Definitions
- the present invention relates to a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition.
- Known oil-based cosmetic compositions include hair oil, hair stick, hair clay, and hair balm.
- Patent Document 1 discloses an oil-based hair cosmetic composition that contains (A) 12-hydroxystearic acid, (B) one or more hydrocarbon oils, and (C) one or more silicone derivatives.
- Patent Document 2 discloses a hair balm that contains liquid oil (A) and a solidifying agent (B) that solidifies the liquid oil (A), in which the liquid oil (A) content is 70% to 99% by mass and the solidifying agent (B) content is 1% to 30% by mass.
- Oil-based cosmetic compositions that have moderately hard properties such as hair balms
- oil-based cosmetic compositions that have hard properties such as hair clay
- These oil-based cosmetic compositions contain oil components that are solid at 25°C to impart hardness to the oil-based cosmetic composition.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition that spreads better than an oil-based cosmetic composition having the same properties.
- the present inventors have conducted extensive research into cosmetic compositions that contain oily ingredients that are solid at 25°C, but spread better than oil-based cosmetic compositions with the same properties. As a result, the present inventors have found that the above-mentioned problems can be solved by the following cosmetic composition.
- the present invention provides a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition that contains the following components (A), (B), (C), and (D), and the content of component (D) is 15.0% by mass or more and 50.0% by mass or less.
- Component (A) An oily component that is solid at 25°C and has a melting point of 65°C or more and 100°C or less, selected from the group consisting of animal and vegetable oils and hydrocarbon oils.
- Component (B) An oily component that is liquid at 25°C, selected from the group consisting of vegetable oils and fatty acid triglycerides.
- Component (C) A nonionic surfactant that has a linear saturated alkyl chain having 13 or more carbon atoms and an HLB value of 2.8 or more and 8.0 or less.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention preferably contains the following component (E).
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention preferably contains the following component (F).
- Component (F) Phosphate-based surfactant with an HLB value of more than 8.0 and less than 12.0.
- the content of the oily component that is liquid at 25°C and is selected from the group consisting of component (B) and ester oils, hydrocarbon oils, and silicone oils other than component (B) is preferably 15.0% by mass or more and 70.0% by mass or less.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention preferably contains the following component (G), and the content of the oily component that is liquid at 25°C and is selected from the group consisting of component (B) and ester oils, hydrocarbon oils, and silicone oils other than component (B) is 5.0% by mass or more and 25.0% by mass or less.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably a hair cosmetic composition.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention contains specific component (A), specific component (B), specific component (C), and specific component (D), and the content of component (D) is 15.0% by mass or more and 50.0% by mass or less. Since the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, it can spread better than an oil-based cosmetic composition having the same properties.
- component (B) can keep hair in place.
- component (B) can provide a good moisturizing feel to the skin.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention contains an oil component that is solid at 25°C and has a melting point of 65°C or more and 100°C or less, selected from the group consisting of animal and vegetable oils and hydrocarbon oils, an oil component that is liquid at 25°C and selected from the group consisting of vegetable oils and fatty acid triglycerides, a nonionic surfactant that has a linear saturated alkyl chain with 13 or more carbon atoms and an HLB value of 2.8 or more and 8.0 or less, and water.
- oil component that is solid at 25°C and has a melting point of 65°C or higher and 100°C or lower, selected from the group consisting of animal and vegetable oils and hydrocarbon oils may be referred to as “component (A).”
- oil component that is liquid at 25°C and is selected from the group consisting of vegetable oils and fatty acid triglycerides may be referred to as “component (B).”
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention contains component (A), component (B), component (C), and component (D).
- the content of component (D) is 15.0% by mass or more and 50.0% by mass or less.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, and therefore can spread better than an oil-based cosmetic composition having the same properties.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention is a hair balm, it can spread better than a conventional hair balm (oil-based cosmetic composition).
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention is a hair clay, it can spread better than a conventional hair clay (oil-based cosmetic composition).
- a typical oil-based cosmetic composition hardness is imparted by the formation of a specific structure in an oil component that is liquid at 25°C due to the oil component being solid at 25°C.
- the size of the above structure is relatively large, and it is considered that the spreadability cannot be sufficiently improved.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention hardness is imparted by the structure formed by the oil component (component (A)) that is solid at 25°C, but the presence of the dispersed aqueous phase inhibits the formation of the above structure to some extent, and the size of the structure formed is relatively small. For this reason, the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention can spread better than oil-based cosmetic compositions having the same properties.
- water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention can effectively reduce stickiness.
- water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention is a hair cosmetic composition, it can keep hair in place well.
- water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention is a skin cosmetic composition, it can provide a good moisturizing feeling to the skin.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention also has improved applicability. Therefore, the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition taken with the fingers can be easily spread on the palm, and when applied to hair or skin, the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition can be easily and uniformly transferred to the hair or skin.
- water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention can provide good wash-off properties.
- the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention may contain polyglyceryl polyricinoleate.
