Description
본 개시는 배터리 셀 및 배터리 셀 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 배터리 셀은 일차전지와 달리 충전 및 방전이 가능하여 디지털 카메라, 휴대폰, 노트북, 하이브리드 자동차, 전기자동차와 같은 다양한 분야에 적용될 수 있다.
이러한 배터리 셀은 양극이나 음극 또는 전해질을 어떤 물질로 사용하는 지에 따라 리튬이온 전지, 니켈 카드뮴 전지, 니켈 수소 전지 등으로 나뉘며, 형태적으로는 캔형 및 파우치형 배터리 셀 등으로 구분될 수 있다 캔형 배터리 셀은 각형 배터리 셀과 원통형 배터리 셀을 포함할 수 있다.
캔형 배터리 셀은 배터리 셀 케이스에 형성된 전해액 주입통로를 통해 내부에 위치하는 전극조립체 수용공간에 전해액을 주입하고 최종적으로 전해액 주입통로를 밀봉하는 공정을 통해 제조될 수 있다.
전해액 주입통로를 통해 전해액을 주입하는 과정에서 전해액이 배터리 셀의 외부로 튀는 현상이 발생할 수 있다. 또한, 전해액 주입 이후에 전해액 주입통로가 개방된 상태를 갖고 있어 전해액이 증발하는 현상이 발생할 수 있다. 이 경우, 케이스 내부에 수용된 전해액이 부족해지는 현상이 발생할 수 있다.
본 개시의 일 측면에 따르면, 배터리 셀에 전해액 주입 시 전해액 튐 현상을 방지할 수 있다.

본 개시에 따른 배터리 셀은 전극조립체가 수용되는 수용공간을 포함하는 케이스; 상기 케이스에 형성되며, 상기 수용공간으로 전해액이 주입되는 주입통로; 상기 주입통로에 탈착 가능하게 결합되는 제1 마개; 및 상기 제1 마개에 탈착 가능하게 결합되는 제2 마개;를 포함할 수 있다.

본 개시의 일 실시형태는 전해액 주입통로에 제1 마개를 탈착 가능하게 결합하고 제1 마개에 제2 마개를 탈착 가능하게 결합하여 주입통로와 외부가 접촉하는 면적을 최소화하여 전해액 튐 현상 및 전해액의 증발을 줄이고 전해액 추가보충이 용이하도록 하는 배터리 셀 및 배터리 셀 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
본 개시에서 말하는 제1, 제2 등의 표현은 서수적 관점이 아닌 기수적 관점에서 기술된 것이다.
본 개시에서 말하는 배터리 셀이란 배터리 셀의 최종 완성품 또는 그 중간단계인 배터리 셀의 중간 조립체를 모두 포함하는 용어이다. 이하에서는 본 개시에 따른 배터리 셀 및 배터리 셀 제조방법을 도면을 참조하여 구체적으로 설명한다.
도 1은 본 개시의 실시예에 의한 배터리 셀(100)의 사시도이며, 도 2는 도 1에 도시된 배터리 셀에서 제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)가 분리된 상태를 도시한 사시도이며, 도 3은 전해액 주입장치(200)로 배터리 셀에 전해액을 주입하는 것을 나타낸 개략도이다.
도 1 내지 도 3을 참조하면, 본 개시의 일 실시예에 의한 배터리 셀(100)은 이차전지로 구성될 수 있다. 본 명세서에서 배터리 셀(100)은 각형 배터리 셀(100)을 예로 들어 설명하지만, 배터리 셀(100)의 형상은 육면체 구조로 한정되는 것은 아니다.
배터리 셀(100)은 케이스(110), 주입통로(120), 제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)를 포함할 수 있다.
케이스(110)는 배터리 셀(100)의 외관을 형성할 수 있으며, 알루미늄 또는 알루미늄을 포함하는 재질로 형성될 수 있다. 다만, 케이스(110)의 재질은 이에 한정되지 않는다. 또한, 케이스(110)는 납작하고 각진 육면체의 형상을 가질 수 있다.
케이스(110)는 수용공간(111), 전극단자(112), 벤팅부(113)를 포함할 수 있다.
케이스(110)는 전극조립체가 수용되는 수용공간(111)을 포함할 수 있다. 수용공간(111)은 배터리 셀(100)의 충방전이 가능하도록 전극조립체 및 전해액이 수용되는 공간이며 케이스(110)의 내부공간에 포함될 수 있다. 케이스(110)는 수용공간(111)을 형성하는 케이스 몸체(110a)와, 케이스 몸체(110a)의 수용공간(111)을 덮는 캡 플레이트(110b)를 포함할 수 있다.
전극조립체는 복수의 전극판과 복수의 분리막을 포함할 수 있다. 전극판은 양극판과 음극판을 포함할 수 있다. 분리막은 음극판과 양극판 사이에 개재되는 절연체로 구성될 수 있다. 전극조립체는 음극판, 양극판 및 분리막이 교대로 적층된 스택(stack) 타입 또는 적층된 음극판, 양극판 및 분리막이 함께 권취된 젤리롤(jelly roll) 타입으로 구성될 수 있다. 음극판 및 양극판은 각각 포일(foil) 상에 음극 활물질 또는 양극 활물질이 코팅된 구조를 가질 수 있다. 예를 들어, 음극판은 구리 또는 니켈 재질의 포일에 흑연 등이 코팅되어 형성되고, 양극판은 알루미늄 재질의 포일에 전이 금속산화물 활물질이 코팅되어 형성될 수 있다.
전극단자(112)는 케이스(110)에 포함될 수 있다. 전극단자(112)는 케이스(110)의 캡 플레이트(110b)에 배치될 수 있다. 전극단자(112)는 양극판과 연결되는 양극단자와, 음극판과 연결되는 음극단자를 포함할 수 있다. 양극단자는 양극판에서 연장된 양극탭을 통하여 양극판과 연결되며, 음극단자는 음극판에서 연장된 음극탭을 통하여 음극판과 연결될 수 있다.
벤팅부(113)는 케이스(110)에 설치될 수 있다. 일 예로서, 벤팅부(113)는 캡 플레이트(110b)에 설치될 수 있다. 벤팅부(113)는 레이저 용접 등 용접에 의하여 케이스(110)에 고정될 수 있다. 벤팅부(113)는 케이스(110) 내부에서 발생한 가스 등을 배출시키도록 구성될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 벤팅부(113)는 가스 등에 의해 케이스(110)의 내부 압력이 상승하였을 때, 파단되도록 구성될 수 있다. 벤팅부(113)의 설치위치 및 개수는 다양한 변경이 가능하다. 예를 들어, 벤팅부(113)는 케이스 몸체(110a)에 설치되는 것도 가능하다.
주입통로(120)는 케이스(110)에 형성되며, 수용공간(111)으로 전해액이 주입되는 통로일 수 있다. 주입통로(120)는 외부와 수용공간(111)을 연결하는 구멍의 형태로 케이스(110)에 형성될 수 있다. 주입통로(120)는 케이스(110)의 캡 플레이트(110b)에 배치될 수 있으며 설치위치는 다양하게 변경이 가능하다. 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 배터리 셀에 전해액을 주입할 경우, 전해액 주입장치(200)의 전해액 주입바늘(210)을 주입통로(120)에 삽입하여 전해액을 케이스(110)의 수용공간(111)에 주입할 수 있다. 또한, 주입통로(120)의 단면은 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이 원형으로 형성될 수 있다. 주입통로(120)는 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이 케이스(110)의 외측으로 연장되는 돌출부(121)를 포함할 수 있다. 따라서, 돌출부(121)에 의해 주입통로(120)가 외부로 연장된 공간만큼 배터리 셀(100)에 전해액을 추가로 더 주입할 수 있다. 본 개시에서 도시하는 주입통로(120)의 단면과 돌출부(121)의 형태는 예시에 해당하며 그 단면과 형태는 다양하게 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 주입통로(120)의 단면은 사각형이 될 수 있으며, 돌출부(121)의 형태는 사각기둥이 되는 것도 가능하다.
제1 마개(130)는 케이스(110)의 주입통로(120)에 결합될 수 있다. 제1 마개(130)는 주입통로(120)와 중심축이 일치하도록 결합될 수 있다. 제1 마개(130)는 주입통로(120)에 탈착 가능하게 결합될 수 있다. 이에 따라 제1 마개(130)를 주입통로(120)와 결합하거나 주입통로(120)로부터 탈거하는 과정을 반복적으로 수행할 수 있다.
제2 마개(140)는 제1 마개(130)에 결합될 수 있다. 제2 마개(140)는 제1 마개(130)와 중심축이 일치하도록 결합될 수 있다. 제2 마개(140)는 제1 마개(130)와 탈착 가능하게 결합될 수 있다. 이에 따라, 제2 마개(140)를 제1 마개(130)와 결합하거나 제1 마개(130)로부터 탈거하는 과정을 반복적으로 수행할 수 있다.
제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)의 결합방식은 끼움결합 방식이 될 수 있다. 따라서, 제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)는 결합 이후 케이스(110)의 밀봉상태가 안정적으로 유지되도록 하며, 의도하지 않은 전해액의 누출이나 증발을 방지할 수 있다. 동시에 제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)는 필요시 탈거가 가능하다. 다만, 제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)의 결합방식은 끼움결합에 한정되지 않는다. 케이스(110)의 밀봉상태가 안정적으로 유지되고 의도하지 않은 전해액의 누출이나 증발을 방지할 수 있도록 하며, 필요시 탈거가 가능하도록 하는 결합방식은 모두 가능하다. 예를 들어, 결합방식은 나사결합 방식이 이용되는 것도 가능하다.
제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)의 재료는 금속, 고무, 플라스틱 등의 다양한 재질로 이루어질 수 있다. 또한, 결합상태를 안정적으로 유지하기 위해 제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)의 표면에 고무나 실리콘 등의 마찰부재를 추가적으로 부착할 수 있다.
도 4는 도 2의 I-I'선에 따른 제1 마개(130), 제2 마개(140) 부분의 단면사시도이며, 도 5는 도 4에서 제1 마개(130) 및 제2 마개(140)가 주입통로에 결합된 상태의 단면도이다.
도 4 및 도 5를 참조하면, 제1 마개(130)는 제1 부분(131), 제2 부분(132), 전해액 주입구멍(133), 돌출부 수용부(134), 마개 머리(135)를 포함할 수 있다.
제1 부분(131)은 주입통로(120)의 길이방향(전해액 주입방향)과 수직하게 배치될 수 있다. 제1 부분(131)은 주입통로(120)의 내부로 배치될 수 있다. 제1 부분(131)이 주입통로(120) 내부로 들어간 깊이는 전해액 주입바늘(도 3의 210)의 길이, 돌출부(121)의 길이, 전해액의 주입량 등을 고려하여 필요에 따라 다양하게 형성될 수 있다. 제1 부분(131)은 주입통로(120)와 같은 원형일 수 있다. 제1 부분(131)의 직경은 제1 마개(130)와 주입통로(120)가 끼움결합이 가능하도록 주입통로(120)의 직경과 같거나 클 수 있다.
제2 부분(132)은 제1 부분(131)의 테두리에 연결되며 주입통로(120)의 길이방향과 나란하게 배치될 수 있다. 제2 부분(132) 중 적어도 일부는 주입통로(120) 내부에 배치될 수 있다. 제2 부분(132)의 일단에는 제1 부분(131)이 배치될 수 있다. 제2 부분(132)의 길이는 전해액 주입바늘(210)의 길이, 돌출부(121)의 길이, 전해액의 주입량 등을 고려하여 필요에 따라 다르게 형성될 수 있다.
전해액 주입구멍(133)은 제1 마개(130)가 주입통로(120)에 결합된 상태로 전해액을 주입할 때 이용될 수 있다. 배터리 셀(100)에 전해액을 주입하는 경우 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 전해액 주입장치(200)의 전해액 주입바늘(210)은 주입통로(120)에 결합된 제1 마개(130)의 주입구멍을 관통하여 케이스(110)의 수용공간(111)에 전해액을 주입할 수 있다. 제1 부분(131)은 수용공간(111)과 연결되는 전해액 주입구멍(133)을 포함할 수 있다. 전해액 주입구멍(133)은 제1 부분(131)에 배치될 수 있다. 전해액 주입구멍(133)의 직경은 주입통로(120)의 직경 보다 작을 수 있다. 구체적으로 전해액 주입구멍(133)의 직경은 제1 부분(131)의 직경보다 작을 수 있다. 따라서, 제1 마개(130)가 주입통로(120)에 결합된 상태에서는 외부로 드러난 주입통로(120)의 면적이 줄어들게 되어 전해액 증발을 최소화할 수 있다. 또한, 제1 마개(130)가 결합된 상태에서 전해액 주입이 가능하며, 전해액 주입시 전해액이 배터리 셀(100)의 구성 일부와 부딪혀 외부로 튀는 전해액 튐 현상을 줄일 수 있다.
돌출부 수용부(134)는 주입통로(120)의 돌출부(121)를 수용하도록 제1 마개(130)에 형성된 홈일 수 있다. 돌출부 수용부(134)는 제2 부분(132)의 외측으로 형성될 수 있다. 돌출부 수용부(134)는 돌출부(121)의 일부 또는 전부를 수용할 수 있다. 도 5의 도시된 돌출부 수용부(134)는 돌출부(121)의 전부를 수용하는 경우를 나타낸 것이다.
제1 마개(130)는 제2 마개(140)와 결합되는 마개 머리(135)를 포함할 수 있다. 마개 머리(135)는 제1 마개(130) 상부에서 제2 부분(132)에 연결될 수. 마개 머리(135)와 제2 부분(132) 사이에는 돌출부 수용부(134)가 형성될 수 있다. 돌출부 수용부(134)가 돌출부(121)의 전부를 수용할 경우, 마개 머리(135)의 일단면은 케이스(110)의 일 표면과 일치하도록 접할 수 있다.
제2 마개(140)는 제1 마개(130)의 마개 머리(135)를 수용하도록 마개 머리 수용부(141)를 포함할 수 있다. 마개 머리(135)의 단면과 마개 머리 수용부(141)의 단면은 원형일 수 있다. 마개 머리(135)의 직경은 제1 마개(130)와 제2 마개(140)가 끼움결합이 가능하도록 마개 머리 수용부(141)의 직경보다 크거나 같을 수 있다. 제2 마개(140)가 제1 마개(130)와 결합하게 되면 주입통로(120)는 외부와 차단되어 밀봉성을 유지할 수 있다.
도 6은 배터리 셀(100a)의 최종제품 형태 중 일 예를 도시한 단면도이다.
도 6을 참조하면, 배터리 셀(100a)의 최종제품에는 전해액 추가 주입이 필요 없는 경우 더 이상 제1 마개(130), 제2 마개(140) 및 돌출부(121) 구성이 필요 없을 수 있다. 이 경우, 최종 제품의 배터리 셀(100a)은 제1 마개(130), 제2 마개(140) 및 돌출부(121) 구성을 제거한 후, 제거된 자리에 제2 플레이트(122)를 덮거나 제거된 자리를 용접하여 주입통로(120)를 밀봉하는 형태가 될 수 있다. 제2 플레이트(122)를 구성하는 재료는 금속, 고무, 플라스틱 등 수용공간(111)을 외부와 차단할 수 있도록 밀봉할 수 있는 모든 재료가 가능하다. 제2 플레이트(122)로 주입통로(120)를 밀봉하는 방식은 용접 또는 접착방식이 될 수 있다.
도 7은 제1 플레이트(136)가 결합된 제1 마개(130a)를 나타낸 단면도이다.
배터리 셀(100)은 전해액 주입구멍(133)을 밀봉하는 제1 플레이트(136)를 더 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제1 마개(130a)는 제1 플레이트(136)를 더 포함할 수 있다. 제1 플레이트(136)는 제1 마개(130a)가 주입통로(120)에 결합된 상태에서 밀봉성을 더 향상시키기 위한 부재이다. 제1 플레이트(136)는 전해액 주입구멍(133)을 막도록 제1 부분(131)에 결합될 수 있다. 제1 플레이트(136)는 제1 부분(131)에 접착될 수 있으나, 제1 플레이트(136)의 결합방식은 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 제1 플레이트(136)의 재질은 고무나 실리콘 등을 포함할 수 있다. 따라서, 전해액 주입 시 전해액 주입바늘(도 3의 210)이 제1 플레이트(136)를 용이하게 관통하여 주입통로에 삽입될 수 있으며, 주입바늘(210)이 배출된 이후 제1 플레이트(136)가 변형되어 주입바늘(210)이 관통된 구멍이 다시 좁혀질 수 있다.
도 8은 절연덮개(150)가 결합된 배터리 셀(100b)의 단면도이다.
배터리 셀(100b)은 케이스(110)의 외면에 탈착 가능하게 결합되는 절연 덮개(150)를 더 포함하며, 절연 덮개(150)는 돌출부(121)가 배치되는 개구를 포함할 수 있다. 절연덮개(150)는 배터리 셀(100)의 상부를 외부로부터 전기적으로 차단하기 위한 부재일 수 있다. 절연덮개(150)는 캡 플레이트(110b)를 덮는 형상을 가질 수 있다. 절연덮개(150)의 소재는 절연성 재질을 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 절연덮개(150)는 폴리염화비닐, 합성고무, 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌 등 합성수지계가 사용될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 개구는 돌출부가 관통되도록 형성된 구멍일 수 있다. 절연덮개(150)는 전극단자(112), 벤팅부(113) 및 제1,2 마개(130,140)가 외부로 노출되도록 구멍을 포함할 수 있다.
도 9는 제1 마개(130b)의 변형예를 도시한 단면도이다.
제1 마개(130b)의 제1 부분(131)은 수용공간(111) 내부방향으로 오목하게 들어간 형태로 형성될 수 있다. 오목한 형태의 제1 부분(131)은 전해액 주입바늘(210)이 전해액 주입구멍(133)을 용이하게 관통하도록 안내하는 가이드 역할을 수행할 수 있고, 제1 마개(130b) 내부에 남아있는 전해액이 수용공간(111) 흘러 들어가게 할 수 있다. 본 개시에서 제시한 제1 부분(131)의 형상은 예시에 불과하며 다양한 형상이 가능하다. 예를 들어, 제1 부분(131)은 수용공간(111) 방향으로 갈수록 좁아지는 원뿔(Cone) 형상일 수 있다.
도 10은 제1 마개(130c)의 다른 변형예를 도시한 단면도이다.
제1 마개(130c)의 제2 부분(132)은 수용공간(111) 내부로 연장될 수 있다. 제2 부분은(132)은 케이스(110)에 끼움결합될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제1 마개(130c)는 제2 부분(132)의 일단에는 걸림부(137)가 형성되어 주입통로(120)에 끼움결합 될 수 있다. 제1 부분(131)은 제2 부분(132)의 내부에 배치되도록 형성될 수 있다. 도 10에 도시된 제1 마개(130c)를의 다른 변형예에 의하면, 제2 부분(132)이 돌출부(121)의 역할을 대신하므로 주입통로(120)는 돌출부(121)를 구비하지 않을 수 있다.
도 11 내지 도 13은 본 개시의 실시예에 의한 배터리 셀의 제조방법을 도시한 플로우 차트이다.
도 11을 도 1 내지 도 3과 함께 참조하면, 배터리 셀 제조방법(S100)은 케이스 준비 단계(S110), 전극조립체 수용 단계(S120), 제1 마개 결합 단계(S130), 전해액 주입 단계(S140), 제2 마개 결합 단계(S150)를 포함할 수 있다.
케이스 준비 단계(S110)는 전극조립체가 수용되는 케이스(110)를 준비하는 단계일 수 있다. 케이스(110)는 전극조립체가 수용되는 수용공간(111)과, 수용공간(111)으로 전해액이 주입되는 주입통로(120)를 포함할 수 있다.
전극조립체 수용 단계(S120)는 수용공간(111)에 준비된 전극조립체를 수용할 수 있다.
제1 마개 결합 단계(S130)는 케이스(110)에 형성된 주입통로(120)에 제1 마개(130)를 결합할 수 있다. 제1 마개(130)를 주입통로(120)에 결합하는 방식은 탈착 가능한 결합 방식이며, 결합 방식은 다양할 수 있다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따르면 끼움결합이나 나사결합 방식으로 결합시킬 수 있다. 결합하는 방식은 작업자에 의한 수동형식이 될 수도 있고, 배터리 셀(100) 제조장치에 의할 수도 있다.
전해액 주입 단계(S140)는 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 전해액 주입장치(200)를 이용하여 제1 마개(130)의 형성된 전해액 주입구멍(133)으로 전해액을 주입하는 단계일 수 있다. 전해액 주입장치(200)의 일 구성인 전해액 주입바늘(210)을 전해액 주입구멍(133) 내부로 삽입시키고, 전해액 주입바늘(210)을 통해 전해액을 주입하게 된다. 이때, 전해액 주입바늘(210)이 수용공간(111) 내부에 전극조립체를 건드리지 않도록 할 수 있다.
제2 마개 결합 단계(S150)는 제1 마개(130)에 제2 마개(140)를 결합하는 단계일 수 있다. 이때, 제1 마개(130)는 주입통로(120)에 결합된 상태이다. 제2 마개(140)의 결합방식은 탈착 가능한 결합 방식이며, 제1 마개(130)의 결합방식과 동일하거나 다를 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제2 마개(140)의 결합방식은 끼움결합이 될 수 있고, 나사결합도 될 수 있다.
배터리 셀 제조방법(S100a)에는 도 12에 도시된 바와 같이, 마개 제거 단계(S200) 및 주입통로 밀봉 단계(S300)를 더 포함할 수 있다.
마개 제거 단계(S200)는 제1 마개(130)와 제2 마개(140)를 제거하는 단계일 수 있다. 제1,2 마개(130, 140)를 제거하는 방법은 커팅 방식이 될 수 있으며, 이는 예시일 뿐 그 제거방식은 다양할 수 있다. 마개 제거 단계(S200)는 돌출부(121)를 제거하는 공정을 포함할 수 있다. 돌출부(121)는 주입통로(120)를 케이스(110)의 외측으로 연장되도록 형성된 것이다. 따라서, 마개 제거 단계(S200) 이후 케이스(110)에는 돌출부(121)가 남아 있거나 안 남아 있을 수 있다.
주입통로 밀봉 단계(S300)는 돌출부(121)가 제거된 주입통로를 밀봉하는 공정을 포함할 수 있다. 제1,2 마개(130, 140)가 제거된 후 남아있는 주입통로(120)를 밀봉하는 단계일 수 있다. 돌출부(121)가 제거된 경우에는 돌출부(121)가 제거된 후 남아있는 주입통로(120)를 밀봉하는 단계일 수 있다. 이때, 주입통로 밀봉 단계(S300)는 주입통로(120)를 용접으로 밀봉하거나 또는 주입통로(120)를 제2 플레이트(122)로 덮어 밀봉하는 단계일 수 있다. 도 6에 도시된 바와 같이, 제2 플레이트(122)는 케이스의 외면에서 주입통로 상부를 덮는 구성이다. 제2 플레이트(122)의 재료는 금속, 고무, 플라스틱 등 수용공간(111)을 외부와 차단할 수 있도록 밀봉할 수 있는 모든 재료가 가능하다. 제2 플레이트(122)의 밀봉 방식은 용접 또는 접착 방식이 될 수 있다. 그러나, 이는 예시일 뿐 제2 플레이트(122)의 밀봉 방식은 다양할 수 있다.
배터리 셀 제조방법(S100b)에는 도 13에 도시된 바와 같이, 제2 마개 탈거 단계(S160), 디개싱 단계(S170) 및 전해액 보충 단계(S180)를 더 포함할 수 있다.
제2 마개 탈거 단계(S160)는 제2 마개(140)를 제1 마개(130)로부터 탈거하는 단계일 수 있다. 제2 마개(140)가 탈거된 상태에서 제1 마개(130)는 주입통로(120)에 결합되어 있는 상태일 수 있다.
제2 마개 탈거 단계(S160) 이후에는 필요에 따라 디개싱 단계(S170) 또는 전해액 보충 단계(S180)를 수행할 수 있다.
디개싱 단계(S170)는 전해액 주입구멍(133)을 통해 수용공간(111) 내에 발생한 가스를 디개싱하는 단계일 수 있다. 배터리 셀(100)의 제조과정에서 배터리 셀(100)을 충방전하고 안정화하는 공정을 거치며, 이 때 배터리 셀(100) 내부 수용공간에는 가스가 발생하여 이를 제거할 필요성이 있을 수 있다. 디개싱 단계(S170) 이후에는 추가적으로 전해액 보충 단계(S180)를 수행할 수 있다.
전해액 보충 단계(S180)는 전해액 주입구멍(133)을 통해 전해액을 추가 주입하는 단계일 수 있다. 전해액 주입장치(200)의 주입바늘(210)이 외부로 드러난 제1 마개(130)의 주입구멍(133)에 삽입되어 전해액을 주입할 수 있다. 전해액의 보충량은 전해액이 증발된량 또는 부족량에 따라 달라질 수 있다.
디개싱 단계(S170) 또는 전해액 보충 단계(S180) 이후에는 마개 제거 단계(S200) 및 주입통로 밀봉 단계(S300)를 더 수행할 수 있다.
이상에서 본 개시의 실시예에 대하여 상세하게 설명하였지만 본 개시의 권리범위는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니고, 청구범위에 기재된 본 개시의 기술적 사상을 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 다양한 수정 및 변형이 가능하다는 것은 당 기술분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게는 자명할 것이다.
예를 들어, 전술한 실시예에서 일부의 구성요소를 삭제하여 실시될 수 있고, 각 실시예들은 서로 조합되어 실시될 수도 있다.

Claims (17)
- 전극조립체가 수용되는 수용공간을 포함하는 케이스;상기 케이스에 형성되며, 상기 수용공간으로 전해액이 주입되는 주입통로;상기 주입통로에 탈착 가능하게 결합되는 제1 마개; 및상기 제1 마개에 탈착 가능하게 결합되는 제2 마개;를 포함하는 배터리 셀.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 마개는, 상기 주입통로의 길이방향에 수직으로 배치되는 제1 부분과, 상기 주입통로의 길이방향과 나란히 배치되는 제2 부분을 포함하고,상기 제1 부분은 상기 수용공간과 연결되는 전해액 주입구멍을 포함하는 배터리 셀.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 주입통로는 상기 케이스의 외측으로 연장되는 돌출부를 포함하는 배터리 셀.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 제1 부분은 상기 주입통로의 내부로 배치되는 배터리 셀.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 전해액 주입구멍의 직경은 상기 주입통로의 직경 보다 작은 배터리 셀.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 전해액 주입구멍을 밀봉하는 제1 플레이트를 더 포함하는 배터리 셀.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 케이스의 외면에 탈착 가능하게 결합되는 절연 덮개를 더 포함하며,상기 절연 덮개는 상기 돌출부가 배치되는 개구를 포함하는 배터리 셀.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 제2 부분은 상기 수용공간의 내부로 연장되며, 상기 제1 부분은 상기 제2 부분의 내부에 배치되도록 형성되는 배터리 셀.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 제2 부분은 상기 케이스에 끼움결합되는 배터리 셀.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 제1 부분은 상기 수용공간의 내부 방향으로 오목하게 들어간 형태로 형성된 배터리 셀.
- 전극조립체가 수용되는 수용공간과, 상기 수용공간으로 전해액이 주입되는 주입통로를 포함하는 케이스를 준비하는 케이스 준비 단계;상기 수용공간에 상기 전극조립체를 수용하는 전극조립체 수용 단계;상기 주입통로에 제1 마개를 결합하는 제1 마개 결합 단계;상기 제1 마개에 형성된 전해액 주입구멍으로 전해액을 주입하는 전해액 주입 단계; 및상기 제1 마개에 제2 마개를 결합하는 제2 마개 결합 단계;를 포함하는 배터리 셀 제조방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 제1 마개로부터 상기 제2 마개를 탈거하는 제2 마개 탈거 단계; 및상기 전해액 주입구멍을 통해 전해액을 추가 주입하는 전해액 보충 단계;를 더 포함하는 배터리 셀 제조방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 제2 마개를 탈거하는 제2 마개 탈거 단계; 및상기 전해액 주입구멍을 통해 디개싱하는 디개싱 단계;를 더 포함하는 배터리 셀 제조방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 제1 마개와 상기 제2 마개를 제거하는 마개 제거 단계; 및상기 주입통로를 밀봉하는 주입통로 밀봉 단계;를 더 포함하는 배터리 셀 제조방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 주입통로는 상기 케이스의 외측으로 연장되는 돌출부를 포함하며,상기 마개 제거 단계는 상기 돌출부를 제거하는 공정을 포함하고,상기 주입통로 밀봉 단계는 상기 돌출부가 제거된 상기 주입통로를 밀봉하는 공정을 포함하는 배터리 셀 제조방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 주입통로 밀봉 단계는 상기 주입통로를 용접으로 밀봉하는 배터리 셀 제조방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 주입통로 밀봉 단계는 상기 주입통로를 제2 플레이트로 덮어 밀봉하는 배터리 셀 제조방법.
