- the nozzle 2 further has a cylindrical inner tube portion 27 that protrudes from the end portion (more specifically, the upper end portion) of the inner peripheral surface 244 of the inclined tube portion 24 toward the base end side (more specifically, the upper side).
- the inner tube portion 27 extends along the intermediate tube portion 25, and a gap S1 is formed between the inner tube portion 27 and the intermediate tube portion 25.
- the inner peripheral surface of the inner tube portion 27 is provided with a plurality of bulges 270 that protrude radially inward.
- the multiple bulges 270 are positioned at intervals in the circumferential direction of the inner tube portion 27.
- each of the three bulges 270 is a plate-like arc that protrudes radially outward.
- the three bulges 270 form the holding portion 22 that holds the spherical valve 3.
- a recess 271 that opens radially inward is formed between two circumferentially adjacent bulges 270.
- three recesses 271 are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the inner tube portion 27.
- a groove 5 is formed on the bottom surface of one of the three recesses 271 and on the inner peripheral surface 244 of the inclined tube portion 24.
- the groove 5 is formed from the upper end of the bottom surface of the recess 271 to the lower end of the inner peripheral surface 244.
- the groove 5 is formed on the abutment surface 21 that constitutes the lower end of the inner peripheral surface 244 of the inclined tube portion 24.
- One longitudinal end (specifically, the lower end) of the groove 5 is connected to a circumferential part of the large diameter portion 241 of the communication port 240 of the inclined tube portion 24.
- the other longitudinal end (specifically, the upper end) of the groove 5 is located closer to the container body 4 than the spherical valve 3 and opens toward the container body 4.
- only one groove 5 is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the inner tube portion 27 and the inner peripheral surface 244 of the inclined tube portion 24.
- only one groove 5 is provided on the abutment surface 21.
- the groove 5 is formed, for example, by performing a process to cut out a part of the inner peripheral surface of the inner tube portion 27 and a part of the inner peripheral surface 244 of the inclined tube portion 24.
- the groove 5 may be molded when the nozzle 2 is molded from resin.
- the groove 5 extends linearly when viewed from the center of the spherical valve 3.
- the groove 5 has a constant circumferential position from one end to the other end in the longitudinal direction (i.e., from the upper end to the lower end).
- the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5, i.e., the cross-sectional area of the groove 5 in an imaginary plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is, for example, 0.087 to 0.28 mm2 from one end to the other end in the longitudinal direction (i.e., from the upper end to the lower end).
- the liquid L1 has a viscosity of 50 to 3000 mPa ⁇ s and is a liquid containing ascorbic acid.
- the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 is 0.087 to 0.28 mm2 .
- the user removes the cap from the liquid container 1 and holds the container body 4 with the fingers so that the discharge port 20 faces vertically downward as shown in FIG. 2.
- the viscosity of the liquid L1 and the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 are within the above ranges, the liquid L1 does not drip from the discharge port 20 due to its own weight even if the discharge port 20 faces vertically downward.
- the force applied by the user is, for example, 2.6 to 15.0 N.
- the liquid L1 in the container body 4 drips from the discharge port 20 through the gaps between the four recesses 271 and the spherical valve 3, the gap between the inner circumferential surface 244 of the inclined tube portion 24 and the spherical valve 3, the gap between the abutment surface 21 and the spherical valve 3 (i.e., the groove 5), and the discharge flow path 28 (more specifically, the communication port 240 and the internal space 230).
- the amount of liquid L1 dripped is, for example, 0.03 to 0.30 ml.
- the user repeatedly presses the container body 4 according to the amount of liquid L1 required.
- the viscosity of the liquid L1 is less than 50 mPa ⁇ s, when the discharge port 20 is pointed downward, the liquid L1 passes through the groove 5 with a flow path cross-sectional area in the above range due to its own weight, and drips from the discharge port 20. Also, if the viscosity of the liquid L1 is higher than 3000 mPa ⁇ s, it is difficult to drip a predetermined amount of liquid L1 from the discharge port 20 even if the container body 4 is pressed with a force of 2.6 to 15.0 N.
- a groove 5 is provided in a portion of the inner circumferential surface of the nozzle 2 where the spherical valve 3 abuts and seals (i.e., the abutment surface 21).
- the spherical valve 3 abuts and seals (i.e., the abutment surface 21).
- the viscosity of the liquid L1 is 50 to 3000 mPa ⁇ s, and the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 is 0.087 to 0.28 mm2. Therefore, in the liquid container 1 of this embodiment, if a user presses the container body 4 with a normal squeeze force (for example, 2.6 to 15.0 N), a predetermined amount of the liquid L1 can be dripped from the discharge port 20.
- a normal squeeze force is a force that a general user can apply without strain.
- the liquid L1 can be prevented from dripping from the discharge port 20 due to its own weight, so that a fixed amount of the liquid L1 can be easily dripped from the discharge port 20.
- the liquid agent L1 is a liquid containing ascorbic acid which is prone to crystallization
- the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 is 0.087 to 0.28 mm2 , so that the groove 5 is not easily clogged and it is easy to drip a fixed amount of the liquid agent L1 from the discharge port 20.
- only one groove 5 is formed on the contact surface 21 of the inner circumferential surface of the nozzle 2, so the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 can be made larger than when multiple grooves 5 are formed, and the groove 5 is less likely to become clogged.
- the groove 5 is provided linearly on the inner peripheral surface of the nozzle 2 when viewed from the center of the spherical valve 3, so the liquid L1 easily passes through the groove 5 and the groove 5 is less likely to become clogged.
- the spherical valve 3 can be held from three sides by the holding portion 22 consisting of three bulges 270, making it easier to maintain the state in which the spherical valve 3 abuts against the abutment surface 21, and the spherical valve 3 is less likely to come off.
- the groove 5 is formed not only on the contact surface 21, but also on the inner circumferential surface of the nozzle 2, in a portion upstream of the contact surface 21 and a portion downstream of the contact surface 21, and one end of the groove 5 is connected to the communication port 240. Therefore, in the liquid container 1 of this embodiment, the liquid L1 upstream of the spherical valve 3 can be easily sent along the groove 5 to the discharge port 20.
- the groove 5 is connected to the discharge flow path 28 (more specifically, the communication port 240 and the internal space 230) which has a larger flow path cross-sectional area than the groove 5, so that the liquid L1 that passes through the groove 5 flows smoothly through the discharge flow path 28 and is easily dripped from the discharge port 20.
- Tables 1 to 3 below show experimental results summarizing the viscosity of the liquid L1 filled in the liquid container 1, the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 of the liquid container 1, the squeeze force required to drip one drop of the liquid L1 from the discharge port 20 of the liquid container 1, and the dripping from the downward discharge port 20 for a predetermined time (e.g., 5 seconds) when the liquid container 1 is held by hand without applying force.
- dripping is indicated as ⁇ when the liquid L1 falls from the discharge port 20 due to its own weight, and ⁇ when 50% or more of a drop of the liquid L1 comes out of the discharge port 20. ⁇ when less than 50% of a drop of the liquid L1 comes out of the discharge port 20, and ⁇ when no dripping at all.
- Table 1 below shows the experimental results of liquid containers 1 A1 to A7, which have a constant flow path cross-sectional area of 0.07 mm2 and different viscosities of the liquid L1.
- Table 2 shows the experimental results of liquid containers 1 B1 to B7, which have a constant flow path cross-sectional area of 0.087 mm2 and different viscosities of the liquid L1.
- Table 3 shows the experimental results of liquid containers 1 C1 to C4, which have a constant flow path cross-sectional area of 68 mPa s and different viscosities of the liquid L1.
- the liquid agent L1 is a liquid containing ascorbic acid and the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 is as narrow as 0.07 mm2 as in the liquid agent containers 1 of A1 to A7, the groove 5 is likely to become clogged with crystals precipitated from the ascorbic acid over time, and the liquid agent L1 has difficulty in flushing away the crystals clogged in the groove 5. Therefore, in order to drip only one drop of the liquid agent L1 from the discharge port 20, a larger squeeze force is required, and therefore the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 is preferably 0.087 to 0.28 mm2 .
- the nozzle 2 has a contact surface 21 that contacts the spherical valve 3 in the circumferential direction, and a holding portion 22 that holds the spherical valve 3 in contact with the contact surface 21.
- the contact surface 21 may have a groove 5 that connects the space on the inner side of the nozzle 2, which is closer to the container body 4 than the contact surface 21, to the discharge port 20.
- the structure of the nozzle 2 is not limited to the structure shown in FIG. 1, etc.
- Two or more grooves 5 may be provided on the contact surface 21. Furthermore, the grooves 5 do not have to extend in a straight line when viewed from the center of the spherical valve 3, and may extend, for example, in a curved or broken line.
- the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove 5 and the viscosity of the liquid L1 are not limited to the combinations in the ranges described above, and can be changed as appropriate.
- liquid L1 may be a liquid that does not contain ascorbic acid.
- the solution container (1) of the first aspect has the following configuration.
- the liquid container (1) of the first embodiment includes a hollow cylindrical nozzle (2) having an outlet (20) at its tip, a spherical valve (3) held within the nozzle (2), and a flexible container body (4) connected to the nozzle (2) and containing the liquid (L1).
- the nozzle (2) has an abutment surface (21) that abuts against the spherical valve (3) in the circumferential direction, and a holding portion (22) that holds the spherical valve (3) in abutment against the abutment surface (21).
- the abutment surface (21) has a groove (5) that connects the space on the container body (4) side of the abutment surface (21) on the inside of the nozzle (2) with the outlet (20).
- a groove (5) is provided on the contact surface (21) of the nozzle (2) that contacts the spherical valve (3) in the circumferential direction, connecting the space upstream of the contact surface (21) on the inside of the nozzle (2) with the discharge port (20). Therefore, in the liquid container (1) of the first embodiment, when the container body (4) is pressed, the liquid (L1) in the container body (4) can be discharged from the discharge port (20) through the groove (5). In the liquid container (1) of the first embodiment, it is only necessary to appropriately set the cross-sectional area, etc. of the groove (5) formed in the nozzle (2) according to the viscosity of the liquid (L1), so that it is easy to make a structure corresponding to the viscosity of the liquid (L1).
- the liquid container (1) of the second aspect additionally has the following configuration in addition to the configuration of the first aspect.
- the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove (5) required for dripping a predetermined amount of liquid (L1) from the discharge port (20) can be increased. Therefore, in the second embodiment of the liquid container (1), the liquid (L1) easily passes through the groove (5), the groove (5) is less likely to become clogged, and it is easy to keep the amount of liquid (L1) dripped from the discharge port (20) constant.
- the liquid container (1) of the third aspect additionally has the following configuration in addition to the configuration of the second aspect.
- the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove (5) is 0.087 to 0.28 mm2, and the viscosity of the liquid (L1) is 50 to 3000 mPa ⁇ s.
- liquid agent container (1) of the third aspect having the above configuration
- the liquid agent (L1) having a viscosity of 50 to 3000 mPa ⁇ s in the container body (4) can be discharged from the discharge port (20) through the groove (5) having a flow path cross-sectional area of 0.087 to 0.28 mm2 .
- liquid agent container (1) of the third aspect since the viscosity of the liquid agent (L1) and the flow path cross-sectional area of the groove (5) have the above-mentioned relationship, when the discharge port (20) is directed vertically downward, it is easy to prevent the liquid agent (L1) from passing through the groove (5) due to its own weight and being discharged from the discharge port (20). Therefore, in the liquid agent container (1) of the third aspect, when the container body (4) is pressed once, a fixed amount of the liquid agent (L1) can be easily dripped.
- the liquid container (1) of the fourth aspect additionally has the following configuration in addition to the configuration of the third aspect.
- the liquid (L1) contains ascorbic acid.
- liquid agent container (1) of the fourth embodiment having the above configuration, since the liquid agent (L1) contains ascorbic acid, crystals are likely to precipitate, but the groove (5) is not easily clogged and the liquid agent (L1) easily passes through the groove (5). Therefore, in the liquid agent container (1) of the fourth embodiment, even if crystals of the liquid agent (L1) precipitate, it is easy to drip a fixed amount of the liquid agent (L1) when the container body (4) is pressed once.
