Definitions
- the present application relates to the field of communication technology, and more specifically, to a communication method, a terminal device and a network device.
- a terminal device comprising a processor and a memory, wherein the memory is used to store one or more computer programs, and the processor is used to call the computer program in the memory so that the terminal device executes part or all of the steps in the method of the first aspect.
- FIG6 is a schematic flowchart of a communication method provided in Embodiment 2 of the present application.
- Relay technology supports the establishment of connections between communication devices through relay terminal devices (relay UE) or relay nodes.
- the relay between the terminal device and the network device UE-NW relay
- the remote terminal device can be a terminal device located outside the coverage of the network device (hereinafter referred to as the coverage of the network device). Therefore, UE-NW relay technology can expand the network coverage.
- Both ends of the Uu-service data adaptation protocol (SDAP) layer/Uu-packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer are terminated between the remote terminal device and the gNB, while both ends of the RLC layer, the medium access control (MAC) layer and the physical layer (i.e., the PHY layer in Figure 2) are terminated in the links between adjacent nodes (i.e., the link between the remote terminal device and the relay terminal device and the link between the relay terminal device and the gNB).
- SDAP Uu-service data adaptation protocol
- PDCP User Data convergence protocol
- the adaptation layer of the relay terminal device and the adaptation layer of the gNB can be used to support uplink bearer mapping between the PC5 RLC channel and the Uu RLC channel.
- different end-to-end radio bearers of the same remote terminal device and/or different remote terminal devices can be N:1 mapped and data multiplexed on one Uu RLC channel, where N is an integer greater than or equal to 1.
- multiple end-to-end radio bearers of the remote terminal device can be mapped to one Uu RLC channel of the relay terminal device.
- the radio bearer can be a signaling radio bearer (SRB) and/or a data radio bearer (DRB).
- the report on the occurrence of RLF on the first link may be transmitted via a message on the second link. Since the second link may not have an SRB set, the report on the occurrence of RLF on the first link may be transmitted via a path available on the second link. For example, the report on the occurrence of RLF on the first link may be carried in a media access control element (MAC CE). For example, the report on the occurrence of RLF on the first link may be carried in physical layer signaling.
- MAC CE media access control element
- the report on the occurrence of RLF on the first link may be carried in physical layer signaling.
- the receiving end of the first message can perform targeted operations based on the first message, so as to avoid the process of RRC connection re-establishment as much as possible, thereby avoiding communication interruption.
- the receiving end can send the second message based on the first message.
- the terminal device can receive the second message.
- the second message can be used to instruct the terminal device to receive and/or send a message carried by the SRB based on the second link.
- the terminal device eg, a remote terminal device
- the terminal device can use the SRB configured on the second link to continue communication.
- the second message may be transmitted on the second link.
- a pre-configured, preset, or default SRB1 configuration may be used to receive and/or send the second message on the SRB1 on the second link.
- Fig. 4 is a schematic flow chart of a communication method provided in an embodiment of the present application.
- the method shown in Fig. 4 may be executed by a terminal device.
- the method shown in Fig. 4 may include step S410.
- the terminal device can determine that the cell for initiating RRC re-establishment is the cell corresponding to the second link or the cell corresponding to the first link without performing a cell search process. In other words, the terminal device can directly or preferentially initiate RRC connection re-establishment to the cell corresponding to the second link or the cell corresponding to the first link. For example, in response to RLF occurring in the first link, the terminal device can initiate RRC connection re-establishment to the cell corresponding to the second link or the cell corresponding to the first link.
- Step S510 RLF occurs in the relay link between the remote terminal device and the relay terminal device. In other words, RLF occurs in the link corresponding to the PC5 interface.
- the terminal device 700 also includes: a re-establishment unit, used to initiate RRC connection re-establishment if the first timer expires; wherein, the first timer is started based on RLF occurring in the first link, or the first timer is started based on the transmission of the first message.
- a re-establishment unit used to initiate RRC connection re-establishment if the first timer expires; wherein, the first timer is started based on RLF occurring in the first link, or the first timer is started based on the transmission of the first message.

- the network device 800 may include a first sending unit 810.
- the apparatus 900 may further include one or more memories 920.
- the memory 920 stores a program, which can be executed by the processor 910, so that the processor 910 executes the method described in the above method embodiment.

- the term "corresponding" may indicate that there is a direct or indirect correspondence between the two, or an association relationship between the two, or a relationship of indication and being indicated, configuration and being configured, etc.
- the term "and/or" is only a description of the association relationship of the associated objects, indicating that there can be three relationships.
- a and/or B can represent: A exists alone, A and B exist at the same time, and B exists alone.
- the character "/" in this article generally indicates that the associated objects before and after are in an "or" relationship.
- the size of the serial numbers of the above-mentioned processes does not mean the order of execution.
- the execution order of each process should be determined by its function and internal logic, and should not constitute any limitation on the implementation process of the embodiments of the present application.
