Description

A SYSTEM AND METHOD OF REVIEW BASED COUPON REDEMPTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a system and method of coupon redemption system, more particularly a review-based coupon system applicable in entertainment or in the retail industry.
BACKGROUND ART
In any business, feedback of the user/consumer plays a vital role for improving the quality of the product. Nowadays there are very few businesses understand the value of the feedback system and inculcate the same within their product life cycle to remain competitive. The coupons are distributed to the public to encourage the purchase of the product or to avail the services in entertainment and in the retail industry.
The coupons are distributed to the public to encourage the purchase of the product or to avail the services. The coupons are used in entertainment and in the retail industry to promote the purchase. Feedbacks from the direct users or customers are a part of marketing research method to improvise the
In visual entertainment must continually improve and refine its products and internal processes to remain competitive. A business' ability to optimize its services is directly related to how well it can "reach" its customers' experiences of those visuals through customer feedback.
Feedback is also necessary for internal departments and processes within a business. The more effectively that producers can learn a new procedure or suggest improvements to, for example, picturization processes, the better will the business perform competitively.
Feedback is just as necessary in education. A student may often reach a point in course material where he or she does not understand the concepts being taught. If the student can indicate to the teacher where the difficult material is, the teacher can be more aware of difficult concepts and can improve the course.
Feedback is also very necessary in other environments besides learning environments. For example, a testing environment in which a product or service, such as software, is being tested for operability, reliability, ease of use, etc., can implement user feedback. Product users and testers can send feedback about products or services which can greatly aid developers in testing and developing those products and services. Similarly, any product, process, service, or issue experienced by users can be improved through the collection and analysis of feedback.
In the past, the need to collect feedback from learners and other types of users has been recognized by organizations. Typically, however, feedback-gathering systems have been inefficient at best. One of the most prevalent problems in prior feedback-gathering systems is motivating users to supply accurate and worthwhile feedback. There are several reasons why users typically resist feedback, like time consuming and the conventional methods used such as questionnaire.

A coupon is targeted to a particular customer and has a customer identifier which maps the coupon to the customer in some way. The coupon provides for two redemptions, an initial redemption for a nominal amount, including zero, and a deferred redemption which provides an incentive for redeeming the coupon. Upon purchasing an item or engaging in an activity urged by the coupon, the coupon is initially redeemed. After the redeemed coupon is validated and cleared, the customer identified through the customer identifier, is rewarded by the deferred redemption amount. Fraud is not rewarded since the initial redemption amount provides for little or no compensation.
Another prior art US20120150624A1 relates to a system for online sales /automatic rebate and coupon redemption system provides online customers automatic retrieval and redemption of all applicable rebates and coupons during purchase. Purchase orders from customers are selectively fulfilled and products are shipped to the customers either by the system for online sales with automatic rebate and coupon redemption or by other merchant or manufacturer environments. The system purchases from merchants using applicable coupons and rebates and then sells the products to the customers, passing the savings to them. The system makes it possible to automatically retrieve coupons and rebates for items in a shopping cart during the activity of an online purchase at an electronic mall or an online merchant site. The system provides coupons to potential customers via email, based on customer profile, geographical information, etc. Manufacturers and merchants can update coupon value and content based on ongoing sales and volume of customer activity. Though so many prior arts exist in the field of invention, none of the prior art exemplified to encourage feedback/review of the service/product along with the coupons, and thereby complement the review and provide redemption for the coupons and disclose a novel and inventive solution as proposed in the present invention.
Hence the primary objective of the present invention is to encourage the feedback associated with the coupons by means of complement.
The secondary objective of the invention is to provide redemption for the unique codes associated with each coupon.
The third objective of the invention is to promote the services by means of a batch of coupons comprising 'n' coupons in each batch.

The sixth objective of the present invention is to prevent the duplication of the coupons and thereby providing the redemption only for the right coupons within the validity period.
The seventh objective of the invention is to store the information in the database, retrieve and use the details to check the validity of the coupon.
The eighth objective of the invention is to alert the vendors with the coupons from different locations with the messages such as invalid coupon and coupon repeated. SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to a system and method for review-based coupon redemption in the service or retail industry. The system comprises the scanning devices, where the unique code in the coupons are scanned and stored in the database. The database also stores the unique codes for each coupon in the batch, before distributed to the public. The batch of coupons are distributed to the public for their valuable intellectual review, which has its own standards of review set by the vendors. The system is predefined with the standard review for the coupons and coupon whose entire batch of coupons are received back along with the equivalent review of the standard review, are eligible for a random pick for the complement to encourage the review. Whereas all the coupons received back by the vendors are eligible for a discount or redemption depending on the industry offering such promotion. The system also identifies the repetition or duplication of the coupons and alerts the vendors by identifying the location of distribution of such coupons, redemption location if already done, and the vendor with whom the coupon was redeemed. The details of the batch of coupon holders stored in the database help the vendors to inform the coupon holder that their coupon is eligible for a random pick, where the complement may range from small gifts to a valuable property only if the coupon has the validity period and the complete batch of coupons have been reverted as programmed.

[0020] As used herein, the term "comprising" means that other steps and other components that do not affect the end result may be utilized. The term "comprising" encompasses the expressions "consisting of," and "consisting essentially of." The expression "effective amount," as used herein denotes an amount of a compound or composition sufficient to significantly induce a positive benefit, preferably an oral health benefit, but low enough to avoid serious side effects, i.e., to provide a reasonable benefit to risk ratio, within the sound judgment of a person having ordinary skill in the art. The use of singular identifiers such as "the," "a," or "an" is not intended to be limiting solely to the use of a single component, but may include multiple components. The Fig.l shows the system for processing comprising the scanning device (20) which scans the unique code in each coupon is sent to the processing unit(22), where the processing unit is connected to the network(21) to enable the data to be accessible from different locations. The processing unit notifies the vendors/service providers (15,17) about the validity and duplication of the coupon scanned and also the other updated details through the network. The details about the coupon is notified to the service provider/vendor (15,17) and is stored in the storage system (23) for future access. The network is connected to the storage system (23), to notify the vendor (15,17) and to the processing unit (22).
The Fig.2 represents the entire processing of the system, which includes the processing of the coupons, the data related to the coupons and its interaction with the storage system, and the process of redeeming of the coupon and the final complement of the coupon holder on eligibility are illustrated. Here each batch comprising 'n' number of coupons with unique code are stored in the system before it is been distributed to the public. The batch of coupons (1) are distributed to the user of the particular service or entertainment, provided each person is supposed to review the movie or the service or the product utilised. The identity and contact details of such person (9) receiving the batch of coupons are stored in the database(ll) including the batch of coupon details such as the unique coupon codes(6), validity of the coupon codes for 'm' days(7), the geographical location where the coupon is distributed, the coupon redeeming vendors/service providers(8). The batch of coupon holders further distributes the 'n' coupons to their friends/locality. Each coupon(2) has the feedback or review of a particular service/movie/product which has to be filled. The filled coupons (3) can be used by the coupon holders for their next purchase or avail of service. The coupon holders will get the redemption or discount(17) fortheir feedback, whose details are also sent to the storage system for the number of coupons in a batch. Once the number of coupons redeemed are equal to the batch number otherwise when all the coupons 'n' in a batch are redeemed, within the validity time period 'm', the exact match of the feedback as predefined by the company is compared. If the feedback/review is same as the predefined, those coupons with the matching review as that of the predefined ones are eligible for a random pick (12) and the one picked on random will be eligible for the promotional gift by the company/industry. The details of the batch holder (1) as fed in the first stage and stored in the storage system will receive the gift. All these details in each stage will be stored in the database will be stored in the database and retrieved at any time as and when required.
Fig. 3 illustrates the redemption or repetition of the coupon within the system. The new coupon(3), individual ones are scanned for their unique codes and is sent to the processing unit. The coupon validation and verification are done by the processing unit (13) by means of programming. The validation and verification details are compared to decide the validity of the coupon(14) and if it is invalid than a message (17) 'invalid coupon' is sent to the vendors/service providers for their alert else the coupon is valid and proceeds with the next stage to check the duplication of the of the coupon (16), which also alerts the to the vendors/service providers with a message 'coupon repeated' on duplication else it proceeds to the next stage of redemption amount for the coupon on purchase (18) at the vendors side(8). The coupon details with the redemption details is sent to the storage system for future reference.
