Abstract

The invention relates to a modular laboratory device (1, 100) that comprises a sample receiving element (2), which is designed to receive a sample, a drive (3), and at least one transfer element (5, 7, 8, 105, 107, 108), which has a central axis (Z) and is designed to be driven by the drive (3) to perform a rotational movement about the central axis (Z) and to transmit this rotational movement to the sample receiving element (2) in such a way that it executes a defined sequence of movements. The laboratory device comprises at least a first transfer element and a second transfer element, which can be optionally and interchangeably inserted into the laboratory device (1, 100), and which differ in that the sample receiving element executes different movement sequences. Alternatively or additionally, the laboratory device comprises at least a third transfer element that defines different attachment positions for the sample receiving element, which differ in that the sample receiving element executes different movement sequences.
