Description

蓄電デバイス、外装フィルム、蓄電デバイスの製造方法
 本発明は、蓄電デバイス、外装フィルム、および、蓄電デバイスの製造方法に関する。
 特許文献1は、蓄電デバイスの一例を開示している。この蓄電デバイスは、電極体と、電極体を封止する外装体と、を備える。外装体は、電極体を包む外装フィルムと、外装フィルムと接合される蓋体と、を備える。外装フィルムと蓋体とは、ヒートシールによって接合される。
特開2022-123686号公報
 上記蓄電デバイスでは、外装フィルムと蓋体との間から外装体の内部に水分が侵入するおそれがある。このため、上記蓄電デバイスは、水分バリア性について、なお改善の余地がある。
 本発明は、水分バリア性が高い蓄電デバイス、この蓄電デバイスに用いられる外装フィルム、および、この蓄電デバイスの製造方法を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の第1観点に係る蓄電デバイスは、電極体と、前記電極体を封止する外装体と、を備え、前記外装体は、前記電極体を包む外装フィルムと、前記外装フィルムとともに前記電極体を封止する蓋体と、を有し、前記外装フィルムは、金属材料を含んで構成されるバリア層を含み、前記蓋体は、金属材料を含んで構成される部分を含み、前記外装フィルムの前記バリア層と、前記蓋体の金属材料を含んで構成される部分とが、直接的に接合される。
 本発明の第2観点に係る蓄電デバイスは、第1観点に係る蓄電デバイスであって、前記外装フィルムのうちの前記蓋体の金属材料を含んで構成される部分と接合される部分は、前記バリア層の単層である。
 本発明の第3観点に係る蓄電デバイスは、第1観点に係る蓄電デバイスであって、前記外装フィルムは、前記バリア層に積層される他の層を含み、前記外装フィルムのうちの前記蓋体の金属材料を含んで構成される部分と接合される部分は、前記他の層から前記バリア層が部分的に露出した部分である。
 本発明の第4観点に係る蓄電デバイスは、第1観点~第3観点のいずれか1つに係る蓄電デバイスであって、前記蓋体は、被覆体と、前記被覆体と接合される蓋本体と、を有し、前記被覆体および前記蓋本体の少なくとも一方は、金属材料を含んで構成され、前記外装体は、前記被覆体と前記蓋本体とによって前記外装フィルムが挟まれた封止部を有し、前記外装フィルムの前記バリア層は、前記封止部において、前記被覆体および前記蓋本体のうちの金属材料を含んで構成される部分と直接的に接合される。
 本発明の第5観点に係る外装フィルムは、蓄電デバイスの外装体として用いられる外装フィルムであって、前記外装体は、金属材料を含んで構成される蓋体を有し、前記外装フィルムは、金属材料を含んで構成されるバリア層を含み、前記蓋体のうちの前記金属材料を含んで構成される部分と接合される部分は、前記バリア層の単層である、または、他の層から前記バリア層が部分的に露出している。
 本発明の第6観点に係る蓄電デバイスの製造方法は、電極体と、前記電極体を封止する外装体と、を備え、前記外装体は、前記電極体を包む外装フィルムと、前記外装フィルムとともに前記電極体を封止する蓋体と、を有し、前記外装フィルムは、金属材料を含んで構成されるバリア層を含み、前記蓋体は、金属材料を含んで構成される部分を含む蓄電デバイスの製造方法である。前記蓄電デバイスの製造方法は、前記外装フィルムの前記バリア層と、前記蓋体の金属材料を含んで構成される部分とを、直接的に接合する工程を含む。
 本発明に関する蓄電デバイス、外装フィルム、および、蓄電デバイスの製造方法によれば、水分バリア性が高い。

 以下、図面を参照しつつ、本発明の実施形態に係る蓄電デバイスについて説明する。なお、本明細書において、「~」で示される数値範囲は「以上」、「以下」を意味する。例えば、2~15mmとの表記は、2mm以上15mm以下を意味する。
 [1.実施形態]
 <1-1.蓄電デバイスの構成>
 図1は、実施形態の蓄電デバイス10を模式的に示す斜視図である。図2は、図1の蓄電デバイス10が備える外装フィルム50の層構成の一例を示す断面図である。図3は、図1の蓄電デバイス10が備える外装フィルム50を広げた状態の図である。図4Aは、図1の蓄電デバイス10が備える被覆体70の斜視図である。図4Bは、図4AのD4B-D4B線に沿う断面図である。図5は、図1の蓄電デバイス10が備える蓋本体80の斜視図である。図6は、図1の蓄電デバイス10の正面図である。図7は、図1のD7-D7線に沿う断面図である。なお、図1において、矢印UD方向は蓄電デバイス10の厚み方向を示し、矢印LR方向は蓄電デバイス10の幅方向を示し、矢印FB方向は、蓄電デバイス10の奥行方向を示す。矢印UDLRFBの各々が示す方向は、以後の各図においても共通である。
 蓄電デバイス10は、集電体30(図7参照)を含む電極体20と、外装体40と、を備える。電極体20は、例えば、リチウムイオン電池、キャパシタ、全固体電池、半固体電池、擬固体電池、ポリマー電池、全樹脂電池、鉛蓄電池、ニッケル・水素蓄電池、ニッケル・カドミウム蓄電池、ニッケル・鉄蓄電池、ニッケル・亜鉛蓄電池、酸化銀・亜鉛蓄電池、金属空気電池、多価カチオン電池、または、コンデンサー等の蓄電部材を構成する電極(正極および負極)ならびに、セパレータ等を含む。本実施形態では、電極体20の形状は、略直方体である。なお、「略直方体」とは、完全な直方体の他に、例えば、外面の一部の形状を修正することによって直方体とみなせるような立体を含む。電極体20の形状は、例えば、円柱または多角柱であってもよい。
 外装体40は、電極体20を封止する。外装体40は、外装フィルム50および蓋体60を備える。本実施形態では、外装フィルム50は、電極体20に巻き付けられる。なお、筒状に構成された外装フィルム50の内部に電極体20を収容してもよい。外装体40は、一対の第1面41A、41B、および、一対の第2面42A、42Bを有する。本実施形態では、一対の第1面41A、41Bは、実質的に同じ大きさである。本実施形態では、一対の第2面42A、42Bは、実質的に同じ大きさである。一対の第1面41A、41Bは、一対の第2面42A、42Bよりも面積が大きい。一対の蓋体60は、電極体20の側方にそれぞれ配置される。
 例えば、冷間成形を通じて外装フィルム50に電極体20を収容する窪みを形成する方法がある。しかし、このような方法によって深い窪みを形成することは必ずしも容易ではない。冷間成形によって窪みを深く(たとえば成形深さ15mm)形成しようとすると外装フィルム50にピンホールまたはクラックが発生し、電池性能の低下を招く可能性が高くなる。一方、外装体40は、外装フィルム50を電極体20に巻き付けることによって電極体20を封止しているため、電極体20の厚みに拘わらず容易に電極体20を封止することができる。なお、蓄電デバイス10の体積エネルギー密度を向上させるべく電極体20と外装フィルム50との間のデッドスペースを削減するためには、外装フィルム50が電極体20の外表面に接するように巻き付けられた状態が好ましい。また、全固体電池においては、電池性能を発揮させるために高い圧力を電池外面から均一に掛けることが必要とされている観点からも電極体20と外装フィルム50との間の空間を無くすことが必要とされるため、外装フィルム50が電極体20の外表面に接するように巻き付けられた状態が好ましい。
 図2に示されるように、外装フィルム50は、例えば、基材層51、バリア層52、および、熱融着性樹脂層53をこの順に有する積層体(ラミネートフィルム)である。なお、外装フィルム50には、これらの層がすべて含まれている必要はなく、少なくともバリア層52が含まれていればよい。すなわち、外装フィルム50は、フレキシブル性を有し曲げやすい材料で構成されていればよく、例えば、樹脂フィルムで構成されていてもよい。なお、外装フィルム50は、ヒートシール可能であることが好ましい。外装フィルム50は、最内層および最外層が熱融着性樹脂層53であってもよい。この場合、外装フィルム50は、最外層と最内層とが接合されることによって、電極体20および蓋体60を包んでもよい。
 外装フィルム50の全体の厚さは、任意に選択可能である。強度の観点から外装フィルム50の厚さは、50μm以上であることが好ましい。成形性または追従性の観点から、外装フィルム50の厚さは、1200μm以下であることが好ましい。外装フィルム50の厚さは、50μm以上1200μm以下の範囲に含まれることが好ましい。
 外装フィルム50に含まれる基材層51は、耐熱性を外装フィルム50に付与し、加工または流通の際に起こり得るピンホールの発生を抑制するための層である。基材層51は、例えば、延伸ポリエステル樹脂層および延伸ポリアミド樹脂層の少なくとも一層を含んで構成される。例えば、基材層51が延伸ポリエステル樹脂層および延伸ポリアミド樹脂層の少なくとも一層を含むことにより、外装フィルム50の加工時にバリア層52を保護し、外装フィルム50の破断を抑制することができる。また、外装フィルム50の引張伸びを大きくする観点から、延伸ポリエステル樹脂層は二軸延伸ポリエステル樹脂層であることが好ましく、延伸ポリアミド樹脂層は二軸延伸ポリアミド樹脂層であることが好ましい。さらに、突刺強度または衝撃強度に優れる点から、延伸ポリエステル樹脂層は二軸延伸ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)フィルムであることがより好ましく、延伸ポリアミド樹脂層は二軸延伸ナイロン(ONy)フィルムであることがより好ましい。なお、基材層51は、延伸ポリエステル樹脂層および延伸ポリアミド樹脂層の両層を含んで構成されていてもよい。基材層51の厚さは、フィルム強度の点から、例えば5~300μmであることが好ましく、5~150μmであることがより好ましい。
 バリア層52は、少なくとも水分の浸入を抑止する層である。バリア層52は、例えば、接着層54を介して基材層51と接合される。バリア層52としては、例えば、バリア性を有する金属箔、蒸着膜、樹脂層などが挙げられる。蒸着膜としては金属蒸着膜、無機酸化物蒸着膜、炭素含有無機酸化物蒸着膜などが挙げられ、樹脂層としてはポリ塩化ビニリデン、クロロトリフルオロエチレン(CTFE)を主成分としたポリマー類やテトラフルオロエチレン(TFE)を主成分としたポリマー類やフルオロアルキル基を有するポリマー、およびフルオロアルキル単位を主成分としたポリマー類などのフッ素含有樹脂、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体などが挙げられる。また、バリア層52としては、これらの蒸着膜及び樹脂層の少なくとも1層を設けた樹脂フィルムなども挙げられる。バリア層52は、複数層設けてもよい。本実施形態では、バリア層52は、金属材料により構成された層を含む。バリア層52を構成する金属材料としては、具体的には、アルミニウム合金、ステンレス鋼、チタン鋼、鋼板などが挙げられ、金属箔として用いる場合は、アルミニウム合金箔、及びステンレス鋼箔の少なくとも一方を含むことが好ましい。
 バリア層52において、前述した金属材料により構成された層は、金属材料のリサイクル材を含んでいてもよい。金属材料のリサイクル材としては、例えば、アルミニウム合金、ステンレス鋼、チタン鋼、又は鋼板のリサイクル材が挙げられる。これらのリサイクル材は、それぞれ、公知の方法で入手できる。アルミニウム合金のリサイクル材は、例えば、国際公開第2022/092231号に記載の製造方法によって入手できる。バリア層52は、リサイクル材のみによって構成されてもよいし、リサイクル材とバージン材との混合材料によって構成されもよい。なお、金属材料のリサイクル材とは、いわゆる市中で使用された各種製品や、製造工程から出る廃棄物などを回収・単離・精製などを行って再利用可能な状態にした金属材料をいう。また、金属材料のバージン材とは、金属の天然資源(原材料)から精錬された新品の金属材料であって、リサイクル材でないものをいう。
 アルミニウム合金箔は、外装フィルム50の成形性または追従性を向上させる観点から、例えば、焼きなまし処理済みのアルミニウム合金などにより構成された軟質アルミニウム合金箔であることがより好ましく、より成形性または追従性を向上させる観点から、鉄を含むアルミニウム合金箔であることが好ましい。鉄を含むアルミニウム合金箔(100質量%)において、鉄の含有量は、0.1~9.0質量%であることが好ましく、0.5~2.0質量%であることがより好ましい。鉄の含有量が0.1質量%以上であることにより、より優れた成形性を有する外装フィルム50を得ることができる。鉄の含有量が9.0質量%以下であることにより、より柔軟性に優れた外装フィルム50を得ることができる。また必要に応じて、ケイ素、マグネシウム、銅、マンガンなどが添加されていてもよい。また軟質化は焼鈍処理などで行うことができる。外装フィルム50の機械強度を向上させる観点からは、アルミニウム合金箔は、例えば加工硬化済みのアルミニウム合金などにより構成された硬質アルミニウム合金箔であることがより好ましい。硬質アルミニウム合金箔としては、例えば、JIS H4160:1994 A8021H-H18、JIS H4160:1994 A8079H-H18、JIS H4000:2014 A8021P-H14、又はJIS H4000:2014 A8079P-H14で規定される組成を備えるアルミニウム合金箔が挙げられる。外装フィルム50の機械強度を向上させる観点からは、アルミニウム合金箔は、マグネシウムを含むアルミニウム合金箔であることが好ましい。マグネシウムを含むアルミニウム合金箔(100質量%)において、マグネシウムの含有量は、0.2~5.6質量%であることが好ましく、0.2~3.0質量%であることがより好ましい。マグネシウムを含むアルミニウム合金箔としては、例えば、JIS H4000:2017 A5005P-O、JIS H4000:2017 A5050P-O、JISH4000:2017 A5052P-Oで規定される組成を備えるアルミニウム合金箔が挙げられる。
 また、ステンレス鋼箔としては、オーステナイト系、フェライト系、オーステナイト・フェライト系、マルテンサイト系、析出硬化系のステンレス鋼箔などが挙げられる。さらに成形性に優れた外装フィルム50を提供する観点から、ステンレス鋼箔は、オーステナイト系のステンレス鋼により構成されていることが好ましい。
 ステンレス鋼箔を構成するオーステナイト系のステンレス鋼の具体例としては、SUS304、SUS301、SUS316Lなどが挙げられ、これら中でも、SUS304が特に好ましい。
 バリア層52の厚みは、金属箔の場合、少なくとも水分の浸入を抑止するバリア層としての機能を発揮すればよく、例えば5~1000μm程度が挙げられる。バリア層52の厚みは、好ましくは約85μm以下、より好ましくは約50μm以下、さらに好ましくは約40μm以下、特に好ましくは約35μm以下である。また、バリア層52の厚みは、好ましくは約9.0μm以上、さらに好ましくは約20μm以上、より好ましくは約25μm以上である。また、バリア層52の厚みの好ましい範囲としては、9.0~1000μm程度、9.0~1000μm程度、9.0~1000μm程度、9.0~1000μm程度、9.0~85μm程度、9.0~50μm程度、9.0~40μm程度、9.0~35μm程度、20~85μm程度、20~50μm程度、20~40μm程度、20~35μm程度、25~85μm程度、25~50μm程度、25~40μm程度、25~35μm程度が挙げられる。バリア層52がアルミニウム合金箔により構成されている場合、上述した範囲が特に好ましい。また、外装フィルム50に高成形性及び高剛性を付与する観点からは、バリア層52の厚みは、好ましくは約35μm以上、より好ましくは約45μm以上、さらに好ましくは約50μm以上、さらに好ましくは約55μm以上であり、また、好ましくは約200μm以下、より好ましくは約85μm以下、さらに好ましくは約75μm以下、さらに好ましくは約70μm以下であり、好ましい範囲としては、35~200μm程度、35~85μm程度、35~75μm程度、35~70μm程度、45~200μm程度、45~85μm程度、45~75μm程度、45~70μm程度、50~200μm程度、50~85μm程度、50~75μm程度、50~70μm程度、55~200μm程度、55~85μm程度、55~75μm程度、55~70μm程度である。外装フィルム50が高成形性を備えることにより、深絞り成形が容易となり、蓄電デバイスの高容量化に寄与し得る。また、蓄電デバイスが高容量化されると、蓄電デバイスの重量が増加するが、外装フィルム50の剛性が高められることにより、蓄電デバイスの高い密封性に寄与できる。また、特に、バリア層52がステンレス鋼箔により構成されている場合、ステンレス鋼箔の厚みは、好ましくは約60μm以下、より好ましくは約50μm以下、さらに好ましくは約40μm以下、さらに好ましくは約30μm以下、特に好ましくは約25μm以下である。また、ステンレス鋼箔の厚みは、好ましくは約10μm以上、より好ましくは約15μm以上である。また、ステンレス鋼箔の厚みの好ましい範囲としては、10~60μm程度、10~50μm程度、10~40μm程度、10~30μm程度、10~25μm程度、15~60μm程度、15~50μm程度、15~40μm程度、15~30μm程度、15~25μm程度が挙げられる。
 また、バリア層52がアルミニウム箔の場合は、溶解や腐食の防止などのために、少なくとも基材層51と反対側の面に耐腐食性皮膜を備えていることが好ましい。バリア層52は、耐腐食性皮膜を両面に備えていてもよい。ここで、耐腐食性皮膜とは、例えば、ベーマイト処理などの熱水変成処理、化成処理、陽極酸化処理、ニッケルやクロムなどのメッキ処理、コーティング剤を塗工する腐食防止処理をバリア層52の表面に行ない、バリア層52に耐腐食性(例えば耐酸性、耐アルカリ性など)を備えさせる薄膜をいう。耐腐食性皮膜は、具体的には、バリア層52の耐酸性を向上させる皮膜(耐酸性皮膜)、バリア層52の耐アルカリ性を向上させる皮膜(耐アルカリ性皮膜)などを意味している。耐腐食性皮膜を形成する処理としては、1種類を行なってもよいし、2種類以上を組み合わせて行なってもよい。また、1層だけではなく多層化することもできる。さらに、これらの処理のうち、熱水変成処理および陽極酸化処理は、処理剤によって金属箔表面を溶解させ、耐腐食性に優れる金属化合物を形成させる処理である。なお、これらの処理は、化成処理の定義に包含される場合もある。また、バリア層52が耐腐食性皮膜を備えている場合、耐腐食性皮膜を含めてバリア層52とする。
 耐腐食性皮膜は、外装フィルム50の成形時において、バリア層52(例えば、アルミニウム合金箔)と基材層51との間のデラミネーション防止、電解質と水分とによる反応で生成するフッ化水素により、バリア層52表面の溶解、腐食、特にバリア層52がアルミニウム合金箔である場合にバリア層52表面に存在する酸化アルミニウムが溶解、腐食することを防止し、かつ、バリア層52表面の接着性(濡れ性)を向上させ、ヒートシール時の基材層51とバリア層52とのデラミネーション防止、成形時の基材層51とバリア層52とのデラミネーション防止の効果を示す。
 熱融着性樹脂層53は、例えば、接着層55を介してバリア層52と接合される。外装フィルム50に含まれる熱融着性樹脂層53は、外装フィルム50にヒートシールによる封止性を付与する層である。熱融着性樹脂層53としては、ポリエチレンテレフタレート系樹脂、ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂などのポリエステル系樹脂、ポリエチレン系樹脂、ポリプロピレン系樹脂等のポリオレフィン系樹脂、または、これらのポリオレフィン系樹脂を無水マレイン酸等の酸でグラフト変性させた酸変性ポリオレフィン系樹脂からなる樹脂フィルムが挙げられる。熱融着性樹脂層53の厚さは、シール性および強度の点から、例えば20~300μmであることが好ましく、40~150μmであることがより好ましい。
 外装フィルム50は、熱融着性樹脂層53よりも外側に、より好ましくは、バリア層52よりも外側に1または複数の緩衝機能を有する層(以下では、「緩衝層」という)を有していることが好ましい。緩衝層は、基材層51の外側に積層されてもよく、基材層51が緩衝層の機能を兼ね備えてもよい。外装フィルム50が複数の緩衝層を有する場合、複数の緩衝層は、隣接していてもよく、基材層51またはバリア層52等を介して積層されてもよい。
 緩衝層を構成する材料は、クッション性を有する材料から任意に選択可能である。クッション性を有する材料は、例えば、ゴム、不織布、または、発泡シートである。ゴムは、例えば、天然ゴム、フッ素ゴム、または、シリコンゴムである。ゴム硬度は、20~90程度であることが好ましい。不織布を構成する材料は、耐熱性に優れる材料であることが好ましい。緩衝層が不織布によって構成される場合、緩衝層の厚さの下限値は、好ましくは、100μm、さらに好ましくは、200μm、さらに好ましくは、1000μmである。緩衝層が不織布によって構成される場合、緩衝層の厚さの上限値は、好ましくは、5000μm、さらに好ましくは、3000μmである。緩衝層の厚さの好ましい範囲は、100μm~5000μm、100μm~3000μm、200μm~5000μm、200μm~3000μm、1000μm~5000μm、または、1000μm~3000μmである。この中でも、緩衝層の厚さの範囲は、1000μm~3000μmが最も好ましい。
 緩衝層がゴムによって構成される場合、緩衝層の厚さの下限値は、好ましくは、0.5mmである。緩衝層がゴムによって構成される場合、緩衝層の厚さの上限値は、好ましくは、10mm、さらに好ましくは、5mm、さらに好ましくは、2mmである。緩衝層がゴムによって構成される場合、緩衝層の厚さの好ましい範囲は、0.5mm~10mm、0.5mm~5mm、または、0.5mm~2mmである。
 外装フィルム50が緩衝層を有する場合、緩衝層がクッションとして機能するため、蓄電デバイス10が落下したときの衝撃、または、蓄電デバイス10の製造時のハンドリングによって、外装フィルム50が破損することが抑制される。
 蓋体60は、被覆体70と、蓋本体80とを、を有する。
 図4に示される被覆体70は、例えば、中空の直方体に類似する形状である。被覆体70の内部には、空間79が形成される。被覆体70を構成する材料は、任意に選択可能である。後述する第2封止部92を好適に形成する観点から、被覆体70は、金属材料を含んで構成されることが好ましい。ここで、「金属材料を含んで構成される」とは、被覆体70を構成する材料の全体を100質量%としたときに、金属材料の含有率が50質量%以上、好ましくは80質量%以上、より好ましくは90質量%以上、さらに好ましくは95質量%以上であることをいうものとする。すなわち、被覆体70を構成する材料は、金属材料に加え、金属材料以外の材料を含有することができる。被覆体70を構成する金属材料は、任意に選択可能である。被覆体70を構成する金属材料は、例えば、アルミニウム、アルミニウム合金、ニッケル、銅、または、銅合金である。例えば、電極体20がリチウムイオン電池である場合、正極に接続される被覆体70は、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金によって構成されることが好ましい。負極に接続される被覆体70は、ニッケル、銅、または、銅合金によって構成されることが好ましい。負極に接続される被覆体70を構成する材料は、銅にニッケルめっきを施したものとしてもよい。被覆体70を構成する材料は、金属材料のリサイクル材を含んでいてもよい。本実施形態では、被覆体70は、金属材料のみによって構成される。被覆体70は、金属材料を含んで構成されるため、電極端子としての機能も兼ねる。このため、蓄電デバイス10の構成を簡素化できる。被覆体70が金属材料を含んで構成される場合、被覆体70は、バリア層52で説明した耐腐食性皮膜を有していることが好ましい。
 別の例では、被覆体70は、樹脂材料を含んで構成されてもよい。ここで、「樹脂材料を含んで構成される」とは、被覆体70を構成する材料の全体を100質量%としたときに、樹脂材料の含有率が50質量%以上、好ましくは80質量%以上、より好ましくは90質量%以上、さらに好ましくは95質量%以上であることをいうものとする。すなわち、被覆体70を構成する材料は、樹脂材料に加え、樹脂材料以外の材料を含有することができる。
 樹脂の具体例としては、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィン、ポリアミド、エポキシ樹脂、アクリル樹脂、フッ素樹脂、ポリウレタン、珪素樹脂、及びフェノール樹脂などの樹脂や、これらの樹脂の変性物等の熱可塑性樹脂が挙げられる。また、樹脂材料は、これらの樹脂の混合物であってもよいし、共重合物であってもよいし、共重合物の変性物であってもよい。樹脂材料は、これらの中でも、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィンなどの熱融着性樹脂であることが好ましく、ポリオレフィンがより好ましい。樹脂材料が樹脂である場合、接合部80Bは、どのような成形方法で成形されてもよい。
 被覆体70を構成する材料に含まれる樹脂材料は、オレフィン系のランダム共重合体であることが好ましく、ポリオレフィン骨格を含む樹脂を主成分として含んでいることがさらに好ましく、ポリオレフィンを主成分として含んでいることがさらに好ましく、ポリプロピレンを主成分として含んでいることがさらに好ましい。ポリオレフィンは、酸変性ポリオレフィンであってもよい。被覆体70を構成する材料に含まれる樹脂材料は、複数種類のアミド系滑剤が存在していることが好ましい。また、被覆体70を構成する材料に含まれる樹脂材料は、飽和脂肪酸アミドに加えて、複数種類のアミド系滑剤が不飽和脂肪酸アミドをさらに含むことが好ましい。被覆体70を構成する材料に含まれる樹脂材料は、融点が150℃より高いプロピレン系エラストマーを添加したポリオレフィン樹脂であってもよい。
 ポリエステルとしては、具体的には、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンナフタレート、ポリブチレンナフタレート、ポリエチレンイソフタレート、共重合ポリエステル等が挙げられる。また、共重合ポリエステルとしては、エチレンテレフタレートを繰り返し単位の主体とした共重合ポリエステル等が挙げられる。具体的には、エチレンテレフタレートを繰り返し単位の主体としてエチレンイソフタレートと重合する共重合体ポリエステル(以下、ポリエチレン(テレフタレート/イソフタレート)にならって略す)、ポリエチレン(テレフタレート/アジペート)、ポリエチレン(テレフタレート/ナトリウムスルホイソフタレート)、ポリエチレン(テレフタレート/ナトリウムイソフタレート)、ポリエチレン(テレフタレート/フェニル-ジカルボキシレート)、ポリエチレン(テレフタレート/デカンジカルボキシレート)等が挙げられる。樹脂材料は、これらの中でも、耐熱性及び耐圧性を高める観点から、ポリブチレンテレフタレートであることが好ましい。
 また、ポリオレフィンとしては、具体的には、低密度ポリエチレン、中密度ポリエチレン、高密度ポリエチレン、線状低密度ポリエチレン等のポリエチレン;エチレン-αオレフィン共重合体;ホモポリプロピレン、ポリプロピレンのブロックコポリマー(例えば、プロピレンとエチレンのブロックコポリマー)、ポリプロピレンのランダムコポリマー(例えば、プロピレンとエチレンのランダムコポリマー)等のポリプロピレン;プロピレン-αオレフィン共重合体;エチレン-ブテン-プロピレンのターポリマー等が挙げられる。共重合体である場合のポリオレフィン樹脂は、ブロック共重合体であってもよく、ランダム共重合体であってもよい。樹脂材料は、これらの中でも、熱融着性及び耐電解液性に優れることから、ポリプロピレンが好ましい。
 上記樹脂材料としての樹脂は、必要に応じてフィラーを含有してもよい。フィラーの具体例としては、ガラスビーズ、グラファイト、ガラス繊維、及びカーボン繊維等が挙げられる。樹脂材料としての樹脂が上記フィラーを含有することにより、接合部80Bの温度変化に対する変形耐性を向上させることができる。
 被覆体70を構成する材料に含まれる樹脂材料のメルトマスフローレートは、1g/10min~100g/10minの範囲に含まれることが好ましく、5g/10min~80g/10minの範囲に含まれることがさらに好ましい。メルトマスフローレートは、JIS K7210-1:2014に基づいて測定される。メルトマスフローレートの測定温度は、230℃である。
 被覆体70は、第1面70Xおよび第2面70Yを有する。第1面70Xは、電極体20と面する。第1面70Xには、概ね全体に開口部70Zが形成される。第2面70Yは、第1面70Xと反対側の面である。第2面70Yには、後述する蓋本体80が嵌め込まれる開口部70YAが形成される。開口部70YAは、第2面70Yを貫通する。正面視における開口部70YAの形状は、蓋本体80の形状に応じて任意に選択可能である。開口部70YAの形状は、正方形、長方形、三角形以上の多角形、円、または、楕円であってもよい。本実施形態では、正面視における開口部70YAの形状は、長方形である。開口部70YAの角は、R加工が施されることによって丸みを帯びていることが好ましい。被覆体70が樹脂材料を含んで構成される場合、蓋本体80を好適に接合する観点から、開口部70YAの内周面の少なくとも一部には、金属材料および樹脂材料に接合可能な接着性フィルムが接合されることが好ましい。別の例では、被覆体70が樹脂材料を含んで構成される場合、蓋本体80を好適に接合する観点から、被覆体70のうちの開口部70YAの内周面に対応する部分の少なくとも一部は、金属材料と接合可能な層を有することが好ましい。
 被覆体70は、上部71、側部72、73、下部74、および、突出部70Aを含む。上部71は、蓋体60の上面を構成する。上部71は、蓋体60の正面視において、第1方向(本実施形態では、LR方向)に延びる。側部72および側部73は、上部71と繋がり、蓋体60の側面を構成する。側部72および側部73は、蓋体60の正面視において、第1方向と交差する第2方向(本実施形態では、UD方向)に延びる。本実施形態では、蓋体60の正面視において、第1方向と第2方向とは、直交する。第1方向と第2方向とは、蓋体60の正面視において、直交していなくてもよい。下部74は、蓋体60の下面を構成する。下部74は、蓋体60の正面視において、第1方向(本実施形態では、LR方向)に延びる。
 突出部70Aは、上部71、側部72、73、下部74から被覆体70の内方に突出する。突出部70Aは、蓋本体80を被覆する部分、換言すれば、開口部70YAを画定する。上部71、側部72、73、下部74からの突出部70Aの突出量は任意に選択可能である。上部71、側部72、73、下部74からの突出部70Aの突出量が大きい程、開口部70YAの開口面積は小さくなる。換言すれば、上部71、側部72、73、下部74からの突出部70Aの突出量が小さい程、開口部70YAの開口面積は大きくなる。被覆体70においては、突出部70Aが省略されてもよい。
 被覆体70は、境界75、76、77、78をさらに含む。境界75は、上部71と側部72との境界である。境界76は、上部71と側部73との境界である。境界77は、下部74と側部72との境界である。境界78は、下部74と側部73との境界である。境界75~78の形状は、角であってもよく、R加工が施されることによって丸みを帯びていてもよい。本実施形態では、境界75~78は、角である。
 図5に示される蓋本体80は、金属材料を含んで構成される。「金属材料を含んで構成される」の定義、および、蓋本体80を構成する金属材料に関する諸元は、被覆体70と同様である。蓋本体80は、樹脂材料を含んで構成されてもよい。「樹脂材料を含んで構成される」の定義、および、蓋本体80を構成する樹脂材料に関する諸元は、被覆体70と同様である。被覆体70および蓋本体80の少なくとも一方は、金属材料を含んで構成される。本実施形態では、被覆体70および蓋本体80は、金属材料を含んで構成される。蓋本体80は、第1面81、第2面82、および、被覆部83を有する。第1面81は、電極体20と面する。第1面81は、電極体20の集電体(図示略)の端部と例えば、溶接等によって接合される。第2面82は、第1面81と反対側の面である。第2面82には、電極端子が接続されてもよい。蓋本体80が金属材料を含んで構成される場合、蓋本体80は、バリア層52で説明した耐腐食性皮膜を有していることが好ましい。
 被覆部83は、第1面81および第2面82と繋がり、被覆体70によって少なくとも一部が被覆される。本実施形態では、蓋本体80が被覆体70の開口部70YAに嵌め込まれることによって、被覆部83の全体が開口部70YAの内周面によって被覆される。蓋本体80が被覆体70の開口部70YAに嵌め込まれた状態において、被覆部83の一部は、被覆体70から露出していてもよい。蓋本体80は、開口部70Zに嵌め込まれてもよい。
 被覆部83は、第1被覆部83A、第2被覆部83B、第3被覆部83C、および、第4被覆部83Dを含む。第1被覆部83Aは、蓋本体80の上面を構成する。第1被覆部83Aは、蓋本体80の正面視において、第1方向(本実施形態では、LR方向)に延びる。第2被覆部83Bおよび第3被覆部83Cは、第1被覆部83Aと繋がり、蓋本体80の側面を構成する。第2被覆部83Bおよび第3被覆部83Cは、蓋本体80の正面視において、第1方向と交差する第2方向(本実施形態では、UD方向)に延びる。本実施形態では、蓋本体80の正面視において、第1方向と第2方向とは、直交する。第1方向と第2方向とは、蓋本体80の正面視において、直交していなくてもよい。第4被覆部83Dは、蓋本体80の下面を構成する。第4被覆部83Dは、蓋本体80の正面視において、第1方向(本実施形態では、LR方向)に延びる。
 被覆部83は、境界84、85、86、87をさらに含む。境界84は、第1被覆部83Aと第2被覆部83Bとの境界である。境界85は、第1被覆部83Aと第3被覆部83Cとの境界である。境界86は、第4被覆部83Dと第2被覆部83Bとの境界である。境界87は、第4被覆部83Dと第3被覆部83Cとの境界である。境界84~88の形状は、角であってもよく、R加工が施されることによって丸みを帯びていてもよい。本実施形態では、境界84~87は、角である。
 蓋体60が全体として板状である場合、蓄電デバイス10が重ねて配置された場合であっても、外装体40が変形することが抑制されるように、蓋体60は、ある程度の厚さを有していることが好ましい。FB方向における被覆体70の厚さの最小値は、例えば、例えば、1.0mmであり、3.0mmがより好ましく、4.0mmがさらに好ましい。蓋体60の被覆体70の厚さの最大値は、例えば、20mmであり、15mmがより好ましく、10mmがさらに好ましい。蓋体60の被覆体70の厚さの最大値は、20mm以上であってもよい。蓋体60の被覆体70の厚さの好ましい範囲は、1.0mm~20mm、1.0mm~15mm、1.0mm~10mm、3.0mm~20mm、3.0mm~15mm、3.0mm~10mm、4.0mm~20mm、4.0mm~15mm、4.0mm~10mmである。なお、蓋体60の被覆体70の厚さは、蓋体60の部位によって異なっていてもよい。蓋体60の被覆体70の厚さが部位によって異なる場合、蓋体60の被覆体70の厚さは、最も厚い部分の厚さである。
 本実施形態では、外装フィルム50の互いに向き合う面(熱融着性樹脂層53)同士がヒートシールされることによって、第1封止部91が形成される。
 第1封止部91は、図3に示される外装フィルム50の第1縁50Aと第2縁50Bとが重ね合わせられた部分を含んで構成される。第1封止部91は、外装体40の長手方向(FB方向)に延びる。外装体40において、第1封止部91が形成される位置は、任意に選択可能である。本実施形態では、第1封止部91の根本91Xは、外装体40の第1面41Aと第2面42Aとの境界の辺43上に位置することが好ましい。第1封止部91の根本91Xは、外装体40の任意の面上に位置していてもよい。蓄電デバイス10を小型に構成する観点から、蓄電デバイス10の使用時には、第1封止部91は、例えば、外装体40の第1面41Aまたは第2面42Aに折り畳まれることが好ましい。
 本実施形態では、被覆体70の開口部70YAの内周面と被覆部83とによって、FB方向における外装フィルム50の端部を含む部分が挟まれることによって、第2封止部92(図6および図7参照)が形成される。
 図7に示されるように、第2封止部92においては、外装フィルム50のうちのバリア層52と、蓋体60のうちの金属材料を含んで構成される部分とが直接的に接合される。本実施形態において、「直接的に接合される」とは、外装フィルム50のうちのバリア層52と蓋体60のうちの金属材料を含んで構成される部分とが、他の要素を介さずに接合されることを意味する。本実施形態では、被覆体70および蓋本体80は、金属材料を含んで構成される。このため、第2封止部92においては、外装フィルム50のバリア層52は、被覆体70および蓋本体80と直接的に接合される。外装フィルム50のバリア層52と、被覆体70および蓋本体80とは、例えば、金属溶接によって接合される。金属溶接は、例えば、アーク溶接、ティグ溶接、スポット溶接、ろう接、ガス溶接、または、レーザー溶接等である。外装フィルム50のバリア層52と、被覆体70および蓋本体80とは、例えば、超音波溶接によって接合されてもよい。また、外装フィルム50のバリア層52と、被覆体70の上部71、側部72、73、下部74とが直接的に接合されてもよい。この場合、被覆体70と蓋本体80とは、金属溶接、かしめる、または、接着剤を用いて接合されてもよい。なお、図7では、図面の簡略化のため、接着層54、55の図示を省略している。
 図7に示される例では、外装フィルム50のうちの第2封止部92を構成する部分、換言すれば、外装フィルム50のうちの被覆体70および蓋本体80と接合される部分は、バリア層52に対して基材層51および熱融着性樹脂層53が積層されていない。すなわち、外装フィルム50のうちの第2封止部92を構成する部分は、バリア層52の単層である。
 <1-2.蓄電デバイスの製造方法>
 図8は、蓄電デバイス10の製造方法の一例を示すフローチャートである。蓄電デバイス10の製造方法は、例えば、第1工程、第2工程、第3工程、第4工程、第5工程、および、第6工程を含む。第1工程~第6工程は、例えば、蓄電デバイス10の製造装置によって実施される。第1工程~第6工程の少なくとも一部は、作業者によって実施されてもよい。なお、第1工程~第6工程は、蓄電デバイス10の製造方法の各工程の名称を便宜的に規定したものであって、各工程の順序を必ずしも意味するものではない。以下の各工程の順序は、任意に変更可能である。
 ステップS1の第1工程では、製造装置は、電極体20の側方に一対の蓋本体80を配置し、電極体20と蓋本体80とを電気的に接続する。
 ステップS2の第2工程は、第1工程よりも後に実施される。第2工程では、製造装置は、外装フィルム50によって電極体20、および、一対の蓋本体80を包む。
 ステップS3の第3工程は、第2工程よりも後に実施される。第3工程では、端部シール部を形成する。端部シール部は、外装フィルム50のうちの第1封止部91が形成される予定の部分において、LR方向の両端部を含む所定範囲を接合した部分である。端部シール部は、第1面41Aまたは第2面42Aに向けて折り畳まれる。
 ステップS4の第4工程は、第3工程よりも後に実施される。第4工程では、製造装置は、被覆体70の開口部70YAに蓋本体80を嵌め込む。第4工程が完了することによって、外装フィルム50のうちのFB方向の端部を含む部分、および、端部シール部は、被覆体70の開口部70YAの内周面と、蓋本体80の被覆部83との間に挟まれる。
 ステップS5の第5工程は、第4工程よりも後に実施される。第5工程では、製造装置は、被覆体70、蓋本体80、および、外装フィルム50を溶接することによって、第2封止部92を形成する。被覆体70、蓋本体80、および、外装フィルム50の接合を1つの工程で完了できるため、蓄電デバイス10を容易に製造できる。
 ステップS6の第6工程は、第5工程よりも前または後に実施される。第6工程では、製造装置は、外装フィルム50の第1縁50Aを含む部分の熱融着性樹脂層53と、第2縁50Bを含む部分の熱融着性樹脂層53とを、ヒートシールすることによって、第1封止部91を形成する。
 <1-3.蓄電デバイスの作用および効果>
 蓄電デバイス10は、外装フィルム50のバリア層52と、蓋体60のうちの金属材料を含んで構成される部分とが溶接によって直接的に接合されるため、第2封止部92から外装体40の内部に水分が侵入することが抑制される。このため、蓄電デバイス10は、水分バリア性が高い。
 [2.変形例]
 上記実施形態は本発明に関する蓄電デバイス、外装フィルム、および、蓄電デバイスの製造方法が取り得る形態の例示であり、その形態を制限することを意図していない。本発明に関する蓄電デバイス、外装フィルム、および、蓄電デバイスの製造方法は、実施形態に例示された形態とは異なる形態を取り得る。その一例は、実施形態の構成の一部を置換、変更、もしくは、省略した形態、または、実施形態に新たな構成を付加した形態である。以下に実施形態の変形例の幾つかの例を示す。なお、以下の変形例は、技術的に矛盾しない限り互いに組み合わせることができる。
 <2-1.第1変形例>
 上記実施形態において、被覆体70は、樹脂材料を含んで構成され、蓋本体80は、金属材料を含んで構成されてもよい。図9は、第1変形例の蓄電デバイス10の断面図である。第1変形例では、外装フィルム50は、最内層および最外層が熱融着性樹脂層53A、53Bであることが好ましい。外装フィルム50のうちの第2封止部92において蓋本体80と直接的に接合される部分は、最内層である熱融着性樹脂層53Aが部分的に除去されることが好ましい。図9に示される例では、外装フィルム50のうちの第2封止部92において蓋本体80と直接的に接合される部分は、最内層である熱融着性樹脂層53Aが部分的に除去され、バリア層52が露出している。第2封止部92において、外装フィルム50のバリア層52と蓋本体80とは、溶接によって接合される。第2封止部92において、外装フィルム50の最外層である熱融着性樹脂層53Bと被覆体70とは、例えば、ヒートシールによって接合されてもよい。第1封止部91は、熱融着性樹脂層53Aと熱融着性樹脂層53Bとがヒートシールされることによって形成されることが好ましい。第4工程において、端部シール部を被覆体70の開口部70YAの内周面と、蓋本体80の被覆部83との間に挟む必要がないため、蓄電デバイス10を容易に製造できる。
 <2-2.第2変形例>
 上記実施形態において、被覆体70は、金属材料を含んで構成され、蓋本体80は、樹脂材料を含んで構成されてもよい。図10は、第2変形例の蓄電デバイス10の断面図である。第2変形例では、外装フィルム50は、最内層および最外層が熱融着性樹脂層53A、53Bであることが好ましい。外装フィルム50のうちの第2封止部92において被覆体70と直接的に接合される部分は、最外層である熱融着性樹脂層53Bが部分的に除去され、バリア層52が露出している。第2封止部92において、外装フィルム50のバリア層52と被覆体70とは、溶接によって接合される。第2封止部92において、外装フィルム50の最内層である熱融着性樹脂層53Aと蓋本体80とは、例えば、ヒートシールによって接合されてもよい。
 <2-3.第3変形例>
 上記実施形態において、蓋体60は、被覆体70を有していなくてもよい。図11は、第3変形例の蓄電デバイス10の断面図である。第3変形例では、蓋本体80は、金属材料を含んで構成される。外装フィルム50のうちの第2封止部92において蓋本体80と直接的に接合される部分は、熱融着性樹脂層53が部分的に除去され、バリア層52が露出していてもよい。
 図12は、第3変形例の別の例の蓄電デバイス10の断面図である。外装フィルム50のうちの第2封止部92において蓋本体80と直接的に接合される部分は、基材層51および熱融着性樹脂層53が除去され、バリア層52の単層であってもよい。
 <2-4.第4変形例>
 上記実施形態において、外装フィルム50の構成は、変更可能である。図13は、第4変形例の蓄電デバイス10が備える外装フィルム50Xの層構成の一例を示す断面図である。
 外装フィルム50Xは、第1バリア層510、第2バリア層520、および、絶縁層530を含むラミネートフィルムである。第1バリア層510、第2バリア層520、および、絶縁層530は、第1バリア層510と第2バリア層520とが導通しないように積層される。第4変形例では、外装体40の外側から電極体20に向けて、第1バリア層510、絶縁層530、および、第2バリア層520の順に積層される。第1バリア層510および第2バリア層520は、金属材料を含んで構成される。
 第1バリア層510は、正極と接続される蓋体60と接合される。第1バリア層510と正極と接続される蓋体60との接合強度を高める観点から、第1バリア層510を構成する材料に含まれる金属材料は、正極と接続される蓋体60を構成する材料に含まれる金属材料と同じ金属材料であることが好ましい。第2封止部92は、第1バリア層510の端部を含んで構成される。
 第2バリア層520は、負極と接続される蓋体60と接合される。第2バリア層520と負極と接続される蓋体60との接合強度を高める観点から、第2バリア層520を構成する材料に含まれる金属材料は、負極と接続される蓋体60を構成する材料に含まれる金属材料と同じ金属材料であることが好ましい。第2封止部92は、第2バリア層520の端部を含んで構成される。
 絶縁層530は、第1バリア層510と第2バリア層520とが導通しないように第1バリア層510と第2バリア層520とを絶縁する。絶縁層530を構成する材料は、第1バリア層510と第2バリア層520とを絶縁できる材料であれば任意に選択可能である。絶縁層530を構成する材料は、例えば、樹脂、エラストマー、または、セラミックである。セラミックは、例えば、ガラス、酸化物、窒化物、炭酸塩、または、水酸化物である。絶縁層530を構成する材料は、複数の材料が組み合わせられてもよい。第1バリア層510と第2バリア層520とを好適に絶縁する観点から、絶縁層530を構成する材料は、絶縁フィラーを含むことが好ましい。
 樹脂は、例えば、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィン、ポリアミド、エポキシ樹脂、アクリル樹脂、フッ素樹脂、ポリウレタン、珪素樹脂、フェノール樹脂等、フッ素樹脂、および、これらの樹脂の変性物等の熱可塑性樹脂である。水分バリア性の観点から、フッ素樹脂、および、フッ素樹脂の変性物等の熱可塑性樹脂を用いることが好ましい。
 セラミックは、例えば、酸化物または窒化物である。酸化物は、例えば、酸化マグネシウム、酸化ケイ素、酸化アルミニウム、または、酸化スズである。これらの酸化物は、水分バリア性を有する。
 窒化物は、例えば、窒化アルミニウム、窒化ホウ素、または、窒化ケイ素である。水分バリア性の観点から、窒化ケイ素を用いることが好ましい。
 炭酸塩は、例えば、炭酸マグネシウムである。水酸化物は、例えば、水酸化マグネシウムである。炭酸マグネシウムおよび水酸化マグネシウムは、水分バリア性を有する。
 外装フィルム50は、平面視において、第1バリア層510、絶縁層530、および、第2バリア層520が重なる部分である重畳部500Xを含むことが好ましい。外装フィルム50が重畳部500Xを含む場合、絶縁層530を構成する材料が水分バリア性を有さない場合であっても、第1バリア層510および第2バリア層520によって、水分バリア性が高められる。第4変形例では、重畳部500Xは、電極体20の上面および下面の概ね全体を覆うように形成される。
 第1バリア層510は、FB方向において、第2バリア層520および絶縁層530よりも正極と接続される蓋体60側まで延びている。
 第2バリア層520は、FB方向において、第1バリア層510および絶縁層530よりも負極と接続される蓋体60側まで延びている。なお、第2バリア層520と電極体20とが短絡することを抑制する観点から、第2バリア層520のうちの絶縁層530が積層される面と反対の面には、別の絶縁層が積層されることが好ましい。
 第1バリア層510と第2バリア層520とが導通することを好適に抑制する観点から、FB方向において、絶縁層530の正極と接続される蓋体60側の端部530Xは、第2バリア層520の正極と接続される蓋体60側の端部520Xよりも正極と接続される蓋体60に近い位置に存在することが好ましい。
 第1バリア層510と第2バリア層520とが導通することを好適に抑制する観点から、FB方向において、絶縁層530の負極と接続される蓋体60側の端部530Yは、第1バリア層510の負極と接続される蓋体60側の端部510Yよりも負極と接続される蓋体60Yに近い位置に存在することが好ましい。
 第変形例では、絶縁層530によって第1バリア層510と第2バリア層520とが絶縁されているため、正極と接続される蓋体60と、負極と接続される蓋体60とは、導通しない。
 <2-5.第5変形例>
 上記実施形態において、蓄電デバイス10の外装フィルム50は、FB方向において、2つの蓋体60の一方よりも外側に張り出していてもよい。外装フィルム50のうちの蓋体60よりも外側に張り出した部分が閉じられることによって、電極体20は封止される。外装フィルム50のうちの蓋体60よりも張り出した部分は、ゲーベルトップ型容器のように、外装フィルム50の外面同士が接触するように内側に折り畳まれてもよく、ブリック型容器のように、外装体40の任意の面に向けて折り畳まれてもよい。
 <2-6.第6変形例>
 上記実施形態において、外装体40は、2つの蓋体60のうちの一方を有していなくてもよい。この変形例では、FB方向において、外装体40のうちの蓋体60が省略された部分では、外装フィルム50のうちの電極体20よりも外側に張り出した部分が閉じられることによって、電極体20は封止される。外装フィルム50のうちの電極体20よりも外側に張り出した部分は、第5変形例と同様に、ゲーベルトップ型容器、または、ブリック型容器のように折り畳まれてもよい。
 <2-7.第7変形例>
 上記実施形態において、外装体40の外郭形状は、任意に変更可能である。外装体40の外郭形状は、円柱、角柱、または、立方体であってもよい。
 <2-8.第8変形例>
 上記実施形態において、電極体20は、1枚の外装フィルム50によって包まれたが、2枚以上の外装フィルム50によって包まれてもよい。

Claims (6)

  1.  電極体と、
     前記電極体を封止する外装体と、を備え、
     前記外装体は、
     前記電極体を包む外装フィルムと、
     前記外装フィルムとともに前記電極体を封止する蓋体と、を有し、
     前記外装フィルムは、金属材料を含んで構成されるバリア層を含み、
     前記蓋体は、金属材料を含んで構成される部分を含み、
     前記外装フィルムの前記バリア層と、前記蓋体の金属材料を含んで構成される部分とが、直接的に接合される
     蓄電デバイス。
  2.  前記外装フィルムのうちの前記蓋体の金属材料を含んで構成される部分と接合される部分は、前記バリア層の単層である
     請求項1に記載の蓄電デバイス。
  3.  前記外装フィルムは、前記バリア層に積層される他の層を含み、
     前記外装フィルムのうちの前記蓋体の金属材料を含んで構成される部分と接合される部分は、前記他の層から前記バリア層が部分的に露出した部分である
     請求項1に記載の蓄電デバイス。
  4.  前記蓋体は、
     被覆体と、
     前記被覆体と接合される蓋本体と、を有し、
     前記被覆体および前記蓋本体の少なくとも一方は、金属材料を含んで構成され、
     前記外装体は、前記被覆体と前記蓋本体とによって前記外装フィルムが挟まれた封止部を有し、
     前記外装フィルムの前記バリア層は、前記封止部において、前記被覆体および前記蓋本体のうちの金属材料を含んで構成される部分と直接的に接合される
     請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の蓄電デバイス。
  5.  蓄電デバイスの外装体として用いられる外装フィルムであって、
     前記外装体は、金属材料を含んで構成される蓋体を有し、
     前記外装フィルムは、
     金属材料を含んで構成されるバリア層を含み、
     前記蓋体のうちの前記金属材料を含んで構成される部分と接合される部分は、前記バリア層の単層である、または、他の層から前記バリア層が部分的に露出している
     外装フィルム。
  6.  蓄電デバイスの製造方法であって、
     前記蓄電デバイスは、
     電極体と、
     前記電極体を封止する外装体と、を備え、
     前記外装体は、
     前記電極体を包む外装フィルムと、
     前記外装フィルムとともに前記電極体を封止する蓋体と、を有し、
     前記外装フィルムは、金属材料を含んで構成されるバリア層を含み、
     前記蓋体は、金属材料を含んで構成される部分を含み、
     前記蓄電デバイスの製造方法は、
     前記外装フィルムの前記バリア層と、前記蓋体の金属材料を含んで構成される部分とを、直接的に接合する工程を含む
     蓄電デバイスの製造方法。
