- the cooling and lubricating device has a lubricating and coolant circuit through which a lubricating and coolant can flow, which is also referred to as a lubricating and coolant circuit or simply as a circuit or circuit.
- the lubricating and coolant is also simply referred to as a lubricant or as a coolant and is a fluid, so that the coolant and lubricant is also referred to as a fluid.

- the transmission components, the electric machine, a sump for at least temporarily holding the lubricant and coolant, a cooling device for cooling the lubricant and coolant and at least one pumping device are arranged in the lubricant and coolant circuit, by means of which the lubricant and coolant can be conveyed, i.e. is to be conveyed, from the sump at least to the transmission components.
- the lubricant and coolant can thus be held in the sump, in particular by forming a fill level of the lubricant and coolant, colloquially also referred to as a level.
- the fill level of the coolant and lubricant in the sump is to be understood as a height of the coolant and lubricant held in the sump and thus an uppermost surface of the lubricant and coolant held in the sump in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the motor vehicle, wherein the electric drive device assumes its installation position in the fully manufactured state of the motor vehicle having the electric drive device, also simply referred to as a vehicle.
- the lubricant and coolant circuit has a first branch through which the lubricant and coolant conveyed from the sump by means of the pumping device can flow, which can thus be flowed through by a first partial flow, also referred to as the first partial flow, of the lubricant and coolant conveyed by means of the pumping device.

- the second branch By means of the second branch, the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch, i.e. the second partial flow flowing through the second branch, can be fed to the transmission components, i.e. guided to the transmission components, whereby the transmission components can be supplied with the coolant and lubricant, i.e. with the second partial flow.
- the transmission components can be cooled and/or lubricated by means of the lubricant and coolant.
- the first branch with the exception of at least or exactly one venting point provided or designed for venting the first branch, is designed or designed as a closed circuit, thus as a closed circuit which, with the exception of the at least or exactly one venting point, has a return line running from the stator to an intake area, by means of which the lubricant and coolant can be guided into the intake area, from which the lubricant and coolant can be sucked in by means of the pumping device.
- the pumping device can suck in the lubricant and coolant from the intake area during operation of the pumping device, thus conveying it towards itself and, in particular, then conveying it away from itself and thereby conveying it through the branches.

Since the return line runs closed from the stator to the intake area, with the exception of at least one or exactly one venting point, excessive build-up can be avoided.
- this can prevent an excessive amount of heat from being lost unused from the lubricant and coolant, so that the invention can also enable targeted use of an amount of heat absorbed by the lubricant and coolant and thus contained in the lubricant and coolant.
- a filter element for filtering the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch is provided, i.e. arranged, only in the second branch.
- the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch can flow through the filter element and can filter out any particles contained in the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch, in particular depending on the size of the particles, from the lubricant and coolant.
- the filter element has, for example, pores through which the lubricant and coolant can flow.
- the particles contained in the lubricant and coolant are larger than the pores, the particles stick to the filter element when the lubricant and coolant flows through the filter element, whereby the particles are filtered out of the lubricant and coolant by means of the filter element.
- the filter element is designed as a fleece, i.e. as a filter fleece.
- the particles are or result from abrasion, for example, which can occur during operation of the electric drive device and thus of the transmission components. This enables efficient and effective filtering of the lubricant and coolant, so that the drive device can be cooled and lubricated effectively and efficiently.
- a further embodiment of the electric drive device is characterized by a filter device which is arranged in the sump, in particular below the fill level, and is designed or constructed as a multi-chamber filter.
- the filter device has a transmission lubricant filter element, arranged in particular in the second branch, for filtering the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch.
- the transmission lubricant filter element is the filter element mentioned above.
- the transmission lubricant filter element can be flowed through by the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch, for example, and can, as previously explained with regard to the filter element, filter out any particles contained in the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch.
- the previous and following statements on the filter element can also be easily transferred to the transmission lubricant filter element and vice versa.
- the filter device also has a stator lubricant filter element arranged in the first branch for filtering the lubricant and coolant flowing through the first branch.
- the stator lubricant filter element is also referred to as the first filter element
- the transmission lubricant filter element is also referred to as the second filter element.
- any particles contained in the lubricant and coolant flowing through the first branch can be filtered out of the lubricant and coolant flowing through the first branch by means of the first filter element (stator center filter element).
- the first filter element stator center filter element
- the lubricant and coolant can flow through the respective filter element, for example, so that the first filter element can be flowed through by the lubricant and coolant flowing through the first branch, and so that the second filter element can be flowed through by the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch, for example.
- any particles contained in the lubricant and coolant can be filtered out of the lubricant and coolant, so that, for example, of the first filter element, any particles contained in the lubricant and coolant flowing through the first branch can be filtered out of the lubricant and coolant flowing through the first branch, and so that, for example, by means of the second filter element, any particles contained in the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch can be filtered out of the lubricant and coolant flowing through the second branch.
- the respective filter element has pores through which the lubricant and coolant can flow.
- the particles stick to the respective filter element, as a result of which the particles are filtered out of the lubricant and coolant.

- the respective filter element is designed as a respective fleece, thus as a respective filter fleece.
- the filter device is arranged, in particular completely, below the filling level of the lubricant and coolant.
- a further embodiment is characterized in that the multi-chamber filter has a filter housing which delimits a receiving space for at least temporarily receiving the lubricant and coolant, in particular directly.
- the receiving space is delimited, for example, by an inner circumferential surface of the filter housing, in particular directly.
- the multi-chamber filter has the stator lubricant filter element (first filter element) arranged in the filter housing, wherein the receiving space is divided by the stator lubricant filter element into a first chamber of the multi-chamber filter and a second chamber of the multi-chamber filter and is thus arranged between the first chamber and the second chamber.
- the second chamber is designed as a suction chamber forming the intake area.
- stator lubricant filter element is arranged in the receiving space.
- the multi-chamber filter also has the transmission lubricant filter element (second filter element) arranged in the filter housing, in particular in the receiving space, wherein the receiving space is divided by the transmission lubricant filter element into the second chamber and a third chamber of the multi-chamber filter, whereby the Transmission lubricant filter element is arranged between the second chamber and the third chamber.
- the multi-chamber filter in particular the filter housing, has a connection also referred to as a connection element or connection piece.
- the return has a return line that runs, in particular completely, closed from the stator to the connection and is fluidically connected to the first chamber by means of the connection.
- the return line is also mechanically connected to the multi-chamber filter, in particular to the filter housing, by means of the connection.
- the coolant and lubricant flowing through the first branch, and thus the first partial flow can thus flow through the return line and the connection, so that the lubricant and coolant flowing through the return line can flow out of the return line and thereby subsequently flow through the connection and flow out of the connection and thereby subsequently flow into the first chamber.
- the lubricant and coolant from the return line can thus be fed to the first chamber via the connection or introduced into the first chamber.
- the lubricant and coolant flowing out of the return line and the connection and flowing into the first chamber can, for example, subsequently flow through the first filter element and thereby flow from the first chamber into the second chamber, thus into the intake area, and subsequently be sucked in by means of the pump device, thus being conveyed from the intake area to the pump device.
- the lubricant and coolant flows through the first filter element and is thus filtered by means of the first filter element.
- the multi-chamber filter in particular the filter housing, also has an inlet opening of the third chamber, in particular designed as a through-opening, wherein, for example, the inlet opening penetrates the filter housing, in particular completely.
- the inlet opening opens at one end, in particular directly, into the third chamber and at the other end, in particular directly, into an area surrounding the filter housing itself, i.e. considered on its own.
- the lubricant and coolant from the sump can be introduced into the third chamber via the inlet opening, so that, for example, the sump is arranged in the area surrounding the filter housing itself.
- the inlet opening opens at one end, in particular directly, into the third chamber and at the other end, in particular directly, into the sump.
- the lubricant and coolant from the sump can flow through the inlet opening and thus flow into the third chamber via the inlet opening.
- the Lubricants and coolants flow through the second filter element and thereby into the second chamber, and thus the intake area, and are sucked in by the intake area by means of the pumping device and thus conveyed to the pumping device.
- the lubricant and coolant flows through the second filter element and is thus filtered by means of the second filter element.
- the return line runs completely closed from the stator to the intake area.
- the return line runs, in particular completely closed, from the stator to the connection and thus to the filter housing and into the first chamber.
- the return line runs, in particular completely, closed from the stator to the connection and thus to the filter housing. Since the return line runs, for example, in particular completely, closed from the stator to the connection and thus to the filter housing, and since the return line is fluidically connected to the connection so that the lubricant and coolant flowing through the return line can flow out of the return line and into the first chamber via the connection, the lubricant and coolant can be introduced from the stator into the first chamber by means of the return line, bypassing the sump, and in particular flow from the first chamber into the second chamber bypassing the sump, and thus be sucked in from the second chamber by means of the pump device, in particular bypassing the sump.
- the second chamber is arranged between the first chamber and the third chamber.
- the first chamber is arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle above the second chamber, in particular in such a way that the second chamber in In the installation position of the drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle, the first chamber overlaps at least partially, in particular at least predominantly or completely, upwards.
- the second chamber is arranged above the third chamber in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle, in particular in such a way that the third chamber in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle is at least partially, in particular at least predominantly and thus at least more than half or completely, upwards overlapped by the second chamber. This enables a particularly advantageous guidance of the lubricant and coolant to be realized, so that excessive build-up or foaming of the lubricant can be advantageously avoided.
- the first chamber has the venting point for venting the first branch.
- Venting the lubricant and coolant or the first branch means that any air contained in the lubricant and coolant or the first branch, and thus in the lubricant and coolant circuit, can be removed from the lubricant and coolant or the first branch, and thus from the lubricant and coolant circuit, and in particular can be removed to an area surrounding the lubricant and coolant circuit. This ensures effective and efficient cooling and lubrication of the electric drive device.
- a further embodiment of the invention provides that the venting point has, in particular precisely, a vent opening in the filter housing.
- the vent opening penetrates the filter housing, in particular in such a way that the vent opening opens at one end, in particular directly, into the receiving space, in particular into the first chamber, and at the other end, in particular directly, into the aforementioned surroundings of the filter housing.
- connection is designed to overlap with the first chamber.
- the connecting piece extends into the first chamber, whereby, for example, the connection extends at least substantially 5 to 10 mm into the first chamber. This allows the lubricant and coolant to be introduced into the first chamber in a particularly advantageous manner via the connection, without excessive foaming or frothing of the lubricant and coolant occurring.
- a further embodiment of the invention provides that the stator lubricant filter element is less finely structured than the transmission lubricant filter element. This is to be understood in particular that, for example, the pores of the stator lubricant filter element are larger than the pores of the transmission lubricant filter element. Alternatively or additionally, the stator lubricant filter element has a smaller layer thickness than the transmission lubricant filter element.
- the introduction opening of the third chamber is arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle and thus geodetically below the fill level of the lubricant and coolant.
- the lubricant and coolant can be guided from the sump into the third chamber and from the third chamber via the second filter element into the intake area (second chamber) in a particularly advantageous manner and in particular without the lubricant and coolant becoming excessively foamed or foamed.
- a further, particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the return line has an inlet opening through which the lubricant and coolant, in particular from the stator, can flow, which is at least indirectly fluidically connected to a stator outlet opening, in particular of the stator, through which the lubricant and coolant, in particular the lubricant and coolant flowing out of the stator, can flow.
- the lubricant and coolant flowing out of or away from the stator after it has lubricated and/or cooled the stator, can flow through the stator outlet opening and thus flow via the stator outlet opening to the inlet opening, flow through the inlet opening and thereby flow into the return line via the inlet opening.
- the return line also has an outlet opening through which the lubricant and coolant flowing through the return line can flow.
- the return line is fluidically connected to the connection via its outlet opening and thus fluidically connected to the first chamber via the connection, so that, for example, the lubricant and coolant flowing through the return line can flow through the outlet opening of the return line and thus flow out of the return line via the outlet opening, flow through the connection and thus flow into the first chamber.
- the outlet opening of the return line is arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle and thus geodetically below the fill level of the lubricant and coolant.
- the venting point is arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle and thus geodetically below the fill level of the lubricant and coolant. This allows the lubricant and coolant circuit to be advantageously vented, in particular without excessive expansion or foaming of the lubricant and coolant.
- the venting point in particular the venting opening, is arranged at an elevated position or in an elevated area of the filter housing.
- the venting point, in particular the venting opening is arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle and thus geodetically above the first chamber, the second chamber and the third chamber.
- connection is preferably designed to overlap the first chamber, and therefore extends into the first chamber
- the air separated from the first branch can collect undisturbed in the first chamber and, in particular, in the installed position of the drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle above a discharge point at which the connection itself opens into the first chamber.
- the air is introduced, for example, through leaks in the lubricant and coolant circuit and/or into or via the second branch.
- the introduction opening of the third chamber is arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device in the vertical direction of the vehicle below the filling level of the lubricant and coolant (36) in the sump.
- the stator lubricant filter element is less finely structured and/or has a smaller layer thickness than the transmission lubricant filter element, an excessive pressure loss can be avoided, so that efficient cooling and lubrication of the drive device can be achieved.
- This embodiment is possible in particular because no excessive amount of abrasion to be filtered out of the lubricant and coolant is introduced into the return line, which is closed with the exception of the venting point.
- a motor vehicle referred to simply as a vehicle, which can be designed as a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger car, and has an electric drive device according to the invention and can be driven by means of the electric drive device, in particular purely electrically.

- the respective filter element has pores 48 and 50, shown particularly schematically in Fig. 4, through which the lubricant and coolant 36 can flow, so that the respective filter element can be flowed through by the lubricant and coolant 36. On its way through the respective filter element, the lubricant and coolant 36 is filtered by means of the respective filter element.
- the filter device 42 and thus the multi-chamber filter have a housing 52 which, for example, has at least or exactly two housing parts 54 and 56.
- the housing parts 54 and 56 are, for example, housing shells, which are also simply referred to as shells.
- the housing parts 54 and 56 are formed separately from one another and at least indirectly, in particular directly, connected to one another.
- the housing part 54 In the installation position of the electric drive device 10, the housing part 54 is arranged above the housing part 56 in the vertical direction of the motor vehicle, wherein the electric drive device 10 assumes its installation position in the fully manufactured state of the motor vehicle having the drive device 10.
- the installation position of the drive device 10 is shown in the figures.
- the vertical direction of the vehicle is thus illustrated by a double arrow 58.
- the housing part 54 is therefore also referred to as the upper housing part, upper part or upper shell, so that the housing part 56 is also referred to as the lower housing part, lower part or lower shell.
- a receiving space 62 of the filter device 42 is delimited, in particular directly, by the filter housing 52, in particular by an inner peripheral surface 60 of the filter housing 52.
- the multi-chamber filter has the first filter element arranged in the receiving space 62 and in the filter housing 52, which divides the receiving space 62 into a first chamber 64 and a second chamber 66 of the multi-chamber filter and is therefore arranged, in particular in the vertical direction of the vehicle, between the first chamber 64 and the second chamber 66.
- the multi-chamber filter has the second filter element arranged in the receiving space 62 and thus in the filter housing 54, which divides the receiving space 62 into the second chamber 66 and a third chamber 68 and is therefore arranged, in particular in the vertical direction of the vehicle, between the second chamber 66 and the third chamber 68.
- the multi-chamber filter in particular the filter housing 52 and in particular the housing part 54, has a connection 70, also referred to as a connector.
- the return 40 has a return line 72 (Fig. 1) which runs, in particular completely, from the stator 16 to the connection 70 and which is fluidically connected to the first chamber 64 by means of the connection 70. This means that the return line 72 is fluidically connected both to the connection 70 and, in particular via the connection 70, to the first chamber 64.
- an arrow 74 illustrates a first flow of the lubricant and coolant 36, also referred to as the first partial flow, wherein the first partial flow flows through the return line 72 and through the connection 70 and thus flows into the first chamber 64 via the connection 70, in particular bypassing the sump 24.
- the second chamber 66 is designed as a suction chamber forming the suction area AB.
- the filter housing 54 and thus the multi-chamber filter has an insertion opening 78, which in the present case is designed as a through opening that completely penetrates the filter housing 52, in particular the lower part.
- the inlet opening 78 opens at one end, in particular directly, into the chamber 68 and at the other end, in particular directly, into an environment 80 of the filter housing 52 itself and in this case into the sump 24.
- the lubricant and coolant 36 from the sump 24 can flow through the inlet opening 78 and thereby flow, in particular directly, into the chamber 68.
- the lubricant and coolant 36 flowing into the chamber 68 can flow through the second filter element and thereby flow from the chamber 68 into the chamber 66 and thus into the suction region AB, from or out of which the pump device 28 can suck in the lubricant and coolant 36, thus convey it towards itself, in particular suck it towards itself.
- the second chamber 66 is arranged in the vertical direction of the vehicle between the first chamber 64 and the third chamber 68, the first chamber 64 being arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device 10 in the vertical direction of the vehicle (double arrow 58) above the second chamber 66, which is arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device 10 in the vertical direction of the vehicle above the third chamber 68.
- the first chamber 64 has the venting point S for venting the first branch 30.
- the venting point S has, in particular, a vent opening 86 which penetrates the filter housing 52, in particular the housing part 54, in particular completely. The vent opening 86 thus opens at one end, in particular directly, into the chamber 64 and at the other end, in particular directly, into the environment 80 and thereby into the sump 24.
- connection 70 extends a little, for example between 5 and 10 mm, into the chamber 64.
- stator lubricant filter element 46 has a less fine structure than the transmission lubricant filter element 44, so that the pores 50 of the first filter element are larger than the pores of the second filter element.
- the stator lubricant filter element 46 has a smaller layer thickness than the transmission lubricant filter element 44, particularly in the vertical direction of the vehicle. It can be seen particularly well from Fig.
- the introduction opening 78 is arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device 10 in the vertical direction of the vehicle (double arrow 58) and thus geodetically below the fill level 38 of the lubricant and coolant 36.
- the venting point S and thus the venting opening 86 designed as a through-opening are also arranged in the installation position of the electric drive device 10 in the vertical direction of the vehicle below the fill level 38 of the lubricant and coolant 36. It can be seen from Fig.
- the return line 72 has an inlet opening 88 through which the lubricant and coolant 36 flowing out in particular from the stator 16 can flow, which is at least indirectly fluidically connected to a stator outlet opening (not visible in the figures) through which the lubricant and coolant 36 flowing out in particular from the stator 16 can flow.
- the return line 72 has an outlet opening 90 through which the lubricant and coolant 36 flowing through the return line 72 can flow, via which, for example, the return line 72 is fluidically connected to the connection 70, so that the return line 72 is fluidically connected to the first chamber 64 via its outlet opening 90 and via the connection 70.
- the outlet opening 90 of the return line 72 is preferably arranged in the vertical direction of the vehicle in the installed position of the electric drive device 10 and thus geodetically below the fill level 38 of the lubricant and coolant 36.
- the lubricant and coolant 36 can be returned from the stator 16 to below the fill level 38 of the lubricant and coolant 36 and to below its surface in the sump 24, also referred to as the tank.
- the return line 72 which is preferably completely closed at least from the stator 16 to the connection 70 and is also referred to as the return line, can receive and channel the lubricant and coolant 36 after it has absorbed heat from the stator 16 and guide it back to and into the sump 24.
- This can be achieved in particular by the return line 72 being closed, in particular completely, from the stator 16 to the connection 70.
- Heat absorbed by the lubricant and coolant 36 and provided, for example, by the stator 16 can be fed directly back into the sump 24 and can be available, for example, to the cooling device 26 when it is sucked in again.
- the Cooling device 26 is designed, for example, as a heat exchanger, via which the heat contained in the lubricant and coolant 36 can be transferred, for example, to another medium, in particular one designed as a fluid. This allows the medium to be heated.
- the heated medium can be used, for example, to heat the interior of the motor vehicle and/or another, further component.
- the return line 72 designed, for example, as a pipe or return pipe, is made of plastic, for example, and can therefore be manufactured inexpensively.
- the drive device 10 is provided with a return line 40 which is closed with the exception of the venting point S.
- the first partial flow from the stator 16 can be returned directly into the chamber 64 and thus directly into the filter device 42 by means of the return line 40, bypassing the open sump 24.
- the filter device 42 is designed as a filter module, in particular as an oil filter module.
- the filter device 42 has several chambers, i.e. in this case at least or exactly three chambers, namely the first chamber 64, the second chamber 66 and the third chamber 68.
- At least the first partial flow can be directed to the filter device 42, which is designed, for example, as a multi-chamber filter module, i.e. bypassing the sump 24, whereby an excessive circulation rate of the amount of lubricant and coolant 36 passing through the sump 24 can be avoided.
- the residence time of the lubricant and coolant 36 in the sump 24 increases compared to conventional solutions, so that the lubricant and coolant 36 received in the sump 24 can advantageously outgas. In this way, an excessive gas content in the lubricant and coolant 36 of the electric drive device 10 can be avoided, which has a positive effect on the cooling and/or lubricating properties of the lubricant and coolant 36.
- a volume flow of the lubricant and coolant 36 to be conveyed by means of the pump device 28 can be reduced for the same cooling and/or lubricating effect, which has a positive effect on the power consumption of the pump device 28, which is preferably designed as an oil pump. In this way, particularly energy-efficient operation can be ensured. Furthermore, for example, the amount of lubricant and coolant 36 absorbed in the drive device 10 can be reduced in comparison to conventional solutions, whereby the costs and weight of the drive device 10 can be kept to a particularly low level.
