performance and configure a larger codebook size, it is also possible to increase the oversampling factor to 2, and in this case, the additionally increased codebook is as shown in Mathematical Expression 6.
- the oversampling factor can be set by the base station through RRC, etc., or a value agreed upon in advance can be used.
- the codebook elements mapped to each port are not integers like QPSK/BPSK, but are expressed as real numbers. This is a problem that occurs when using length-3 DFT, and if the codebook factors are expressed as real numbers rather than integers, more complexity may be required to implement the corresponding codebook. Therefore, the oversampling factor to be applied/used to the length-3 DFT-based codebook or the length-3 DFT codebook can be set/indicated based on the capability of the terminal.
- the DFT-based codebook is easy to create a rank-2 codebook because each vector is orthogonal (i.e., in the case of Equation 5, vectors in Equation 5 are orthogonal, and in the case of Equation 6, vectors in Equation 6 are orthogonal). That is, in the case of the above rank2 codebook, two out of the three candidate vectors in Equation 5 can be selected and configured as in Equation 7.
- Mathematical expression 6 can also be extended/applied to Rank 2 like Mathematical expression 7.
- a predefined orthogonal set (not the DFT) can be used.
- a codebook based on the basis of the mathematical expression 10 below can be considered, and the normalization factor in the codebook is 2.
- Such basis can be agreed upon in advance or configured by the base station.
- the method of configuring rank 1/2/3 can be implemented using the method of option 2 described above.
- the legacy 4Tx codebook is used.
- Table 7 is a legacy 4Tx UL codebook, and the TPMI index 12-27 becomes a full coherent codebook.
- a codebook that uses only 3 ports out of the given 4 ports is used for the uplink precoder.
- how to map and use 3 ports out of the 4 ports can be agreed upon in advance, or the base station can set it in advance.
- ports 1, 2, and 3 can be used, and if the base station indicates with TPMI index 27, for example, in the case of 4Tx, it means that although it is [1, -j, -j, -1] T , the terminal recognizes it as a 3 Tx codebook, that is, [1, -j, -j] T , and operates.
- this option 5 can reuse the existing codebook design without a separate codebook design, but it is difficult to expand to rank 2/3 with this method. This is because it is difficult to maintain orthogonality when the orthogonality is maintained when length-4 is arbitrarily reduced to length-3. Therefore, when using this option, it can be operated/configured/supported only for rank 1.
- the method of option 1/3/5 that can utilize the alphabet granularity of the existing codebook such as QPSK/BSPK can be used, and for the above options, since it is not easy to extend to rank 2/3, if the above option is considered as a UL 3Tx codebook, the full coherent case is supported only for rank 1.
- the remaining ranks 2 and/or 3 they can be configured by combination/combination based on the partial coherent and/or non-coherent codebook configuration method described below.
- Equation 11 For 3Tx Partial coherent codebook, a codebook configuration like Equation 11 can be considered.
- Equation 11 For the partial coherent codebook of Proposal 3, 2-port partial coherency of 2+1 and 2-port partial coherency of 1+2 can be considered as in Fig. 11.
- Equation 11 exemplifies 2+1, and an example of 1+2 is as shown in Equation 12.
- the above example is an example of row permutation, and the 2+1 and 1+2 port mapping orders are agreed upon in advance, so that a codebook can be configured or one of the two codebooks can be set/instructed to the terminal based on the capability report of the terminal.
- Proposal 4 is a non-coherent codebook configuration method, which can be configured with a port selection codebook like the legacy configuration method.
- the rank 1 codebook can be configured by the base station based on the coherent capability of full and/or partial and/or non-coherent, and can set a specific codebook/codebook subset.
- a specific full coherent codebook e.g., option 1/3/4/5 of proposal 2
- the rank-2 and/or 3 codebook can be configured solely or in combination with all or part of the methods of option 2 of proposal 2 or proposals 3/4. That is, a characteristic of the corresponding full coherent is a codebook/codebook subset that can appear only in a specific rank.
- 3 port SRS resources can be determined/transmitted, and 4 port SRS resource mapping/transmission method can be reused for such SRS transmission. For example, even if a terminal is scheduled with 4 port SRS resource, the terminal can understand and operate that the SRS resource is used as 3 Tx codebook based UL by using SRI field or new field/indicator in DCI.
- Option 2 Using one or more SRI fields or new fields/indicators in DCI, indicate multiple SRS resources (e.g., 2+1 or 1+1+1), and use the number of ports that aggregate the above SRS resources (3 ports in the above example) for PUSCH transmission.
- multiple SRS resources e.g., 2+1 or 1+1+1
- Proposal 5 instead of creating a 3-port SRS resource, existing legacy SRS resources can be reused.
- a 4-port resource can be utilized as it is, but in the case of a 3-port capable UE, only a 3-port can be configured as a subset of the resource when operating a 3-port.
- the UE can perform SRS sequence generation for each of the three ports by utilizing only three CS values out of the four CS values, and/or (ii) in a situation where 4 ports are configured/multiplexed by a combination of CS values and comb offsets, the UE can configure two combs by using two comb offsets, but use only one (the same) CS value for one of the two combs, thereby performing SRS sequence generation/mapping for each of the three ports. That is, one comb can support 1 port configuration through 1 CS value, and another comb can support 2 ports configuration/multiplexing through 2 CS values. Therefore, a total of 3 ports can be configured/multiplexed for a total of 2 combs.
- Option 2 has the advantage of improving resource flexibility.
- specific aggregated SRS resources may not overlap, or a minimum/maximum gap (e.g., X symbol/slot) can be defined between the aggregated SRS resources.
- a minimum/maximum gap e.g., X symbol/slot
- multiple SRI fields introduced for MTRP uplink transmission can be reused to individually indicate SRS aggregation resources.

이를 위해 단말은 기지국으로부터 SSB(Synchronization Signal Block)를 수신한다. SSB는 PSS(Primary Synchronization Signal), SSS(Secondary Synchronization Signal) 및 PBCH(Physical Broadcast Channel)를 포함한다.
UCI는 HARQ ACK/NACK(Hybrid Automatic Repeat and reQuest Acknowledgement/Negative-ACK), SR(Scheduling Request), CSI(Channel State Information) 등을 포함한다. CSI는 CQI(Channel Quality Indicator), PMI(Precoding Matrix Indicator), RI(Rank Indication) 등을 포함한다.
각 슬롯은 CP(cyclic prefix)에 따라 12개 또는 14개의 OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 심볼을 포함한다.

| SCS (15*2^u) | Nslot symb | Nframe,u slot | Nsubframe,u slot |
| 60KHz (u=2) | 12 | 40 | 4 |
PDCCH는 DCI(Downlink Control Information)를 운반한다.
PDCCH는 AL(Aggregation Level)에 따라 1, 2, 4, 8, 16개의 CCE(Control Channel Element)로 구성된다. CCE는 6개의 REG(Resource Element Group)로 구성된다. PDCCH는 CORESET(Control Resource Set)를 통해 전송된다.

PDSCH는 하향링크 데이터(예, DL-SCH transport block, DL-SCH TB)를 운반하고, QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying), 16 QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation), 64 QAM, 256 QAM 등의 변조 방법이 적용된다.
PUCCH는 UCI(Uplink Control Information)를 나른다.
- SR(Scheduling Request): UL-SCH
- HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest)-ACK(Acknowledgement): PDSCH 상의 하향링크 데이터 패킷(예, 코드워드)에 대한 응답이다. HARQ-ACK 응답은 포지티브 ACK(간단히, ACK), 네거티브 ACK(NACK), DTX 또는 NACK/DTX를 포함한다.
- CSI(Channel State Information): MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output)-관련 피드백 정보는 RI(Rank Indicator) 및 PMI(Precoding Matrix Indicator)를 포함한다.
| PUCCH format | Length in OFDM symbols NPUCCH symb | Number of bits | Usage | Etc |
| 0 | 1 - 2 | ≤2 | HARQ, SR | Sequence selection |
| 1 | 4 - 14 | ≤2 | HARQ, [SR] | Sequence modulation |
| 2 | 1 - 2 | >2 | HARQ, CSI, [SR] | CP-OFDM |
| 3 | 4 - 14 | >2 | HARQ, CSI, [SR] | DFT-s-OFDM (no UE multiplexing) |
| 4 | 4 - 14 | >2 | HARQ, CSI, [SR] | DFT-s-OFDM (Pre DFT OCC) |
DMRS는 변조 심볼이 전송되지 않는 심볼에서 전송된다(즉, TDM(Time Division Multiplexing)되어 전송된다).
변조 심볼은 DMRS와 TDM(Time Division Multiplexing)되어 전송된다.
변조 심볼은 DMRS와 TDM(Time Division Multiplexing)되어 전송된다.
PUSCH는 상향링크 데이터(예, UL-SCH transport block, UL-SCH TB) 및/또는 상향링크 제어 정보(UCI)를 운반하고, CP-OFDM(Cyclic Prefix - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 파형(waveform) 또는 DFT-s-OFDM(Discrete Fourier Transform - spread - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 파형에 기초하여 전송된다.
- PDSCH-to-HARQ_feedback timing indicator: K1
예컨대, 단말이 2-TB를 스케줄링하는 DCI를 수신하고, 해당 DCI에 기초하여 PDSCH를 통해서 2-TB를 수신하였다고 가정할 때, 공간 번들링을 수행하는 단말은 제1 TB에 대한 제1 A/N 비트와 제2 TB에 대한 제2 A/N 비트를 논리적 AND 연산하여 단일 A/N 비트를 생성할 수 있다.
예컨대, 2-TB가 수신 가능하도록 구성(configure)된 서빙 셀 상에서 실제로 1-TB 만 스케줄된 경우, 단말은 해당 1-TB에 대한 A/N 비트와 비트 값 1을 논리적 AND 연산하여 단일 A/N 비트를 생성할 수 있다.
각각의 HARQ 프로세스는 MAC(Medium Access Control) 계층의 HARQ 버퍼와 연관된다.
- Time domain resource assignment: 시작 심볼과 길이는 SLIV(Start and Length Indicator Value)를 통해 지시되거나, 각각 지시될 수 있음.
SRS (sounding reference signal)
| SRS-ResourceSet ::= SEQUENCE { srs-ResourceSetId SRS-ResourceSetId, srs-ResourceIdList SEQUENCE (SIZE(1..maxNrofSRS-ResourcesPerSet)) OF SRS-ResourceId resourceType CHOICE { aperiodic SEQUENCE { aperiodicSRS-ResourceTrigger INTEGER (1..maxNrofSRS-TriggerStates-1), csi-RS NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceId slotOffset INTEGER (1..32) ..., [[aperiodicSRS-ResourceTriggerList SEQUENCE (SIZE(1..maxNrofSRS-TriggerStates-2)) OF INTEGER (1..maxNrofSRS-TriggerStates-1) ]] }, semi-persistent SEQUENCE { associatedCSI-RS NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceId ... }, periodic SEQUENCE { associatedCSI-RS NZP-CSI-RS-ResourceId ... } }, usage {beamManagement, codebook, nonCodebook, antennaSwitching}, alpha Alpha p0 INTEGER (-202..24) pathlossReferenceRS PathlossReferenceRS-Config srs-PowerControlAdjustmentStates ENUMERATED { sameAsFci2, separateClosedLoop} ..., [[pathlossReferenceRSList-r16 SetupRelease { PathlossReferenceRSList-r16} ]] } SRS-Resource ::= SEQUENCE { srs-ResourceId SRS-ResourceId, nrofSRS-Ports ENUMERATED {port1, ports2, ports4}, ptrs-PortIndex ENUMERATED {n0, n1 } transmissionComb CHOICE { n2 SEQUENCE { combOffset-n2 INTEGER (0..1), cyclicShift-n2 INTEGER (0..7) }, n4 SEQUENCE { combOffset-n4 INTEGER (0..3), cyclicShift-n4 INTEGER (0..11) } }, resourceMapping SEQUENCE { startPosition INTEGER (0..5), nrofSymbols ENUMERATED {n1, n2, n4}, repetitionFactor ENUMERATED {n1, n2, n4} }, freqDomainPosition INTEGER (0..67), freqDomainShift INTEGER (0..268), freqHopping SEQUENCE { c-SRS INTEGER (0..63), b-SRS INTEGER (0..3), b-hop INTEGER (0..3) }, groupOrSequenceHopping ENUMERATED { neither, groupHopping, sequenceHopping }, resourceType CHOICE { aperiodic SEQUENCE { ... }, semi-persistent SEQUENCE { periodicityAndOffset-sp SRS-PeriodicityAndOffset, ... }, periodic SEQUENCE { periodicityAndOffset-p SRS-PeriodicityAndOffset, ... } }, sequenceId INTEGER (0..1023), spatialRelationInfo SRS-SpatialRelationInfo ..., [[ resourceMapping-r16 SEQUENCE { startPosition-r16 INTEGER (0..13), nrofSymbols-r16 ENUMERATED {n1, n2, n4}, repetitionFactor-r16 ENUMERATED {n1, n2, n4} } ]] } |
CMR(channel measurement resource)는 CSI acquisition을 위한 NZP CSI-RS일 수 있으며, IMR(Interference measurement resource)는 CSI-IM과 IM을 위한 NZP CSI-RS일 수 있다.
(i) 피드백 타입은 채널 품질 지시자(Channel Quality Indicator, CQI), 프리코딩 행렬 지시자(Precoding Matrix Indicator, PMI), CRI(CSI-RS Resource Indicator), SSBRI(SSB Resource block Indicator), LI(Layer Indicator), 랭크 지시자(Rank Indicator, RI), 제 1 계층-참조신호수신전력(L1-Reference Signal Received Strength, RSRP) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
CSI(channel state information)은 채널 품질 지시자(channel quality indicator, CQI), 프리코딩 행렬 지시자 (precoding matrix indicator, PMI), CSI-RS resource indicator (CRI), SS/PBCH block resource indicator (SSBRI), layer indicator (LI), rank indicator (RI), L1-RSRP 및/또는 L-SINR 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
CSI reporting의 time domain behavior는 periodic, semi-persistent, aperiodic을 지원한다. i) periodic CSI reporting은 short PUCCH, long PUCCH 상에서 수행된다. Periodic CSI reporting의 주기(periodicity) 및 슬롯 오프셋(slot offset)은 RRC로 설정될 수 있으며, CSI-ReportConfig IE를 참고한다. ii) SP(semi-periodic) CSI reporting은 short PUCCH, long PUCCH, 또는 PUSCH 상에서 수행된다. Short/long PUCCH 상에서 SP CSI인 경우, 주기(periodicity) 및 슬롯 오프셋(slot offset)은 RRC로 설정되며, 별도의 MAC CE / DCI로 CSI 보고가 activation/deactivation 된다. DCI format 0_1은 CSI request field를 포함하고, 특정 configured SP-CSI trigger state를 activation/deactivation할 수 있다.
QCL (quasi-co location)
- 'QCL-TypeA': {Doppler shift, Doppler spread, average delay, delay spread}
- 'QCL-TypeB': {Doppler shift, Doppler spread}
- 'QCL-TypeC': {Doppler shift, average delay}
- 'QCL-TypeD': {Spatial Rx parameter}
M-TRP(multiple-transmission/reception point)
이를 SDM(Spatial Division Multiplexing) 기반 M-TRP URLLC 전송 방식으로 지칭한다.
MTRP URLLC
Tx beam and/or Tx power를 이용하여 DMRS 및 데이터/UCI를 송신/변조한다는 것을 의미할 수 있다.
상기 UL TCI state는 UE의 Tx beam or Tx power 정보를 담고 있으며, TCI state 대신 Spatial relation info 등을 다른 parameter를 통해 UE에게 설정될 수도 있다. UL TCI state는 UL grant DCI에 직접 지시될 수 있으며 또는 UL grant DCI의 SRI 필드를 통해 지시된 SRS resource의 spatial relation info를 의미할 수 있다. 또는 UL grant DCI의 SRI 필드를 통해 지시된 값에 연결된 OL Tx power control parameter ( j: index for open loop parameters Po & alpha (maximum 32 parameter value sets per cell), q_d: index of DL RS resource for PL measurement (maximum 4 measurements per cell), l: closed loop power control process index (maximum 2 processes per cell) )를 의미할 수 있다.
반면 MTRP-eMBB는 다른 데이터를 Multiple TRP가 다른 layer/time/frequency를 이용하여 전송하는 것을 의미하며 MTRP-eMBB 전송 방식을 설정 받은 UE는 DCI로 여러 TCI state를 지시받고 각 TCI state의 QCL RS를 이용하여 수신한 데이터는 서로 다른 데이터임 가정한다.
두 번째 방식은 DCI payload (control information bits + CRC)를 둘(DCI 1 and DCI 2)로 나누고 각각 channel encoder (e.g. polar encoder)를 통해 encoding한다.
예를 들어 PDCCH가 slot 1,2,3,4에 걸쳐 (특정 RB로) 다회 전송되었다면 TO는 각 slot을 의미할 수 있으며, PDCCH가 RB set 1,2,3,4에 걸쳐 (특정 slot에서) 다회 전송되었다면 TO는 각 RB set을 의미할 수 있으며, 또는 PDCCH가 서로 다른 시간과 주파수에 걸쳐 다회 전송되었다면 TO는 각 시간/주파수 자원을 의미할 수 있다. 또한 TO 별로 DMRS 채널 추정을 위해 사용되는 TCI state가 다르게 설정될 수 있으며, TCI state가 다르게 설정된 TO는 서로 다른 TRP/panel가 전송한 것으로 가정할 수 있다. 예를 들어 PDCCH가 TO 1,2,3,4에 걸쳐 전송되는 경우 TO 1,2,3,4 각각에 TCI state 1,2,3,4가 설정될 수 있고, 이는 TRP i가 TO i에서 PDCCH를 협력 전송하였음을 의미한다.
Antenna Coherency
UL transmission based on 3 Tx antenna port
3Tx 상향링크 전송 (for codebook based UL)에서, 다음의 세 level의 coherency를 고려한다.
- Opt 2. Length-3 DFT vector 기반 codebook
- Opt 3. Port-wise phase
- Opt 4. Pre-defined/configure length-3 basis
(i) Rank1
ρ는 b와 co-phase를 맞추기 위한 인자로, pre-defined rule을 통하여 사전에 약속하거나 아니면 기지국 설정에 의하여, ρ={1,-1} or {1,j,-1,-j} 등과 같이 alphabet이 BPSK or QPSK or 8PSK 등으로 구성될 수 있다.
(ii) Rank 2
(iii) Rank 3
House-holder transform based approach or Given's rotation based approach or Gram-Schmidt 방식을 차용하여, layer orthogonality procedure를 이용하여, 상기 given rank 1 codebook을 rank 2/3으로 확장 적용하여 코드북을 구성할 수 있다.
(i) Rank 1
(iii) Rank 3
나머지 rank 2 and/or 3의 경우, 아래 후술되는 partial coherent and/or non-coherent 코드북 구성 방식에 기초하여 결합/조합으로 구성될 수 있다.
3Tx Partial coherent codebook
3Tx Non coherent codebook
상술한 바 대로, rank 1 codebook은 full and/or partial and/or non-coherent의 coherent capability에 기초하여, 기지국이 설정해 특정 codebook/codebook subset을 설정해줄 수 있다.
