Abstract

Drilling and blasting work is of great importance in the construction of tunnels. During the construction of this work, it is very important to use time well in order to make an efficient blasting and protect employees in regard of safety. This invention is a device that saves time by reflecting the hole designs on the blasting surface in the blasting area and so makes the process faultless, efficient and safe.

Description

UNDERGROUND BLAST DESIGN PROJECTION DEVICE
Technical
This device(4) determines the holes to be drilled on the blasting surfaces of the underground mine, highway and irrigation tunnels in an error-free, faster, more efficient (profitable) way with minimum occuptional safety hazard.
Previous Technical Situation
Progress is made by drilling and blasting in the underground mine, highway and irrigation tunnels (1). In drilling and blasting, hole drilling is done firstly. Before the drilling, the most suitable hole design (3) is selected on the surface to be drilled and the hole locations are marked.. The holes to be drilled on the surface are marked by estimating based on experience or by measuring with meters. Howver, measurement errors, wrong design problems happens a lot in markings made in this way. Since the geometry and measurements of the holes are wrong in this method, the blasting efficiency decreases. As a result, more explosives are inevitable, resulting in an expensive detonation. Additionally, as a result of wrong hole design, unexploded areas will be formed causing many negative situations such as additional costs. In this method, marking the related blasting area will take a long time wasting lots of time. This method will also be risky in terms of occupational safety as it will create the risks of falling from a height and hitting to the ground, falling of stones during the measurement and marking of the holes in the underground area to be exploded.
Aims of this invention
It is a projection device(4) developed to eliminate all the problems mentioned above. It is planned that this device(4) will be installed in front of the blasting area in the tunnels of underground mining, highway and irrigation, etc. Data in this device will reflect(3) the selected hole design onto the surface. In this way, a large amount of time will be saved as measurement will not be done with more than one person. Since the design and dimensions of the holes are faultless, the mistakes made by measuring the holes by estimation or meter will be eliminated. Thus, an efficient blasting will be made. Occupational safety risks related to falling, hitting or falling stones will be eliminated since no measurement will be made with human power.

Detailed Description of the Invention
Progress in the underground mine, highway and irrigation tunnels is made by drillingblasting. Drilling-blasting is an important job that requires training and attention.
The first stage of drilling-blasting is the design of the area to be blasted. (3). In other words, drilling should be done by marking the most suitable hole locations on the surface. Thanks to this invention, the drilling-blasting work to be done ensures that it is error-free, fast, efficient and focused on protecting people.
The device to be placed in front of the blasting area will be placed on its feet. The device will show the area to be drilled with the pre-given surface area measurements. (2). Then, the hole design will be created by projecting the hole locations into the area. (3). In this way, it will be possible to start drilling blast holes. Thanks to the work to be done with this single device; time will be saved by not doing the measuring and marking work that was done with a few people before. Since the data is uploaded to the device on the computer, there will be no measurement errors in the mirrored holes. Thus, there will be no inefficient blasting caused by incorrect measurement. In addition, dangers such as falling stones from high, hitting, falling from a height will be avoided.
Application of the Invention to Industry
Our invention, titled "Underground Explosion Design Projector", which was mentioned in detail above, can be produced in any branch of industry, underground mining, infrastructure, road, agriculture, etc. It can be used and applied in tunnel structures.
