Abstract

The invention relates to eyeglasses having non-optical auxiliary elements adapted for use when shaving. Proposed is an eyeglass frame consisting of two lens rims connected by a bridge, and two temples connected to said rims, wherein each of the eyeglass temples comprises, in the region of the wearer's temples, an additional element which lies adjacent to the wearer's temple and has a smooth straight base, the bases of both elements being situated at the same distance from the eyeglass temple. In a second embodiment, each of the eyeglass temples comprises, in the region of the wearer's temples, an additional element in the form of a template for the contour of a beard, wherein the two templates are identical and symmetrical to one another. This broadens the functional capabilities of the eyeglasses by endowing them with an additional function, specifically that of enabling the trimming of the hair on both temples and also sideburns to the same height, as well as the symmetrical shaving of a beard.
