- the electrode pattern according to the present invention is characterized in that it is a thin layer on a sheet-like body, and is formed from a conductive material with a surface resistivity of 200 ⁇ /sq or less.
- the surface resistivity is the surface resistance value per unit area (1 cm2 ) of the test object.
- the electrode pattern formed in the present invention preferably has a surface resistivity of 200 ⁇ /sq or less, and that an electrode pattern with a resistance value exceeding 200 ⁇ /sq will not sufficiently pass electricity through the skin and is therefore unsuitable for exerting the desired electrical effect.
- the current value output by the cosmetic module of the present invention is preferably in the range of 1.5 mA to 4.0 mA. It was found that with a current of 1.5 mA, although a tingling sensation was felt, it was difficult to obtain a physical sensation similar to muscle contraction, whereas at a current of 1.8 mA or more, the physical sensation of muscle contraction began to occur. The most practical range is 2.4mA or more, which provides a sufficient sensation. On the other hand, if the output is increased, the current value will increase, but the rechargeable battery and circuit will become larger, making it difficult to provide a compact beauty module. Therefore, the optimum range is 1.5mA to 4.0mA.
- Examples of conductive materials include gold, silver, copper, carbon, graphene, and conductive silicon.
- the thickness of the electrode pattern is preferably 30 ⁇ m to 100 ⁇ m.
- Figure 1 is an inner view of the beauty mask placed on the skin side of the mask to be worn on the user's face
- Figure 2 is an outer view of the mask placed on the front side.
- the paper and nonwoven fabric materials are made by intertwining natural plant fibers, natural animal fibers, and man-made fibers into sheets, and materials such as pulp, cotton, silk, wool, polyester, polypropylene, rayon, nylon, glass fibers, and biodegradable fibers are used.
- Pulp raw materials include wood-based paper mulberry, Mitsumata, and gampi, herbaceous hemp, flax, and kenaf, and vascular bundles of monocotyledonous plants (straw, reed, rush, papyrus, bamboo, and bagasse).
- various materials may be mixed with the pulp, such as crushed powdered eggshell membrane.
- a cosmetic mask it is preferable to use one that is easily impregnated with liquid, particularly cosmetic liquid, etc. Because paper and nonwoven fabric have a porous structure, they are characterized by being highly breathable, water-absorbent, and moisturizing. In addition, to improve the aesthetic appeal, beauty masks can be colored, patterned, or scented. Japanese paper can also be used to enhance the luxurious feel.
- the sheet-like body of the present invention can be provided as a single sheet of paper or nonwoven fabric, and is therefore characterized by being inexpensive and easily replaceable. It is particularly preferable that the sheet-like body be made of paper or nonwoven fabric, since it comes into contact with the skin and therefore not only ensures hygiene but also gives a feeling of cleanliness.
- the present invention is not limited to these examples, and the sheet-like body may be made of cloth, which is a woven material of various materials, or a conventional elastic material such as silicone. Even when these materials are used, the effect of the present invention, which allows electrodes to be formed easily and inexpensively, is fully exhibited.
- the sheet-like body only needs to be generally flat, and includes shapes with irregularities and holes of any size, shapes molded three-dimensionally to fit the shape of a face, and long, thin shapes like a band.
- the cosmetic mask (1) is composed of the cosmetic mask sheet (10) shown in Figs. 1 and 2, as well as a terminal portion and a connecting portion which are not shown in Figs.
- the cosmetic mask sheet (10) is formed in a substantially circular shape so as to cover almost the entire face, and has openings (11), (11), (12), and (13) corresponding to the eyes, nose, and mouth, respectively.
- the nose opening (12) is structured to open to the front side by a linear slit that follows the nose convexity.
- first attachment section (14) for attaching the terminal section and a second attachment section (15) for attaching the connection section are formed by multiple holes and slits.
- first slits (16) (16) are provided in the horizontal direction (3 o'clock and 9 o'clock directions), and below that, second slits (17) (17) are provided at a 45-degree angle (4:30 and 7:30 directions).
- Each slit allows the flat beauty mask sheet (10) to be folded to fit when attached to the face.
- two slits may be provided as appropriate, such as two in the 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock direction and two in the 11 o'clock to 12 o'clock direction, but the first slit (16) in particular is important for preventing wrinkles in the beauty mask sheet (10) and improving the fit when a rigid body is attached to the first attachment part (14) and the second attachment part (15).
- the first slit (16) may be provided at an angle up to about the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock directions.
- the size of the circular shape of the cosmetic mask sheet (10) can be appropriately set according to the user, but according to the findings of the inventors, a diameter of 240 to 280 mm is preferable, and 260 mm is particularly optimal.
- the shape of the cosmetic mask is not limited to the above, and can be changed arbitrarily, such as an oval shape, a shape that covers only part of the face, or a shape that has parts that hang from the ears.
- the skin side of the beauty mask sheet (10) is provided with a printed pattern (20) printed with conductive ink for passing electricity that has a beauty effect.
- the printed pattern is divided into a right-side printed pattern (21) that contacts the right half of the face, and a left-side printed pattern (22) that contacts the left half.
- electricity is passed through the human body between the skin electrodes formed by the left and right printed patterns.
- the method of passing electricity is not limited to dividing it into left and right, but it is also possible to divide it into two polarities within the left and right printed patterns, or all the electrodes on the beauty mask sheet (10) may be one pole, with the other pole coming into contact with the human body at a different part.
- the print pattern (20) is formed on the forehead area above the eye openings (11) and on the cheek area to the sides of the nose and mouth openings (12) (13), and a large number of sections B separated by closed curves (including straight lines) A are arranged as non-printed areas.
- the non-printed areas are roughly triangular, but may also be roughly polygonal with more than a square or a circle.
- the printed areas between sections B are divided into skin electrodes for exerting an electrical effect and current paths through which a current flows that does not exert an electrical effect.
- the conductive ink printing pattern (20) can determine whether or not it exerts an electrical effect by changing the width between sections B depending on the value of the current passed through each section.
- the specific width can be changed depending on the conductivity of the printing pattern and the type of desired electrical effect, but as in this embodiment, it is preferable that skin electrodes suitable for generating a bodily sensation using EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) as an electrical effect have a width of 10 mm or more, or an electrode portion area of 50 square millimeters or more, and skin electrodes for ion introduction have a width of 1 mm or more, preferably 3 mm or more, or an electrode portion area of 10 square millimeters or more.
- the electrical current path is relatively narrower than the skin electrode and can be made to have a width that does not cause any electrical effect even when it comes into contact with the skin surface.
- the frequency at which electricity is passed through the printed pattern is preferably several Hz to several kHz, particularly 2 Hz to 100 Hz for the zygomatic and masseter muscles, and several Hz to 50 Hz for the orbicularis oculi muscle, but is not limited to this.
- the present invention makes it possible to determine various electrical actions using only the print pattern, while also contributing to improving the product's appeal by providing a unique appearance.
- the orbicularis oculi electrode section (201) is formed by a closed curve C of a unique shape
- the zygomatic muscle electrode section (202) is defined inside a curve D of a unique shape that extends from an area outside the print pattern (20)
- the masseter muscle electrode section (203) is defined by a curve E of a similar unique shape. (In the illustration, only the right side is shown, but the left side is similar.)
- the orbicularis oculi electrode section (201) consists of circular sections on both sides and straight sections connecting the circular sections, and has a large, band-shaped printed area, making it a skin electrode primarily for passing electricity through the orbicularis oculi muscle.
- the zygomatic muscle electrode section (202) consists of one circular section at the bottom, two straight sections that branch off from the circular section and extend upward and diagonally upward to the right, and a circular section formed at each end. It is a skin electrode that has a large, wide printing area and is primarily used to pass electricity through the zygomatic muscle.
- the masseter muscle electrode portion (203) is a printed area defined as a circular portion by a curve E that slightly protrudes from the outside of the printed pattern (20), and is a skin electrode primarily for passing electricity through the masseter muscle.
- the printed area between section B1 and section B2 is current path G1
- the printed area between section B1 and section B3 is current path G2
- the node where these current paths converge has a certain area and constitutes skin electrode H.
- Skin electrode H has a smaller area than the orbicularis oculi electrode portion (201) and passes a smaller amount of current through the skin. As it is not felt very well for EMS purposes, it mainly functions for iontophoresis.
- the printing pattern (20) can configure the skin electrode H, the orbicularis oculi electrode portion (201), the zygomatic muscle electrode portion (202), and the masseter muscle electrode portion (203) as skin electrodes, and the narrow printing area sandwiched between sections B etc. as an electrical current path.
- the printing pattern of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and may be a configuration including only dots, lines, or skin electrodes of a predetermined shape. Even when multiple skin electrodes are connected by a current path, the current path may be formed by any conductor such as a metal wire or pad printing using silver paste instead of a printing pattern.
- the position and area relationship between the sheet-like body and the printed pattern may be arbitrary. For example, a printed pattern having approximately the same area as the sheet-like body may be provided to form only the skin electrode.

A feature of the present invention is that an electrode pattern is printed, coated, attached, or the like onto a sheet-like material, and the electrode pattern forms an electrode for skin in an area that comes into contact with the skin surface of a user.
In this example, a printed pattern of conductive ink containing a polythiophene-based conductive polymer is used as an example of an electrode pattern. Polythiophene-based conductive polymers are polymer materials that have traditionally been characterized as insulators, but they have been developed as conductive polymers. For example, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrenesulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) can be mentioned. During polymerization, PEDOT generates cations at a ratio of one for every 3-4 thiophene rings due to an excess of oxidizing agent, and these are stabilized by Coulomb interaction with the dissociated sulfo groups of PSS. In PEDOT:PSS, these cations become charges (carriers) that move within the molecule, so the material exhibits conductivity.

The current value output by the cosmetic module of the present invention is preferably in the range of 1.5 mA to 4.0 mA.

It is particularly preferable that the sheet-like body be made of paper or nonwoven fabric, since it comes into contact with the skin and therefore not only ensures hygiene but also gives a feeling of cleanliness.
However, the present invention is not limited to these examples, and the sheet-like body may be made of cloth, which is a woven material of various materials, or a conventional elastic material such as silicone. Even when these materials are used, the effect of the present invention, which allows electrodes to be formed easily and inexpensively, is fully exhibited.

The cosmetic mask (1) is composed of the cosmetic mask sheet (10) shown in Figs. 1 and 2, as well as a terminal portion and a connecting portion which are not shown in Figs.
In this embodiment, the cosmetic mask sheet (10) is formed in a substantially circular shape so as to cover almost the entire face, and has openings (11), (11), (12), and (13) corresponding to the eyes, nose, and mouth, respectively. The nose opening (12) is structured to open to the front side by a linear slit that follows the nose convexity.

On both the left and right ends, a first attachment section (14) for attaching the terminal section and a second attachment section (15) for attaching the connection section are formed by multiple holes and slits. Directly below the first attachment section (14) and the second attachment section (15), first slits (16) (16) are provided in the horizontal direction (3 o'clock and 9 o'clock directions), and below that, second slits (17) (17) are provided at a 45-degree angle (4:30 and 7:30 directions). Each slit allows the flat beauty mask sheet (10) to be folded to fit when attached to the face.
In addition to the above, two slits may be provided as appropriate, such as two in the 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock direction and two in the 11 o'clock to 12 o'clock direction, but the first slit (16) in particular is important for preventing wrinkles in the beauty mask sheet (10) and improving the fit when a rigid body is attached to the first attachment part (14) and the second attachment part (15). The first slit (16) may be provided at an angle up to about the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock directions.
The size of the circular shape of the cosmetic mask sheet (10) can be appropriately set according to the user, but according to the findings of the inventors, a diameter of 240 to 280 mm is preferable, and 260 mm is particularly optimal.
The shape of the cosmetic mask is not limited to the above, and can be changed arbitrarily, such as an oval shape, a shape that covers only part of the face, or a shape that has parts that hang from the ears.

The skin side of the beauty mask sheet (10) is provided with a printed pattern (20) printed with conductive ink for passing electricity that has a beauty effect. As shown in the figure, the printed pattern is divided into a right-side printed pattern (21) that contacts the right half of the face, and a left-side printed pattern (22) that contacts the left half. As described below, electricity is passed through the human body between the skin electrodes formed by the left and right printed patterns. Note that the method of passing electricity is not limited to dividing it into left and right, but it is also possible to divide it into two polarities within the left and right printed patterns, or all the electrodes on the beauty mask sheet (10) may be one pole, with the other pole coming into contact with the human body at a different part.
The print pattern (20) is formed on the forehead area above the eye openings (11) and on the cheek area to the sides of the nose and mouth openings (12) (13), and a large number of sections B separated by closed curves (including straight lines) A are arranged as non-printed areas. The non-printed areas are roughly triangular, but may also be roughly polygonal with more than a square or a circle.
The printed areas between sections B are divided into skin electrodes for exerting an electrical effect and current paths through which a current flows that does not exert an electrical effect.
In other words, the conductive ink printing pattern (20) can determine whether or not it exerts an electrical effect by changing the width between sections B depending on the value of the current passed through each section.

In other words, the conductive ink printing pattern (20) can determine whether or not it exerts an electrical effect by changing the width between sections B depending on the value of the current passed through each section.
The specific width can be changed depending on the conductivity of the printing pattern and the type of desired electrical effect, but as in this embodiment, it is preferable that skin electrodes suitable for generating a bodily sensation using EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) as an electrical effect have a width of 10 mm or more, or an electrode portion area of 50 square millimeters or more, and skin electrodes for ion introduction have a width of 1 mm or more, preferably 3 mm or more, or an electrode portion area of 10 square millimeters or more.
As a general definition, the electrical current path is relatively narrower than the skin electrode and can be made to have a width that does not cause any electrical effect even when it comes into contact with the skin surface.

When the electrical effect of EMS is the objective, the frequency at which electricity is passed through the printed pattern is preferably several Hz to several kHz, particularly 2 Hz to 100 Hz for the zygomatic and masseter muscles, and several Hz to 50 Hz for the orbicularis oculi muscle, but is not limited to this.
For iontophoresis, a direct current or a pulse current of about several kHz, for example, a current of 5 V, 1.5 kHz, is preferable, but is not limited to this.

For iontophoresis, a direct current or a pulse current of about several kHz, for example, a current of 5 V, 1.5 kHz, is preferable, but is not limited to this.
In this way, by providing sections B in the print pattern and varying the degree of electrical action depending on the area, the present invention makes it possible to determine various electrical actions using only the print pattern, while also contributing to improving the product's appeal by providing a unique appearance.
In this embodiment, the orbicularis oculi electrode section (201) is formed by a closed curve C of a unique shape, the zygomatic muscle electrode section (202) is defined inside a curve D of a unique shape that extends from an area outside the print pattern (20), and the masseter muscle electrode section (203) is defined by a curve E of a similar unique shape. (In the illustration, only the right side is shown, but the left side is similar.)
The orbicularis oculi electrode section (201) consists of circular sections on both sides and straight sections connecting the circular sections, and has a large, band-shaped printed area, making it a skin electrode primarily for passing electricity through the orbicularis oculi muscle.
The zygomatic muscle electrode section (202) consists of one circular section at the bottom, two straight sections that branch off from the circular section and extend upward and diagonally upward to the right, and a circular section formed at each end. It is a skin electrode that has a large, wide printing area and is primarily used to pass electricity through the zygomatic muscle.
The masseter muscle electrode portion (203) is a printed area defined as a circular portion by a curve E that slightly protrudes from the outside of the printed pattern (20), and is a skin electrode primarily for passing electricity through the masseter muscle.
As explained above for the left side printed pattern (22), the printed area between section B1 and section B2 is current path G1, and the printed area between section B1 and section B3 is current path G2, and the node where these current paths converge has a certain area and constitutes skin electrode H. Skin electrode H has a smaller area than the orbicularis oculi electrode portion (201) and passes a smaller amount of current through the skin. As it is not felt very well for EMS purposes, it mainly functions for iontophoresis.
At the same time, when a printing pattern (20) such as that of this embodiment is used, current is concentrated at nodes from a large number of thin current-carrying paths, making it possible to form skin electrodes at each node, which is particularly advantageous for constructing electrodes that are intended to act on the entire face, such as for iontophoresis.
As described above, the printing pattern (20) can configure the skin electrode H, the orbicularis oculi electrode portion (201), the zygomatic muscle electrode portion (202), and the masseter muscle electrode portion (203) as skin electrodes, and the narrow printing area sandwiched between sections B etc. as an electrical current path.

The printing pattern of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and may be a configuration including only dots, lines, or skin electrodes of a predetermined shape. Even when multiple skin electrodes are connected by a current path, the current path may be formed by any conductor such as a metal wire or pad printing using silver paste instead of a printing pattern.
The position and area relationship between the sheet-like body and the printed pattern may be arbitrary. For example, a printed pattern having approximately the same area as the sheet-like body may be provided to form only the skin electrode.

The fixed protrusions (45)(45)(45)(45) are inserted into the fixed hole portions (141)(141)(141)(141) (see FIG. 2) in the first attachment portion (14) of the cosmetic mask sheet (10) and fitted into a fixed recess (not shown) of the outer plate (41) with the cosmetic mask sheet (10) sandwiched therebetween, thereby forming the terminal portion (40).

The above configuration ensures electrical continuity between the second magnetic terminal (44), the sheet electrode (23) of the printed pattern (20), the electrical current path, and the skin electrode.
At this time, as described above, the outer plate (41) and the inner plate (42) are fitted together to firmly sandwich the cosmetic mask sheet (10), thereby ensuring contact between the second magnetic terminal (44) and the sheet electrode (23).

Then, as shown in FIG. 7, the beauty module attachment part is attached to the beauty mask sheet (10) with the terminal part (40) attached, and the first magnetic terminal (43) and the second magnetic terminal (44) exposed on the outer surface side of the terminal part (40) are magnetically attached to the first module electrode (33) and the second module electrode (34) of the beauty module (3), allowing electricity to flow from the beauty module (3).
In the present invention, the beauty module (3) may be attached not only to the right printed pattern (21) but also to the left printed pattern (22) in the exact same way. However, in this case, the user needs to attach, detach and operate two beauty modules (3), which increases the weight of the entire beauty device (1) and increases the product price.
Therefore, in the present invention, a technique is created for providing a power transmission path for transmitting power to a sheet electrode of a sheet-like body and a remote electrode that is remote from the sheet electrode.

As shown in FIG. 9, a metal conductor (52) is laid along the vicinity of the upper edge of the cosmetic mask sheet (10), and a semicircular seal sheet (54) is attached from above to cover the metal conductor (52). The attachment method may be adhesion with an adhesive or thermocompression bonding. The cosmetic mask sheet (10) and the seal sheet (54) are preferably made of the same material, but may be made of different materials. Also, designs using the seal sheet may be created by changing the material, coloring, or pattern.
The structure of the connection part (60) will be described.
The connection part (60), like the terminal part (40), is configured to sandwich the second attachment part (15) of the cosmetic mask sheet (10) between an outer plate (61) and an inner plate (not shown).
The outer plate (61) has fixing recesses (62) that pass through fixing holes (151) (see FIG. 2) of the second mounting part (15) and engage with fixing protrusions (not shown) of the inner plate to fix the outer plate to the second mounting part (15).

The second mounting portion (15) has a folded portion (152) formed by making a U-shaped cut. The folded portion (152) is located on the separation electrode (24) of the print pattern (20) shown in Figure 1, and by folding the cut portion to the outer surface, the separation electrode (24) appears on the outer surface.
The second lug terminal (53) is in electrical contact with the outer surface side of the folded portion (152) via a neodymium magnet (63).

As described above, in this embodiment, the right printed pattern (21) and the left printed pattern (22) are electrically insulated from each other, so the left printed pattern (22) is distinguished from the skin electrode in the right printed pattern (21). Here, it is called a remote skin electrode. And electricity is passed between the skin electrode and the remote skin electrode through the human body.
However, in the practice of the present invention, it is not necessary to configure both electrodes with printed patterns as described above, so it is also possible to provide only skin electrodes.

In the above examples, electrodes and the like are formed using a printed pattern (20) printed with conductive ink, but the present invention is not limited to printing, and the method of forming the electrode pattern can be changed as desired. As the conductive material, it is particularly preferable to use a material containing a polythiophene-based conductive polymer, and a coating or layer of this material may be formed by a known method.

The ear openings (115) are elongated ovals that are long vertically and are shaped to allow the user to hang the mask over their earloops with sufficient room to do so. Note that the present invention is not limited to ear openings that allow the mask to be hung over the ears, and various fastening methods are possible, such as a face-only configuration with no openings, a configuration with a band that wraps around the face and the back of the head, or a configuration with a string that can be hung over the ears or around the back of the head.
In addition, module slits (114) (114) for attaching the cosmetic module (3) are opened vertically linearly on the left and right just before the ear openings (115) (towards the center of the mask).
In this embodiment, the beauty module (3) is disposed on each of the left and right sides, and is positioned close to the ear opening (115), so that the beauty module (3) can be stably held.

In this embodiment, the beauty module (3) is disposed on each of the left and right sides, and is positioned close to the ear opening (115), so that the beauty module (3) can be stably held.
In this embodiment, the terminal portion (40) is inserted into each of the module slits (114) (114) so that the outer and inner surfaces are sandwiched between them. By installing the terminal portion (40) in this manner, the relevant area is reinforced, and there is an advantage that the printed pattern is less likely to be distorted even if the terminal portion is pulled left and right at the ear opening (115).
Also, openings (111), (112), and (113) corresponding to the eyes, nose, and mouth, respectively, are provided.

The nose opening (112) is structured to open to the front side by a linear cut along the nose convexity.
In this embodiment, an electrode pattern of nose electrodes (220), (221), and (222) is formed on the inner surface of the nasal opening (112). That is, the nose electrode (220) is inclined from the space between the eyebrows to the root of the nose and along both sides of the nasal bridge, the horizontal nose electrode (221) is from the ala of the nose to the tip of the nose, and the nose electrode (222) is folded back further upward.
