- the filter 102 is permeable to carbon dioxide.
- the algae adhere to the filter 102 and are collected. That is, the algae are cultured inside the culture tank 101. Details will be described later.
- the culture tank 101 may be made of a material that is transparent to visible light, or may be made of metal. If the culture tank 101 is made of metal, it is preferable to provide a light source 103 inside the culture tank 101.
- the culture tank 101 has multiple light sources 103 inside.
- the culture tank 101 also has multiple carbon dioxide supply ports 104.
- the number, arrangement, and light intensity of the multiple light sources 103 are set appropriately.
- the algae slurry is irradiated with a predetermined amount of visible light while passing through the internal space of the culture tank 101.

With this configuration, the algae slurry is exposed to an atmosphere of a predetermined concentration of carbon dioxide while passing through the internal space of the culture tank 101.
- the culture tank 101 may be configured to irradiate the internal space with sunlight (natural light). For example, this can be achieved by making at least a part of the housing of the culture tank 101 a translucent material.

- the valve 30A2 is disposed in the pipe 120.
- the algae slurry flows into the culture tank 101.
- the filter 102 is permeable to carbon dioxide, and the culture tank 101 is permeable to visible light. Therefore, the algae in the algae slurry are irradiated with visible light and supplied with carbon dioxide. This causes the algae to photosynthesize and grow.
- the algae pass through the filter 102. As this photosynthesis and growth are repeated, the concentration of the algae increases, and the algae aggregate to form clumps. Then, when the clumps of algae reach a predetermined size, the algae attach to the filter 102 (are collected).

In this way, pressure sensor 20A and pressure sensor 20B detect the internal pressure of culture tank 101 of culture unit 10A and the internal pressure of culture tank 101 of culture unit 10B.
- the control unit 40 determines that the internal pressure of the cultivation tank 101 has increased based on the change in internal pressure detected by the pressure sensor 20A.
- control unit 40 compares the internal pressure of the culture unit 10A detected by the pressure sensor 20A with a preset threshold value, and if the internal pressure exceeds the threshold value (S12: Yes), determines that the internal pressure of the culture tank 101 has increased. Next, the control unit 40 closes the flow path to the culture tank 101 in the valve 30A1, and closes the valve 30A2 (S13). In other words, the control unit 40 switches the flow path of the algae slurry so that it does not pass through the culture unit 10A.
- the "first state” and “second state” of the present invention correspond as follows.
- the “first state” and “second state” define the state of the flow path through which the algae slurry flows in the culture units 10A, 10B, and 10C.

可視光の透過性を得る場合、培養槽101は、PET(ポリエチレンテレフタラート)、PE(ポリエチレン)、PP(ポリプロピレン)、PS(ポリスチレン)、PVC(ポリ塩化ビニル)等から選択される。
