Abstract
The invention relates to a method for cleaning exhaust gas from a combustion process, comprising the steps of: 1) performing a combustion process; 2) performing a solids deposition process wherein the sulfur concentration of the combustion-process exhaust gas is reduced by addition of an additive; 3) performing a catalytic cleaning process wherein the nitrogen oxide concentration of the combustion-process exhaust gas is reduced by addition of a reducing agent, where steps 1), 2) and 3) are followed by measurement of a variable of the exhaust gas, the measured variable being selected from the group encompassing temperature, pressure, water content, sulfur content, nitrogen oxide content, reducing agent content or a combination thereof; where the amount of additive added in step 2) is regulated as a function of the measured variable of the exhaust gas; and/or the amount of reducing agent added in step 3) is regulated as a function of the measured variable of the exhaust gas; where preferably the reducing agent is also added directly to the combustion process of step 1), where the amount of reducing agent added in step 1) is regulated as a function of the measured variable of the exhaust gas. The invention further encompasses a method for cleaning sulfur-containing exhaust gas from a combustion process, comprising a catalytic cleaning process wherein the concentration of nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas is reduced by continuous addition of a reducing agent, where the amount of reducing agent added is regulated as a function of a measured variable of the exhaust gas, and where the amount of reducing agent added is set to zero for a defined duration during the catalytic cleaning process. The invention also encompasses a combustion system with exhaust-gas cleaning in which the methods can be performed.
