The study of the microbiological activity of this toothpaste was carried out on the basis of the Institute. B. Atchabarova in experiments in vitro based on the dynamics of growth of pathogenic microorganisms by the method of diffusion into agar. Museum strains were taken as pathogenic microorganisms: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus (staphylococcus aureus), Esherichia soy (E. coli), Candida (yeast-like fungus). The disk diffusion method was used as a research method. As a control for bacterial growth, samples containing the medium and test strains without a standard drug were used. The following method was used: the studied microbial culture was sown on the surface of the nutrient lawn in Petri dishes. Then, disks impregnated with the test base of the therapeutic and prophylactic paste were placed on the surface of the cultures. Petri dishes were placed in a thermostat for incubation for 24 hours at 37°C. After that, the presence or absence of growth of microorganisms was taken into account with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. The conducted studies show the following results: the diameter of the zone of inhibition of the growth of microorganisms was in the range from 8.5 to 13.2 mm. Number sensitive strains amounted to 80.4%. The results obtained indicate a significant antibacterial effectiveness of the claimed toothpaste.

In pathology, cytograms of the epithelium of the oral mucosa of patients revealed a large number of segmented neutrophils, the number of which varies within 59.2 ± 2.6%. The number of mononuclear cells increased significantly - 14.1 ± 3.8%. The total number of epithelial cells of all types per 1000 cells decreased due to a sharp increase in the number of neutrophils and mononuclear cells. At the same time, the ratio of the number of cells of the 1st and 2nd types to the number of cells of the 3rd and 4th types increased in the cytogram, reaching a value of 0.29 ± 0.03, which is observed during inflammation and indicates the predominance of proliferation processes over the processes differentiation. The treatment carried out by new drugs caused changes in the cytological picture of smears-prints in patients with pathology of the periodontium and oral mucosa. Positive dynamics in relation to all indicators, compared with baseline indicators, is presented by statistical processing of the analysis results (P < 0.001). The picture of the cytogram in patients with periodontal pathology differed significantly from the data of the cytogram before treatment: against the background of a decrease in epithelial cells of the 1st and 2nd types, an increase in epithelial cells of the 3rd and 4th types was noted. The number of phage cells, mononuclear cells, and bare-nuclear monocytes decreased. But the most significant was the decrease in segmented neutrophils - almost 1.5 times, which indicates a positive trend in prevention. A positive picture of cytograms was noted in patients with pathology of the oral mucosa: there was a sharp decrease in the number of segmented neutrophils, mononuclear cells, phage cells and contaminated epithelial cells of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th types, but they did not reach the norm. There was a clear tendency to increase epithelial cells of the 3rd and 4th types.
For cytological studies, the Romanovsky-Giemsa method was used. Staining was carried out with various mixed indicators in 2 stages: stage 1 - eosin-methylene blue for 15 minutes. At this stage, the nuclei of the cells are stained. Stage 2 - using azur-eosin according to Romanovsky for 35 minutes. Types I, II, III, and IV epithelial cells, contaminated, phage cells, mononuclear cells, including bare nuclear cells, neutrophils, and dystrophically altered cells per 1000 cells were counted. During cytological examination of smears with the help of a professional package of statistical programs StatSoft "Statistica - 6", digital material was processed, followed by analysis of the data obtained. The significance of differences in mean values was assessed using Student's t-test.
