Abstract

Provided is a pet toy with which a pet can play for a long time without losing interest. The pet toy is characterized by comprising: a rod 3 that constitutes a rod part; a string-like line 4 that is connected to the tip of the rod part 3; a detachment-resistant part 5 that is detachably connected to the tip of the line 4 and is separated by a tension force equal to or greater than a prescribed level; and a toy part 7 that detaches from the tip of the line 4 due to the detachment of the detachment-resistant part 5. The detachment-resistant part 5 comprises, for example, a pair of magnetic bodies or metal and magnetic bodies that are positioned in separation bodies that separate, and the separation bodies can be configured to be able to separate due to the magnetic force of the magnetic bodies.

Description

Pet Toys

The present invention relates to a cat teaser-type pet toy that entertains pets such as cats.

　Conventional cat teasers are toys designed to be easy for people to play with. They generally have a feather or fur ball toy suspended from a string or rubber band at the end of a pole, like a fishing rod, and cats can chase or catch the toy by dangling it from the string or moving it with a stick. This is said to have the effect of increasing the amount of exercise a cat gets and relieving stress (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

However, the conventional cat teasers mentioned above have the problem that cats easily become bored with them. For example, with fishing rod-type toys, the toy is moved with a string or stick, but because its movement is limited to the area attached to the string or stick, cats quickly become bored and lose interest. Also, because the shape and material of the cat teaser are monotonous, cats are unable to play with them for long periods of time and often become bored after a short time.

The present invention was made to solve the above problems, and aims to provide a new pet toy that satisfies a pet's natural hunting instinct by providing a simulated experience of catching a toy, relieves stress, and allows a pet to play for long periods of time without getting bored.

In order to solve the above problems, the pet toy of the present invention is characterized by having a rod-shaped fishing rod part, a string-like line connected to the end of the fishing rod part, a detachment resistance part that is detachably connected to the end of the line and that separates when tension exceeds a certain level, and a toy part that can be detached from the end of the line by separation of the detachment resistance part.

In the above invention, it is preferable that the detachment resistance portion has a pair of magnetic bodies, or a metal and a magnetic body, arranged on each of the separated bodies to be separated, and the separated bodies are connected so as to be able to be attached and detached by the magnetic force of the magnetic bodies.

In the above invention, the detachment resistance portion has a convex portion formed on one of the separated bodies to be separated, and a concave portion formed on the other of the separated bodies and releasably fitted into part or all of the convex portion, and it is preferable that the separated bodies are releasably connected by the frictional force between the convex portion and the concave portion, or the elastic force of either or both of the convex portion and the concave portion.

In the above invention, it is preferable that the detachment resistance portion has a ring-shaped portion formed on one side of the separated body to be separated, and a hook portion formed on the other side of the separated body, hooked onto the ring-shaped portion, holding the ring-shaped portion by elastic force, and detaching the ring-shaped portion by deformation against the elastic force.

In the above invention, it is preferable that the detachment resistance portion is formed on one of the separated bodies to be separated, and has a clamping portion that clamps the other separated body by elastic force and detaches the other separated body by deformation against the elastic force.

As described above, in the pet toy of the present invention, the string-like line that suspends the toy part is provided with a detachment resistance part that separates when tension exceeds a certain level, so that when the pet pulls on the toy part with a force above a certain level, the toy part detaches from the end of the line.

In more detail, by providing a detachment resistance section that detaches when a certain amount of tension is applied, when a pet such as a cat grabs the toy section and pulls it to a certain extent, the toy section will detach from the line. This gives the pet the sensation of having snatched away prey that was resisting escape, which can excite the pet. In addition, because the toy section detaches when a certain amount of tension is applied, even if the pet pulls or bites the toy too hard when using it, the rod will not break or the line will not snap, preventing the pet from being injured by sudden breakage and allowing the pet to play safely.

As a result, the pet toy of the present invention, unlike conventional toys, excites pets and satisfies their natural hunting instincts by providing a simulated experience of catching a toy, allowing pets to relieve stress and keep playing for long periods of time without getting bored, helping to maintain the pet's health and relieve stress, while also increasing opportunities for enjoyable communication between owners and pets.

(Basic configuration of pet toys)
Hereinafter, an embodiment of a pet toy according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 shows the basic structure of a pet toy according to the general embodiment. Note that the embodiment shown below is merely an example of an apparatus for embodying the technical idea of the present invention, and the technical idea of the present invention does not specify the material, shape, structure, arrangement, etc. of each component part to those described below. The technical idea of the present invention may be modified in various ways within the scope of the claims.

As shown in FIG. 1, the pet toy according to this embodiment is a so-called cat teaser type toy based on a fishing rod, and is configured by connecting a toy part 7 made of a bird feather or the like to the end of a line 4 tied to the end of a rod part 3 of the rod part.

The toy section 7 can be made of a variety of materials. For example, in addition to bird feathers, there are also ones made of fluttering materials such as cellophane or tape, ones with fur, bells or beads attached, ones that resemble small animals such as mice or birds, and other items designed to attract the interest of cats.

The pole section is roughly composed of a rod section 3 that is flexible and elastic, and a grip 2 that is connected to the base of the rod section 3. This rod section 3 can be made of plastic, wood, or metal, and the grip 2 can also be made of resins such as plastic or rubber, as well as wood or metal.

The toy part 7 is connected to the tip of the rod part 3 of the pole part via a line 4. This line 4 can be made of various materials, such as thread, fishing line, polypropylene PP string, hemp string, ribbon, nylon, metal string, etc.

In particular, the leader 6 at the end of the line 4 is separated just before the toy section 7, and this leader 6 is connected so as to be able to be attached and detached via a detachment resistance section 5. The toy section 7 is connected to the end of this leader 6 via a connection section 7a.

The detachment resistance portion 5 is a member that is releasably connected to the end of the line 4 and separated when tension equal to or exceeds a certain level is applied, and various configurations are possible for making it releasable. An embodiment of the detachment resistance portion 5 is described below.

First Embodiment

Second Embodiment
The detachment resistance part 5 according to this embodiment has a convex part 54b formed on one separated separated body 51 and a concave part 54a formed on the other separated body 52. The concave part 54a is a member that is fitted into a part or all of the convex part 54b so as to be able to come into contact with or be separated from the other separated body 52. The

Third Embodiment
The detachment resistance part 5 according to this embodiment has a ring part 56 formed as one of the separated parts to be separated, and a hook part 55 formed as the other separated part 51. The ring part 56 is a ring-shaped member formed by plastic molding or by tying a member on a string, and the toy part 7 is connected to this ring part 56 via a leader 6.

The hook portion 55 has a C-shaped member 55d that is roughly C-shaped with a portion of the annular member open, and an opening/closing portion 55b that is hooked onto the annular portion 56 and closed by the elastic force of the elastic body 55a. The C-shaped member 55d has the elastic body 55a at one end, and a holding portion 55c at the other end that holds the opening/closing portion 55b in the closed state. The elastic body 55a is a member that is deformed from a closed state to an open state by rotating or widening due to the elastic force of rubber or a spring. The holding portion 55c is in the closed state by means of hooking, gripping, or magnetically attracting the opening/closing portion 55b, and is pulled by a force of a certain level or more to release its hold on the opening/closing portion 55b and open it.

As shown in FIG. 4(a), when the opening/closing part 55b is in a closed state, the opening/closing part 55b is hooked onto the other separate part, the annular part 56, to maintain the closed state, thereby connecting the annular part 56 and the hook part 55. When the toy part 7 is pulled by the pet, a force acts on the opening/closing part 55b from the annular part 56 against the elastic force of the elastic body 55a, so that the elastic body 55a deforms, the opening/closing part rotates or expands, the hook part 55 is released, and the annular part 56 detaches from the hook part 55, as shown in FIG. 4(b).

Fourth Embodiment
The detachment resistance part 5 according to this embodiment has a clamping part 57 formed as one of the separated bodies to be separated. This clamping part 57 is a C-shaped member with a part of the annular member opened to form a substantially C-shape, and can be made of a material such as a resin such as plastic, a metal, or wood. 57a and 57b apart. As a result, the C-shaped member of the clamping part 57 deforms, widens and opens up, and the annular part 56 detaches from the clamping part 57, as shown in FIG. 5(b).

In this embodiment, the clamping portion is configured as a C-shaped member, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, like a clothespin or clip, it may be configured to clamp another separating body using the elastic force of a spring or metal member and release when a certain tension is applied.

(Action and Effects)
As described above, according to the pet toy 1 of the present invention, the string-like line 4 suspending the toy part 7 is provided with a detachment resistance part 5 which is separated when a certain amount of tension is applied, so that when the pet 8 pulls the toy part 7 with a force greater than a certain amount, the toy part 7 will detach from the end of the line 4.

More specifically, as shown in FIG. 6(a), when the pet 8 applies or catches the toy part 7 and pulls it, a certain amount of tension is applied to the line 4. When this tension exceeds a certain amount, the detachment resistance part 5 is separated as shown in FIG. 6(b). As a result, when the pet 8, such as a cat, grabs the toy part 7 and pulls it to a certain extent, the toy part 7 is detached from the line 4. This gives the pet 8 the sensation of having snatched away prey that was resisting escape, and excites the pet 8. In addition, because the toy part 7 is detached when a certain amount of tension is applied, even if the pet 8 pulls or bites the toy hard when using it, the rod part 3 of the pole part will not break and the line 4 will not break, and it is possible to prevent the pet 8 from being injured by sudden breakage and to allow the pet 8 to play safely.

As a result, the pet 8 of the present invention differs from conventional pets in that it satisfies the pet 8's innate hunting instinct through the simulated experience of catching a toy, making the pet 8 excited and relieving stress, allowing the pet 8 to play for long periods of time without getting bored, helping to maintain the pet 8's health and relieve stress, and increasing opportunities for enjoyable communication between the owner and the pet 8.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments as they are, and in the implementation stage, the components can be modified to the extent that the gist of the invention is not deviated from. In addition, various inventions can be created by appropriately combining multiple components disclosed in the above-described embodiments. For example, some components may be deleted from all of the components shown in the embodiments.

A rod-shaped pole portion;
