Description
MARINA CONTROL SYSTEM
Technical Section
The invention is about a marina control system that automatically controls empty spaces for boats in a marina, where the information determined as a result of the control are shared with the users through an application.
State of the Art
In the current technique, it is possible to control if there is free space in the marina when the boats arrive there. When there is a vacant place, the number of days the boat will stay is recorded by the authorized personnel and payment is received. However, no control mechanism is applied within the specified period. If the boat owner wants to increase the number of days s/he will stay during this period or to leave the marina beforehand, s/he notifies the authorized persons verbally. In this case, registration and payment transactions are carried out once again manually.
Since the vacant places can not be remotely located in the marina, it is not possible to determine where a newly arrived boat shall be docked in marina. In addition, the inability to determine how many days a boat will stay in the marina to which it is docked, causes confusion and uncertainties the marina. In addition to that, available areas cannot be located and reservations cannot be made for future use in the marina.
In the current technique, the controls within the marina and payment transactions are followed by the personnel circulating inside the marina with a boat . However, in this case, extra payment can be made , or some payment can be missed by mistake. At the same time, this situation leads to confusion as it is not possible to make planning for the areas where the boats will be located. This may lead to financial loss.
During the research made about the existing techniques, the application numbered TR2022/003876 was encountered. The application is about a structure that enables ships to dock automatically to the pier without human intervention. Accordingly, it foresees the creation of magnetic field, composed of magnetic plates and sensors, that
receive the boat upon its entrance the docking route. However, the application does not mention of a system that automatically checks the empty spaces for boats in the marina and shares the information about the places determined with the users via an application.
Consequently, a development in the technical field is considered necessary due to the above-mentioned drawbacks and the inadequacy of the existing solutions.
Purpose of the Invention
The main purpose of the invention is to automatically control the empty places for boats in a marina and to ensure that the places detected as a result of the control are shared with the users.
The purpose of the invention is to check the availability of marinas through the application and to share information about the marina and to enable reservation for the marina to which the boat will approach.
Another purpose of the invention is to enable payments for the bookings made in marina through the application.
Another purpose of the invention is to enable marina management and boat owners to have access to the occupancy rates and general information about the marina through the application.
The other purpose of the invention is to prevent the marina operator from renting out the berths to different people without knowing the marina by detecting the vacant places, and to increase the income by selling the same place more than once.
The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly thanks to the figures given below and the detailed description written with reference to these figures.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the invention are explained only for a better understanding of the subject and without any limiting effect.
The marina control system, which is the subject to the invention is composed of: a detection unit where the marina area information is recorded and the boats in the marina are tracked (1 ); a sensor unit (2), located in the detection unit (1 ), that detects the presence of boats in the areas where the boats will be docked; a control unit (3), which receives the relevant data from the detection unit (1 ) and the sensor unit (2), processes the data it receives and determines whether the areas where the boats will be placed are occupied/empty; and an application (4) that allows controlling the occupancy rates of marinas by means of the software that is run in the mobile device by receiving the processed data from the control unit (3).
Capacity information regarding how many boats can fit in the marina is recorded in the control unit (3). Thus, when the data regarding the boats detected by the detection unit (1 ) during its monitoring in the marina are transmitted to the control unit (3), detections can be made regarding the presence of more boats without berthing. The control unit (3) detects and records the entry and exit times of the boats settled in the parking areas by receiving the relevant data from the detection unit (1 ) and the sensor unit (2).
The sensor unit (2) measures the distance to detect the presence of the boat in the areas where the boats will settle.
There are visual warning units in the areas where the boats will dock. The visual warning unit works integrated with the sensor unit (2). If the presence of the boat is detected by the sensor unit (2), the visual warning unit is informed with red light and if the area is empty, blue light. Thus, it is possible to monitor remotely which areas are occupied and which are empty .
The application (4) can be accessed by marina owners and users who log in as a member. General information about marinas is recorded in the application (4). The application (4) takes the data processed from the control unit (3) and shares the occupancy rates of the marinas with the users through the software running in it. Users can make reservations to marinas through the application (4). During the reservation, the entrance and exit dates to the marina are processed and the payment information is shared with the user, and payments related to their reservations can be made. The user is informed on which area the boats will be placed through the application (4) regarding the booked marinas. At the same time, marina owners can perform follow-ups through the application (4) and perform transactions such as billing etc. Thus, the application (4) enables the subscription procedures and follow-up of the marina.
In case of any failure or warning related to the marina or boats, service direction can be made by notifying through the application (4).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the detection unit (1 ) can be a drone or a satellite. When controlled by a drone, the drone works with image processing technology.
